The Rose Garden was particularly stunning on this day. The flowers were in full bloom, basking happily in the blinding rays of the sun above. Although the Rose Garden was busy, it was still rather tranquil in comparison to other parts of Fiore. It hadn't been like this for very long though. The past few weeks had been chaotic around the Rose Garden as people pushed, sweated and bled while waiting for a passport - with the latter usually going home empty handed - a sight that would have been expected of a city like Era or the port town of Hargeon, but here it was a massive contrast to the usual chilled atmosphere.
This was a great day for Lady Kara Matheson, who would've probably been one of the ones causing the bleeding had she been here in those few weeks. As a noblewoman she had a passport already, and could have used that at any given point. Unfortunately that changed when she re-learned her magic and joined Lamia Scale. With the new laws and regulations in place, every mage regardless of their background had to be checked. Thus the money that she'd spent getting her passport before was wasted, and Kara was NOT happy about it. She huffed once again as she walked towards the queue where the passports were being distributed. "It's sooooooo hot. Stupid laws not letting me use my stupid passport to go around stupid earthland. Stupid." she hissed, as her shoulders slump and her head drooped. The worst part about this was that she'd worn a dress today because of the weather, and yet she felt no cooler for it as there was absolutely no breeze.
The queue wasn't massive with maybe about ten people ahead of her. But this heat made it feel like she'd already walked and waited for hours. Stupid passport...should've gotten Marick to make himself useful and get me one... she grumbled in her head. After a short while of waiting she was finally closer to the desk. Just two more people ahead of her, then she could get her passport and go. Unfortunately for her she was now in the middle of the queue, with a group of young men stood behind her snickering. One of them tapped her on the shoulder, to which she turned her head ever so slightly. "Don't touch me..." she hissed. One of the men laughed hysterically, while another simply mimicked her. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath Stay calm...they'll get what's coming to them... she thought to herself. She smiled as the queue dropped and she was able to walked over to the desk. The woman behind the reception smiled politely at Kara. "I'm Lady Kara Matheson of Lamia Scale." Kara handed her old passport across to the woman who looked between the passport and the purple haired girl before her. She could see the Lamia Scale insignia on Kara's wrist, which was all the evidence she needed. "Okay, we'll get a new photo quickly and then I'll transfer the details over and add your new ones." As the photo was about to be taken however, one of the boys from behind Kara began to flick the skirt of her dress. Kara's eyes glazed over and glowed red as her face turned dark as the boys continued to laugh.
*click* The camera caught her expression perfectly.

"Amethyst-make! HAMMER!" She shrieked, creating a large hammer from her hands. The boys watched in horror as she swung it around and smashed them all in one hit, sending them flying into the air. The hammer dissipated in her hand as she turned back to the receptionist. She giggled nervously in response "Perhaps I can just transfer your photo from your old passport..." she offered. Kara nodded in response, sweating profusely; that was not a spell she'd mastered yet, and it had drained a lot of her magic power. The receptionist left the desk for a few moments, then returned with a new passport. The cover had the Lamia Scale insignia, and inside were all of the details the old passport had had, plus the Lamia Scale insignia under her photo. Kara took it and walked away, her shoulders even more slumped than before. She left the Rose Garden in low spirits, simply wanting to return home. As she left she heard the distinct sound of bodies hitting the floor, as the group of boys finally landed from her strike. An evil smirk appeared on her face and she turned around to look at them, waving her passport happily.
"Have a nice daaaaay~"
