  Personality:

Asami was raised by a monk named Ori a middle aged man that dedicated his life to learning and opening himself up to the world. Ori said that he found Asami as a young child in a burning building crying for help, he doesn't know how she got there or where her family were. He took her in and trained her in the pursuit of learning about the world itself and the elements that make it up.

Ori never hid that he wasn't her family and that they were purely master and apprentice, this caused some issues with Asami who after never getting any kind of affection from anyone tried to run away. She ran away to a city where she spent a few days trying to survive, doing things like stealing and begging before she was taken to an orphanage. She learnt that the orphanage was selling unwanted children to people for labour and realised that this was the sort of thing Ori had been protecting her from. She once again left and found Ori waiting for her as he followed her and knew exactly where she was to make sure she didn't get hurt.

After this ordeal Ori began to show her more affection and they had a happy life and relationship. Ori began teaching Asami how to defend herself and he also helped her learn magic, how to mould the earth around them into her own designs. When Asami had learnt more about the world, she would receive a tattoo to signify that element which are the 3 tattoos she has that represent wind, water and earth. The element that Asami struggled with was fire, she couldn't control her anger and because of this she never managed to completely open up to the world.

After she turned 18 Ori told her that she should go on a pilgrimage and see the world, so he mapped out a route to different locations for her to visit, but she didn't want to leave him. Eventually Ori sent Asami to meditate and left before she got back, Asami was distraught but realised that he had left of his own choosing as his belongings were gone and hers were untouched.

Asami is a lonely person she has spent a lot of her life without friends and family which has been difficult in itself but she always had Ori. Since Ori's disappearance she feels an intense loneliness and need to connect with people.

Asami has a naive curiosity for the world, living with Ori in the wilderness she doesn't know a huge amount about the world, she was taught a lot about it by Ori but there is only so much knowledge you can gain without first-hand experience. Asami loves learning new things but views everything she learns in a good light even if others understand more difficult truths about them.

Asami is an upbeat person, she is comfortable in herself and is never afraid of trying to bring that feeling out in others because talking to other upbeat people makes her feel happy and comfortable. She does struggle with keeping such a good mood when left alone with her thoughts as she secretly blames herself for Ori disappearing, thinking that she drove him to leave.

Asami can be explosive when something she views as wrong happens she has trouble controlling herself and it has been something she has struggled to manage all of her life. She understands the way things should be and how everyone should be kind to each other but when seeing the opposite of this she can't control her anger.

Gullible: Asami isn't entirely used to conversation and people playing tricks and such so she will take what people say at face value and not question it. This can cause issues for her but eventually shows her who she can trust.

Loyal: Asami is a loyal person, once someone has gained her trust and belief they will struggle to lose it. She will have their back even when they are wrong or she doesn't agree with them and attempt to speak with them about it in private if she disagrees.

In combat Asami tries to keep cool and collected, attempting to think about her moves and how she can change the fight to gain the upper hand. She attempts to use her world knowledge in her fights, being unbreakable, flexible and unpredictable. Asami has trouble controlling her anger however and can be made to stop thinking and start using her anger to fight.

Asami works well under a leader, herself and Ori would fight together frequently and she never had trouble following his command, however as mentioned earlier her anger can get the better of her and if this happens she will have a hard time listening to her leader on what to do.

Asami has no experience being a leader and wouldn't know where to start she only focuses on herself during fights and once again her anger would not help her think straight.
 
Likes:

Asami likes learning about the world, as she was so disconnected with it through her childhood and early adulthood, there is so much to learn and to her it is like learning about another world that exists in parallel with her own world.

Asami does love her own 'world' too, she loves getting out into nature and just being. She loves  cities and towns but she always has to get away from them at times just to enjoy the world, the wind flowing through the world, the water so free and unrestrained and the earth so diligent and unyielding.

Asami likes connecting with people, spending time with them just talking, doing activities or even going on jobs with them. Connecting with people like this helps her not feel so self conscious as it shows that some people do like her and there isn't anything wrong with her.

Asami likes the feeling she gets when she helps someone, she can feel the happiness it brings them and gives her happiness too. She doesn't enjoying helping thankless people and will usually avoid doing so as she doesn't get the same feeling.
 
Dislikes:

Asami dislikes when people believe her to be stupid, she has knowledge and is good at learning but doesn't have the experience that others do in the world itself, sometimes this may seem like stupidity to people and when people treat her like this it hurts her.

Asami dislikes the use of sarcasm, she has trouble understanding it and she believes that if you're going to say something you should say it and not avoid it. Particularly she dislikes it when people use it to make negative comments as those should be said to someone's face or not at all.

Asami dislikes cruelty, whether this is through physical or verbal means she doesn't like watching or being the victim of cruelty and hatred. She feels everyone should be kind and caring to each other so seeing this makes her want to stop it and can often cause her anger to emerge.

She has always longed for a permanent place to live but has never had it, she hopes her pilgrimage will help her find her home by visiting so many places she hopes she will find a place she loves enough to call home.

Asami has a need to finish her pilgrimage as she feels it's a way to still feel close to Ori even though he is gone. She is terrified of what will happen once she finishes as he will truly be gone from her life afterwards. Abandonment: Asami is terrified of people abandoning her, since Ori disappeared she has fought with herself about whether it was her fault and if she just wasn't a good enough person and this is why he left. She worries about abandonment which is why it may be difficult for her to truly come to care for people, because if she cares for someone then it gives them the opportunity to abandon her.

Self Consciousness: Asami is scared that the reason Ori left and she struggles with people is that there is something wrong with her. Asami's self consciousness eats at her when she is alone and she needs frequent reassurance that she is a normal person that people don't try to avoid or dislike, she gets this reassurance by managing to talk to people and have what she believes is a pleasant interaction.

Asami fears failure, failure in her training and failure in her abilities. She has trained all her life and worries that her life will have been useless if she is a failure.
