The silver haired vampire woke up from bed in her chamber within the castle of Errings Rising, which stood firm atop of a peak of the mountain Hokabe. She had recently joined the guild after he centuries long slumber within her dungeon, in which she had been imprisoned on the ground of witchcraft, profanity, regicide, mass murder and what not; all were very much true. Atarah had been a princess of a royal family that ruled over a kingdom, nowadays swollen into the mighty kingdom of Pergrande. She was discontent with her disposition and had always been a wicked child, she did not believe in the gods and found solace in imagination; a place where she ruled and punished those that did her wrong in the real world. It was this fantasy she had that piqued her curiosity into the Devil, and it so happened the Devil had his eyes upon her. The Devil entered her fantasies and made them true, slowly corrupting her until she fell completely from grace; it was Him who drove her into a madness in which she performed a ritual to become an Estrië, a sort of vampire or succubus and pledged her loyalty to the Fallen One. It was after that, with her new form and powers, that she sneaked into her father’s castle and slaughtered her family, the castle’s servants and the guards. She took her fathers crown and ruled her ancestral lands in a bloody grip until her people rose up and the armies of other kingdoms crossed her bothers. The vampire had no chance and fled to the South, and it was there that she was captured and placed within a tomb; sealed by not only stone but hexes and spells, to ensure she would never be free but their magic has faded with time and Atarah broke her bindings. She wandered for some time, weakened by her imprisonment and malnourishment, and learned about the guild of Errings Rising; she had to find a place to grow back the strength she lost and grow stronger than she was before, Errings Rising seemed a place she could do so.

Errings Rising was a peculiar guild and at times it’s members annoying, at such times she either went down the mountain to one of the minor settlements to unleash her agitation with blood, fire and darkness or she would disguise herself and partake into the world of the muggles to be gone from the guild for a while. It was one of days, that she would go out and traverse the muggle world. Atarah had taken on her alter ego, named Veronica. Veronica has long white hair, just like her normal appearance but it is wavy rather than straight; her eyes that normally glow blue are amber coloured. She wore a sweater made of white wool, a black leather skirt and very tall black boots that over her knee’s. A long red trench coat framed her whole and her hands were covered with supple black leather gloves.

Veronica had travelled to Clover Town a place to the East of Hakabe, in the middle of the largest lake of Fiore. It was there that she learned of the mysterious death of six youth, two others had survived those deaths and talked about a masked man; whom rumours claim to be Kayson Warheez, someone who more frequently kills people. The tales she heard piqued her curiosity as it seemed this Kayson wasn’t truly a man of sorts but more like a spirit or demon as some even claimed. There was job request to find out what happened and bring down Kayson and Veronica decided to partake in the job, not so much to make the murders stop but to find out if she could bend Kayson or her will if he indeed be a demon. She travelled to the place where the murders have happened, and waited upon one other person; the officials of the town had told her someone else was on the job as well.

The sun was setting, as an eerie chilling wind came from the east, whistling through the leaves of the trees. Amelia was walking through, unaffected by scenery as she is far to familiar with this type of job, however the Gynoid was more concerned about the Nature Fairy walking beside her.  She could tell something was wrong since Luna kept shifting her gaze, looking about at the environment, and randomly saying strange things with plants. She had gotten used to Luna somehow having the ability to talk to plants as well as animals, however it was never like this. All she gathered was, there was a masked man.

She held Luna's hand gently before looking up at the pink haired girl's eyes "Luna, what's wrong." A shadow had came over Luna, all that she had done in response as shakily take a deep breath. It was clear to Amelia, that there wasn't a mere minor issue. "Scared, she's scared..." Amelia stopped and walked in front of Luna, it was clear that something had to be taken care of before they approached the sight. "What? Who is scared? Are, you?"

Luna shook her head, what she has been hearing about for the past hour from the plants and wild life, and the feelings they had resonated within Luna. As a nature Fairy, she was emphatically aware and very influenced by their feelings. "No, nature, or at the very least the surrounding area is. look!" Luna walked off the trail by a few meters and through the forest, she activated her fire whip to illuminate the scene.

Amelia was stunned by what she saw, she gasped and took a few steps back, before leaning her side against tree, keeled over and vomited out what one could only assume to be some sort of yellow liquidized magic, presumably the oil she generates to keep herself running. She took a few deep breaths, before getting back up to see Luna was simply stunned by the sight.

Looking around, it was clear something walked through here by the trail of destruction on two sides, however the area they just walked into had the odor of rotten flesh, the grass and trees were painted red with blood. The guts and internal organs of what was once a large horse scattered about, the flesh torn to shreds while it's head laid in the center, split in half from the face brutally. What was once the teeth were now powdered dust. "This was not the work of a man, this, is the work of..." "A monster..." Amelia finished before the two walked back to the main path, and followed it to the camp.

Both knew full well they were chasing after a serial killer, someone who was no stranger to taking lives, however what they just saw proved that what they were dealing with was not some run of the mill criminal. "I, can't believe a man, did that... I have been around the block for a while, but that was just, even troubles me."

Luna still in some disbelief, pulled out the job details yet again, looking at the description. "The trees say it was him, and according to the information, he is just a man, and rumors say, he is a dead man, literally." A chill went down her spine as she began to speculate on what the man they'd be facing is like. However she pushed such thoughts out of her mind. The only thing that was clear out of everything, was that regardless of what he is, he is angry, very angry.

Approaching the scene, the summer Camp grounds that have been abandoned for a long time, Luna and Amelia saw in the distance the other person who took the job. Luna and Amelia approached the woman who appeared to be taller then the other two, appearing as though to be a beautiful woman in her twenties. "Hello there miss!" Luna called out to the woman as the two girls got near. "Hello, are you taking this job as well? I am Luna Mira, and this is my, um, Gynoid partner Amelia Thorn. Guildless mages."

Luna was relieved that there was someone else on the job, as this didn't seem to be normal. To make matters worse, the plant life around the camp, was silent, Luna could feel the essence of life, trembling.

Veronica looked up and saw two women appeared; one of them had long pink hair while the other had waving long blonde hair. Veronica, being a creature of lust and her mind long since depraved and corrupted by Lucifer, studied the women closely; she could smell their scent from a distance, with her enhanced senses. Her eyes liked what they saw but her nose stood for a riddle; pink haired one, Luna, was flesh and blood. She could clearly smell the sweet crimson life fluid within her veins, she had to hold back her cravings for her favourite feeding substance. It was the blonde, Amalie, whom puzzled her as she couldn't smell her blood; it intrigued Veronica as it seemed that Amalie wasn't not alive nor had she been alive, yet to the eye she clearly was. Did Luna referee to her blonde companion as gynoid for that reason?

"Well met. Would you believe it if I said that I am on a wonderful evening stroll? Care to join me? And enjoy the moonlit waves of the lake, the gentle wobbling black mirror with its splendid refraction of silvery light." Veronica chuckled, "I am Veronica, guildless as well. But yes, I have accepted to hunted down this infamous Kayson or..." she let a silence fall, "whatever it is. I have heard that he is quite the gruesome fellow, leaving quite the mess behind where ever it goes." Veronica was thrilled to learn more about this Kayson, it could be a great ally in future perhaps and if not, then she would have some fun with killing him. Her eyes flared up like flames of ambition as she mused herself in her thoughts.

”You mentioned Amalie is a Gynoid? May I inquire what that is or what it means? As I have never heard about it before.” Veronica was genuinely curious what it meant, too her the word sounded alien and the fact that the blonde did not seem to be alive nor dead; or any stage in between those made her head run wild with possibilities, most ended up at the dark arcane arts but neither of the two looked like people that would use such magic.

"So, how are we going to handle this? Luring him in? Sniffing him out?" Veronica thought in her mind about the things they could do; if they were going to lure it, then they could use Luna as bait. Who knew if Kayson could notice that Amalie wasn’t exactly alive and simple avoid her, it did not come up in her mind that she could be used as lure herself. She didn’t share her thoughts with the others, curious with what they would come up with or what their answers would be.

Luna was glad that the person that they met seemed on the surface to be kind and reasonable. However Luna saw something else, when she blinked she could sense life force a little stronger and in a sense see the life force. She sensed something old and unusual about the woman. At this point, she was wondering who she was dealing with, but she knew that this being, was not human.

When the woman mentioned the horrible rumors surrounding their target, Luna shuddered a bit as the sight from earlier was still fresh in her mind. "Yea, Amelia and I found his trail, we think he tried to chase the kids who got away and alerted the authorities. It was a path of destruction, there was a poor horse that got in the way, it was, ripped apart like paper with it's teeth reduced to dust."

Amelia wasn't surprised that the mysterious woman was not familiar with the term Gynoid, the technological being too rare. The Lacrima eyes that were shaped to be realistic looked at the woman with a slight annoyance. "Essentially Gynoid means female robot, as opposed to Android. I am fully sentient, capable of feeling emotions, and while the damn law alternates me between person or property I do have free will. Before you ask what makes me tick, it's archive magic lacrima and a shard of a legendary Lighning Lacrima, that gaave me a spark of life."

Luna didn't bother trying to argue with Amelia on this one, she figured she had a right to speak up for herself. She did not wish for Amelia to seem like chattel, even if that was what the law said."It's alright Amelia, she didn't mean any disrespect, I hope."

Meanwhile the subject of how to proceed was a question that had been bothering Luna for a while. She tried to analyze all the details that she had available. As far as she knew, this place seemed to hold some form of heavy significance to the man. "All his killings seem to be based around this place, I think its got some significance, such as when the kids who just barely escaped, I think he might gather his strength here, probably mostly sentimental. From the sound of it we're dealing with someone purely with abnormal strength, and possibly not a normal human either. He is able to strike fear into Nature itself. However, while it's just a theory, if there is something here that binds or strengthens him in some way, there might be an Achilles heel, I think if we look around we might find some clue as to what he is-"

Luna was cut off by a sudden loud shrieking scream as the sun was setting and the darkness of the night approaching. Luna could hear the sound of scraping metal first from the distances but then from deep inside as her heart started to race fast, faster then it ever had since Luna's heart turend to gold. In a second Luna went from calm and rationing out a theory to being drenched in her own sweat. Amelia pulled out a cloth from under her sleeve, and handed it to Luna before Luna would dry her face and arms."Whatever is going on here, is beyond natural."

Veronica listened with curiosity at Luna, who was describing the path Kayson had left behind; a couple imaginative thoughts ran through her mind when she heard about the brutalized horse. The image of the scene was blurry in her mind, but the blood was vibrant in her imagination; she could almost smell it, taste it even. She wondered what Kayson would be, surely it wasn’t human. Perhaps some lycanthrope, a vampiric being or any species of demonic being. What ever it was, an ally it could become; she was sure of herself that she could dominate the being, shattering it’s will and chain it to her own. ”how dreadful,” lied Veronica, who was actually dreading to hear more in vivid details.

The blonde was next to speak, it did not go unnoticed to the careful watch of the vampire’s eyes that she was annoyed by her question. Veronica frowned at what the ‘robot’ said, it didn’t cleared things up for her thoughts she was some the wiser; she wouldn’t ask future to avoid pissing it or her off. She wasn’t exactly human and seemed to be some sort of doll brought to life she assumed. She wondered what the archive magic was however; she couldn’t exactly imagine how magic, that she assumed to, revolved around books and parchment rolls would bring to life a doll. She owned a book with which she could bring inanimate objects alive, only required a lot of blood and a couple incantations.

The silvery-haired vampire rose her hands up as if to surrender, ”I am guilty of being curious. But I did not been to be… insensitive or disrespectful.”

Veronica thought for a moment, what Luna suggested was a lot less exciting too her. Thoughts learning more about this being could be useful she supposed, just less fun to learn it the ‘hard’ way. ”I suppose you are right, it does seem to be contained to this isle only. Perhaps but it doesn’t have to be human or human like, some creatures have a lair or territory in which they hunt and ravage; perhaps it simple found this place is ideal to set up shop. But sure, it doesn’t hurt to look around, narrowing down what we or whom we are looking for could be beneficial.” A faint smile appeared on Veronica’s pale face, ”I suppose my suggestions were a bit reckless.”

The vampire moved her head towards the direction they heard the thing; a shriek in the distance, followed by the sound of metal. Luna’s heart rate rose, she could hear it; an odd heart but thinking of that was irrelevant now. Amalie and herself stayed calm, she herself actually loved the shriek; it was pleasant to her ears. ”Perhaps,” murmured Veronica whose mind had already drifted off, wondering what they would see once they find the location of whatever had screamed.

”Come, let’s go,” said Veronice, [/b]”There was some sort settlement here wasn’t it? A bunch of buildings. Perhaps we should look there first.”[/b] That happened to be the direction the scream had come from. Mayhaps they would both find the scene and information about this Kayson.

While Luna was dealing with the feelings of the environment and trying to brave the paranormal herself on a battle of two fronts, Amelia started to get suspicious. The normal response to a shrieking voice is either to react with a fight or flight instinct, however Amelia couldn't hear any sign of distress from the woman, not even a rise in heartbeat. At first she chocked it up to calmness, but there was something unnerving about the woman. However, she knew she had to hide any such feeling of suspicion for the meantime, as she suspected that Kayson was going to be a larger threat for meanwhile. A person that can rip apart an animal stronger then most men like paper, and known to kill humans definitely was a stronger priority.

Luna and Amelia followed her to the camp, however Luna wondered how much the woman really knew about the job. Although in all fairness, Luna only knew about facilities like the place they were going to find the monster at. "This is what is known as a Summer Camp grounds. Essentially larger towns and most cities often have parents too busy to deal with their child at all hours during the summer. So places like this, the parent sends their child to have recreational fun with other children; and to make things more efficient long term they employ teenagers to work there as counselors so they can get away with paying less, parents of all sorts of minors can have a free summer so they can focus on work if summer is their busiest hours, it was a win on all fronts. I lost my parents at a young age, well my father actually died my mother just faked her death as she lied about her identity to the community, long story. Since I was the only thing keeping my brothers from falling apart, I couldn't come to places like this for financial and responsibility reasons. According the urban legend, a child died at this camp the year before it was closed, however the following year Kayson appeared, murdering all the counselors, and the campers. He was never found, the camp was closed down, then the site abandoned. Until recently, when a bunch of kids tried to explore the site, and the rest is obvious, Kayson resurfaced, and murdered them, and instead of investigation."

The two agreed with the woman's idea to search the compounds of the abandoned facility. As they walked, Luna looked, saw the buildings that suffered damage, broken windows, doors ripped off their hinges, and holes in the walls itself. Inside the cabins were scattered materials from what was some of the furniture inside the cabins. The grass was overgrown, however near the entrance were two large red rains in the grass, with a trail leading towards the water.

Amelia looked a the dried blood in the grass, the particular. "Look carefully, you can see that these people in their last moment were running away, out of the camp. These pools, if you look at the end you can see the small spatters of blood dripping off their arms. Essentially, they were scared, running away... Let's add more light."

Amelia scanned the camp, and noticed various lacrima torches hanging off each roof. figuring them to be dead she pointed to fingers at the first one, and shot a small bolt of lightning that bounced off of four torches of four different houses, causing various lacrima torches to light up, illuminating the campsight further exposing a loose, dried eyeball connected to a dried right half of a brain. There were sharp tips of bone shards scattered about. "No wonder he scares nature itself, his brutality is beyond simple combat or fear mongering. But this level of physical strength? He popped skulls like peanuts."

Amelia walked over to the brain, before looking away, she looked around at the six cabins, four moderately sized ones, two larger ones, each in a row of two moderate and one large and a few sheds by the docks. There was rather large circular platform in the center, clearly meant to be a stage of some sorts. "So, want to divide this up? Two cabins each?"

”If they are not rich enough for servants, to take care of the children then why not let them work? Seems much more beneficiary,” the vampire thought back to her own youth. There was little recreational fun to be had; it was mostly studying etiquettes and other important skills except on the holy days and a few festivities, but those days were neither al that fun; a princess had responsibilities and had to act out a whole farce if you asked her. Watching jugglers, fools and actors at a feast were straight out boring; jousts were better, there was at least a chance that blood was drawn and people or animal killed by a misfortunate placed lance. She even had a taste for the sight of blood in your younger years, years before she turned into a vampire. She shook away the sentiment of her past, it had left a bitter taste. ”That’s unfortunate to hear,” Atarah was quite out of touch with her humanity but even she knew how wrong it was for a mother to leave her whelps. ”I won’t be surprised if that dead one has something to do with it.”

The gravel road ended on a paved square, surrounded with wild grasses and six buildings. The square tiles of the square were framed by a crust of moss and weeds. ”What a wholesome sight,” said Atarah with a fake enthusiasm as she looked at the dreary place.  She noted bone fragments scattered about the square.

The vampire looked at the dried blood, she was always thirsty for the crimson fluid of life, but dried blood has no appeal to her, yet it made her thirstier than she was. She liked her lips as Amelia deduced what had happened, the image of it all played vividly in Atarah’s mind.  Her words of before rang through her mind, what a wholesome sight, this time without the irony.

Amelia turned the lights of the camp on, Atarah’s dilated pupils shrank to adjust to the light; it had not been necessary for her as she could see in the dark. Thoughts she had overlooked the brain and eye, which were both dried as well. ”Hmm yes, it must be strong indeed.” her eyes flashed with desire, she wanted this creature for her own bidding. Atarah was surprised to hear Amelia suggestion to split and search the buildings, a pleasant surprise to be sure; she had smelled blood, fresh blood from one of the buildings and her desire for the fluid craving at her, slowly withering away herself control. ”I’ll take those two,” said Atarah as pointed at the last two smaller cabins and walked at it. Bones crushed underneath her heels.

The door of the cabin was wracked to smithereens, yet the vampire continued without hesitation for she knew that nothing alive was within the building. Or rather, nothing with a heartbeat and flowing blood but she was confident that this Kayson wasn’t in here. A faint shimmering of the lacrima-lights outside shone into the building through the broken windows, the floor was littered with shards of glass and anything else that had once stood in the room. Beds, tables, chairs were strewn around and broken. There was scarcely any space without one splinter of wood or shard of glass, with the exception of one path trodden through the mess like a bear through tall reeds. The room was filled with the fragrance of blood, she strolled through the path towards the back of the room; to the source of the sweet smell. A body of a boy laid in an unnatural manner over a beam of bed, its legs were missing, and blood was spattered everywhere. She grabbed his arm and pulled it to her mouth, she dug her fangs into the flesh and started feeding. The body had lost a significant amount of blood, but it was enough to quench her thirst, she casted the body aside when she was done. She used her magic to remove the blood around her and turned it into an orb of blood, floating in the air, she swallowed that as well. ”Hmm, that was what I needed,” said Atarah to herself. There was nothing else of note within the cabin, thoughts it was not as if she did any effort; she came to feed and left.

She walked out the door, back into the night and turned to the other cabin. That door too was smashed in and when she entered the room, she saw a similar sight. Broken glass, furniture and whatnot. Again, everything was covered with bits and pieces except for the ‘bear’s path’. Atarah walked down the path there was no living thing bigger than rats in here, nor was where there any dead humans or greater animals. Her gaze was drawn to an object, a notebook, like a metal object to a magnet. She bended over to pick it up from the ground but she heard voice of a young girl before touching the book. “Help me! He…” the voice drowned in the splashing of water and then the sounds faded away. The experience intrigued her, but she did not hesitate to pick up the journal. As she did four beings rose from the ground around her, spectres whose bodies were trans lucidly blue. “Go away” said all four in sync, “Go away.” Atarah looked at the spectres, her left-hand fingers were dripping blood as ‘icicles’ of blood formed around them. ”Go away,” said the vampire annoyed. She clawed around her and ripped through all of them and they disappointed into nothing. She sighed and marched out while reading the notes. She walked while reading towards the middle of the square, were she would wait for the others and tell them what she learned from these interesting notes.

Feeling incredible fear sink in, Luna recited every prayer she was taught by her mother under her breath as she and Amelia divided paths to search their paths as they walked through the grounds. Amelia started searching the middle left cabin while Luna kept walking towards the last one on the left side. She could feel her heart racing with every step as the fear that had dominated the life around her was starting to creep into her mind, her soul, her very existence. When she approached the door she noticed it was ripped off it's hinges from the outside and thrown to the side of the cabin, wedged into the wall, however on second glance Luna saw a skeleton wedged into the wall through the ribs on the right side, while the right arm was on the floor. Luna gulped as she was able to start to see the trail of destruction as she examined the rest.

There was a path of destruction emanating from the doorway through to the end of the building, ending with the kitchen area almost untouched, except for the various blood stains and other dried liquids and bone fragments. Luna looked around and saw the stains, the torn fabric and wood. "Anger... such anger. When he imposed it onto this site, even the world itself whimpered in fear." She said before something caught her eye, the corner of a notebook through a hole in a floorboard. She knelled down and lifted the floorboard and found the board was already loose, and pulled out the notebook before opening it to look through. She noted that the writing was sloppy and hastily done, and filled with a lot of fear. Luna looked at the last few lines written.

"Why did I come here? Why didn't I say anything, this is my fault, if only I told the truth. I should have done something, I watched the sin  now he's coming, he's coming for his vengeance! It's only a matter of-"

The writing was abrupt and any other pages were torn or in a bad state of repair. Luna ran her fingers along the blood on the blade until everything turned black for her for a moment, until she saw what appeared to be the cabin but in a better state, she could see teenagers cowering and whimpering by their beds, hiding. She saw a teen boy writing in the notebook as well as scared and nervous chatter until ushered silence. She saw the teenagers turn pale as a hulking figure walked by the windows, before she saw the hand break through the wood of the cabin and rip the door off the hinges, and the counselors tried to panic and flee, and when one stood up she watched the door be tossed right through their chest.

"I am sorry, forgive me, what happened to Stanley was my-" was all the youth writing in the notebook could say before the large masked man's eyes pinned onto the youth, before starting to charge through the cabin destroying anything in his way before grabbing the youth by the face lifting him up keeping his pace until he slammed the youth's neck onto a counter. He then lifted the youth up before his grip tightened, Luna could see the a scared look in the eyes of the boy as they slowly seemed to extend from their sockets as Kayson's grip intensified, until the boy's head exploded sending blood everywhere.

Afterwards Kayson seemingly turned towards Luna, in that moment fear and panic seemed to overcome her as she looked deep into his eyes, normally when she had visions she never had such a clear and vivid sensation as the hatred emanating from this one man. Eventually she snapped out of it before finding herself drenched in a cold sweat letting out a loud scream....

Meanwhile as Luna was investigating the youth counselor's cabins, Amelia was searching the nearby camper cabin. Amelia looked through the various beds as she found the room pretty much intact. Most of the damage seemed to be in the middle of beds and others that were flipped over. She found a clipboard on the ground with a list of campers from the last year, noting that it was a few short of maximum. Flipping over a mattress she found a journal, picking it up she read it was the journal of a youth who was angry about being teased that he was doomed to die because of what happened to the last person that slept in that bed the previous year.

However before she could get any further she heard the sound of Luna's scream and through their organic link felt the sheer rush of emotions going through the fairy's mind. "Luna!" She ran towards the door before she converted her body into lightning that shot out of the cabin and straight up towards the sky before turning around to reform in front of the cabin before running in. She saw Luna on the floor, against a wall in a cold sweat holding the other notebook, her eyes locked on a target that didn't exist. Amelia ran over and leaned in towards the pink haired wizard, putting her hands on Luna's shoulders. "Luna, girl, c'mon, talk to me."

She looked down at the book in Luna's hands before back to the girl, realizing what happened. "Integrated mind... apparently I still have enough left for that..." Was all Luna could say before Amelia slowly stood up, helping Luna stand up and supported her as the two left the cabin and back outside. "How good is this guy at raising fear, he scared nature which in turn is effecting you, but can he really scare solid lifeless matter?" She said as she sat Luna down on the porch outside the cabin. Luna was still shaking, Amelia pulled out a water bottle from Luna's pocket and held her hands steady as Luna drank nearly the whole bottle. After a few moments she managed to calm down as her breathing stabilized.

"I saw... him, the fear he imprinted on this journal was enough to trigger a vision from the remnants of Integration within my system. Normally I couldn't sense or feel anything beyond vague scopes when I had the full magic in my system, but this time, I could sense the magnitude, this time, was different. I saw him pop a kid's head before he looked right into my eyes." She took a deep breath shakily. "I think he's somehow transcended humanity through anger alone. An ungodly amount."
