Man, summer is harsh. Yes, it’s a refreshing time of the ear where you don’t have to walk around in a large jacket and fear getting a cold, but… right now, Imai had a cold. It was from sweating too much and having the window open, but come on, what else was he supposed to do? Now, his room smelled of adolescence, and his skin was drenched in sweat. He almost felt as if his body was stuck on the bed - it was a gross experience.
After changing basically everything inside his room as well as having taken a bath - a long, cold and agonizing bath - he aimed to finish his device today. A lot of tinkering was waiting to be done, and his tools were laying all around his table in a chaotic manner. Most of the work had already been done off-screen, but he had to give it a memory storage system… one that could remember and store all information running through it for later use. It was crucial for today’s experiment, and Imai held great need for it.
He had found an old iLac and pulled out its memory card to compensate. He just needed a small, tough material to encase it with, and steel likely wouldn’t do the job. It would just tinker with the electrical currents, and Imai didn’t spot any other materials present at his table or in his room. He would have to go outside and search.
But first, he needed today’s round of pancakes from the guild hall’s cafeteria. That was even more important than safety as he had just strapped the strange device onto his back with all the scraps exposed, heading downstairs in the guild’s headquarters inside Mr. Large Tree to only skip through the long staircase and find himself devouring his pancake prey.
