Magazine Widget Test

Hey everyone, so I am trying out a new interactive feature and want to see how it works on FTRP. If I can get some feedback on the widget above, i.e. is it clear enough? Would people like it if it was added to the bottom of future magazines etc?

As you can see this magazine is cut short, one of the limitations of this widget is it only permits up to 31 pages, which means longer magazines will end up needing to be split into two widgets, one on top of the other. The magazine will still be formatted as it is, however this will just be added to the end of each magazine for those who fancy a more realistic flick through. So yeah, just like to hear your feedback,

That looks amazing

It looks really great! The quality is still proper, and on top of that, the widget makes it easier to load the page for mobile users/viewers, so that's a plus as well. (Although the smaller letter type does become slightly blurred when viewing on mobile, but it's still readable).

As the others above me have said, it looks really amazing! Props to you for the idea and getting it to work as smoothly as it does. I myself would enjoy seeing it added to each issue.

I decided to see how it looks on my phone to confirm what Aura had and the smaller text does look a bit blurry, but, as she mentioned, it is still readable, and I had no issue with it even on my crap phone.

The only comment I have is I'm not really sure about it being located at the end of each issue. By the time I've gotten to the end to use it I've already looked at the entire issue. Not really a big deal though, especially if you were just planning on putting a link somewhere to jump right to it.

All in all though, nice job and I look forward to seeing it in the future. ^^

You raise a fair point as I was unsure about putting it at the end, so from this I bring forth another question.

Would people be okay if it was at the top of each magazine as the first post, then the full pages beneath it for those who prefer not to use the widget?

Oh wtf, that's awesome! I'm gonna use the fuck out of that.

And I agree with Samira. Better to put it up top so people who want to experience the magazine that way can do so, while others who want to experience it the traditional way can just keep scrolling.

i say on top so if a page isn't clear for whatever reason in the flip book, they can scroll down to it

also, android it fuzzy when zoomed in, but perf on computer

So I absolutely love this. It is a great addition, and having tested it on the bus on my way here and on computer now I can say although there is some fuzzyness it still looks great, at least for me. I am 100% down for this addition.

For my opinion I feel that it actually does belong at the top, Samira had a great point that by the time people get to it they have already seen the magazine and I know although I personally would rather use the widged due to the fact that I usually read the magazine in spare time I would have read it as the pages loaded scrolling down, and then probably just skip using the widget.

Alrighty then, thank you to everyone who gave feedback on this feature, thanks to the positive response we will be implementing this feature. As such I shall lock this thread and move it to Approved Suggestions.
