Armor Grimoire
Armor Durability:
500 HP
Damage Reduction:
50 HP
Description:
Legends of old have hinted that there was once a nameless library situated atop its own floating island, shielded from the eyes and minds of the humans below by clouds. Should there not be any cloud coverage, the island could manufacture its own to keep itself safe. A lone mage maintained the library, only descending his throne of knowledge to obtain magical books deemed too powerful for the general populace to have control over by the prophetic crystal. He’d add those dangerous tomes to his frightening library, then continue floating around all of Earthland in studious solitude until he was dispatched again.
One prophecy it seemed the crystal could not foresee was its own downfall. One day the library just plunged from the sky, scattering some books to the winds and destroying others as it met its demise. Ultimately it crashed into a mountainside, fading into obscurity and taking many powerful secrets with it. Time passed and slowly the surviving texts entered back into the population.
The Tome of Talos radiates protective mana. It’s as if the book has a will of its own, and its only desire is to keep its owner safe from harm. Whoever wrote this book put their soul into its parchments filled with prayers to deities of protection and powerful magical enchantments. Perhaps they had a savior complex, but regardless of the motive, the heavy tome faithfully floats ahead of its user, ready to unconditionally defend them.
Abilities:
Name: Safety Net
Type: Passive
Description: Every spell contained within the grimoire’s pages is some sort of method of defense or a design for a shield, like how it naturally defends the user from damage like full body armor that it can recast upon breaking. In its furious, obsessive attempts to keep the owner of this tome safe, the user gains a 200% durability to defensive abilities.
Name: You Can Dish It Out...
Rank: User Rank Advanced (Up to H+)
Type: Burst
Damage: N/A
Range: User Rank Advanced Burst Range
Speed: User Rank Advanced Burst Speed
Duration: User Rank Advanced Max
Description: Pages turn in the floating grimoire at the user’s side, offering up a page with the drawing of a giant copper humanoid with a glowing blue gem in its chest. A golem about three times the height and width of the user appears out of the ground and follows the user where ever they go unless instructed to defend an ally. It seems to be a physical manifestation of the will of the tome, often expressing its desire to protect the user and/or their friends from whatever threat might be present. The golem is intent on blocking any incoming damage and can throw punches, picks, rocks, or other environmental items at foes for user rank melee damage should there be no attacks to defend. The golem can absorb the equivalent of 5x user rank advanced damage before crumbling and disappearing and cannot be pierced by spell's with piercing effects.
Name: ...But Can You Take It?
Rank: User Rank Advanced (Up to H+)
Type: Burst
Damage: User Rank Advanced Burst Damage + Charged Damage
Range: User Rank Advanced Burst Range
Speed: User Rank Advanced Burst Speed

Drawback: Cannot recast “You Can Dish It Out…” for 4 posts after this ability is used.
Description: As the golem takes damage during the previous ability, it charges 25% additional damage per post up to 150%. Once the golem’s HP either hits zero or the ability is canceled in some way, the cracks forming in the copper start to glow and flash a volatile cyan. It releases this charged self-destruct attack, serving as the golem’s last-ditch effort to defend by attempting to obliterate any foe within range. The blast will deal user rank advanced burst damage plus the percentage of damage charged.
