Description:
Originally not an item of inherent magical power, this mask has slowly and over the course of centuries been warped into a twisted, corrupted thing. It resembles another, similarly mysterious mask named for the misery it brings, and indeed, no one can say where exactly this particular object originates from. That doesn't stop people from spreading rumors about it, however. Rumors that this mask is something more akin to a concept than an actual object, nothing more of a manifestation of pure suffering, hatred, and anger, a true tragedy.

The mask itself appears partially broken, revealing a different, much darker layer underneath its enigmatic exterior, exuding a magical aura that is dark and terror-inducing to those that can sense it, awakening a sense of deep-seated, subtle frustration within everyone who happens to lay eyes on it. This feeling only intensifies when the mask is put on, the object dulling and eventually drowning out every feeling of accomplishment, happiness, fulfillment, and other positive emotions within the wearer, numbing their every sense with overwhelming feelings of wrath, anger, rage, and suffering, feeding off the user's pain and fueling it to a point of instability.

With an inferno of fury, the mask forces these emotions outward, covering the area around the user in a heavy feeling of an irresistibly burning pressure, controlling whoever wields the mask by amplifying the tragic feelings that burden them and feeding off the same feelings. Much like its sister, this mask seems to shape these emotions into the direct manifestation of magical power, warping the user's own into something different and much more sinister.

With the emergence of a second mask, some have started to question whether the existence of these strange things is really nothing more than a mystery ... or if the stories are real. A prospect that would be equally terrifying and disturbing.

Type: Passive
Description: The mask acts as a physical barrier between the self and the outside world, admittedly not focussing on concealing the wearer's identity, but rather shrouding them and their emotion in the masks influence. The mask, much like its sister, will make sure that the one it draws its power from and bestows its power to is well-fed with magic, granting them a passive 150% increase to base MP.

Type: Passive
Description: This mask drowns out the user's sense of self and personality, replacing it with nothing but furious and burning rage and unstoppable wrath that is projected outward onto anyone unfortunate enough to stand in the way of the mask's bearer. Naturally, the wearer, in their rampage, will be prone to taking damage, the mask thus granting them additional regenerative capabilities to counter the inevitable. As such, the bearer of the mask regenerates both 5% of their HP and MP per post passively. Both of these regenerations may exceed the cap for HP and MP regeneration respectively and can increase the user's regeneration past these caps.

Description: Apart from amplifying the user's negative emotions, the mask also takes delicate care to enhance the user's combat capabilities, infusing their magical essence with its own. While, in a sense, tainting the user's magic, it also strengthens some of its aspects, granting the user a passive 50% increase to base Spell Range as well as base Spell Speed.

Description: By taking the emotions the user harbors, fear, rage, suffering, and giving them a tangible form, the user can temporarily circumvent natural, physical limits, channeling energy into their own body and converting emotion into mana. A light aura that appears as red smoke begins emanating from their form, steeped in dark energy that itself bears an evil presence. As long as this ability is active the user gains a 100% increase to either their base Spell Damage or their base Strength. Only one of the two increases may be chosen per use of this ability, though it must be specified which buff is used when this ability is cast and the buff used cannot be switched until the duration of this ability runs out.

Description: Steeping their form in the billowing aura of red smoke, the magical energy travels from the mask to the user's hands where it coalesces, forming beast-like claws around them, the user radiating an intense and freezing-cold energy. Every strike with these claws that hits an enemy has immediate and overwhelming consequences for the affected, intense nausea washing over their body, making orientation a difficult task, decreasing the Damage Resistance of those affected by this ability by 100% for the duration of the ability. Further, those struck with the claws feel a creeping cold grasp at their mind, the dark emotions of the mask corrupting and infecting them like a sickness. For the duration of the ability, those hit suffer from a 10% drain to their MP once per post for the duration of the ability. Neither the debuff effect nor the drain effect can be removed in any way (e.g. negation effects), cannot be reflected or redirected, and both are unaffected by counter-effects. As per the rules for Auxiliary spells, both of those effects will pierce any and all kinds of shield, armor, or barrier, regardless of whether these contain an anti-piercing effect or not.
