Sol walked thru the streets of Era his normal wear replaced with something more suited for the cold. The deathless was garbed in black slackes and black boots but instead of the sleevless top he wore it was a long sleeve black Chinese jacket and with an ornate dragon on the back and a yin yang mark on the front on his right side. The final part of the outfit was black gloves on his hands and a pair of ear muffs on his head. “seems this event has quite a few people out and about today” he said as he glanced at the sky and noticed that it was a little after noon and yet the snow was falling lightly like glitter in the sky and kids were moving back an forth enjoying cocoa and hitting each other with snow balls. It brought the ceo back into his memorys growing up. He had never really had such a chance to do that since he had grown up on the streets but despite that if he ever had a family he would make sure his children had the chance to do the things he never could.

hmm if I recall there would be a few others here as well I should wait by the entrance for them” he muttered to himself as he got a hot cup of coffee from a nearby stand and put some jewel down while he waited. Sipping the hot substance he smiled as he thought about where he was now as far as how his life has been. While he was no longer in the darkness anymore he was not fully in the light and of Sol was honest with himself he was happy with that. The Deathless was balanced and in between light and dark and he honestly felt the most comfortable there. While he was dressed warmer also Sol had to admit that the fact that extreme cold and extreme heat didn’t effect him as much if at all was also a plus since he didnt have to worry about dehydrating or freezing to death even though the chances of that happening here in the council city was almost non existent. Still Sol couldn’t help but feel more cautious then usual here in Era considering it was the home of the ruin knights and while he had no reason to fear them he also respectfully was wary due to his own past as a dark mage to come back to bite him. The deathless knew that it could be very easy for someone with a grudge to strike against him just because he was now on the straight and narrow path.

at least the coffee on the street is good Era does seem to always make a good pot of coffee” he muttered to himself as he took another drink and kept waiting, so far he had seen no other members from the company but he had only just reached the city and there was still plenty of time in the day.

It had been a year now since the leader of the spiritual calling cast had been in Era for something other than business, then again his visit here a year ago was because he was to be the translator for Ruvel. He was so glad when that deaging curse came to an end, he understood everything that Ruvel was saying and could let people know what the youth had said. The problem was that he didn't know the language well enough to tell Ruvel what was being said by the people he was conversing with. He knew that was still something he needed to work on so it was on his ever growing todo list, right now all his time was going towards trying to find a solution to his young summoners blindness. Normally it wouldn't be a major thing an eye transplant could be done or magic could be used to fix the issues, problem with what was wrong with Ruvel was that his wounds were done by the weapon of a member of the spiritual calling cast. More than that the one who had done it was his equal given it was his twin sister Demiari who had betrayed their young summoner, he knew that this had taken a toll on the youth as for the longest time she ha been the closest person to him but had tried to kill him because she wanted to remain with the person she loved and the family she was raised with. As of yet he had been unable to find anything that could even bring his sight back on a temporary basis let a lone a permanant one and he was getting frustrated at his own failures even though he knew it would be a slim all be it nonexistant shot. The most frustrating part for the blue haired male was that he nore any of those who remained as summons now knew when he was sick unless Ruvel himself voiced it and that was beyond rare as he never wanted to worry anyone.

Still that was tomorrow's worry for Oykai, it was the Christmas season once more and he decided that he would go back to Era in the hopes of finding some more winter spice air freshener and perhaps incense. He paused abruptly in the street he was in and tilted his head as he thought something over, perhaps he should get some things for people who he had a connection to, his eyes going to the green gem he had hanging from his waist gleeming in the sunlight. It stood out like a sore thumb against the white drop of the snow below. "I wonder what Yona is up to, it's been a while." he said to himself as he was hit by a snowball turning around as he seen a few children laughing, picking up some snow he compressed it and throwing it back with a smile, the boy he aimed for took cover behind their snow wall but he was fine with that as he turned back and started to walking back down the road as he thought about what kind of gift she might like. "What to get? What to get?" he said as if deep in thought, he had never really bought anything for someone like Yona before, Samira was easy given how they had bonded over air freshener so things like that would be perfect to keep getting though he might go with a twist this year if he could get it made on time. For that he would need to find a skilled jeweller so thank goodness he was in one of the most expensive places in Fiore for that. Ruvel he could do nothing about his young summoners eyes but he knew how to lift his spirits, he would take him through the training of one of his cast as they didn't need their eyes to see the things around them. To be honest he was starting to wonder if in his shell shock training Sol actually knew how to do it, if not that was something that fell on him to teach 'Joyus.' he thought to himself as he rubbed his temples he really didn't feel like playing teacher to Sol.

As he walked through the streets he heard people singing christmas carols in the square, they were dressed in outfits from years long since past as if that brought addition to the christmas mood. He had no idea if it did, he had never celebrated this holiday and seen no reason to, he lived to long to care ultimatly so paid the living very little mind unless he was studying them. It did seem however to add to the celebration that little bit more so just continued on, his sence of smell was being assaulted by the smell of freshly baked gingerbread men and gingerbread houses that could be assembled and decorated by children. He was pretty sure that was likely going to be some sort of competition for the younger children but who knew at that point, he watched as a man walked down the street announcing there would be a christmas play while actors and dancers were handing out flyers as to where, when and the price of the tickets. Part of him wondered if that was something that Yona might enjoy, he knew Sato would and perhaps would take the nature loving flower child to see it for helping take care of Ruvel as well as he had. It would all depend on what the play was he guessed, before to long he was handed a flyer and read it "Thank you." he said calmly bowing a little "Jack and the beanstalk, seems like it would be right up his ally." he chuckled to himself and decided to head towards the ticket office to get himself, Yona and Sato tickets to the show that evening. The christmas garlands were strung between buildings and even around lamp posts, small lights seemed to be entwined within them and then their was the smell of hot chocolate and even fir trees. There just seemed to be so much going on in this city that he didn't really know if he was coming or going as he wanted to both leave the damned place but he wanted to see more, to study it and those who were taking part react to things. He shook his head this was not the time nor place for that he just wanted to get some presents and tickets to the panto that evening before leaving.

Oykai continued moving only to see another with the same complextion as himself, if they had white hair and close their eyes he was pretty sure they would have merged perfectly into the snow if they were naked he was pretty sure. He of course didn't want to do such a thing, in fact he actually wanted to avoid Sol completely but he knew that his cast could sense when another was around, especially when he was around given his connection to death themselves. With a heavy sigh he walked towards Sol and tilted his head "We are in the middle of a festival and you are still drinking that swill, get some hot chocolate you grump." he said just as he stopped in front of Sol, he was pretty sure that he wasn't to meet anyone there but stranger things had happened "Why are you here of all places? Don't you have somewhere to be seeing as you're an overpaid delivery boy?" he took a gentle jab at the other, it wasn't done in malice but as friendly banter with the other; now if he had been in his spiritual calling side that might have been a little different, then again if he was in his primary cast he would have likely just walked past Sol clipping him around the ear as he walked on without a word. "Are yo-" he was cut off as he heard something his eyes becoming stern as he knew something was off instantly, there were screams and people running around in a panic "Just great." he grumbled changing into his smaller self his book appearing in front of him "This city can't go one holiday without issue, aren't the rune knights based here." he grumbled a little as he believed that should have been a deterrent for anyone wanting to cause anyone in this place but nope, haters had to hate didn't they even in the season of giving. Well he guess they were giving... they were giving him a headache.

The book quickly opened and from it six pages seemed to come out floating around Oykai as he walked deeper into the city from when he just came. People were running towards where he had just came from and even running into houses, cafes, bakeries and any other building they could to keep safe from the menice that seemed to have 'dropped' by to disrupt the festivities. Oykai took a leisurly stroll towards the comotion and seen a giant monstrocity taring up the christmas tree in the center of the city square "Hay, I know it was a damned eyesore but there's no need for destroying the tree. It isn't its fault the people who decorated it have no taste." he scolded the muscle bound furball, well getting his attention worked as he put the tree down, well if by throwing at Oykai meant putting it down anyway. From the book four spirits seemed to spring fourth, one of an elderly gentleman, one of a battle hardened warrioress, one of a child looking no older than eight and a teenage girl. They didn't remain for long as they faded to make a three sided pyramid made out of spiritual energy dangling from the top there was a frosted ice blue crystal this meant that he was currently shielded and was being healed by the shield he had formed which was all fine and well for him. As the shield came up it had already been hit by the tree and before the blue haired male could react the shield was getting hit and he was sent backwards a few feet "Damn it's fast." he said running back towards it, the shield was hit once more but Oykai had dodged this time so the glancing blow didn't send him back like it had the first time. With how close he was to this thing he sent the pages forward and they hit their mark two pages stuck to it a smile came to his face as it would drain him of his vitality and spirit, of course more would have to be done and this was one of these beasts that had to be taken down quickly or it would kill. Around him now pages appeared, as he began to swing the pages started to fill with text of course this meant that the shield was destroyed rather quickly but that didn't bother the blue haired male that much, it was a small sacrifice for what was to come.

With the shield down he started to duck and dive with how he was moving it was almost as if he was ice scating dodging chunks of ice that where thrown at him. Picking up some fairy lights that had fallen he started tied part into a lasso and threw it at the giant beast, the first attempt failed and he was knocked back into a building, that was the last thing he needed. Getting back up and dashing forward quickly he ignoreed the pain and threw his lasso for a second time and this time he managed to get the loop around it. Once again dodging its attacks he moved around it finally wrapping up the thing, he knew it would keep it immobilized for only a minute or two but that's all he would need. Running into a store he picked up a can of winter wonderland air freshner and a candle before running towards the yeti. Pressing down on the button he released the air freshner towards the bound and thrashing yeti, as he did so he brought up the candle and soon its flesh and fur were in fire. It's horrendus screams of pain rang through the area as it tried to stop it but Oykai just kept it going until it fell by his feet a black, crispy husk of its former self. "It smells like burned pork and dog hair" he said his nose wrinkling as he sprayed some of the air freshner on it "gingerbread chocolate latte... not bad for a scent." he said reading the label finally deciding he should get a few cans to go wondering if Sol was around.

Yona Hisamori didn't usually spend time in Era, not since she had gotten in trouble here a few years ago. Back before she was with the guild, before she had ever considered even going to Tolgalen for that matter, she had been here seeking out information. Finding no help anywhere in Era had made her angry and her flaring temper and her desperation for survival had turned her into a thief. She picked many pockets, combed through many shops, and plucked edible goods from vendors without a second thought or care in the world for what might befall them in losing out on selling those goods. They never had caught her for those crimes but with her hair grown back out to her usual long length, the mage wasn't completely sure she would be safe from those who remembered her face and unique colored green hair.

Yona bundled up in her West Fiore Trading Company colors predominately. She wore black pants and tall knee high boots. She wore layers of thin shirts and a thick woolen grey sweater as well, but nobody would be able to see that with her thigh length white coat. It was fitted and professional, making her like stylish so that she was a good representative for the company. She wore a company pin proudly on her right shoulder as well. She needed both her finger-less gloves and knit winter cap for skirting around the edges of Era today, though their burnt orange color was a stark difference against the white attire and she would probably still stand out.

This time of year, rumors were abundant of holiday joys, miracles, and also holiday mischief. What better place to find something perhaps useful and meaningful to give as a gift to Oykai? He had to have just about anything he needed or wanted, so practical wasn't really going to work and she wouldn't bother trying for something in that direction. Instead, quality would be the goal of this particular gift. She touched the small necklace she wore, considering the kindness and thoughtfulness behind his gesture at a prior festival. They weren't able to be near each other all that often and she missed holding his hands, especially this time of year when they were so cold. Yona genuinely didn't want to choose a gift that would be unappealing or cliche, but of all the ideas in her head, she kept going back to finding him some soft and beautiful scarf and gloves. She liked the idea of her gift keeping him warm and bundled, liked the idea that every time the wind blew perhaps he might be reminded of her, and liked the idea that he could only wear one scarf at a time and in choosing her's it would feel like he was choosing her. It was a silly jealous little thought considering Oykai was too detached to easily form relationships with just any mortal on a whim. Ketsueki snickered at Yona inwardly but said nothing, noting that even thoughts of Oykai were enough to make him behave lest he appear by magic through her will and smite him.

Yona had already chosen something for Sato, something for Sol, something for Ada and Ruvel as well. They had all been challenging for their own reasons but Oykai was the most challenging, somehow making her doubt every time she thought she would confirm a purchase and return items even after exchanging the money. Today was hard and she had spent hours roaming the shops and feeling silly, petty, confident, elated, and then depressed and concerned. Was this how every woman handled their first real crush? The roller coaster of emotion was enough to make her understand why so many relationships failed! She stuffed her gloved hands into her pockets and set out of the main squares of Era for a break. A brief walk could clear her mind and she would return and have an easier time making choices.

The plant mage didn't like the cold much; she shivered as she stepped through the winds and into a side alley for a moment's recovery. "Why is it so much colder just a few streets away from the festivities?!" Yona complained aloud, looking out the alley towards the holiday decorations and lights that lined the path back to the ice skating rink and holiday shoppers. She pursed her lips and leaned against a the wall of the building. She closed her eyes and rubbed a hand through her hair. "Curse this dang cold and my indecisive mind. Maybe I should just go home," She bemoaned pitifully to herself. She hated the sound of her own pity and sighed as her body relaxed from the short respite of the cacophony and color down the street. "All right, just one more walk through. This time I'll buy something."

Yona lifted away from the wall and felt a scratching around her neck. She adjusted the scarf thinking nothing further and began on her way. Minutes later she was lit up with the glow of lanterns and joyous blinking strings of bulbs on building edges. She felt a pinching in her coat sleeve and turned her arm over. She rubbed her arm and felt the pinching again. A painful stab of cold on her arm made her grimace and the woman slapped at her arm, assuming something in there had stung her- a bug or beetle or something. It was in itself strange given her relationship with insects in general. The pain increased and she grit her teeth; nobody was looking her way as she bent over and stamped a foot, too distracted in their shopping, and only a few looked up when she started dancing around and waving her right arm again. "Son of a---" She cursed, swatting at her arm and whining out. It hurt really badly, like being stabbed, like frostbite. She cussed several more times and started undoing her coat. Now plenty of people were watching from afar, but nobody came close to investigate. "Stop stop!" She cried out. Ketsueki grinned maliciously, awaiting the second she stopped holding him back so that he could revel using her form as a tool of murder. Her arm went completely numb and she finally had danced her coat off.

Yona wasn't one to ask for help and seeing as she looked crazy, onlookers weren't quite sure if they should offer. Her green eyes turned into blue flames and she felt the sharpness of antler-like branches poking underneath her collar bone and into her scarf. She tried to focus on Ketsueki, but another stab came from her right arm and she just couldn't do both. She jerked off her sweater next, standing in the freezing air with only a tank top on but at last she had revealed the problem. Four small scorpions were skittering over her arm, a fifth falling to the ground with her grey sweater. Yona brushed them away with her left hand and stomped on them hard with her boots so they wouldn't go after any others. Her arm was stung pretty badly from what she could tell, spots of black and blue and grey. The mage was worried and annoyed with herself that she hadn't stopped it sooner.

The nails on her right hand were black and lengthy, sharpened into Ketsueki's claws. "If Oykai were here, you would be in so much trouble." "But he's not and you never let me have any fun..." Ketsueki laughed trying his strength harder, her claws growing more lengthy as the staring shoppers had grown into a small crowd, trapped between curiosity, concern and fear. "Get back now you slimy bastard. You're taking advantage of a bad situation. It isn't fair!" God, she needed to train for real with Oykai, she thought. "I'm a demon, Yona. What do you think it is that I do...?" Yona fell to her knees fighting the demon inside of her. With a surge of tangible power and a swirling of green light, her nails returned to normal when she was able to push him back. Yona huffed praying to any deity available that Oykai wouldn't find out about this and this time the threat and thought of the deathless had no affect on her demon.

Sol suddnely got the sense of someone else like himself here and he turned his head as he finished taking a drink to see Oykai approaching him and he bowed his head respectfullyj. Finishing his cup he heard the elder of the spiritual calling mention that he was still drinking coffee even during the holiday time to which the younger deathless sighed slightly before he tossed his cup behind him and it landed in the trash bin.” I drink it so much it’s a force of habit I guess though hot chocolate does sound rather good right now” he mentioned before he heard Oykais jab at him and called him an overpaid delivery boy which made the Slayer Chuckle a bit.”I decided to get some gifts and enjoy the festivities and I heard that a few people from the company would be here so I decided to wait a few  minutes to see if anyone showed up before I moved in and enjoyed myself” he explained before smiling a bit in amusement at being told he might need to be somewhere else.”I actually managed to have today off and everything is currently running smoothly in Myazhe so I figured a trip to the mainland might be good” he added . as  Oykai moved to ask him something before cutting off Sol caught the sound as well and just like Oykai his eyes narrowed and he silently turned and followed the other  as he shifted into his smaller self.

Sol heard him grumble about the fact that the rune knights are stationed here. “they are though it seems they  must be thinned out a bit here in era” he muttered as well before he sighed heavily.”Why is it every time I have a day off something wants to cause issue” he grumbled since it seemed like every time he went to an event or he had a day off something decided to wreck his rest and relaxation he was starting to wonder if the forces that be had it out for him for some odd reason. While Oykai seemed to encounter what appeared to be a Yeti causing havoc on the Christmas tree Sol suddenly caught sight of three ice elementals preparing to attack some of the civilians in the area and he rushed forward and his two blades emerged from shadow portals and he unsheathed both the wakizashi and the Katana before severing all three ice spears aimed to harm the group. Sol faced them and kept his swords down in a  relaxed yet ready stance.” It takes a real  group of cowards to attack unarmed people lets see how you fare against someone suited for combat” he commented as one of them rushed forward to try and impale him with the spear of ice in its hands. However as it got close Sol suddenly cut the ice with his katana like it wasent even solid and as the spear dropped to the ground Sol lashed out 3 times with his katana striking diagonally each time, the end result of this was the elemental dropped to the ground in frozen pieces as the remaining two looked on before lobbing another spear each at him to try and fell him.

Sol ducked under the first spear before he cut right thru the second one with his wakizashi and he then rushed forward yet again and this time he blew past them while bisecting both of them at the waist but the slayer wasent finished, he brought both his blades up and proceeded to sever them again vertically causing the elementals to fall into  four chunks of ice that shattered upon making contact with the  street. Sol sighed for a moment before he flicked his blades and prepared to sheath them before a giant snow fist suddenly smacked him and sent him skidding back a bit. The CEO glanced up to see the holder of that fist was a giant snow beast and he narrowed his eyes as he stood back up. His body ached from the strike but he didn’t have anything broken or badly bruised he was just annoyed even more now.”You got one shot in but you wont get another” he growled at the beast as he roared at him before rushing him to strike him again. Sol  just ducked under the strike and spun out of the way of another before slashing at the brutes back and then he ducked under yet another strike before the slayer would slam both of his blades into the brutes stomach before he would slash them both outwards and  cause the beast to fall apart and become harmless chunks of snow. As he finished Sol flicked his blades before sliding them into the sheathes behind him in the shadow portals and he sighed and dusted himself off. “I wasent intent on getting coated in snow today” he grumbled before he approached Oykai and noticed the burnt and damaged husk of a yeti. Thankfully he didn’t smell any lingering burnt smell and he glanced at the elder of his cast. “Gingerbread and  chocolate?  Hmm not a bad combination at least its better then smelling this overdone  thing” he said simply gesturing to the burnt Yeti corpse and he blinked before hearing someone cussing and then stomping before he turned his head to be surprised by the appearance of Yona and she seemed to be in quite a state considering her coat was off and she was in a tank top before he decided to head over and talk to her.”Looks like Yona is here for the festival as well” he commented.  As he got closer he smiled and waved in greeting.” Hey Yona good to see you though you look as if something has got you flust” he cut himself off as he saw her arm and he gently would take it and look at the splotches of color before his eyes  narrowed.”Looks like Ice scorpions nasty little buggers not much as far as venom goes but their stings can cause wicked frost bite one second” he said as he reached into a shadow portal for a moment before pulling out a small ampoule of red liquid. “here drink this and It will not only heat your body up but it will negate the effects of the stings” he said as he offered her the container.

Oykai looked at the younger of the spiritual calling cast and sighed shaking his head at the reason behind why he grabbed a coffee "I still don't understand how you can drink that stuff, it tastes like ash to me." he said to the other, to be honest he didn't eat or drink anything other than his own races food. The taste was only part of it, the main part was that it would make him sick. To be honest he was pretty sure if it hadn't been for the fact Demi had been raised on the stuff it would be pure poison to him. "You know eventually that stuff will make you sick right Sol, our kind don't eat things outside our own race and if we do it is only once in a while." he notified the other before tilting his head as something actually dawned on him "Have you actually tried any of your racial foods yet Sol?" he knew this was something that he would eventually have to fix, he might actually enjoy it more than the stuff he was eating and drinking at the moment. "You sure you aren't a glutton Sol?" He rolled his eyes for a moment "Nevermind, forgot who I was talking to." he said with a bit of frustration, he knew what was lurking within Sol even if he himself didn't and it was something he wasn't about to tell him, that was something that he would learn on his own soon enough he was sure. "Perhaps in a bit we can get some or I can get one of my servants to make our version of it." he said with a shrug looking around as he was wondering what exactly he should get for gifts, it wasn't like their race celebrated this backwards celebration or at least to him it was anyway.

"This is my second time in Era, my first time was last christmas when you were all under the deaging curse. We met the wizard saint Samira for the first time, it was also the first time I was introduced to air fresheners." he said recalling last years 'entertainment' and 'festivities'. "Ruvel was wanting to do some christmas shopping and get a gift for Arcadia, yeah we all know how that turned out." he said with a frustrated tone shaking his head. He had wanted it to have been an easy and smooth day since he was playing translator but nope as always something came along and messed up that idea well and truly. He remembered when he met the other summoners summons and really hoped that Ruvel didn't have that same issue with them. Who was he kidding, he knew they could be far worse and gave Ruvel the grandfather of all headaches at the best of time as they bickered and argued, it was just that they tended to watch themselves or be corralled by the stronger summons to behave or their would be consequences. He remembered telling the spirit summons that Ruvel was his and the other summons charge and that he didn't like them stepping on their toes, that they would deal with his care. In honesty he could understand why Samira and her summons would think that Ruvel was a lost child given how he looked and the fact that he didn't give off a magical signature like most mages did but that was due to the fact that the youth didn't actually use magic in any way, shape or form and what he did use was never actually known by anyone but the summons themselves and none of them were talking about it. That being said with who Sol was and what he use to to there was a good chance he knew exactly what Ruvel used, he was still going to have to be there when that conversation between his cousins and Sol happened just in case they decided to kill him which there was in fact a high chance of happening because his cousins were far from happy with the man. This of course was due to the fact they were severely over protective of their young summoner, with how much the youth had went through in his short life he couldn't blame them in the slightest as he himself was the exact same way.

As he ran off he heard Sol's words and looked back nodding "Makes sense given the time of year it is, more so after what happened last year." he called back as he ran done the street to take care of the overgrown fur ball that was a yeti, after the quick fight he had to wonder exactly what would have caused something that should be in a place like the Silent Glaciers to be here in Era. The second question being how something like that actually got into the city in the first place, more so since this was a well fortified city not a small backwards town, this was something that would need some investigating so hopefully it could be avoided in the future; if they could document the cause and hand it into the Rune Knights they might possibly be able to put in safety measures to prevent such a thing happening in the future. The blue haired male also knew that if they did that it wouldn't be fool proof as their would still be some sort of flaw somewhere but that would be the Rune Knights problem not his at the end of the day. It only became his problem if Ruvel was here at the time of an attack because he was obligated to help his summoner remain alive, he was one of the very few summons that didn't actually care if the rest of the city burned and everyone else was dead so longs Ruvel survived. That thought actually sickened him now he thought of it his soul filled eyes looking down to the forest green emerald like gem dangling from his waist, he wouldn't want her dead either but as he was the only one who was able to claim her a cockroach was more likely to die in a neuclear explosion than she was so that put his mind at ease some.

Oykai looked back hearing Sol and smiled "Well that burnt thing even without the air freshener still smells better than you." he said walking past the taller man his voice void of emotion as he was currently in the form that dealt with the duties of his main cast. He looked at Yona after her presence was announced taking her arm looking everything over carefully "Their venom is far worse than you give it credit for you cretin." he huffed putting her arm over the still smoldering corpse of the yeti "It causes frostbite to where the sting hits, however, the venom travels freezing everything along the way and she is beyond lucky those are babies. That being said where their are babies their are parents and given there were only five babies there, I would keep your eyes out just in case their are more of them and their parents." he warned helping Yona keep her arm warm while she drank what Sol gave her and it took effect. "Ketsueki you termite infested leech, I heard what you said to her earlier. It echo's through your spirit like we are in a cave." he said his eyes glancing towards Yona from the side but it wasn't like he was looking at Yona but through her to something else. "Do I really need to give you reeducations so soon after our last meeting or are you going to apologise to her?" he said coldly allowing the vampiric tree demon to choose his own path "After you make your decision I strongly advise you slither back into your cage willingly or I will force you into it and I will seal it closed til the end of time, feel free to try call my bluff if you like. It worked so well for you the last time didn't it." his voice hadn't changed in tone, it was clear he was in no mood for the demon's games and would willingly use him as demonic firewood.

The plant mage took a deep breath and then coughed hard. She bent over and touched her chest, her whole body beginning to hurt. It was like her lungs were frozen up, as if she had taken a too-deep breath during the worst part of a blizzard. Her arm felt strangely removed, simultaneously throbbing with pain yet seeming to be separate from her entire body. Staring at her arm with gritted teeth, it was as if she was looking at the arm of a dead lady, and not her own. Her whole body trembled as she tried to mentally sort it out, her eyes lifting to seek out warmth. There were ice sculptures, an ice rink, and children throwing snow balls. The warmest thing in view was a table of small cups of tasting hot chocolates. She would have dashed forward into the table and dumped them all over on her arm, but the sound of Sol's voice gave her pause and brought her back to more rational thinking. "They must have gotten into my coat in the alley I stopped in."

She pursed her lips as Sol drew out the little ampule and almost made a comment about the frostbite before Oykai approached her. She would have blushed if she weren't already shivering from the cold. He led her towards the dead yeti that she hadn't even noticed before and extended her arm over the smoldering body. The warmth was as a distant touch for a moment and she frowned, "I didn't see any large ones in the alley I was in, maybe we got lucky this time with only young scorps. And uh, I tried Oykai, I mean.. I didn't mean to almost you know..." Yona looked back at where she had come from, towards the passersby still whispering a little before shifting back into some semblance of normal civilian behavior. She had a feeling he had seen her eyes and claws before they had receded and it was proof in public that her own will wasn't strong enough to hold back her demon. She didn't like looking weak in front of him before he had even gotten the chance to teach or train her. She drank down the ampule and pocketed the small glass vial afterwards, listening while Oykai addressed Ketsueki.

"Thanks, Sol," Yona said to him before looking back towards the ice rink and cocoa stands. Part of her wanted to go skate and hold Oykai's hand, since he was here anyway; a larger part of her was presently observing Ketsueki's reply. The demon shifted uncomfortably and Yona's lips drew back in a snarl as he spoke aloud to Oykai, "I don't have any termites. I am no leech. You should know the power there is in life's blood, in fact maybe you should have a drink of the darkness sometime." After a pause his snarl turned to a playful sound, "Heh, I'm not going to slither away and let you think I'm afraid of someone like you. But! I can sense Yona's romantic desires and I don't want to be around for that. Disgusting~ The things she wants to do.."

Yona clenched her hands and her body warmed up. Being able to close her hands so tightly showed that thanks to the two with her the venom was nullified thankfully. A blush even formed on her cheeks, "Awful demon. Don't spread such lies! Holding hands is not a disgusting thought!" The demon laughed, feeling like he kept his dignity and humiliated the plant mage. "Adieu, then~," he uttered, and had he control of Yona's eyes surely he would have winked. He slunked back into the depths of Yona's mind leaving her standing there next to Sol and Oykai embarrassed. "Oh, did I thank you Sol? The vial worked very well." She couldn't remember if she had thanked him but as she turned about looking for her coat, Yona only wanted to change the subject and save herself.

As the elder of the spiritual calling sighed and shook his head wondering why Sol drank such stuff since it tasted like ash to him Sol could only shrug.”Most likely its because I was originally human before becoming deathless so my taste for human food is still intact right now but your right eventually it will most likely wear off and ill be unable to eat and drink such things” he said. When oykai asked if he had even tried any of the foods of the race he now was Sol blinked for a moment before shaking his head a bit. “I haven’t really had the chance yet though I do want to try it soon and im sure im not a glutton I do like good food and drink but I know the dangers of overdoing it” he explained. As the elder explained when ruvel was here before with him when they were deaged and then mentioning that the rune knights being thinned a bit made sense given the time of year Sol could only sigh again and nod.”Honestly they should have prepped better” he muttered before they went and dealt with their respective enemies.

As Sol came over Oykai mentioned that the burnt yeti still smelt better then him without the air freashener and Sol smiled a bit before speaking again.”ow you know words can hurt” he said but his tone was playful showing he didn’t take it personally. However when he was tending to Yona Oykai then jabbed him on his description of the scorpions venom and he felt his eyebrow twitching slightly.”Im aware of how potent their venom is like you said though these are babies and not only that calling me a cretin is honestly uncalled for” he stated.”The important thing is that she has been given a antidote for said venom and her bodys not going to get any serious damage from the frost bite” he added before hearing yona thank him for the antidote and he nodded.”its no problem Yona you should be fine now though if you have any issues with those spots that were frost bitten let me know and I can give you something to help” he said as he offered her coat to her. After that Sol was approached by two younger men in their twenties.”Excuse me can we get you to join the snowball fight we need one more person to get the game started?” one asked before Sol thought for a moment and nodded.

why not I might as well should be entertaining be back in a moment” he stated to the other two as he followed the two over to the arena where the fight was taking place before someone came up and passed him the gun used for the snowball war as well as three heat grenades for later.” Alright time to see how good these guys are” he said as he tested the gun while waiting by firing at the ground. After a moment a whistle was blown and sol reacted instantly and brought his gun up firing three snowballs in rapid succession at three men in front of him before diving behind a wall and narrowly avoiding another shot.”Three down twelve left” he said keeping tally. Turning to move he suddenly heard the snow behind him crunch down and he suddenly shot and hit the kid in the solar plexus on reflex with a snowball. “make that four” he said before he suddenly saw a enchanted snoman rushing him and he quickly threw a heat grenade at the things feet before it went off and vaporized the snowman.

Sol quickly moved from barrier to snow barrier and along the way he saw 5 people get knocked out by the other players and that left three to deal with. Hearing a sound suddenly behind him and in front of him the slayer was quickly able to judge the sound behind him was heavier so was most likely a snowman and he tossed a grenade behind him before he aimed forward and as the kid ducked his head to look out Sol took a precise shot with a snowball and beaned the kid in the forehead doing no harm but knocking him out of the running.looking up from his spot Sol quickly ducked down after a shot wizzed past his ear and he then heard the sound of a heat grenade going off and he smirked before popping up and eliminating the last two in the contest. “the clear winner” the announcer said as Sol Smiled and handed the man back his gun before going to find Oykai and Yona.

Post by Oykai 2nd January 2020, 2:19 am

Oykai dismissed Sol's infernal ramblings for the moment his full concentration on Yona and making sure she was fine, he knew that she wouldn't die due to him holding her contract but still this seemed to concern him quite a bit and he had no idea as to why. It was unlike him especially in the form her was currently in but that was something he would have to address when he got back home, for now there was more at stake than his stupid worries about why he was feeling such things. Oykai looked to Yona for a moment and placed a finger over her lips to quiet her "This is my failure not yours little Yona girl, I said I would teach you and have yet been able to do so. Do not blame yourself for my incompetence." he said honestly, he felt foolish that he hadn't have the time to help her of yet but between his job as the head of his cast, the fact he was classed as a crowned prince in his own right brought its own responsibilities, issues and headaches, then there was also the fact he was still trying to find a way to reverse the damage done to Ruvel's eyes and failing miserably. When not doing that he was having to play guide occasionally for his young summoner and then there was the fact he was a mentor to two mentees, one of them he liked better than the other because he was dead. He did try to make effort to see her such as the autumn festival and even the misadventure that had lead them to the pumpkin patch when he wanted to take her out on a date that had somehow ended up as a job. Everything right now was irritating him because it felt as if he didn't know if he was coming or going but would try his best to keep going forward but it was clear he really needed to make more time for Yona and would do so.

Hearing Ketsueki's voice instantly put the irritated Deathless into overdrive as was seen when his eyes flashed indigo only to change to black before returning back to their soul infused blood ruby selves. "I suggest you don't mess with my temper leech because I will happily let my darkness out to play, believe me, you won't like it." he said his every word dripping with cold death filled venom. "Now behave yourself or I'll release a celestian woodpecker in there to be your roommate for a while." he threatened his tone not changing even slightly, the vampiric demon tree had already seen once that Oykai followed through with anything that he threatened and it had hurt the demon "Also given who I am connected to, I can use divine light and would have no issue using it on you." he warned knowing the balance was always on an unsteady table that could shift at any point if it wasn't for people like his cast. "You are slithering away you snake, you are just trying to guise it as something else you slimy toad." he almost hissed but kept his calm as he sighed "Besides, the little Yona girl wears her emotions on her sleeve, even my summoner in his current condition could see that blush." he said with a small smile teasing the woman and going silent as the demon vanished, likely before it could get hurt by him for a second time. The vampiric demon tree really did remind him why he hated the living for more than one reason, he sincerely couldn't wait until his time was up because he would make sure it was the most slow and agonising way to pass imaginable just for annoying him each and every time they had crossed paths. "Seems we will have to really start your training to get him under control and quickly before I snuff him out of existence" he warned the plant mage.

It was then he looked around realising that Sol had seemingly wandered off while he was dealing with Yona and the god forsaken demon that had attached itself like a leech to the one he himself was protecting. He had to give him something though he knew how to pick the person that would most likely ensure his safety. 'That smart sneaky bastard.' was all the blue haired male could think as he tried to work out where Sol had wandered off too. Taking Yona's hand he started to move away from the area incase angry parents of the now dead baby scorpions that Yona had killed by stepping on them decided to turn up. Wasn't their problem if they weren't in the area as far as he was concerned and headed further into the city were there seemed to be some sort of competition going on when it came to hot chocolate. He wasn't lying when he said consuming to much mortal food was a bad thing for his kind to do, but it was only a few samples so he knew he would be fine. "Let's do some hot chocolate tasting Yona." he suggested pointing to the table, if nothing else he knew it would warm her up some. Heading to the table he watched as four small cups on a tray was put in front of him with the instructions of how he just had to put the rubber ball in the flavour he preferred into a box that sat on the table. The first had a red ball next to it picking it up he tasted it, to him it didn't taste like anything but ash but then most mortal food did so this wasn't going to be any good for him, he had smelt peppermint however so maybe that would be the best way for him to vote. The second was white and smelled of cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves like his favourite air freshener and had a yellow ball next to it. The third smelt like a gingerbread man and had a green ball and the fourth smelt like turkish delight with a subtle hint of cinnamon and had a purple ball next to it, he was reminded that he needed to 'taste' the hot chocolates to get his token and did so without argument. They all tasted like different kinds of ash to him but he decided to use the yellow ball and put it in the box. "Have you decided yours Yona?" he asked unsure if her chocolate flavours were the same as his.
