Ayeseru woke up with a loud moan. It was extremely early, yet he had no choice but to wake up. His train had at long last reached its destination - Hargeon Town. It was the middle of the night, or early morning, Ayeseru was unsure at this point.
Normally, he would go to sleep at 12 AM on a Sunday night, however, an urgent request had just reached the Sabertooth guild; seeing as everyone else was asleep, Ayeseru had no choice but to take the job.
It was rather important, even Ayeseru had to admit that much, though he still wondered why he was doing it.
I'm going to assume that this is what it feels like to have a large boot shoved up your butt... Ayeseru was clearly upset over having to miss his nights sleep, though putting a stop to a riot is more important.
Specifically, a rumble in the docks.
In the urgent message, it said that a shipment of lacrima was to be delivered to a group of mages, and they did not arrive. The mages are not happy, and well, the merchants were not happy to have their paychecks not delivered, so they decided to take a rumble.
Ayeseru groaned further as he got off the train an onto Hargeon.
Supposedly, another mage was to battle along side with Ayeseru, though no mage was in clear sight.
Eh, whatever, I suppose I'll just stop this myself, then...
He took a moment to feel the fresh, but cold summer morning breeze flow past him, then to follow the loud noises of pain and battle.
Apart from the loud noises of mages fighting, merchants stabbing, people dying and screaming, it was a pleasant walk. The sun was just about rising, everything was lightly lit, it would be a perfect time for a walk.
He sighed at the thought of not being able to do so.
"I suppose it can't be helped."
Moments later, he came across a group of people, pushed through them, and met some of the Rune Knights. He said no words, simply showed him his Sabertooth insignia and he was let through.
He took a moment to gaze across the battlefield - a messy business indeed. What puzzled him even further was why the Rune Knights weren't helping.
Doesn't matter. I'll give that partner of mine a few more minutes to show up.
