Book 2 Chapter 2: Dark Nemesis

The day was young as Ghost looked on at the sky. The new markings on his body have put him in a glorious state. Now a B rank wizard he has become something so that many have become yet. Even more, have fallen to move on from this very notion of rank. But Ghost was different he accepted the new path that was put in front of him. This new mission was odd to him. A mermaid had come to him in need of help. Turns out a mage had gone rogue with his experiments. Ghost was put to the task of defeating such a person. Looking down at the rouge mage or scientist whichever he is at the moment.

Ghost would smile as he stood atop a large house in soul bar. Ghost was reading the databook the mermaid lady happened to have taken from this guy lab. It seems as if he is trying to create some kind of monster. But to go to such an extreme is just like a scientist at large. This has gotten rather crazy in its own right, Ghost would think as he jumped down off of the house. Walking around Ghost would think this was an odd looking bar to be at. So many bad things were happening all at once. However, the reason he was here was to get info on a certain mage at large. He thought he would test his luck by asking around for more information. After all, someone here has to know something about something.

Ghost would smile as he started to ask one person after the other. He looked around in and out of the bar yet nothing nobody not one person had given him anything useful in the slightes.

Ghost would smile as he walked out of the bar more or else. He was quite happy because being around such foul people was just sad. However little did he know he was being watched. Being watched by a young woman. She kept her eyes on him the whole time he was in the bar. She was curious about why he was looking for the mage in question she was wearing a completely dark cloak and it barely showed her face. On top of that, she had a giant fan on her back. Clearly, she was not a fan of Ghost, not one bit. She would watch him as he left out only to follow him. Looking from afar she would watch as he asks people about her master.

Ghost was getting a little bit mad as most could not tell him what he wanted to know. With a smiling grin on her face, she would slowly but surely walk up to him. As Ghost would turn to her she would simply state."I could help you with what you looking for wizard." Ghost looked on as he smiled at her quickly he would look her up and down. She appeared to look strange to him. But help is the help he would think on that note to himself. "Really you would thanks a lot." Ghost looked on at her with such a kind-hearted smile from such a kind-hearted person. She looked at him as her eyes were like that of snakes eyes. "No problem just follow me and by the way, I'm Issa nice to meet you." Ghost smiled at her as he waved his hand in a peace sign like motion. "I'm Ghost a Fairy Tail wizard nice to me you."

Ghost looks on at her as she was about to walk away but before that could happen. He would stop her with a question of his very own. "Excuse me but just why in the world have you chosen to help me? When I was asking around for about three hours. You could have just cane way back when."Issa would look at him only to laugh simply smiled at him. "Because it was funny me Fairy Tail wizard. Now then follow me the man you are after is named Jovan Rattlesnake. He is the evilest man and I shall help you put an end to his thing he calls Justice."/Ghost looked on at her as his eyes widen.

Just who could this girl be? Is she a friend or is she a for? Could it be that she was sent here on the same mission as he was? So many questions went in and out of his head. But one thing was for sure the duo had one goal in mind and that was to get to this wizard known as Jovan Rattlesnake. This was all too good for Ghost as the two started walking. At least three more hours would pass as they made it to a row of houses. It was now five a.m in the morning. The walk could have been shorter but Ghost was getting the feeling she was toying with him. This was the fact that they passed the same yellow toad about ten times.

On top of that, the buildings look like the same form before. It was clear to Ghost now this girl Issa must be using illusion magic. But just why on earth is she doing it to him. It was clear now she was the one kidnapping people. Well now that mysterious crime has been solved.

Now that Ghost had figure out this little game of hers. He began to notice something else. He was not using any magic. Yet his magic was draining slowly but surely. This could only mean one thing and that is that she is using a secondary spell. Now things were getting interesting. But the key to this trick was to not let her know that he knows. This was what he was thinking at this very moment. The game was of cat and mouse and by the looks of it. She was not far off from him in terms of power. Yet it also feels as if he could win it. With the right plays, he could end this real fast.

Walking and talking with her he would ask her questions about the area. She would explain to him about its history or what not. But then Ghost looked on as she pulled out her giant fan. Curiously thinking what it was she was about to do. Issa looked at Ghost as she smiled Ghost was ready for anyone who might try him. But she would then give a soft smile as she pointed towards a house. The house stood two stories wide. As he looked on as would point to the house. "I see so this is how the house looks in question ms. Issa. This should be interesting as can be." She simply grinned at him.

"I will show you the in, 's and out's of this house understand me? After that, I will kill you as it is my job. But now is your chance to leave and I will turn a blind eye." Ghost would give a playful laugh as he looks at her."I will take my chances."Her eyes would glow green after he said such a thing.

Issa's eyes were all but wicked to Ghost. Clearly, he wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt. But records did show. This evil wizard he was tracking did have a student or something like that. But Ghost did not care for any of that. This young wizard here could be a victim of this man mind game. After all, this world was all about who has the power. Ghost would smile as he started to think of a way to break this girl spell. Sure she was mild at best. But it did start to take its effect on him. Ghost would look on as the stare down would start. As he looked at her she would return every look back at him.

Ghost would start to move his hands in a prayer-like motion. As he started to smile she would bend down as if she was about to run. Ghost looked on thinking of what spell to use against her. "You truly think I'm just going to take you to my master hideout do you? But wait maybe you were thinking such a thing. Let's put that thinking of yours to an in shall we." Ghost looked on as he prepares himself for her attacks. Looking on she would grow claws and wings and top it all off with demon horns. Ghost eyes would widen as fangs were showing from her mouth. Things just got a whole lot interesting, to say the least.

She leaped at Ghost with full speed. Her pouncing was so deadly it broke the very ground she jumped from. Ghost liked on as she started to jump from house to house. He would look up to see she was gaining speed. Each time she jumped up in the air her wicked smile would say it all. Ghost looked on at her and started to move his hands in his monk motion. Soon she would come at him. However, Ghost was well prepared as. He looked on at her he quickly would slash at her using his hands. Quickly she gotten knocked down by his attack. Fallen onto the ground she quickly got up. Ghost would smile at this very thing. Something was off to him.

Something was way off but he just could not put his mind on it. Issa looked at him from far in the sky wonder what he was thinking. But one thing for certain he was not scared of her. "This man really thinks of me as a joke huh? Well then Looks like I will have to turn up the fear factor."Looking on she would lunch down at Ghost. Quickly she swooped down on him yet it was in vain. As she tried to push Ghost he would only catch her first. The impact was weak as he would smile. He would take her then lunch her right down onto the ground. "I see you must not have realized this by now. But I'm well aware of your magic. That is not take over magic but illusion. Your done off to jail you will go." She would look at him with a little bit of blood.


She was clearly defeated as Ghost started to walk off she would slowly get up with his back turned to her. "Now to break this spell of hers. She can't it on such a level what power."

Clearly, Issa was not known for her smarts. As she stood up wounded and defeated yet she remains unbroken. This put a smile on his face. She would slowly walk up to Ghost as looked on at her the rage in her eyes were somewhat of a full statement and that statement was. She was willing to die for her master. Clearly, this alone is a feat not many would do as they are too afraid to do such a thing. But still, a tear nearly fell from his face. This tear that was about to fall was not from him. Was not just about her in no way what's so ever. This tear that now fell from his eye was for all the people that dark wizard. Turned into his puppets.

Ghost balled his face up as he could care less at how this will turn out. Time on its own would stop moving as if Issa did not know what was up. Walking towards the girl he could do nothing but smile at her. Holding out his hand Ghost would lunch at the girl. Striking her in one blow so much so one would think it was multiple hits. But indeed it was Ghost signature attack. An attack that was more than able to finish the job.

Lucky for her Ghost was not a killing kind of wizard. But as she fell to the ground he would do nothing but smile at her. "Take a break Issa and rest easy."

Issa fell to the ground as she was out cold. Ghost would look at her as the spell was disarming itself. Ghost would look up to see that the house he was looking for was in his face the entire time. Smiling as he knew damn well what he had to do. Looking on Ghost started to make his way to the house. Stepping on the front lawn he had no time to waste. Every second counted for what was going on. Such a sick man to be doing what he was doing. Ghost took down his fair share of big bad guys. But this one took the cake indeed. He was doing projects on living people of all things.

How inhuman could a person get? The anger in Ghost should build up as he started to walk towards the door. Using his eyes of time he had an idea of where to go to find this guy. Balling up his first he would break down this guy front door. "Knock Knock you low life. The time is up I am here to arrest you got that. You could hide all you want but don't be surprised when I come blasting at wherever you at." Ghost looked around yet he could not find anything. That was odd then again it was a house. Which meant the lab would have to be under the house itself. Ghost would smile as he was preparing to break the ground he was standing on.

However, he started to hear someone clapping from behind him. Turning around he would see a man in a dark robe. With the clock covering his entire face.  Ghost looked on as Deshawn The Cruel started to laugh at him. "So you come for me have you?"

Ghost would give a smile as now was the time to fight. This man is wanted for more crimes than some. So taking him in is a must. A defeat here will not do. Ghost looked on as he put his hand in a prayer-like motion. Smiling at Deshawn as light and dark magic started to come around him. Deshawn saw this and quickly stomped the ground as the house started to shake. Ghost still did not move as he held his position up. Deshawn magic was known to turn things to life. This was weird magic to have indeed. But Ghost was prepared to attack at any given time. As he waited for the right time to attack.

Ghost was well aware of living magic. He knows all of it's up and down and the thing about it was. That for everything the user brings to life. They will usher in the very life of their souls. Ghost knows this from his time eyes. Seeing as Deshawn was stronger than him the best thing he could do is a counter-attack to the things he sends at him. But just like that, the house was now alive. Deshawn himself wasn't the one to take too much pain. But he could ditch it out to his victims. Ghost would smile as chairs began to come at him. Quickly he would knock them away. Using his Stave breaking them. Deshawn would feel this in his chest as he stumbles back. Ghost would look up to see this and gave a smile.

Realizing Deshawn feel his life work pain as well. This could work in his favor. Ghost began to laugh as he punches a hole in the wall. Seeing this Deshawn would yell in pain. But soon enough he would jump at Ghost kicking him back. Ghost would smile as he held himself together from the kick. With a smile on his face, he would quickly put his hands out at Deshawn. Who by now have cast more of his living magic spell? Quickly more things would come to life. Ghost looked on as he summons black hole. Quickly it starts to devour everything in sight. "Damn it all this is the power of a Rising Star. This can't end well for me. How could he know all about my life magic simply by looking at it?

The black hole was indeed a problem for Deshawn. As it ripped apart his home he truly had no way to stop it. Soon Ghost would release the black hole out of pity. He looked on at him smiling. Thinking to himself that this fight was truly over. Deshawn looked on at him and gave a very big grin. He would punch the ground as it caved in on them. Ghost and Deshawn both would land on their feet. As Ghost looked around he would see they have landed in Deshawn laboratory. It was a mild and foul looking place. It was as one could truly feel the pain of all the victim's here. A tear would come down Ghost face.

He could not help but cry a sorrow cry. It was so sad how these folks were lives we're toyed with. Ghost sadness soon became anger as he looks d towards Deshawn. Filled with rage so many dark thoughts came to his mind inside his head. It was too much for one to hold on to. This is what dark wizards do for fun. How sick how gross how inhuman these beings are. Ghost looked on as he thought he needed to save these dying people. It looked as if DeShawn was slicing DNA of humans with a beast of all kinds. Deshawn would slowly get up as Ghost smiled. "Fear not people I am here to save you all. As of right now, you all are safe from harm." Ghost looked on as the people started to look up at him.

Deshawn grabbed a needle filled with a beast DNA. "Fear me you shall Ghost fear to live how you so want. You should do as well because of right now. I will inject you with the curse of the beast." Soon he would use his magic to cause the needle to come to life. The needle than would move toward Ghost. Easily sneaking up on him the needle would inject him with the DNA synchronization. Hitting Ghost right in the neck. As he knocked the needle down. With rage still in him. He would rush over to give Deshawn one final punch. This hit would live the wizard unconscious for a way. His own magic let him down. That is why some people should never try to use it.

Ghost looked around as he saw the people still in their cells. This was too sad of a thing to witness. He looked around to see if he could find a switch or something but nothing came up. This was bad because most of them were in need of a doctor at this very moment. Ghost would start to think and that's when he used his time clones. With more of him, a lot more ground could get covered. He won't be wasting any more time than he already had wasted. Ghost would walk into the next room and to his shock. He would see what Deshawn been working on. It was some sort of hybrids of human and best of all kinds.

This was indeed bad but it was a good thing he was there. But the question was what to do with all of this. Should he turn it over to the Rune Knights or take this data back to fairy tail? It was a hard decision to make. But Ghost was Ghost to make it. "It is best I keep Fairy Tail looking good. So I will turn this into the Rune Knights. This will be their problem and not ours." Ghost began to feel kinda drained as he would hold his head. His vision was nearly faded as he stood up. No doubt the beast DNA he was hit with was trying to take its effect. Ghost was looking a bit scared but still, he stayed brave as he needed to. Ghost looked on as the Rune nights started to come. As Ghost freed everyone he looked around at Deshawn.

As the Rune Knight came Ghost would show them the lab. He would start to explain what went down. Ghost looked on as they took it from there. He was sure to tell them about Issa playing a part in it as well. Ghost was looking on as he would leave the area. Making his way back to his guild. Looking in the mirror Ghost would start to get dizzy. Thinking back to what Deshawn profile was. He mixed DNA together but did he hit Ghost with one? If so when did he do such a thing? Ghost was trying hard to think on it. But he was starting to get too sleepy. He would return to his room and lay on the bed. Before he closed his eyes. They would turn leaf green.
