Odhran sat atop his perch in a tree as the merchants passed by the road. There was a group of people that had the flag of Elysium plastered all over them as they did these actions, claiming themselves to be members of Odhran's new guild. That was simply unacceptable. These mere maggots were not fit, not worthy call themselves as guildmates of Odhran. Such cowards deserved a righteous wrath, and Odhran was ready, fit, and able to do so. Almost as if on cue, the would-be bandits leaped out in front of the group of merchants. The merchant guard was annihilated in an instant, and most of the merchants themselves fell with their guard. Only a single merchant remained.
"Now, go out and tell everyone that Elysium's here to create a new world. Consider these funds a tax for our new world order."
Odhran could no longer take it, leaping down from his tree to land on the ground a fair distance away. He scampered over to the group of bandits, who all stared at him in confusion as he made the two-minute long jog.
"I see you bear the flag of Elysium, you scoundrels!"
Their leader scoffed. "You already know about us? I'm impressed. Looks like we got a wannabe hero in our midst! What do you want, you goody-two-shoes?"
Odhran laughed at their ignorance. "I do not call you scoundrels out of a sense of your criminality. Rather, I do not believe you are a part of our illustrious guild. You dare to bear the sigil of Elysium without a hint of remorse despite your lies and your heresy? Do you not know who you stand among? I am Odhran Aegisbane, the God of the Celestial Spirit Realm! I am one of Elysium's backbones, one of those whom has seen the message of our glorious guild and wishes to brings its glory to all! You are little more than maggots to whom our new world has little place for! I command you to bow your knees in reverence to my wondrous power! You are unfit to stand in the presence of a God, let alone defile the visage of his allies, his comrades, his family of fellows! No, I lie. You are not to kneel. You are merely fit for my judgment. You are a disgrace to the very earth I walk upon now, and you disgrace what we strive for! Now! Feel the wrath of a God!"
The group of five rushed towards him, save for their leader who fired off wind magic towards the true member of Elysium. Odhran raised his hand, and the wind brushed past him. The four melee users came upon him, but once more Odhran responded with a raised hand and three keys. He swung them down, and each of the strikes was met by a different Spirit. Arnaluuk's trident had blocked the axe-user, Lupa's paw had stopped the daggers of the young man, and Scorpio's spear had caught the warhammer of the large man and his hand had caught the fist of the girl. Despite Odhran's proclamation of his status, the group all looked surprised to see Celestial Spirits. Odhran nodded to his Spirits, giving them the order to slay whatever foes they wished as Odhran himself menacingly walked towards the magic user.
Scorpio, who had opted to come into the fight in his male form, smiled at the opportunity. He shoved aside the warhammer user before delivering a kick to the gut of the girl. He had always hated hitting women, but it was what the boss had ordered, so that is what Scorpio was to do. Because of the crushing grip on the girl's hand, she was unable to be moved out of the range of the continuous strikes of the Zodiac, who continued pummeling on her with a combination of kicks and finishing with a hit with the hilt of his spear, where he finally let go of her hand. "Sorry, baby, but you made the mistake of being fake and lying. Sorry 'bout having to beat you up a bunch. I hope that I get to let you live." Scorpio winked at the girl, who was unable to reciprocate due to her state of unconsciousness. Still, he focused his efforts on the warhammer-wielding giant. He swirled his spear, the tip brushing aside the hem of his cape as it fluttered in the cold wind. The giant man dashed at Scorpio, who easily sidestepped out of the way the same way that a matador would dodge a bull. The swing of his hammer smashed against the ground, leaving a small dent in the very earth. Scorpio smirked at this. His opponent was physically strong, but not to any extent that should really be feared. After dodging yet another dash, Scorpio placed the tip of his spear onto the ground, tripping up the giant man. He fell to the ground, right onto his face before quickly getting up. Scorpio extended his free hand, firing off arrows of sand that pierced into the man, who stumbled to his knees. Scorpio, this time, dashed ahead himself. The man was unable to properly balance himself, and Scorpio pierced the man's arm with his spear before delivering a series of vicious punches and kicks to the kneeling man's body. He finally withdrew his spear and swung it across the face of the big man, who ceased breathing.
Arnaluuk had a somewhat similar fight to Scorpio, though she only had to deal with a smaller man wielding an axe as opposed to the man with a warhammer. The axeman had mentioned something about his brother, who must have been the guy with a warhammer. Arnaluuk cared little. Her foe was in front of her right now, and she pushed him away with her trident. She immediately took the offensive, swinging repeatedly at the man who was hopeless to defend. He was quickly disarmed by the Frozen Sea Spirit, and he hopelessly looked up at his assailant. He blinked in disbelief, slowly backing up to try to escape. Arnaluuk refused to let that happen, slamming her trident into the ground as a magic circle surrounded the man's feet along the ground. He was unable to escape from the encroaching blizzard, dropping to his knees from the cold. He looked around, seeing that this blizzard only had effected him, before a chunk of hail crashed against the top of his head. He straightened out for a moment, his head spinning before collapsing to the ground. As if his day was not getting bad enough, as he was on the ground, more hail pelted his body as he was lying on the ground until there was little more than a pile of haphazardly stacked on the motionless body. Arnaluuk was satisfied with her work, but she realized her job was not finished as she needed to stop Scorpio trying to hit on the unconscious body of the girl. She feared he would do something worse and, though she had no confirmation, she was nonetheless careful of such a thing.
Lupa had caught the daggers of the man with the daggers, who seemed very shocked. He tried saying something before Lupa pawed him to the ground. He immediately dropped his daggers, but remained motionless on the ground. Lupa neared him, growling. Only at that point did the boy start scrambling backwards in fear. Lupa let her tongue be coated in fire as she began to lick the boy. He began screaming in a mixture of pain and enjoyment from the large dog licking him repeatedly. Lupa continued to lick the man for a bit before pressing her paws on his chest, and the man ceased to move. Lupa's master always said that that was a good thing for people who were not allies, so she was content and made her way over to Scorpio, much as Arnaluuk had done prior.
Odhran had his left arm fashioned into a shield, easily defending against the attacks of the wizard, who was getting increasingly frantic as Odhran's right hand began growing spikes in preparation to strike down the leader of this guild of liars. "You are little more than a maggot that dares to defile the name of a God and his guild. You stand here in fear of my power and yet you do not think of the consequences to your actions. Look around as your comrades are struck down by my Spirits. These are my allies and my family, and I am an angry God that protects his family above all else. And yet you dare to insult the name of my people, of my family and my great guild to think of doing something as heinous as acting rashly in bearing the flag of a guild that is not your own. That only deserves righteous punishment."
The man had collapsed to his knees by this point as Odhran pierced his right hand through the man's skull. Arnaluuk had managed to drag Scorpio off of trying to flirt with the one survivor, and Odhran was content with the actions that he had done here for the honor of his guild.
