Always the one who is the first one to charge into a battle and will always assist an ally if it is necessary or if it is even possible. As soon as he picks an enemy he will fight until he can't fight any longer, continuing until the spar, or fight to the death, ends.

He used to be socially awkward, but his times as Eclipse Soul's bartender as well as the many jobs under his belt have made him into a sort of relaxed person when it comes to social situations. He's an overall friendly and boastful person that you would rather want as an ally than an enemy. Though, if he's bringing a room out from the tense feeling of an elephant in the room, he will do his best to slaughter said elephant so that everyone else doesn't have to, usually causing many people to sigh with relief whenever something tense is going on.

This is because he will show no mercy to those who cross him far enough or that he judges to be guilty, none at all. Zen used to be only friendly to his friends and acquaintances, and will put his very self on the line for allies he knows would do the same for him, but enemies, anyone who threatens his life, he will not hesitate to end them. Zenshin used to be a kind of quiet, conservative individual who killed for petty reasons, such as revenge and anger, but after seeing the truth, that part of him has all but faded.

If you're with him, you'll be wise to know that he will go to extremes in anyway he can to get a job done. A few things he won't do, like betray his teammates, of course, kill innocent people, or anything like that. Killing innocents and betrayal are his two worst, figurative enemies that he will never, ever in his life do. Other than that, people have said that it's just pleasant to be around him, and you'll never have an unpleasantness experience when doing jobs with him, as he likes to be flashy about his moves.

Under that exterior of friendliness though, his mind works much, much differently, piecing together the smallest of things to try and find a solution if there's a problem plaguing him. The way he thinks and the way he speaks are two, almost completely separate things, as he'd rather keep his thoughts to himself, unless the situation calls for it. Though he doesn't really enjoy talking about his past, if someone is persistent enough, he'll tell them, a "reward", as it was, for their persistence. He's also very persistent when it comes to matters of his guild, recruiting anyone he deems worthy despite whatever situation he meets them on.

Likes

• Noodles - Noodles were the food that he was ever aware of eating, he remembered the slurping of the long piece of wheat and flour into his mouth and loved every second of it. This will never change as his food item of choice.
  
• Honesty - Plain and simple. Zenshin likes honest people, it makes it easier for him to get to know them or get a job done. Although he really likes it when people are honest, it's a bit hypocritical as he himself is an excellent liar to those who deserve to be lied to.
  
• Ice - Being raised, basically on a wasteland of frigid ice will leave you with a like of the stuff, as you see nothing but that and aren't accustomed to anything else. Also, for a full year, he was the only user of ice make that he knew about aside from chairman Sparrow of the Magic Council.
  
• Scythes - This is a weapon he became partial to over the year of going on jobs and meeting new people. Just, the way they are used in battle, that, unique look and feel of the weapon. Everything about it really just makes Zenshin excited about it.
  
  Dislikes
  
• Assassins - These people utterly and completely disgust Zenshin. He believes killing is justified under the right situations, and tries to avoid it if he can help it, but unfortunately, there's always those times. Though, anyone who kills for just monetary gain are just the most foul, dark, kind of people.
  
• Condiments - Throughout his entire life, he's had a strong dislike towards condiments or anything of that sort of thing when it came to his food. He thought that if food wasn't good enough to be eaten bare, it wasn't good enough to be eaten at all.
  
• The "Hero" Types - No one, he believes, has done nothing but good all their life, as there is always a sort of balance to things. Anyone who says that they've never done anything bad in their whole life are most likely lying, and even if they weren't, that would make them very boring to him. Though, he has yet to meet a single person that has genuinely meant it.
  
• The Magic Council - Not really an actual "hate", but more like a dislike of them. Mostly because all they do is bombard him with paperwork and busy work when he could be out there and doing jobs
  
  Motivations
  
• Utopia - With his thirst for power wholly satisfied, a need grew within him for another dream, and that dream was one he shared with the cause of Sabertooth, to create a paradise. It's a crazy dream he has, but he's sure that with enough persistence, he'll eventually create a place like this, or at least something close.
  
• Wisdom - It drives Zenshin on an ongoing quest to learn everything about Earthland and the creatures inhabiting it. Not only that, but he wishes to expand his knowledge on everything he possibly can before his tragic demise. This was his greatest motivation, was drives him on this quest of his.
  
• Adventure - His second greatest motivation, as gaining all that new knowledge requires quite a bit of leg work and mysteries to be solved by him, or his team of guild mates. It's not about the final outcome, it's the journey to it that matters most. Knowing that all the hardships yield results is enough to keep him going.
  
• Family - His biggest motivation was wisdom, but now even that takes a backseat to his new greatest motivation, his wife and child. He would do anything for her if it meant making her happy, as well as doing the same for his daughter.
  
• Sabertooth - Though expressed through utopia, one of his other, bigger motivations is his guild, Sabertooth. Although it has all but died a few times already, that doesn't stop him from reviving it when it does, raising it from the ashes, stronger than it was previously.

• Being Defeated - This is still a fear he has. Though, doesn't apply to friendly spars or bar fights, no, it applies to being defeated by a legitimate threat to his life that wouldn't hesitate to kill him in a moment's notice.
  
• Distrust - In particular, this means those situations where he cold of helped out a teammate by blocking a blow or something smaller, such as pointing one in the direction of a restroom. Distrust between his guild mates is the very last thing hopes ever happens to him.
  
• Losing His Mind - It's not the darkness looming around him or the fact that he gets lost about every time he's in the Spooky Forest, no, those are relatively easy to cope with. But, if he loses his mind, everything he perceives becomes tainted, reality as seen by him is permanently blemished and that, that thought will always haunt him.

In fact, he would go out of his way to receive some eldritch tomes or other book containing hidden knowledge and simply add it to the collection of Sabertooth's library. On matters of his past, he is much more reticent, not liking to recall unfortunate circumstances that he had once experienced. However, should someone be sufficiently persistent or well acquainted with him, he would tell them at least parts of his history.

Personality: Vincent is a man of few, but powerful, passions. In a more social setting, he won't hesitate to tell others about his present work or about the work he plans on doing in the future. At his core, Vincent is a true wizard - not just one who uses magic as a tool to help those in need, but one who studies magic in depth and attempts to develop it further not for any specific goal, but because it's simply interesting in its own right. In his private time, Vincent will contemplate any results he has observed through personal experimentation or actually perform experimentation to investigate various forms of commonly used magic, such as that belonging to casters and holders or those with certain elemental affinities.

As a result of his specialized interest, Vincent is significantly less informed about other topics and even the world he lives in as a whole - seeing those aforementioned topics that are not specifically and clearly related to the study of magic as a waste of time. Due to this view, Vincent is quite uninformed with regards to the hierarchical organization of various groups across Fiore - groups that any other individual would be able to evaluate or with which, at the very least, have some sort of semblance of familiarity.

Vincent views combat as a necessary evil in his quest for knowledge and understanding. In addition to his studies on magic, Vincent makes an effort to study the anatomy of various aggressive creatures around Fiore or that he is likely to meet in order to minimize the amount of time he needs to fight before any potential enemy is pacified. As far as his opponents are concerned, he has no qualms about killing monsters but is very highly averse to the killing of other sentient humans. Barring extreme circumstances, Vincent won't kill nor will he allow others to be killed if he can help it.

While to some, a life of solidarity can be maddening, Vincent prefers his own company more than that of others. He leans heavily onto the introverted side of the degree of extroversion and, as such, will often limit himself to one or two allies should he need assistance to take on a job. Speaking of jobs, he does them only to help fund his own private research or to gather certain information that he couldn't otherwise reproduce. While he cares a bit about the plight of those who need mages to assist them, he doesn't care enough to act if there wasn't a jewel incentive and thus may be seen as a bit cruel or insensitive by some.

Vincent is certainly on the selfish side of motivations, as he doesn't see the feeling of pride that one gets from helping others as particularly worthwhile nor valuable in the long-term. His goals, he believes, are far more important and thus if he has to take more time on a job in order to collect data - Vincent won't hesitate.

• Baths - As one who constantly spends hours at a time thinking about narrow topics, Vincent has come to the conclusion that doing so while completely relaxed in a body of water is most beneficial to coming to meaningful conclusions.
  
• Truth - While most people would say that they like the truth, Vincent has dedicated his entire life to the notion. With each experiment he performs and every data set that he accumulates, Vincent unlocks deeper and more subtle aspects of magic which he is happy to share with all who'd listen.
  
• Water - Being raised basically on a wasteland of frigid ice will leave you with a love of the solidified water, as you and it are in close proximity for a very long time. There's something about the nature of water that Vincent can't quite put his finger on that makes it his favorite elemental affinity.
  
  Dislikes
  
• False Prophets - Not exactly liars, but rather specifically those who claim to have wisdom which they really lack. False prophets will speak in such a way so as to sway the desperate into begging them for guidance. The guidance provided will always come at a cost and will never be helpful. These predators are the antithetical to his entire being.
  
• Hot-Heads - Those who are too eager to jump into combat or conclusions are looked upon quite poorly by Vincent. He judges these kinds of individuals as immature at best and malicious at worst.
  
• Shortsightedness - Vincent is aware that a degree of shortsightedness is necessary to keep a machine running smoothly, so to speak, but often notices that shortsighted behaviors are much more common than they ought to be. The negative effects of shortsightedness can be as minuscule as people choosing not to use a service more than once if the service provider made promises he couldn't keep to catastrophic if one with high authority employs shortsighted decision making in his or her position.
