- Enemy Rank: Weak
Enemy HP: 50 HP
Fanatic followers of either the Shroud of Orcus, a cult dedicated to the dark elven god of war and death, or the Theorems of Uaggool, dedicated to the mindflayer deity of forbidden knowledge. The cultists are human and weak-willed, and should cultists of the Shroud meet cultists of the Theorems, an inevitable bloodbath must ensue. They do not usually have magic power, but there are one or two of these cultists that can summon, though they have not the power to control their summons, which are often too strong for them.
Magic Council Spies - Enemy Rank: Weak
Enemy HP: 50 HP
Magic Council grunts, weak but disciplined. They have infiltrated both dark elven and mindflayer cults, with the aim of gathering knowledge on the cults, and retrieving an ancient artifact in the possession of one of the cults, believed to be a source of great magical power.
Priests - Enemy Rank: Normal
Enemy HP: 200
Depending on the cult, either dark elves or mindflayers. They are capable of magic, with the dark elven cult clergy exclusively made of priestesses who use weapon requip or death-themed magics, while the mindflayers (technically sexless) use mental spells. They are often attended to by cultists.
Magic Council Infiltrator - Enemy Rank: Strong
Enemy HP: 350 HP
Disguised as a cultist, this fellow is well-trained in the art of espionage, and coordinates the Magic Council spies within the cults. His job is to retrieve an Utgardian artifact held by one of the cults, and present it to the Magic Council. He is ruthless and can sacrifice his entire team to see that the mission is successful. Quite proficient in combat magic.
Abomination of the Deep - Enemy Rank: Boss
Enemy HP: 450 HP
The stuff of nightmares, this creature has the head of an angler fish on the body of a humanoid. From its back sprout about a dozen thin but very strong tentacles, and this creature is coated from head to foot in some slimy black substance. It is summoned by cultists of the Theorems who know how to, although it is usually too strong for the cultists to control, and kills its summoner before going on a rampage. It doesn't use magic, but is quite strong, can use its back tentacles, which can extend up to twenty meters, to attack, defend and restrain an opponent. Oh, and it bites.
Aelyd - Enemy Rank: Boss
Enemy HP: 550 HP
An ancient dark elf who is the head priestess of the Shroud cult, and who knows Beira quite well. Very conniving and treacherous, she is not one to be trusted. She possesses an Utgardian relic, the Key of Hrim, which serves as a conduit to absorb and focus cosmic energy. Obtaining this relic is the objective of the Magic Council. Aelyd is a very powerful necromancer and illusionist.
