    The Mystic


    Magic Type: Ancient (+50% to strength)
    Description: The art of the Mystic originated in the art of elemental manipulation. Practiced primarily by the Djinn living in the most desolate parts of the world, its teachings were eventually spread through various powerful elementals and even ended up on the continent of Ishgar. However, very few were able to ever control such chaotic nature and many died trying. Eventually, Noheme stepped up to the challenge. Her natural affinity toward flames and ascended status as Tenko allowed her to acquire this mystical power.

    Once acquired, Noheme also quickly bend the power to her own whims and developed a completely new style of using it. Rather than following the path of previous casters that utilized the Mystic’s ability, she instead figured out how to directly imbue her body with it, enhance her already superior physical abilities. Not only that, the inherently elemental affinity of the chaotic magic also granted her extended control over elements other than the ones she was primarily able to use as well.

    Unique Abilities

    Mystic reinforcement
    A Mystic’s presence is usually a powerful one, their bodies capable of controlling almost any element they desire. Such power reinforces one’s body, allowing the user of such art to withstand almost any impact.
    Incoming immobilization effects are countered (effectiveness lowered to 50%).
    The Mystic’s strength grows by 60%.

    Magic inflow
    Those who are capable of practicing the arts of the Mystic are also individuals who possess a great affinity with magic. This usually allows them to draw magic in, but also have it form a partial resistance to many things that originate from magic.
    The user recovers 5% MP per post.
    Incoming debuff effects are countered (effectiveness lowered to 50%).

    Mystic ward
    All previous Mystics used their powers to control the elements and turn their fury to their enemies without getting themselves into danger. Noheme, however, went in a completely different direction. And to her benefit, she created a ward that protects her when engaging the enemy up close.
    In combat, the user will obtain a ward that can take two full hits of S-ranked damage.
    While the ward is active, the user will have 60% boon to strength.

    Description: A core ability of the mystic’s ability, a spell that activates the energy within one’s body and stimulates it for further use. Casting the spell surrounds the user with an ethereal flame aura, as well as making their eyes glow violet. Aside from these visual effects, they also obtain two extra pairs of arms formed by slightly transparent purple magical energy. Their body also grows stronger with the magic, increasing the user’s strength by 70%.

    Description: The Mystic is a being of great magic. However, it is hard for anyone to keep all of this power inside of them at all times. As a result, they can expel the overflow of their power. This will become a field around the user that takes on the appearance of certain weather. What kind of weather is up to the user and their current elemental affinity. Regardless, those who are close enough will be damaged by this weather while the user gains a boon of 70% to their strength. Other spells of this magic can also use this weather as a medium. Range of the weather is not limited outside of PvP encounters.

    Description: Activating the ability allows the user to shift the paradigm their own body follows within the reality. Not only does this increase their strength by 70%, but also allows them to teleport up to 100 meters worth of distance per post for the duration.

    Description: Not many mages are able to unlock their second origin, yet it is almost a requirement for those who wish to pursue the art of the Mystic. That aside, once unlocked, this secondary container allows the user to have 50% more magic power.

    Description: Noheme, as a Kitsune, already had senses stronger than those of most other beings. However, infused with the powers of a Mystic, these traits grew even stronger. Now her senses are so precise and strong, that she can perceive anything that happens within the specified range, even if she is not looking. This includes anything from movement to even things as subtle as heartbeat of others.

Thankfully this only has positive results, one of which is having a cost reduction of 50% on any and all abilities which consume magic power.

    Description: An empowerment ability that forces the mystic energy to flow through one’s body. Not only will this increase the user’s strength by 90%, but it will also give them enough power that all of their melee attacks will get the option to generate a shock-wave that will then deal the same melee damage to all enemies within burst range as well.

    Description: The Mystic’s power is great and in the hands of a correct individual almost capable of anything at all. This specific spell is a proof as such, as it allows Noheme to gain a considerable control over reality itself. Within the designated range, she can change the reality’s paradigm and inflict either any buff or debuff on her allies or enemies with the maximum which this buff can reach being 90% (Caps on certain stats still apply). Can also affect other attributes of targeted characters outside of PvP encounters and with OOC permission.

    Description: An ability that will have the user slam the ground with one of their limbs, sending out a creeping wave of purple and black elemental energy that will damage those it hits, but also forcibly pulled them straight to the user and leave them within melee range (Once every other post). At the same time, the user will be empowered and gains a 65% boon to strength.

    Description: Gathering snow and frost around the user, they will imbue this element with mystic energy and then unleash it in a cone in front of the user. This will result in a purple-ish ice forming numerous spikes and damaging whoever is in the way. Those affected will be partially encased in ice, their movement locked down (Once every other post) and their overall movement speed lowered by 65%. Uses snow augmentation of elemental overload.

    Description: Gathering enough mystic energy to form a small ball, the user can fling it and send it toward the target across the floor. If the ball collides with the enemy, it deal damage and explode into a shock-wave of the spell’s secondary type (Burst) Dealing that type’s damage in its designated range. The original target hit by the spells is not affected by the secondary type. Unleashing the attack will leave behind particles of mystic energy that will then cling to the user, increasing their strength by 65%.

    Description: A rather unique ability that borders on a make-magic type. Using their mystic powers, the user can manipulate whatever element is around to construct a pylon structure that will connected to them and form a mystic tether. As long as the user remains in range, this tether will remain unbroken and will allow the user to cast any spells and have them originate from the pylon’s location instead from their own body.

    Name: Mystic lightning

    Description: Targeting an enemy, the user can unleash an invisible ‘snare’ that will travel and home in on the target. If this snare hits, the user can pull down purple lightning that will strike the hit opponent to deal damage. The impact of this will also create a wave of creeping lightning that will go out and follows the spell’s secondary type (AoE) in range and damage. The original enemy hit by the lightning is not affected by the secondary field. All enemies hit by this spell will have their defenses destroyed and will take 50% more melee damage. Uses storm augmentation of elemental overload.

    Description: A spell that starts creating a carpet-like path of purple and black elemental mass which then continues up to the spell’s range. The user, on the other hand, will gain a 70% boon to their strength while on the carpet.

    Description: A spell that utilizes storm augmentation of elemental overload, taking the falling rain within range and infuses it with mystic energy, turning the individual drops into sharp needles. These will start rapidly circling the user, damaging everyone who gets too close. The user themselves will gain a 70% boon to their strength as long as the storm lasts.

    Description: Gathering the mystic energy, the user can forge a barrier of sorts around themselves, as well as all allies targets within range. This barrier primarily blocks incoming attacks, but also secondarily reinforce the bodies of those affected, increasing their strength by 70%.

    Description: Creating several balls of mystic-infused lightning around themselves, the user can target up to 5 enemies within the range and then send these orbs at them. If they hit, they will deal damage and paralyze the affected enemy (Once every other post). Remnants of the empowered lightning will also grant the user a 70% boon to their strength.

    Description: Targeting an enemy, the user can unleash an invisible ‘snare’ that will travel and home in on the target. If this snare hits, then the target transforms into a small white ball that briefly floats in the air and then slams into the ground. This transforms the target back and deals damage to them, as well. The impact also creates a well of flames and magma, which follows the spell’s secondary type (Burst). The original enemy is not affected by the secondary type and its damage. Those who find themselves in the flame field will be immobilized (Once every other post) and the user will gain a 105% boon to their strength inside of the field.
