She has faint and deep scars across her body, some from when she was a child and others from Wyrmroot’s training. There’s two particular scars on her body that stand out: one on her head hidden by her hair that was caused by her father after he accidentally hit Protos with a bottle, it still aches at times and specially when it snows or rains, and the second one a deep scar across her back, passing over her guild mark is, from when she was finally betrayed by the people she thought were her parents. Both her right arm and eye are missing, though Protos never says what exactly caused her to lose them and replace her arm with a prosthetic.

Personality:

A rather calm and cold looking individual due to the difficult upbringing she experienced while living in the middle of nowhere in Iceberg, Protos can often be mistaken for being a rather stoic or unemotional person. The reality of the situation is a little more complicated than that. Initiated as a consequence due to the absence of any compassion towards her from her father and the flippant care she received from her mother. Rather than lacking emotions or the ability to emote, it would be more accurate to say that she chooses to manage her demeanor and control herself. Part of her training growing up under the tutelage of Wyrmroot demanding that she be able to reel in her more explosive emotions under even strenuous circumstances. So despite the fact that she may come off as cold most times, in reality she isn’t an uncaring individual. This does not, however, invalidate the twisted nature residing deep within her heart.

The only moment this twisted nature is seen manifesting itself is upon entering battle; once she does this it’s as if a switch gets flipped inside her head that causes her calm expression to contort into one of sheer glee and cruelty. Being thrown into the midst of battle causes her to become far more expressive than she normally is, at times losing herself in the ecstatic sensation she receives from fighting. Alongside this is her ever present, and somewhat cruel, severity in and out of combat towards anyone that isn’t her ally or a truly neutral party; she shows no signs of remorse towards them whether it is whilst pummeling them with a smile across her face or cutting them down with an uncaring expression. It is aspect of herself that allowed her to plunge a broken spear into her father’s abdomen as a child.

It was through Wyrmroot that she learned the twisted nature in her heart was most likely something she inherited from an ancestor, her origins being from Iceberg making the sickly old man deduce they were some form of military leader. This was also what he assumed caused Protos’ father to be so uncaring and greedy, seeking self-satisfaction and gain over anything else. The blood pumping through her veins granting her both blessings and curses, at times boiling and over taking her. Her bloodlust skyrocketing and turning her into a warmongering creature less “Child of Man” and more “Child of Beasts” in Wyrmroot’s eyes. Despite this hypothesized heritage she holds little interest in leading anyone, preferring to either stick to herself or charging alongside others; this is not due to a lack of talent from her part, but simply a lack of interest.

The only time one might be able to get her cold character to break aside from battle is if she drinks. Whenever she does so the “real” Protos is said to come out, clinging to others and spilling her heart should she drink too much. This is not often seen as she prefers to drink in solitude most times, unless invited out incessantly by acquaintances. Should she drink too much she will break the icy walls around her and become far more emotional, expressing joy far more easily than usual. It is also in this state that one may catch her suddenly bursts into tears from the pent up frustration of keeping herself in check for so long.

Likes:

• Sweets: A sucker for sweet drinks, foods and candies, Protos is able to sniff out when someone has so much as leftover candy in their pocket. She often eats sweets more than she does actual food, a bad habit she picked up while growing up under Wyrmroot’s care.
  

• Money: Despite holding contempt towards her father for his uncontrollable love for money, Protos herself has developed a similar attachment and love for money. She will rarely share her earnings and happily take anything she is given.
  

• Reading: At Wyrmroot’s insistence, Protos read every day at least once and developed an attachment to the activity. She enjoys Fantasy Fiction and Romantic Novels most of all, but would beat anyone who hinted towards the latter one.
  

Dislikes:

• Spice: Protos has a poor tolerance to spicy foods and detests them no matter how much she tries to overcome her dislike. Even mild spices are able to cause her tongue to burn.
  

• Feminine Clothes: She quite passionately dislikes utilizing what would be classified as “feminine” clothes, finding the likes of skirts and dresses somewhat to restrictive in terms of movement. Protos also detests wearing footwear like heels, preferring her boots or even going barefoot.
  Her Night Terrors: Protos will sometimes avoid sleeping if she feels she may suffer a night terror about her father that night, hating the vulnerability it makes her experience whenever she has one.
  

• Losing Herself: Though she doesn,t mind allowing herself to go loose in battle, she loathes whenever she loses control and begins to go on a bloody rampage with no end in sight.

• Wyrmroot’s Belief in Her: Protos considers Wyrmroot’s confidence in her ability to grow passed her misfortune and the twistedness in her heart to be a constant motivation for her, unwilling to disappoint the old man. His final letter to her helping her cope whenever she suffers one of her night terrors or paranoia attacks.
  

• Making a Home for Herself: She hopes to one day be able to make a home for herself and whomever she decides to spend her life with, should the time come. Protos beliefs this to be a way to honor the good Wyrmroot saw in her and make good use of any fortune she amasses.

• Her Father: Ever since she was a child there was this minute fear she felt towards the man she once called father. Even after having taken his life a phantom of him haunts her and any recollection of him causes her to begin shaking out of fear and frustration. This can easily lead to her succumbing to the paranoia and falling into a state of panic.
  

• Claustrophobia: Developed due to childhood trauma from being locked inside a chest whenever she made mistakes while doing housework or bothered her father. Should Protos find herself in an enclosed and small space she will begin to breathe heavily, hyperventilating. Remaining in such a space for too long may cause her to breakdown and huddle up on the floor.
  

• Solitude: Despite being somewhat of a loner, the idea of being left alone with no one to turn to terrifies Protos. Being unwanted and never truly feeling at home as a child leaving a permanent mark upon her.
  

• Lack of Worth: Protos fears being perceived as useless and unnecessary, the thought alone causing her mind to race with paranoia even if her face does not reflect it.
