Strange Vulcans (Aeon and Abbigail)

Aeon held the poster of the mission in her hand tightly, carrying it to the mission area to know where she was headed. This day, she was wearing her standard adventure gear, as it was cheap and easy to fix up. Still that did not mean that she lacked style. With her other hand, she cheerily messed around with her hair’s clip, because it was getting in her face, and that was moderately bugging her. The mission required that she end up at the spooky forest, which was known for having odd monster issues. Not to mention the actual monsters that existed.
 
Today, according to the mission, she was to take a partner with her to slay a group of odd Vulcans that have been stealing food from a nearby town. Stealing was an unforgivable action, being hungry was no reason to take what wasn’t yours. Thusly Aeon took this mission, not to slay the Vulcans, but instead to beat them up, and teach them all a lesson. Her selected partner for the task, a friend from the battle of Magnolia a few weeks back, Abbigail Sylvania. They made a pretty wicked combo, and Aeon wanted to work on the teamwork a bit more anyways, so why not get paid to do it? “You ready to teach some vulcans a lesson?” Aeon would ask, with an upbeat cheery attitude that straight up didn’t match the tone of the question at all.

Abbigail was dressed in her usual outfit as well, a mostly white number to match her pale complexion. She was yawning slightly and rubbing her eyes, as she was still tired from not getting much sleep the previous night. She watched Aeon quietly for a while before speaking up, "Hey, what the heck are you so excited about? They're just monkeys..." She said, yawning again and rubbing at her eyes. "Why do we have to do this today, anyway? Can't it wait until I've slept a bit?" She asked, but she was speaking mostly out of boredom, since she wasn't really the type to complain so much.

Abby herself was actually a bit excited to go after the monsters in the forest; it was another chance to prove herself as a competent mage. After all, she had to show herself that she was improving, and that she was actually a good fighter, else she'd never beat a god like she dreamt of doing. But today; monkeys. It shouldn't be a problem, right? After all, her tag-team partner was sure to guarantee a victory against these things. "Sure, let's get this over with then... I think I see one over there." She said, pointing off into the forest, where she thought she could see one of the creatures they were meant to be hunting.

Aeon would wonder to herself why Abbigail was so grumpy, as the pale mage was usually not prone to complaints. She was of course unaware of the fact that her partner was low on sleep, so Aeon would mindlessly ignore any hints to such a thing, even the blatantly obvious ones. She was too excited about getting her first mission done, which was a huge step in her mage career. This would, of course, mean a lot to her. Especially since her current best friend was assisting her. Aeon was certain that this mission would grant a whole new level of wisdom, "You can sleep when we return to the guild hall, silly. We agreed today."

It would be mere moments longer that her partner would point out a Vulcan that was ahead. The beast's green fur with oddly colored patches that looked sort of like hearts forming a pattern up its arms, were quite apparent, and caught Aeon's attention once they were pointed out. Aeon would jump a bit, and would pick up a rather small stick, "Alright, lets carefully approach it, and take it out." Of course, the worst of things could have happened as a group of Vulcans would surround the two girls, "Aww phooey."

'Monster Dice' :

"Huh? Oh, yeah... I guess we did.... Whatever, let's just get this done. Shouldn't be too tough, right? Heh." She would say, only keeping her complacent mood out of stubbornness at this point, and because she had nothing better to do than to play around a bit. "I see you're as cheery as ever though, so that's good. I like seeing a smile on that pretty face o' yours... Let's just hope the monkeys don't upset you too much. Wouldn't want the meanies to go and do something like that" She said, thinking to herself; For their sakes, anyway... Heh.

As Abby saw Aeon jump a bit, she tilted her head and raised an eyebrow at her, giggling a bit as she picked up a stick. The action reminded her of the first time her and Aeon had met, when Abby had picked up a nearby plank and cracked it over some dark mage's thick skull. "Love the weapon choice, my dear. I couldn't have picked something better myself~" She said, laughing out loud for a bit before abruptly gulping down her laughter as she and Aeon were suddenly surrounded by a decent sized group of apes. "Oh... Not funny... So, Aeon, whattaya think? We still gonna carefully approach one and take it out, or is it time to lay down the hurt on these monkeys? Jeez, why are the bad guys ALWAYS in groups?" She asked, swearing under her breathe as she dropped quickly, not waiting for a response as she picked up a rather large rock and pitched it at the head of one of the vulcans, hoping it would hit but not really taking her time to aim as she also grabbed up a large stick of her own.

Aeon would note that Abbigail had managed to distract the Vulcans for long enough to actually obtain a weapon of her own to fight with. Now, most would think, hey, what could a girl with a twig do against a large group of Vulcans. Well, most people, a girl with a twig could do very little against the Vulcans. And that is exactly what Aeon was planning for, as the Vulcans also thought this themselves. All of the Vulcans, about 10 in total, leapt in towards them, and aimed to knock them out with a barrage of punches all aimed in the same general area. Well, Aeon is smarter than that, and had this all planned out ahead of time, surprisingly.

Quickly, she would grab up Abbigail, and leap into the air, seeming to hold the twig above her. What was actually happening was that she was controlling the object's orientation in space with her magic, allowing her to fly. She would then cause the twig to grow to the size of a branch, and she would sit atop it along with Abbigail, "Hey Abbi-chan~ This ain't too hard, right? Just a bunch of stupid apes." Aeon would giggle, and stand up on the branch. The Vulcans would start getting all mad and jumping around in a fury at he insult, as Vulcans did understand human speech to some degree. Aeon would jump, as a signal for Abbigail to do the same, before increasing the amount of space the twig took up to the point where it was as large as an Indiana Jones Tunnel Boulder, a horrifying sight. "Alright Abbi! I've got them locked on! Prep a follow-up attack," Aeon would say with a grin, as she sent the massive tree-worth of wood down at the Vulcans at 40 mph, smashing a few of them with relative ease, leaving them unconscious in the attack's wake, but now the wood was splintered towards the bottom.

*First dice are my attacks on one of the apes, the second dice is that stupid ape's blocks. The third dice are that ape's attacks on me, and the fourth are my blocks (two blocks for each of the vulcan's attacks, due to clairvoyance).*

"Freaking APES!!" Abby shouted, trying to sound angry though her excitement shined through very clearly instead of the fake anger she was trying to transmit. She found herself giggling for some reason, and as she wound up to try and punch one of the apes in the head, she felt herself getting yanked upward into the sky by Aeon. "Hey! What are you doing? I was gonna kick that one's butt!" She said in bold protest to what Aeon had done, but she quickly got over it and stood up on the branch along with Aeon, smiling giddily at her from all the excitement.

As she stood and now looked down at the monkeys, she stuck her tongue out teasingly at them and grabbed onto her branch tightly with both hands, waiting for Aeon's queue. "Y-yeah, this is nothing! Heh~ I hope these are just weak ones, or else we'll never get a challenge out of these things!" She said proudly. Then, she jumped high into the air and did a little twirl to add flare to the following move, landing on the branch that Aeon had flung at the apes and leaping backwards off of it, flipping in mid-air and landing in front of one of the vulcans who had attempted to run from the attack Aeon had thrown. Sticking her tongue out once more, she brought her branch down on it's head and nearly brained the poor thing with the stick, but her follow-up swing was blocked by another vulcan nearby. The second vulcan threw two massive punches at Abby, the first of which she easily side-stepped. However, she did not see the second one at first, and just as it was coming in she got the premonition of being struck by it, giving her just enough time to front-flip over the punch and land behind the Vulcan, smirking as she jumped away and landed, facing the vulcan, ready to face off one-on-one with it. "Hey, cutie! I got one, and I'm working on his friend right now! You're move!"

Aeon would land at last, bending her knees to lessen the fall, and she would stand back upright. A pair of vulcans leapt at her, fists bared. In quick and reflexive action, Aeon would swiftly bring the large splintered log back to her, and spun it around wildly, forming a sort of barrier that deflected the Vulcans to opposite sides of her harmlessly. Aeon would give an antsy grin, and waved her hands around. This caused spikes to shoot out of the log, wildly jutting back and forth. Upon striking the targeted Vulcan, she had hopes that the log would suffer enough recoil to hit the opposite Vulcan.

The spikes of splintered wood would rapidly impale the stupid ape on her left, and the log would shoot towards the other Vulcan. It had almost worked, the Vulcan had put its guard up, and everything. Sadly, Aeon hit the other Vulcan a moment too late, and the log stopped just short of her second target.

Aeon would see this and frown momentarily, "Crap!" With that she would shrink the stick down to the size of a twirling baton, and hold it in her hand, taking a defensive pose so that she would be ready for what was to come.

The vulcan that had tried to punch Abbigail just a moment ago turned and huffed angrily at her, and as she dashed forward and raised her stick over her head it grinned at her, thinking it had tricked her. It had been preparing a power punch, and as she got close it attempted to uppercut her; but as the ape's fist scooped low to the ground she stepped on the thing's wrist and used it's strength and it's punching action to leap high into the sky, the thing's weak attempt at retaliation showing in the form of another punch aimed up at her, but she was moving up too quickly and it missed her midsection. As she just barely dodged the second punch she laughed out loud and jumped again off of the back of the Vulcan's other fist that had just almost hit her. Getting a great amount of height now, she began to flip faster and faster, extending the branch that she planned on hitting this vulcan with.

CRACK!

The sound of the branch hitting the Vulcan's head at such a huge speed with all of Abbigail's weight and fall added into the strike was almost sickening, a mixture of a dull thud, a loud wail of pain, the branch snapping, and the Vulcan's poor skull cracking just a bit. Now unarmed, though, Abbi had no choice but to aim a kick at the next vulcan, and as she wasn't as proficient in hand to hand combat as she was with using a stave, the kick was easily blocked by the thing, and she was sent reeling backwards as the vulcan shoved her off balance, making her land in a sprawled position, where she quickly pulled her skirt down to keep her modesty. "Ooof! That was mean! You don't go knocking girls in skirts onto the ground okay?! Perv!" She shouted at the thing, angrily preparing to whack it with a particularly painful spell.

Aeon would grip tightly on the small baton-sized stick as she would turn her head to watch her partner down another Vulcan. It was good that she was pulling it off quite nicely. Aeon was taking a headcount now though. There were approximately 5 still standing, which meant there were 5 down. Good, she would think to herself, enjoying the little things in the situation. While the Vulcans were weak, they were still large monkeys with huge muscles. That never actually ever bode well for fragile young women like herself.

And suddenly, she would notice that another pair of Vulcans was attacking her.

Aeon would set herself up in the proper position, and she would wave her hands in a mystical manner. As the Vulcans would throw in their fists to attack, Aeon had gotten past them by doing a strange waving maneuver in which she spun around them whilst flailing her arms in their faces. She would quickly grow the baton-sized stick into something of a bo staff, and she would twirl it a bit and slam it down onto a Vulcan. The stupid ape's girth may as well have blocked it, because it didn't do anything to it. Aeon would then use the momentum and vault over the Vulcan she hit, changing the stick to a log and slamming it down onto the other Vulcan, it also did little damage, however, Aeon had calculated this, and expanded the log to be a telephone-pole in length smashing the stick on the ground. "Ahh, oops!" she would speak with a bit of fear in her voice as small splinters fell to the ground.

The other Vulcan was blowing steam out its nose with one of those perverted faces they make. Aeon quickly retaliated to this realizing the wonderful view she accidentally gave it, holding down her skirt and yelling at it, "Don't look up, you stupid perverted ape!"

Abbigail picked up a nearby boulder and hoisted it over her head. It was heavy and sturdy, and it would work perfectly for her flash forward spell. There's no way it could fail! She threw the rock with all of her might towards the ape who had pushed her over, glaring angrily at it and shouting, "FLASH FORWARD" She was angry, and she was hoping that she would demolish the poor thing in this one, quick attack, but her face melted into an exasperated expression as the Vulcan easily dodged most of the attacks, the rest merely clipping it for insignificant amounts of damage. It was glowering perversely at her, and she blushed heavily as it started shambling towards her. As it threw a kick at her, she reacted swiftly by rolling out of the way, but unfortunately this roll took her into the path of another one's uppercut as she stood up, the thing's fist connecting firmly with her jaw and sending her flying away a few meters. Luckily, the punch would only be enough to make her mouth bleed and her head throb heavily for a while, with some numbing effects on her jaw. She was dazed and confused, shaking her head in an attempt to re-focus on the world around her. Her skirt was now up around her abdomen, but she didn't care at this point. She was too hurt to worry about hiding her panties, which weren't even all that sexy or embarrassing, just standard white little things. She would be angry if she possessed the strength to even think straight after that punch, but as she tasted the blood that was now coating her tongue she snapped back up to her feet, wobbling a bit, then standing firm and picking up another stick, ready to launch her counter attack. "S-shtupid....aps... imannuh kck yr...ra...." She said, her speech slurred from the dizziness and her jaw numb from the punch, making it hard to understand what she was saying, and definitely removing any amount of intimidation factor from it.
