In this particular afternoon on the peaceful city of Magnolia, most of the civilians looked up to the sky in wonder and curiosity, pointing and murmuring among themselves why it looks somewhat beautiful that it normally does. For at this particular day, the sky had a different shade of blue. It displayed a darker shade of blue, akin to that of blue flame. Though beautiful and seemingly harmless, there was one within the crowd who knew of what this entails, that this world is in danger of total annihilation. This is none other than Leo who partook in the daring mission to stop the danger from the sky.
Dressed in his old brown cloak, once again with his hood on, and this time his head down, he hurries to the guild hall of his home, Fairy Tail coming from his old shack to gather supplies for the journey to Era that are in a knapsack on his back that he carries by a rope that goes over his shoulder. He hurriedly passes through the crowd, paying no attention to them, his mind clearly focused on ending the threat as quickly as he could, along with the help of one of his children and current Guild Master, Mura Kensho whom he suspects is at the hall without any assurance, which is why he hurries there, afraid that he might miss him.
Leo has made it to the front of the hall's oaken doors, thunder rumbling in the distance, his daughter, Lina waiting for him as she holds on the reins of the horse they used to ride to ride on their way back to Fairy Tail named Lenny. As Leo approached Lina, he knelt down to be almost at the same eye level as her. He could clearly see the worry in her eyes, and the sadness that wells up inside her that in any moment could manifest themselves as tears. They looked deep into each other's eyes as if having a mental conversation with Leo trying to calm his daughter down. A smiled curled up in his face as he slowly places his strong gentle hands on her little head, caressing her hair. This made Lina tear up a little though she did not notice this at first, only when the drop had reached her lips that she felt it. In response to this feeling, she closed her eyes and proceeded to wipe her tears off with the back of her hand, dragging it across up until her arm. "Please be safe ok, dad? she said, her voice cracking up, evidently trying to hold off more tears and show strength to which Leo simply nodded with pride to reply to his daughter's words.
With a final soft tap to the head of his offspring, Leo stood up and stretched his hand out, while Lina tied Lenny's reins to a post and took Leo's hand as they went in to the guild at the same time, hand in hand, through the oaken doors.
The interior of the guild was particularly laid back and quiet as the thunder continue to rumble outside. Similar to the day he came back, there was little noise and few people present, and the few who are there can clearly deduce that something is wrong. That something bad is going to happen if nothing is done about it. But who were they to take on this tremendous task? They do not have the power to deal with it, and simply looked at Leo's general direction as soon as they heard the doors open. To them, Leo is but a stranger, a hooded figure who is apparently a member of Fairy Tail since only a few days ago. And though they have not seen him in action, they feel as if Leo was qualified to take on this threat. Maybe he was, maybe he wasn't. He doesn't know for it has been years since Leo last drew upon his magic.
Leo let go of Lina's hand and placed his on her back as if prompting her to go somewhere "Stay in the library for a little while, ok? Go on. I'll be back." he said to her softly and as calmly as he could, surprisingly, not masking anything. Leo was indeed calm for this particular situation for he knows this job though important and dangerous that it could potentially end all that exists, that it wasn't about him. It was about seeing how powerful one of his children has grown. After all, this is their time, this is more their world than it is his.
As Lina was making her way towards the stairs to head on up to the library at the second floor, Leo was looking around for the same person he had asked to fetch Mura on his first day back to the guild. And after two minutes of scanning through the hall, he had found the specific individual taking his break, eating a sandwich and drinking juice near the bar of Fairy Tail.
Leo approached the employee and simply placed a hand on his shoulder as he was about to eat a piece of his sandwich he had on his hand while his eyes were closed. The employee suddenly opened his and turned his head towards Leo. He had only given the man a simple nod and the employee had only nodded back for they both knew what this is about. After all, he was the same man Leo has asked to hand him the job request. "Tell him to meet me outside." Leo said to him quietly.
With the sandwich placed back on the unfurled wrapper, the employee got up his stool and fetched Leo's partner for this dangerous mission. And on the other hand, Leo turned around and headed back outside, the oaken doors opening as soon as he got near them. It was here that Leo starred at the same blue sky from earlier, the thunder rumbling the distance. A great battle will soon begin and the stage is being set for the heroes that shall save this world. And Leo... Leo continued to stare with narrowed eyes, anxious of the dangers ahead.
