"You who veil the impure dazzling phantasm, To the loving vertigo of my avid gazes, The visions of the colorless abyss of the void."
Magic Name: Qliphoth: Border-Realm Magic
Magic Type: Primary: Requip // Auxiliary: Caster
Description:
As a Qliphah, Thagirion was created from the primordial darkness that existed before the universe itself was formed. Made as a callous, remorseless being sent out to fight the armies of the light, he was born connected to the original blackness. After he and his kin were beaten and sealed away within a different dimension for millennia, only to find himself awoken in a mortal shell, the connection he had to this primordial shadow has waned, but is still there. By using his magic to draw upon this connection and strengthen it in the process, he can greatly empower himself in the process while being capable of accessing abilities many would consider to be unnatural. One such ability is the one that allows him to learn languages and even foreign magical spells at an alarming rate, meaning he can use them only moments after hearing or seeing them.
It also allows him to summon his former weaponry out of the Qliphoth’s dimension so he can wield them again in the material world. When wielding his old weapons, his combative capabilities exponentially rise beyond what he would normally be capable of. Due to their extraplanar origin, these weapons are intricately interwoven with the Qliphoth’s border realm magic spells, as well as the other magical spells within Thagirion’s possession. For whatever reason, the one responsible for setting Thagirion free was also the one that originally set Solmar upon the path towards finding and utilizing these weapons. As such, his body’s muscle memory is already quite in tune with how exactly these weapons should be used, which is not with brute strength but rather with great physical speed and magical power increasing the overall potency of the twin-blades.
Sharing magical properties with Thagirion, his magics and his home dimension, the blades can warp his spells and utilize them in different ways that fit dual wielding fighting styles. In this way, all of his spells and abilities are truly connected to one another as they come from the same source, each acting as a different branch belonging to the same metaphorical tree.
Downsides:
Though Thagirion can understand, copy and learn spells copied in this way throughout the duration of that thread, they can also be stored in the Qliphoth's own magic. However, for it to be stored in here and be used at his leisure, permission has to be given by the original creator of the spell OOCly and proof of it must be given when adding these spells to the codex. Additionally, the amount of spells he can learn in this way are also restricted by the amount of spell slots Thagirion has on this particular magic and the available ranks. Further information regarding the usage and the weaknesses it posses can be found within the actual spell "Revelation's Fringe".
Spells this magic cannot copy/learn:
- Requip Magic (Cannot copy weapon/armor summons)
- Holder Magic (Cannot copy spells due to lacking the bound item)
- Bond Magic (Cannot copy spells due to lacking the bound creature)
Additionally, all the magic's own spells are consider Caster spells. Requip magic does not benefit from the lost benefits. Spells learned from others will be slotted into the "Stored Spells" spoiler. Permission from the owner will be written underneath the respective spells for easy access.
Unique Abilities:
- Void Conduit: As the original Qliphoth tree was meant to act as a prison to house all of the Qliphah after their fall in battle, it eventually came to act as a bridge between the natural, material world, as well as the primordial void from which the Qliphah spawned. Using this unnatural link to draw upon greater power from the nether realm, it grants Thagirion greater insight into the very nature of magic and ethernano. Spell damage +60%.
- Quick Study: As a result of the Qliphoth's magic and how it stores up magic formulae within a space within the subconscious called a "Codex", Thagirion has been given the unnatural ability to form magical spells much quicker in response to threats. Both in terms of forming these spells and making them go from one point to the next, it makes every single spell he wields that much more dangerous. Elevating it to such heights that some enemies might not even see their deaths coming, it is enough to make even the strongest stay on their toes. Spell Speed +60%.
- Mana Might: Due to the ability to rapidly study foreign spells and add them to his codex, Thagirion requires a great deal of control over his own magic, and an even greater pool of magical power to draw from so as to not tire themselves out. Drawing upon this well of magic for the sake of keeping up and even outpacing others, it also makes copying and using one’s own magics against them possible for an extended period of time. Magic Power +60%.

Description:
Qliphoth: Border-Realm’s most high-ranking spell, it activates either at will or by triggering itself when attacked. By releasing the magic otherwise contained within him, Thagirion creates a zone around him which is saturated with his own magical power, but to a degree in which it does not hinder anyone and is almost completely unnoticeable even to those who are skilled at sensing magical power or ethernano. Whenever a spell is used within this field, it will rapidly figure out the magical make-up of it. Doing so at an alarming rate, Thagirion will then be able to cast this spell as well (see Qliphoth: Border-Realm downsides)(in depth information can only be acquired if OOC permission is given) by copying it. Only capable of using these spells while this spell is active, the first time he casts this copied spell, he will have to pay twice the original cost.
After using it once, he will be able to cast it by just paying the original cost of the spell. Only one spell can be copied per post, that spell has to be H+ rank or lower, and any spell that has been copied once cannot be copied again for it's entire duration. Once fully taken into the codex, spells can be utilized without this particular spell being active as a prerequisite. Additionally, Solmar is capable of responding to threats and other developments much quicker when using Revelation’s Fringe, increasing spell speed by 115%. As a kind of aura effect, it is not mutually exclusive with Thagirion's other spells.
