The Music Man Comes To Play It wasn’t too terribly long since the festival back in Sakuramori had happened. Baird was wondering when he’d see her again. The little beauty he was wooing now. Victoria Sheridan. She wasn’t too flashy of a girl, but she seemed like she could sedate him for a little while at least. He just had to woo her enough. He had ended up in Hosenka and spotted a flyer around the little spa town. He decided to be rather traditional to the area and wore a dark blue yukata as he roamed the streets of the flashy oriental town. His long green hair was pulled back in a loose ponytail, and he let his bangs cover half of his face. Of course, using the ring, he made his Errings Rising Guild Mark disappear from view of others, letting him be free with his roamings, especially now that the guild was starting to make a name for itself. He was reading over the flyer he had found, and snorts. “Pumpkin picking? Shame I never got myself an iLac… Could have seen if Victoria had one and asked her to come here.” He mumbled to himself. It could have been a cute little ‘date’ if he could get her there. If he crashed into her while there, though, he honestly would think he had great luck. Maybe he could get closer to her if he tried. But that would have to wait till he actually met her again to find out. He was making his way towards the entrance of Hosenka to this pumpkin patch, wanting to at least observe the patch. The pumpkins that were to be picked were apparently going to be used in various foods for a Halloween party. He hadn’t had the pleasure of enjoying a party like this before, but there could be a first for everything, right? After taking one look at the patch, and what apparently was going to be the area for the party, Baird had gone back into Hosenka and got himself a paper and something to write with. He had written to Victoria asking if she’d like to come pumpkin picking with him there in Hosenka, and sent the letter through one of the fastest carrier services there in the town. He could only hope the letter got to her, and that she came fast. He had told her he’d be waiting in a little outdoor café near the entrance of the city so she’d be able to find him easily. And so he was in his yukata and was casually sipping some bubble tea. He had to be presentable at least. Words: 439/1500 Tags:@Victoria Sheridan HP: 400/400 MP: 400/400

Re: Pumpkin Treats
Walking into Hosenka for the first time in her career while clutching a travel brochure that included a handy map on the back, Victoria matched the speed of human foot traffic while looking around at the abundance of oriental architecture that surrounded her. According to a brochure she had read about Hosenka a few minutes ago, Hosenka was also known as "Spa Town" due to its abundance of spas for tourists and residents alike to patronize. Victoria was not here to go to the spas or to gawk at the buildings. She was here to meet up with Baird and to participate in a pumpkin picking festival, which sounded self-explanatory but was not something the brunette had ever done before.
Wearing a white Steel Matron t-shirt with the band's name in black letters and a black skirt with white tennis shoes, Victoria was dressed a lot more casually for the event than the locals. In contrast to the brunette, the locals all wore kimonos and other traditional clothing peculiar to the region. She wandered through the town and saw that it was decorated for the occasion with hand-carved jack-o-lanterns sitting on the ground, some people wearing black-and-orange clothing, and paper lanterns shaped like jack-o-lanterns hanging from the entrances of homes and stores. Victoria was not sure where the pumpkin patch that would host the event was, so she walked over to the side of one of Hosenka's numerous spas, stopped at the wall, and consulted the small map printed on the back of the white travel brochure.
It was so small that it was hard to read even with important places being helpfully provided. Victoria grew frustrated and looked at the front of the brochure. That was when she realized that she had made a mistake. It was not the special festival-themed one, but instead an ordinary brochure!
Victoria sighed and folded the little document back up. She jammed it into her side pocket and made for a cafe near the entrance that she had spotted earlier. She wanted some coffee, orange juice, or something before she attended the pumpkin picking event.
After spending the better part of an hour winding through foot traffic, Victoria had found a cafe that she could pick up a drink at. She also felt a magic signature coming from nearby. The brunette looked around and spotted a familiar green-haired man wearing a blue traditional garment and sipping bubbly tea.
"Oh hey Baird! I was looking for you!" Victoria greeted the green-haired dude she had once loathed but had somehow come to tolerate, if not exactly like.

Re: Pumpkin Treats
The Music Man Comes To Play The green haired musician looked up as he heard his name, and smirked to the girl dressed rather casually. “You got my letter?” He questions before he sipped his tea some more. He stood up and leaned in towards her face. “Its a shame I don’t have an iLac, maybe I’ll go off and get one later.” He couldn’t help but muse to her. He held out his hand to grab one of hers, and if she let him grab it, he kissed the back of it as he kept his eyes on her. “Honestly, you look charming, even in casual clothes. Shame that others don’t think the same and like physical looks more.” He pouted a bit to her. That was where his downfall could be sometimes. He liked people in general, and since she was starting to warm up to him, he did find her a little charming. But she was still no Yuiisai to him. “Shall we get going to pumpkin picking?” He held out his elbow for her to grab. If she grabbed hold of his elbow, or linked with it, he’d walk towards the pumpkin patch with her to see about what pumpkins there were. If not, he just walked with her casually. “Should we get a bigger pumpkin? Or a bunch of little ones?” He questions as he thinks for a moment. He could play a cute little tune too while they picked. He had some traditional instruments of Hosenka’s native origins. He could totally play those for some fun around here. He took a couple steps into the patch and paused for a moment. The air felt colder and he felt something was up, that and it was suddenly looking dark. “Of course. Never would a nice date go right.” He frowns as he glances towards Victoria. “I hope it doesn’t rain on us… though, I wouldn’t mind it at the same time.” He couldn’t help but tease her as she was wearing a white shirt. He then glanced up and blinked to the scene before him. It wasn’t going to rain, it was just cloudy, and there was apparently a murder above them. Crows. Plenty of them. And they were just adding on to one another as they went. “Uh….” He takes a deep breath as he summons his saxophone and takes a deep breath. How he felt he could enjoy this day. “Oh, those little fire minions you saw before at the festival. I did control them.” He says before he puts the instrument to his lips and begins to play a swave sounding tune on it. Instantly, he had three fire creatures floating about and positioned in front of them just as some birds started coming down on the two while passerbyers ran back out of the pumpkin patch. The look on Bairds face was calm as he was playing his music. Of course this was basically nothing to him. Words: (490) 929/1500 Tags:@Victoria Sheridan HP: 400/400 MP: 340/400

Re: Pumpkin Treats
"Yeah, I got your letter, Baird. It was pretty easy to spot considering that not too many people use snail mail nowadays." Victoria replied in the affirmative to his question. She received the letter promptly and without issue because Baird's letters was one of the only ones delivered to the Sabertooth guild hall when the mail ran. Reading it was how she knew to meet Baird here for the pumpkin picking festival, but she did not know to meet him at the cafe that they were at now. She heard him muse aloud about obtaining an iLac and had entertained the same thought in the past, but Victoria was not certain whether she wanted to take a sensitive electronic device into the hazardous situations she tended to go into. The biggest downside to the iLac was that according to the manufacturer's rules a mage could only get one iLac ever, so if Victoria's got busted, lost, or stolen, she would be unable to procure a replacement.
The brunette extended her right hand to Baird, who kissed the back of it in a throwback to the "good old days"... whatever those were. She then grabbed Baird's elbow and they linked arms to go find a pumpkin to pick together.
"I don't care what size pumpkin we get, just as long as we get a good one. Or a few good ones. Either way, really." Victoria assured Baird that as long as they got a pumpkin she was not terribly selective about whether they got a few smaller ones or just one big pumpkin. That lack of preference was a holdover from her days on the streets of Capital Crocus, where she had to take what she could get when she could get it because she was far from the only one who wanted clean food, safe water to drink, or a halfway decent place to take shelter. Victoria had more than enough money to buy almost anything she wanted, but she was still trying to get used to freedom of choice instead of having to settle for whatever she could get.
The unlikely duo had taken two steps into the pumpkin patch when he commented on how he would not mind it raining since she was wearing a white shirt. The brunette knew what he was getting at, but surprisingly she was not angry or offended by the comment. Normally she would have been irate at the offender for pointing out her shortcoming, but she was not too upset. Instead Victoria ran with it and made a joke of her own.
"Even if it did rain, you'd probably be disappointed 'cause there's not much there." Victoria joked about her shortcoming with Baird. As the one who had originated the joke with her crude comment back during their first meeting at Silver Moon Inn so many months ago, she had the privilege of poking fun at herself. She was about to make another joke when Baird made a remark about some incoming birds and called out his oddly cute dancing fire minions with his saxophone. Victoria frowned. There were not "some" incoming birds, but a whole lot of them, a murder of crows... literally.
Some of the bystanders ran for cover, giving the brunette the window needed to bring some of her own magic into play. Victoria channeled gray magic into her hands and thrust them outward, firing a Claymore Burst of steel ball bearings at the incoming flock. While the burst hit a good many of them and brought them down, enough of them survived to be a menace; a few of the survivors made a point of flying by her head before zooming around and gaining altitude for a second pass.

Re: Pumpkin Treats
The Music Man Comes To Play The green haired musician smiled as Victoria did confirm that she got his letter. “Plenty of people use snail mail! Not many are still up to date with the times, such as myself. Should have seen how many people were trying to flag the post man.” He snorts to her. He was partially curious about how she liked his handwriting too since half of his music was prided on his flourishing writing, but he’d save that for another time. A small smirk was on the musicians face as the brunette let him kiss her hand. His eyes glanced up to her calmly, boring into her as he studied her face for a moment. When she hooked her arm with his, a satisfied smile was on his face. Her comment on not caring about the size of the pumpkin they got, made him pucker his lips for a moment. He looked around the patch before the dark clouds and chill came over them, noticing a few pumpkins that looks fairly large and nice. After she joked back to his rain joke, Baird looked to Victoria with a smirk, leaning in for a moment. “Funny, you think I care so much as to looks like that. I much prefer the company of someone pleasant in general. And you seem plenty pleasant right now.” He put his free hand on her side, just under her breasts before he had removed himself to summon his saxophone. Baird begun humming one of his songs into the saxophone, and the minions floated to go after the birds. He noticed that Victoria had some birds going after her, and tooted a quick side tune to make one of the fire minions quickly go around her and burn the birds that were trying to come at her again. This whole being nice thing was a pain sometimes. He used his other two fire minions to keep the birds at himself, but one slipped passed and he barely managed to dodge it, but he did get clipped by a claw on his hands. He hissed a bit at the pain. If his hands got too injured, he’d have a hard time playing his instruments himself. He couldn’t have that. His little fire minions attacked some of the birds and burned their wings, making them unable to properly fly around. Baird was attacked from behind, his hair being grabbed and pulled up while another bird came at his neck and stabbed him with its beak. He growled into his sax before he begun furiously belting a tune out and the little fire demons actually went to attack the creatures without issues, letting their fires cover them without issues. The birds could die by burning. The back of his neck was bleeding, and he used one hand to play the sax while he reached back to touch where he got stabbed by the beak. Blood was now on his fingers, but he tried to ignore it and the pain when he brought his hand back to his saxophone. He’d have to polish it when this was over. Buff out the blood that was now staining the beautiful instrument. Most of the birds had been burnt to a near crisp by Bairds little minions, and the crispy, feathery remains, started to pull themselves together towards a central point. They did so till they started to look like a grotesque creature with sharp claws* and feathers poking out of it here and there. Baird makes a face as he wasn’t sure he liked how that looked. He shivered a bit, not even Iceberg made him shiver. This thing was unique, especially with the ghastly screams the brute of a raven monster thing gave off. “M’lady, care to have a whack at it first?” The musician couldn’t help but snicker to Victoria. He’d of liked to let loose, but he had to keep his image up for her.** Words: 654 (571) 1500/1500 * 83 extra ** Tags:@Victoria Sheridan HP: 320/400 MP: 400/400

Re: Pumpkin Treats
The sequence of events from them entering the pumpkin patch to Baird putting a hand under her breasts had been too fast for Victoria to comment on, but she would address that later. Right now the pair needed to fight for their lives if they wanted to act like a dating couple. Baird had been pecked on the back of the neck by one of the crows, but in between Victoria's Claymore Burst, Baird's dancing fire minions, and his fiery saxophone solo, he had gotten his revenge on the angry avians. Victoria noticed that the fallen birds had turned into a shadowy substance that coalesced into a new beast for them to fight, one with stretchable arms and lengthy claws that could shred clothing and flesh with ease. Baird offered the brunette the first crack at taking down the new enemy, an offer which she could not refuse.
Victoria's next concern was picking a decent weapon to use against it. If she were in an open space like a field she would bring out her Grenade Launcher, but she was in Hosenka, which was full of people and houses that were much more fragile than her adversary. Victoria wanted to avoid collateral damage, so she had to pick her weapons and spells with care. Meanwhile, the shadow beast sensibly decided that it was not going to wait around for the brunette to choose a weapon from her vast arsenal and made the first attack. It launched its arms and they wrapped around her waist; it then yanked her off of her feet and lifted her approximately three meters into the air.
Victoria formed her right hand into a gun and shot at its head with a Derringer spell, hitting it just below the left eye. It roared and shook her about to throw off her aim. Victoria focused and gripped the bottom of her right wrist with her left hand, taking aim with a Hand Cannon shot. She fired and hit it in the chest, causing it to roar again and drop her to the ground. The shrieking brunette landed on her back and felt a lot of pain course through her back, but the fight was not over.
The beast rushed in to take advantage of its prey's relative helplessness and stood over her, raising its arms into the air before bringing them crashing down. Victoria dodged the left hand but was grazed on the right arm by the left hand. It continued to attack and draw blood even with three near-misses; Victoria had to act fast unless she wanted to become a one-armed gunslinger.
Raising her hands diagonally and forming them in the shape of a gun, Victoria ignored the pain and focused golden energy into her fingertips before firing a point-blank Beam Cannon into its torso. The beast staggered back six steps with a quarter-sized hole in its abdomen, giving the brunette just enough time and space to get to her feet to better defend herself. It soon recovered and went on the attack, but this time Victoria had made up her mind about what to use.
She waited until it was about ten steps away before focusing golden energy into her hand. Once it was five steps away she punched forward, using a Shockwave Punch since it had power and the least chance of causing collateral damage to her surroundings. The creature was caught in the compressed cone of sound and rushed past her while clutching where its ears would be; now was the time to finish this.
Victoria formed her hands into a gun and focused golden energy into her fingertips, aiming carefully at its head. She then fired a Beam Cannon that pierced its forehead. The beast stood swaying in place before toppling over onto its left side and disintegrating into the substance which it was made of. The substance disappeared for good about fifteen seconds later and Victoria used a Field Hospital spell to heal her gashed arm; the gashes healed over about a minute later, leaving only dried blood as evidence that she had been hurt.
"Well, that was fun. I hope that's the last thing... we have to... fight." Victoria began speaking to Baird but trailed off when she spotted a scarecrow with a scythe not too far to Baird's left. She pointed at it with her right hand.
"Baird, you're up!" Victoria shouted to the green-haired musician.

Re: Pumpkin Treats
The Music Man Comes To Play A smirk was on Baird’s face as he watched Victoria take her next shot at the mutant bird thing that they were currently up against. It seemed absolutely horrendous to him. He was preparing to think up a second spell to use when he just started to watch Victoria do her thing, that was, till it grabbed Victoria by the waste. “Oye! You can’t charm her buddy, that’s my job!” He says as he sends his little fire minions after it. He was playing his saxophone again and glaring at the mutant bird rather angrily. Before he got too far, Victoria had proceeded to shoot at the thing herself! Of course, he should have known. She could take care of herself. But of course, as she was taking care of herself, she got herself let go by hurting it in the chest. He sighs into his saxophone before he debates on what he could do. He wouldn’t exactly be able to reach her in time. “Alright…” He grumbles as he hums a tune into his saxophone, but it actually sounded like words. “Lyre of Life.” He did try jogging over towards where Victoria was, but she had fallen on her back before he could make it. Floating next to him was suddenly a lyre that wasn’t like a typical lyre. The base of the lyre had a skull head and horns guiding the strings to the bar that the horns were attached to. Of course he didn’t care for the grotesque look of the instrument, he liked it in fact. As he played the saxophone, keeping the minions on standby in case she needed assistance, his lyre was playing itself. He was trying to keep steady and not let it falter in the music. This was his first time actually doing any of this after he had been musicless for a good few months. Man, being upset about a loved one can be hard sometimes… He hated it right now. That's why he had gone around to have fun instead originally. He then blinked as he spotted her wounds healing and slumped his shoulders. Did he just waste a spell to try to help her out? He seemed to instantly drop the lyre and closed his eyes for a moment, seeming to also drop the saxophone, both disappearing along with the minions. “I should have known you were pretty capable without me.” He sighs as he runs a hand over his hair. As the brunette before him started to trail off, he turned his head to see what she was pointing at, and snorts. A silly scarecrow with a scythe. That was nothing to him. “Requiem of Angels.” He says while he holds out his own hand. It begun laughing and the musician’s eyes seemed to light up as it came running at him. He quickly swung his own scythe and the two collided with one another. Baird had a rather menacing grin upon his face as he snickered. “Playing games, eh?” He snickers to the other and kicks forward between the two blades and hits the scarecrow. The next moment the scythe was flying all over the place at the musician. Baird was beginning to laugh just as maniacally back at him! His scythe comes down at the scarecrow before the scarecrows own scythe went at his side. Baird quickly reaches another arm and lets his fingers trail over some strings that were hidden between the blade and handle of the scythe and a golden shield suddenly was up around him, protecting him before he jabbed the end of his scythe into the scarecrow. Both of their movements seemed like they weren't planned, swinging around their big weapons wildly. They both were even laughing nearly the same too, but Baird's at least sounded better. Both of them nicked one another with their scythes, actually managing to get some rather deep cuts in there too. Baird didn’t seem too phased by the cuts, and neither did the scarecrow. One reason would be because both of them were acting like madmen, and Baird partially was one. He then swung his scythe and lopped off the head of the scarecrow like it was nothing. Baird smirked as he turned his back on the headless scarecrow, letting his own scythe rest over his shoulder lazily. The musician barely took a few steps before the headless scarecrow seemed to ‘reanimate’ itself and rushed after the green haired musician. Baird kept his smirk on his lips as he quickly gripped his scythe and twisted himself, letting it quickly rip the scarecrow in half. This time, the top half of the scarecrow was basically thrown out of the patch. And the scythe he had landed somewhere away from him. “That wasn’t that much fun.” The crazed look was gone from his face as he held the scythe over his shoulder and sighs. “I just wanted to come to this pumpkin patch to pick pumpkins with a beautiful girl… but here I am, fighting ugly beasts.” He runs his hand through his hair, seeming like he was oblivious to what was going on behind him. Re: Pumpkin Treats
"Nice job defeating the scarecrow, Baird. Now let me patch you up before something else shows up wanting a piece of us." Victoria said to Baird, slowly walking over to the green-haired musician due to lingering back pain left over from the three-meter fall she had sustained. She did a brief examination of his wounds and saw that he had a lot of gashes all over his arms and back from the fights with the shadow beast and the scythe-wielding scarecrow. Maybe she should have taken the lead against the sinister strawman, but Baird did well for himself to not only fend off the enemy, but to win against it as well.
Victoria formed a ball of golden energy in her hand and examined Baird more closely with her special ability. He needed some serious healing, so she would use her strongest healing spell, Field Hospital. She would also pour more magic into it so that she got the most out of the spell. Victoria closed her eyes and her entire body began to glow gold, which would make her a beacon for any threats lurking beyond the pumpkin patch. After about ten seconds of charging the spell she cast Field Hospital on Baird, healing him for a good amount and inducing his numerous wounds to close up just as a sinister black fog rolled in over the pumpkin patch and engulfed the pair in a cloud of choking fog.
After fifteen seconds the fog vanished, leaving behind a mist and the orange glow of a lantern drawing closer to them. Victoria thought that it was a Hosenka town guardsman coming to look for people in the patch and bring them to safety, but she noticed that the lantern bearer was a floating person in a black robe with a grinning pumpkin for a head. Great.
"Well, looks like break time's over." Victoria commented to Baird before putting her hands together and preparing a Beam Cannon spell. The pumpkin-headed thing laughed at her as the spell reached completion, but Victoria fired the first shot and hit it in the chest with the golden beam. It lurched back and glared at her in a way that instantly communicated anger despite its face being fixed in a perpetual smile. It drew its free hand back and cast a ball of inky black energy her way.
Victoria brought up a Caduceus Shield and anticipated that the projectile would simply disintegrate on impact, but to her surprise the projectile broke through the golden half-dome and hit her in the chest, knocking her back about eleven steps and making her fight to keep her balance. It laughed and darted over to her with claws coming down to rake her face, but the brunette ducked under the attack and came up swinging with a golden fist that released a Shockwave Punch that hit it point-blank. It laughed again and clawed at her face, but she stepped back and brought out her Submachine Gun for a powerful close-range attack.
It flung another energy ball and Victoria ducked, then it darted forward as she stood up and slammed her in the face with its lantern, the hot glass turning her face bright red and causing her to shut her left eye.
"That's it, asshole. No more games." Victoria snarked. She dodged under another claw swipe and popped up, jamming her Submachine Gun against its chest and using an Empty The Magazine to fire twenty rounds into it in about three seconds. It lurched back and Victoria dispelled the "empty" weapon to bring in a personal favorite, her Light Machine Gun.
The angry brunette aimed the bulky weapon at its chest and fired a Five-Round Burst that it dodged by veering left while laughing at her. It rushed straight for her and swung its claws followed by a second lantern swing; both attacks were aimed at her face. She dodged the claws with a timely duck but was struck on the left side of the face with the lantern, receiving another burn and tumbling to the ground without her weapon.
The pumpkin laughed and floated towards her as she readied a Derringer spell. When it was ten paces away she fired and hit it to the right of its mouth. It bellowed in pain and rushed again with its claws extended and Victoria grabbed her Light Machine Gun and leveled it at its head. This was it.
Victoria held down the trigger and watched pumpkin flakes be torn off of its head as it ignored the rounds tearing into it and closed with her for one last-ditch attack. The pumpkin swung its lantern into the LMG barrel and she felt her weapon knocked out of her hand before it followed up with claws that tore into her left forearm.
Victoria dropped to her knees and powered another Beam Cannon while the pumpkin lurched back with the right side of its glass lantern broken and its face leaking vegetable matter. Her hands were shaking and her vision was blurry... its claws had to have been poisoned, but it did not matter. The one-eyed gunslinger aimed her shaking hands at its head and fired, scoring a hit between its eyes. It raised its hands to the sky and shrieked before vanishing, hopefully for good.
Victoria dispelled the LMG and stood up, healing herself with a Field Hospital spell that healed her facial wounds and her wounded left forearm. She then cast another to remove the poison from her body in case yet another enemy showed up. However, this time it felt like they were in the clear.
"Hey Baird, do you still want to pick a pumpkin or have you had enough fun for one night?" A weary Victoria asked him.

Re: Pumpkin Treats
The Music Man Comes To Play When Victoria had come up and started to heal him, Baird was honestly speechless. No one had been nice enough even attempt to heal him before. He felt his cheeks burn as he glanced away from her. He felt embarrassed a bit that she was doing this for him. “Thanks…” He mutters as he stayed still for her to heal him. “The scarecrow wasn’t nothing too bad to deal with.” He huffed just before she finished healing him. He shivered a bit when he felt the magic wash over him, but he couldn’t help but think she looked cute glowing like a lightbulb though. A snicker escaped his lips as he leaned in and kissed her cheek. “Thank you for healing me, dearie… I’ll think of some way to repay you later.” His voice was low and husky as he lingered close to her face before he pulled away from her and noticed the fog. When the fog rolled away, and the lantern was visible, Baird blinked to the figure holding the lantern. That wasn’t something one sees all the time. “There was a break?” He snorts as he watched Victoria go after the pumpkin guy. He watched her fight, and made a face when she got smacked with that lantern after she seemed to make a shield of sorts. “Ey! Don’t be ruining her pretty face!” He calls out to the creature, but it didn’t seem like he was able to do much. Honestly, he wanted in to help her out, but she seemed to also have the majority of it handled well on her own. Even if the thing was beating her up. He cautiously watched his partner as she fought this ghost pumpkin guy. Honestly, he enjoyed watching her fight it if he sat back and watched carefully. “Oh? You were playing before? Damn, someone’s bringing sexy back now!” Baird snickered to the brunette as he turned his scythe upside down to lean against it. He had gingerly placed a foot on the blade and used that to help prop him up while he watched the destruction Victoria brought down upon this monstrosity of a guy. He was still debating on healing her or not, till she completely destroyed the beast. She managed to heal herself afterwards, and he snickered as he rolled on the blade of the scythe before twirling it back and letting it rest over both of his shoulders. He casually walked up towards Victoria, and leaned in to her face once he was just inches from her. “Well… I don’t think I’ve had enough fun. Was hoping for a little more fun, but I saw a bunch of little cute pumpkins over by the entrance… Maybe we could pick those, then maybe go off to one of the private spas here? Hmm?” He muses to her while he reached a hand forward to grab her chin. If she let him, he kissed it gingerly. If she didn’t let him touch her, he stuck he tongue out playfully. “Or we can… save it for another day?” He gave her a charming smirk before he winked to her. Re: Pumpkin Treats
Victoria's face was still hurting from being hit with the lantern wielded by that floating pumpkin thing, but her Field Hospital spell had healed the physical injury left from the impact, leaving only the burning. The burning sensation left from contact with the hot glass was a lot worse than the blunt force of being hit in the face with a glass lantern. Her left forearm was the site of a double dose of pain from being clawed and from the poison left in the wound, but her healing magic had removed the poison before it could do much worse than cause her vision to blur a bit. All in all the brunette had gotten off lightly compared to Baird and his shredded clothing.
Baird expressed an interest in picking a couple of pumpkins so that they did what they came out here to do, then pay a visit to one of the numerous spas that Hosenka was renowned for. He was a cheeky guy for suggesting a visit to the spa, but she had figured that the moment they had met at Silver Moon Inn so long ago. Victoria could not blame him for not wanting to leave empty-handed... after all the fighting that they had went through just to get to this point she too wanted a pumpkin, if only to say that she had picked one.
"Eh, why not? After all we went through, I want a pumpkin to take home. We'll grab those pumpkins, then we'll go to a spa." Victoria agreed with Baird's request, allowing him to touch her chin. Even though she had detested the green-haired musician for numerous reasons only months before, she had found herself able to have cordial interactions with him. Something about the situation felt strange and she could not put her finger on what it was. Whatever it was that made things feel strange, Victoria did not want to rock the boat unless she had to, so she would see how far things between them went.
