Residing in the enchanting light blue heavens far over the heads of most mortals, the bright and golden orb known as the sun had started its trek through the skies overhead before it settled in the heart of the horizon. Its current location signaled to the inhabitants of Earthland that it was now midday. Scattered across the peaceful atmosphere was fluffy snow-white clouds which were reminiscent of large volumes of sweet cotton candy. A gentle breeze wafted through the air and carried bits and pieces of the pollen released by the few winter flowers. Blades of grass that possessed a variety of different hues due to the changing season danced in the wind. Within the isolated village which had no problems from dark guilds due to its remote location, the local inhabitants of Peace Village had begun to go about their day to day activities. These activities ranged from tending animals, operating a meager store, or tilling the soil.

The children of the village ran around in the hamlet's road and played a variety of different pastimes. Some of the games they played had inklings of magic within them such as seeing who could run the fasts using wind magic. While others simply played tag or hide and seek. However, out of the village's youth, there was a lone child who waited on the outskirts of the village pacing back and forth in a more erratic fashion - almost in a panic. This lone child, a young girl, was almost on the verge of tears as she continued to look for someone or something. The female had long flowing hair which reached past her shoulders, dark hazel brown eyes, and pale complexioned skin. These features made her resemble an individual of Midi descent. From her height, a person would guess that she was around eight to nine years old. She wore a light pink yukata which had a few cherry blossoms scattered across it that her grandmother had given her. "Where is she? Where is she?" The child muttered herself as she continued to scurry about in a pace-like manner.

It was on the horizon the young girl ended up spotting the silhouette of a figure coming toward the village and smiled brightly. "Flora! Flora!" She shouted. The young female child ran as fast as her feet could carry her. Her mind focused on a single objective had caused her not to pay attention to the fact the person entering the village was a completely different person. First of all, the person she ran into was dressed in a different fashion. She was adorned with a dark red robe with a broad hood. Her hair which could be seen peeking out from the hood was a beautiful silver. The child crashed into the new person and stumbled back onto her feet. She landed right on her bottom with a bit of a thud. "Ow... Flora! My grandmother!" She said looking up and finally realized this was a different person. "I am sorry!" She shouted standing back up to her feet rather quickly and bowing in a bit of panicked haste. The child was obvious uninjured from the collision.

The early morning had welcomed her on her journey, which she had settled for only last night. Rumors of a potent healer residing along the edges of Peace Village, aiding the villagers, the weak and poor, while at the same time protecting the forests that bordered to the small area of civilization with reckless abandon. The way Kenna had heard the rumors, this healer seemed more like a modern-day Robin Hood, minus the stealing. But it had gotten the demoness interested beyond measure… of whether this healer was merely a myth, or whether it was an actual person performing all these miracles. For if it was a person, she'd surely wish to find out more about them, and if possible maybe even recruit them to her cause. To Sabertooth.

It was for that reason that the demoness had set out in the middle of the night, plagued by memories and thoughts that had willed her out of her sleep, but into a constant spiral of what to do next. She could've waited till morning to start her travels. Likewise she could've also asked Avide to take her there, or to go there by using her own wings. But she hadn't. Something told her that doing so would not aid her cause this time around. So Kenna had gone on foot, and found herself having covered more than half of the distance by the time the sun started setting. Having the break of dawn’s first rays cover her back with a tingling sensation, its warmth an encouragement to keep on going. The demoness could still not apprehend how reinvigorating the mere sun could be upon her skin; frankly, she wasn't sure whether this was due to the fact she was a fire dragon slayer, or due to the cursed seal her father had placed upon her. This seal was both her family’s sigil, as well as the link between her and the element of fire itself. The later was only a secret known to the Calanthe di Endovier Imperial family, or to those having made similar acts with the element of fire. The first, her family's sigil was known by all those who knew the late Demon Emperor of the South. It was her tag; her allies would recognise it and rally to her, like her enemies would set out to kill and end her bloodline for good.

But that was water under the bridge and of no concern at this point. What was was this Healer's myth, and the fact that at the horizon Peace Village had surfaced. Soon she'd come to know more about the matter from its actual source. Soon-- huh? Kenna looked up when she heard the fast-approaching pattering of feet onto the gravel road, enhanced by her slayer hearing she noticed it well before the child came crashing into her at seemingly full speed, shouting a name not her own. The demoness startled as the child bounced off of her and fell unto the ground, and was about to extend her hand to help her back up when the young girl did so herself, mentioning her grandmother as she kept on calling her 'Flora'. When the girl finally realised she hadn't approached this Flora, but someone entirely different, she quickly apologized. The demoness, worried about the child despite her looking unharmed by the collision, undid her hood and lowered herself to the child's height. Her hand carefully extended to hold the child's hand. "It's alright, little one, don't you worry. But rather, are you okay? You came crashing rather hard...?" Kenna asked, to which the young girl nodded quickly. "I'm sorry for bumping into you, I thought you were Flora..."

The child seemed to stifle a whimper, having the demoness on even higher alert. "Looks like you really need this Flora... is she someone from within the village?" The girl shook her head. "No Miss, Flora lives in the forest! She visits the town every so often, and she was supposed to visit today, but..." The child grew silent again, having Kenna to guess the obvious. "She hasn't come yet, has she...? Why do you need her so badly, little one?" Is something wrong?" she asked curiously, watching how the child hesitated for a short moment, as if contemplating whether the woman before her was trust-worthy. But it seemed like she soon made up her mind, and nodded. "My grandmother isn't feeling well, she's been having a fever for several days now and it won't get better... Flora knows what to do when this happens... but she... I can't-" Tears had been lingering in the child's eyes, and as soon as they broke through and rolled down her face, Kenna shot forth, pulling the girl into a gentle, soothing embrace. The small arms wrapped itself around her, leaving the demoness to whisper soothing words until her sobbing had died down again into a soft whimpering.

Kenna pulled back slowly, looking the child in the eyes as she wiped a single tear from her cheek and smiled reassuringly. "Tell me your name, little one." "Haru..." Her hands grasped the smaller ones and held them in front of her. "I'm Kenna," the white-haired woman said with a gentle smile. "And I will help you find Flora, but only if you promise me to go to your grandmother and watch over her until I get back. Can you promise me that, Haru?" Haru nodded fiercely, and quickly told the Sabertooth Ace how she could recognise the woman named Flora, and where to go look for her. Kenna nodded in understanding. "Then allow me; I'll tell Flora that Haru needs her in the village, and bring her back right away." she ruffled the girl's hair and stood back up, turning towards the forest that edged to the village several hundreds of meters away from her. "Now go to your grandmother, Haru. I'll take care of the rest, I promise." And with it, Kenna stepped back and allowed her fiery wings to erupt behind her, wasting no time as they propelled her into the air. Only a few beats were needed to get her high above the forest, where she dispersed the wings and allowed herself to drop down, into the green sea that was the crown of the forest below.

The enchanting and harmonious ringing of the early morning lavender Bellflowers had awakened the young adult were-alraune and greeted her on this brand new day. Flora stood up from the lush green patch of grass she had fallen asleep on. "Good morning, Bell and Bella," Flora greeted her flower friends in a somewhat sleepy tone before she made her way to the heart of the fey-touched wood. At the center of the fey-touched wood, there was a crystal clear spring that remained pure of any defilements due to the water fairies and nymphs which lived in it and around it. "Good morning, everyone," Flora greeted the different creatures that were around the fountain this morning. "Good morning, Flora," A few of the nymphs and fairies waved at her from the spring. Flora made her way into the pool and began to wash off a bit. Then, she went to her little home in one of the nearby trees and grabbed a few of her items. Today, she had planned on planting a few perennials on the Green Grove's edge.

Feeling the soft and fertile brown dirt between her fingers and in her fingertips, Flora had started to evacuate a bit of the surrounding ground with her bare hands to plant a few of her favorite seasonal flowers on the edge of the fey-touched grove. While she more than capable of growing flowers or any other plants whenever wished through the act of magic, there was a certain je ne sais quoi factor of growing them with her own hands. Flora then felt the warm breeze blow through her hair and brush against her unclothed form. She closed her rose-red eyes and basked in the euphoric feeling a bit more. There was nothing more enjoyable in this world to her than being surrounded by nature and tending to her flowers.

With the fertile brown soil now fully worked by her own two hands, Flora produced a few seeds from the small pouch she had been offered by one of the random people who had traveled to The Green Grove and got lost with the enchanted forest. She pushed the flower seeds in the soft earth and covered them up completely before she pulled out a small water jug that she had made from a dried calabash. She allowed a gentle flow of water to leave from the opening of the gourd and land on the freshly planted seeds. The seeds were now planted and watered which caused an elated smile to come across Flora’s face as she looked up toward the beautiful blue sky.

Quickly, her bright smile was replaced by a terrified open mouth as she witnessed an individual flying overhead through the use of firey wings toward the fey-touched grove. Flora was overcome by an instinctual fear of seeing the fire and the individual she associated with such magic. She screamed out in fear but not a word or a sound left her mouth while she fell back and tried to get herself up to her feet. Flora fell a couple of times but finally was able to get up to her feet and fled deep into the forest in an attempt to get as much distance between her and this new individual come near her with her that horrible and terrifying red blaze.

One of the more impish and roguish nature fairies were fluttering through the air and heading toward the edge of the Green Grove when she met Flora, who was still dashing in fear of her life. "Good morning, Flora," the fairy attempted to approach the were-alraune who was in full panic mode. "Rude," the fairy muttered to herself as she looked in the direction Flora had come from with a haughty smirk on her face. Flora was normally this composed person who wasn't easily frightened. So she could potentially use this to have a ton of fun later on. With the plan thought out in her head, the fairy made her way to the edge to and looked a bit confused. She didn't see anything really scary that would make Flora run away. "Hmm... what could have made Flora run away like that?" The fairy muttered in a semi-loud tone.  She was no bigger than 15 centimeters and wore a dress made of sewed leaves. Her hair and her eyes were a light green. It was then she heard a few branches break and a person land behind her. The sound made the fairy hover high into the air for a moment until she realized what had fallen into the fey-touched forest. She hovered near the sound and saw a person land on the ground. The fairy prepared to put on her best cute routine. "Hi!" She said happily. "My name is Amarante. Welcome to Green Grove, my new friend~ What brings you falling from the sky to our forest today?"

It hadn't taken long for the slayer to realise the error of her ways midway her fall. Like it had hit her clear as day she might've done better soaring closer to the treetops, if only to lessen her fall a little, but alas. She'd decided to cease her spell way up high, where her fire couldn't reach Mother Nature's creation in any single way… only disadvantage to that however being that by remaining stubborn and not to reignite her flames, she'd be dealing with the branches to slow down her descent. And how it did. Her body sunk through the leaves as if it were mere water, and if not to say as such nearly crashed head first into the sturdy tree trunk. A few lashing twigs taught her to protect her face, but left her with little other means to redirect her fall into a better situation.

Extending her hands to take hold of a thick branch Kenna managed to grab ahold of it, her fingers tightening around it like an iron grip. She twisted, swinging herself further down, and repeated the same gesture until she had diverted her descend from a vertical one to a diagonal one. A smile snuck unto her face as she started getting the hang of it, and could feel herself curse when the branch she'd taken hold of tore away under the weight and velocity. The sudden feeling of weightlessness budding within her stomach was like an omen; the sign she'd made a mistake right then and there. And as her head smashed into an entirely different branch rather uncomfortably hard, she knew. Moments later Kenna crashed into the ground, letting out a gasp of pain as the air was forced out of her lungs, leaving her to cringe in pain as her chest heaved heavily, desperate for the oxygen it was now lacking. It took her a few moments more before the stinging pain in her chest faded into a dull one, a deep grunt escaping her body.

”I'm so not doing that again, ugh…” she groaned, touching the bump on her forehead that had started throbbing menacingly. That would become a massive bruise later on. The demoness sat upright and checked whether all her other limbs were undamaged after the fall, only to be startled by a high-pitched voice speaking up almost right behind her. Her fists clenched as per her instincts when she turned around, only to stop their movement a split-second later when she noticed who it was talking to her. Or rather, what. The embers that flickered around her fist faded away as she lowered her arm, raising an eyebrow at the small fairy. ”A fairy…? Well, I guess it's not that strange, considering. she thought to herself, hearing how it introduced herself as Amarante. Kenna nodded, and winced almost immediately after. Nodding was a bad idea with this headache. ”A good day to you too, Amarante… and bad ideas made me fall down from the sky. The name's Kenna-- nghh The demoness grunted softly as the pain shot through her forehead. ”Kenna Terrynhain, of Sabertooth…. and I'm looking for a woman named Flora. Haru sent me.” she said, slowly getting back on her feet. Honestly she found it best to leave out the part where she should mention she was one of Sabertooth's aces. Because in reality this wasn't a situation that would do her any good right now. ‘Ace of Sabertooth dives head-first into a tree’ wasn’t something she wished to put on her resumé after all. ”Do you by any chance know her? Or when I can find her? It's rather urgent.”

Beating her clear transparent wings at a breakneck pace, Amarante hovered in front of her new guest with a glimmer of impish curiosity in her eyes while she listened to Kenna tell her how she ended up falling from the sky and why she was in the Green Grove on this particular day. It wasn’t uncommon for people to venture into the fey-touched grove either to sate their own curiosity about the land or to seek out Flora. Of course, the latter didn’t happen very often since most people who knew Flora heeded her advice about staying to the outer circle of the Green Grove.  But, it did lead to her having a bit of fun when they didn’t listen or sent other people in their place. “Ahh.. A bad idea cause you to fall from the sky? But, I see… If a person from outside of the forest sent you here, then you must be in need of Flora’s talents. Well, Flora was here a moment ago. I am sure you heard her high-pitched screaming earlier. So… more than likely, she has ran deep inside of the woods back to her home to hide. However, I am surprised, Flora is generally so aloof that it seems like she doesn’t experience fear.” Armanate muttered the last part to herself as she began to realize a few things before she looked at the young woman.

    “But… I can help!”
A bit more pep was in her voice. “I know where Flora lives and how to get through the forest~” She started to hover around the Sabertooth guild member. “It wouldn’t be good for a.. Sabertooth… person to bump into more trees.” There was a bit of impish malice in those last words. It was still a bit funny to her that a person would end up crashing down the forest from the sky. She started to hover toward one of the trees. “Follow me.” With those words, the fairy began to fly toward the inner rings of  the forest expecting Kenna to follow behind her. After all, the fairy could tell there was something wrong from the way Kenna said it was something urgent and such.  Around five minutes would pass by and with a smirk still plastered on her face, the fae continued to led Kenna until they reached a clearing of the forest where there was a pile of rocks rocks positioned in an odd fashion. It wasn’t the fact that they looked odd visually. It was more to the point that it was unnatural for there to be a group of large rocks to be piled in such a way. The fairy flew to the other side of the clearing. “Come on, Kenna.” She told her.

The moment that Kenna entered this particular clearing of the Green Grove, the rocks and the earth would start to rumble and shake while ethernano in the air became much more condensed as if someone or something was drawing in the magical energies of the world. The rocks bounded together with a loud slam and in an instant they formed a large five meter golem made of solid rock, earth, and trees. A face formed on  the top boulder and the creature looked down at Kenna. It was quite obvious the creature had seen her as a threat as if it could sense her demonic energies at a glance. “Oh… I thought something was off about her… She reeked of dark energy…” Amarante thought to herself, but she knew that already. It was the reason she had chose this path.
