Amalie and Sivvy began making short work of the seemingly resurrected bird creatures that were dotted around the pumpkin patch, shifting their attention onto the three mages, although evidently without much effect. His fellow Ambassador tore them apart like a sheet of paper while the Commander gunned one of them down, Johann facing his own version of the burly avian creature. The undead drew its arms back, throwing it's two clawed hands forward at the silver-haired Rune Mage, who intercepted the creature's clawed hands with his own. Interlocked in a power struggle for a brief few seconds, the creature and the man pushed against each other before finally, the man dashed forward, slamming his knee into the the undead's torso, breaking its grapple, before spinning around, sending it flying with a swift, powerful kick that slammed into its side, several pumpkins turned into pumpkin mash as it crashed into the ground of the patch.
"I'm afraid this is not a dream, Sivvy", he said idly, wiping the dirt from one of his white gloves. The next one wouldn't let the Ambassador wait too long, either. The bird creature stomped forward, charging straight at the man. For all the apparent strength these undead monstrosities possessed, intelligence didn't seem to be their strong suit, the creature attempting a rather simple strike. At blinding speed, Joh maneuvered around the creature, using its shoulders to lift himself up and grab its neck. In a moment, the runes on his hand surged with magical power, delivering a massive electric jolt, arches of energy surging across its form before it collapsed forward, strings of smoke and steam rising from it's now fried and dead-once-more corpse.
It seemed like between the three of them, they had swiftly ended the creatures.
"I don't think that this is natural. Something strange is happening here". And sure enough, as soon as he had said those words, he felt the air turn colder once more, and the sky darken even more than before, looking up and letting his gaze wander for a few seconds before bringing it down once again.
"Have these always been here?", the man asked with inquisitive voice, pointing towards a group of scarecrows off to the side of the pumpkin patch that seemed ... eerily out of place. Wait, did that scarecrow just move?
"Uh ... I don't mean to alarm you, but ...", he began, but it was evident he didn't need to elaborate it any further. The scarecrows sprang to life suddenly and without much warning, cackling with bone-chilling, raspy voices. Coincidentally, there seemed to be one scarecrow for each of the mages, and they didn't appear to be all too friendly either, summoning jagged scythes to their sides before rushing forward at them without any second thought or delay.
Instinctively, Johann reached for the rapier sheathed on his belt, drawing the weapon reflexively, blocking the wide swing of the scythe with his own blades, sparks sent flying as metal clashed with metal. It was obvious that someone, or something, seemed to have it out for them. These creatures, these paranormal phenomena, were most definitively not normal. Whatever they were, though ... the mages couldn't let them escape, lest they hurt any unaffiliated others. Throwing the blade upwards, Johann put considerable force into the swing, sending the scythe flying and disarming the scarecrows before raking the sword through its torso, cutting it clean in half.
