It had not been all that long since her successful mission with Janet and already the metal dragon slayer was once again on the job. She had received a message from the guild master which asked for her aid and she had loyally accepted the task without much thought although she was uncertain about whether she would get along with the natives. They were a rather primal people and given her lack of emotions and robotic personality, she did wonder if perhaps there would be a slight issue. As it would turn out, there was no reason for her to be concerned and after seeing a brief example of her handy work, they had gladly sent her off to complete two separate tasks. One to hunt for food and another to keep an eye out for any possible predators in the area. It made more sense than having her try to help out with the building of their new home so she had agreed.
The jungle was as hot and sticky as ever and Menka had decided to dress as the natives did, as in, she was not wearing a great deal at all. Enough to cover her most sensitive spots but other than that, not a lot. It certainly made trekking through the brush easier and it was not as if she was embarrassed by being seen in such a way. It made no difference to her at all and reminded her of her first day in the guild and her encounter with Lily. However, she found the hunt for food to be quite a slog in truth and for quite some time, Menka did not have all that much luck and it was only when she came out to the edge of a lake that she finally was able to spot something and unfortunately for her, it seemed to have already noticed her or to be more accurate, them.
Starting to come out of the water would be three large crocodiles, hungrily looking at her with large bulbous eyes. The slayer would take a step back and allow them to actually group them, feeling that it was the simplest and most effective way of dealing with them. They would stalk her menacingly for a minute or so, not one of them moving and standing side to side, before they would all charge forward, wanting to devour the woman where she stood. Calmly, Menka would begin to spin and say, "Spines Of The Metal Dragon," releasing a large barrage of metal shards which would soon fly in all directions, peppering the crocodiles and puncturing through their touch scales. Howling with rage, one would come forwards, only to be caught with a vicious punt from the mage, knocking it backwards and in to the water. The other two, noticing their unconscious partner would then dive back in to the water and devour it, deciding that they would be a much easier meal that the slayer. It was nature at its finest and the purple haired woman would leave them to their meal, continuing along the edge of the lake.
About ten minutes would pass or so before she would come across another creature although fortunately, she was able to spot it first, before it saw her. Standing in the shallowest part of the lake, would be a massive beast, easily three or four times her height with a powerful set of jaws although also having a very short pair of stubby arms. It was a reptile but unlike the crocodiles, it stood on two legs and as it caught her scent, a powerful roar would erupt from it. A dinosaur, an animal that the natives had warned her about although judging from the size of it, had more than enough meat on it to feed the natives for a while. That thought was enough for her to decide to engage it in battle although by the sounds of it, the choice was not truly hers to make.
Taking the initiative, she would sprint forwards towards the beast and say, her metallic voice as calm as ever, "Claws Of The Metal Dragon," causing a pair of metal blades to burst from her hands. The beast would lunge forward, opening its enormous jaws to try and bite her but she was swift enough to dodge it, lashing out and scratching it on the side of its head, causing it to howl in pain. She would then use the momentum to catch a slight blow on its left leg as well, her attacks being accurate but painful, causing reptilian blood to fly in all directions. Lashing out with its tail, the beast would swing around and catch her with a powerful swipe that would knock her backwards, sending her to the floor in a heap.
With a growl, it would sprint towards her again, attempting to just crush her underfoot but Menka would be able to roll out of the way and kip up, landing back on her feet, ready to continue the fight. She would dismiss her claws and say,"Chains Of The Metal Dragon," summoning a large grey chain that she would hurl towards the beast, which would catch the beast around its neck and tighten, making an almost collar and leash effect around the creature. Using her formidable physical strength, Menka would pull with all her might, trying to suffocate the beast but it was canny enough to take the chain in its jaws and swing her around instead, before launching her upwards, sending the slayer flying.
That would turn out to be a fatal mistake because as the slayer came down again, she would utter, "Blade Of The Metal Dragon," which would create a chainsaw like weapon on her arm. A weapon that she would implant in to the skull of the dinosaur beneath her, sending blood and brain matter absolutely everywhere and finishing off the beast. Roaring in pain and anguish, it would collapse to the floor, before moving no longer, dead.
Landing rather awkwardly on top of the body, Menka would take a moment to rest, before performing what must of been the strangest bird call in history, her metal tone completely making a mess of it. However, it did the job effectively and after a few moments, she would be surrounded by half a dozen of her fellow hunters, who praised her for her work, before starting to cut the dragon up, in order to make it easier to transport back to the Amazon's new home. When Menka offered to assist, they would shake their heads but were more than thankful for her help, leaving the slayer to make the trek back to the guild, her mission having been accomplished.
