Dawn's parents were a married couple who resided in the Capital. Her father, was a higher-ranking member of the Rune knights. He was well respected and was well known during his time. Her mother, a housewife. Although, there was 1 person working in the household, their finances were stable due to her father's position.
There isn't much about Dawn's parents that they shared to others, but the two were said to come from very bad households. Which in turn caused them to find each other. Even so, Dawn's father was the more twisted one as his job caused him to occasionally kill or see things that weren’t so positive. He was warped and became even more warped. He was smart, however, his comrades were aware of his anger issues. But they didn't realize how much he....inflicted it onto others per say.
Now, this was a trend on very personal relationships, not on people in the Rune Knights. Though people were very quite aware of the man getting angry. But this was more so at himself than people. He used this energy on the battlefield.
This was not in a killer sadistic way. It was more of him....letting his frustrations out on others hoping things could change(in that moment of release) for him and the poor soul(his wife). Or as a way of punishment hoping to better the poor soul(his daughter).
This daughter was Dawn Armstrong.
Dawn's mother died at childbirth, and her father always remembered this and held it against the child. Of course he knew this was a crazy thought, and hence always kept it private for the most part. Dawn's father was two-faced. He had one side he showed to the world of the Rune Knights and one to her.
And she shared this strange way of warped thinking and emotional instability. TO A DEGREE. Dawn wanted to please her father and make him happy. You'd think this would make her a masochist or possibly,, but it didn't. Instead it'd made her have emotionally unstable characteristics and slightly insane. Moody likely, depressed at times.
Either way....
She started to have an obsession with combat and winning just like her father. Her father would beat her, if he didn't do something the way he liked during training or because he made a mistake or she did instead. So, in a sense to avoid this, she'd work harder to please him. She began to have anger issues as she got older and became a bit of a loner. She'd get terribly angry with herself.
Dawn would grow up in a well to do household. She went to school, but was an outcast due to her mean personality and being easy to pick on.
One day, Dawn had walked to his room. He wasn’t answering from downstairs. She needed to make sure he was ok, but had just thought he was in a deep sleep of some sort. She’d drop to her knees.
So she left the medics confused.
He had written a suicide letter to her and the Rune Knights. He’d diss them both distastefully. She blamed everything on her and she felt the pain. She felt awful. She had no words.
Her father had disowned her completely. Sickened.
Many Rune Knights showed up to her father’s funeral due to his longevity of being in the guild. But in the back of their minds they knew he was sick.
Afterwards, she left the town and found herself wandering around aimlessly. Sobbing. What had she worked for? What would she do now? How could she please her father? But then she realized.
He was no father.
Everything to her now was a lie.
And now was searching for a purpose. Something to do. Something to look forward to. But she had found, nothing.
