Far from home, yet still somehow it felt as though no matter how far one got from their own home land that they could never truly escape it. But perhaps that was left down to the sole persons own feelings on their path of life choices among the tree of life sprouted and what branches grew from them. Some sickly and full of putrid ideals and motives, while others flourish with purity and life to last for a long time. Still, each tree has one sense of a "wilting branch" in which they can't get rid of, or even to say they couldn't remove them was a bit of an understatement. Regardless, when one wants to be as far away from where they grew up in, they were either running to escape or to hide... and sadly this had been something of a concoction of both. Just a woman whom sought out a new life with no connections to her life. Willing to cross any boundary to do so, jump through any hoop. Whatever it took to just get away was something she strived for.

What brought her here were started as rumors. Nothing too significant, but the bits and pieces had her curiosity and with nothing to her name, she needed to plant the roots for her new tree of life. Rumors run of a guild whom didn't lock themselves to being the teachers pet of law and order, but more of a place that wanted to eradicate that? Something to stand as a beacon to someone like the bounty hunters prowess of a career to be pushed forward for? It sounded like a great place to begin-- if they would accept her. And of course, nothing could be gained by sending some half assed letter of admission. No. If you wanted a job done, you had to get off your ass and do it yourself, and if anyone were to live by a code like that, it would be Mianala. The green haired elf hidden under a rather mysterious, but odd looking cloak none the less. The woman could not really see as to why a place like this would be so isolated, but the peace and quiet of everyday urban life would drive her insane... so there was already a plus one to wanting to join on top of the code she could piece together. Of course, the whole story was nothing like she thought, but the curiosity was always something that got the better of her.

The walk was slightly killer, considering the elven woman wore no shoes. Rather the leggings she wore wrapped around the center of her foot, but left the front from the ball to her toes bare as well as the heel of her foot. So as the door had opened and she began to enter, the sound of light pitter patter like sounds would fill an empty, silent hall if it stood to be so. She was cautious though... Even if it were empty, she had no real clue if these were a paranoid bunch that would aim down sights of guns, magic missiles, bows and what not in retaliation to a surprise guest, but here Mia was. The door would shut behind her and not a word spoken yet. Eyes peered around the room, firstly picking out good vantage points for things like ranged attackers and generally good lounging points if she didn't want to be bothered. She pulled the hood of her cloak down, showing off the rest of her head to show her hair pulled back and leading to a small slit that would lead to the rest of her length of green hair braided in a single form down her back. Her clothing, while not overly provocative, were also far from being formal or even normally appropriate attire for a job interview. She dressed for the job, not for looks. "Hello? Is anyone around?" Her voice came out soft, hints of hesitation in wanting to, but there was no sense in coming if she didn't have the nerve to gain more information.

It was a relatively normal day on the island off the coast of Minstrel, business as usual as some might say, this circumstance, of course, including the newly formed legal guild that had made Amber Island it's home. Johann von Weiss, Guild Master of Dies Irae, wasn't spared. It had been a little while since the guild had opened, perhaps not long enough for everything to return to a state that felt natural, but ... at least enough for a sort of routine to settle in. The fact that, after decades away from the place, Johann could call his birthplace his own again was a thing he had to get accustomed to again first. Still, he thought, so far, so good. The business of Dies Irae was running smoothly and the members that had joined on the day the guild officially opened as well as the following days and weeks all seemed to have settled well, now occupying their rooms in the large domed guild hall, and following their day to day lives as mages. Further, contrary to what Johann had believed first, there had been no run-ins with mages of other legal guilds, the Rune Knights themselves or anything of that sort. The goal of Dies Irae was, after all, not sitting well with some people, but ... they too would eventually see the objective superiority of the path the guild had taken. They did what had to be done. Still, the God of Strength figured, there was much left to do. The world wouldn't clean itself of the filth that sometimes with pride dared call themselves "dark mages". There was no use romanticizing it.

Lost in his thoughts as he was, the man wandered from his room through the Throne Hall, the Mess Hall, as so often, his destination. He was wearing his usual uniform, the black and red giving him a more official look than he perhaps would've liked, but as the "Ambassador" of Dies Irae and Amber Island, as the guild had come to call it, he didn't exactly have much of a choice. It certainly was a change from the all-white attire of the West Fiore Trading Company. The silver-haired man sighed, for a moment reminiscing times gone by. Had it really been months already?

His thoughts were, at once, interrupted, a voice calling out from his flank, the Rune Mage instinctively turning his head to the source, his eyes falling on a woman. Light green hair seemed to frame her slender face, a face that was wholly unfamiliar to Johann. He moved towards her, slowly, his arms crossed behind his back. Upon closer inspection, indeed, he had not seen her around before. Was she a newcomer? A client, perhaps? Or just simply someone who had wandered in? He would find out soon enough. "Greetings", his voice was firm, yet calm, his multi-colored eyes mustering the mysterious woman intently, a weak, polite smile on his lips. "Do you require anything? What can I help you with?". There was, of course, a small detail that he had purposefully left for the end. "Oh, but where are my manners ...", he took off the matching hat to his uniform, pressing it against his chest as he bowed forward slightly, a gesture more than anything. "... allow me to introduce myself: I am Johann von Weiss, Ambassador of Dies Irae". He straightened his back, placing the hat back on his head. "And who might you be, Miss ...?", he left his sentence open expectingly, hoping that she, too, would introduce herself.

Amalie strode towards the Guildhall, her uniform coated with dirt and blood. She gripped her arm tightly, she wasn't entirely sure, but she was pretty sure it was broken. She would have healed it if she could but she had used up all of her mana trying to chase down the perp after letting him get away. She was furious with herself. It had happened again, Anima's interference. She had gone after a target, assigned in a guild job, only to have Anima intervene when things got a little dangerous. She had grown nauseous, giving the target the means to attack, he had blasted her with explosive magic, knocking her through the wall of a building before fleeing. She had tried to chase him down, using every spell she could in an attempt to hit him. But it was no good, the sickness that overwhelmed her had slowed her too much. He had gotten away and she had been forced to return to the guild empty-handed.

She climbed the steps leading up to the Throne Hall, fully intending to sneak in and wait for her mana to replenish before healing herself. She reached for her belt, unclipping her hip-flask she took a swig before returning it to her belt. She had been foolish, she should have consumed some before the fight. But still didn't want the whisky to hold her back, so she had held off. Anima had attempted to apologise after, but Amalie had drowned him into silence with a quick few swigs from the flask. Now she was consuming it just to numb the pain from her arm. As she entered the guild-hall, she would take a few steps before coming to a stop. Eyes widening as she spotted Johann talking to a green-haired woman. Shit. She thought in panic. She really hadn't expected to run into him right now. Normally, she wouldn't have minded, in fact, she preferred it. But today, when she was in this state. This was the last thing she wanted, for him to see her like this, and to learn of her embarrassing failure.

She considered her options, she could leave and go find somewhere to wait it out until she healed herself. But then again, he was somewhat engrossed in the conversation with the woman. She was of a similar build to Amalie, perhaps a little older than her. With long green hair that was braided all the way down her back, nor was she wearing the uniform. Was she a recruit? Or perhaps a client? Amalie would wonder, she certainly didn't recognise her. But then she probably wouldn't recognise most of her guildmates. Amalie was tired and sore, she really wanted to go back to her room and rest. She decided to risk it, treading lightly, she straightened up, trying to hide her discomfort. Hopefully, Johann wouldn't even glance her way. She made her way past them, staying close to the edge of the room as she attempted to slip past the pair unnoticed.

Hmm.. nothing seemed to be starting itself up. No loud people popping out of the woodworks to startle an already paranoid hunter as it was. Thankfully the peace and quiet only seemed like a potential reason to wanna join even more rather than a deterrent. Focus and preservation, maybe a place to throw around a bit of target practice would be nice, but otherwise all she would need would be a standard quarters with a bed and bath and she would be perfectly accommodated really. Nothing fancy. It didn’t suit her nor was it really necessary in life as most luxuries were. So far the luxuries were in her favor and she wasn’t above counting her blessings to the gods she had occasionally prayed to.

That all came to a small halt as the sound of a males voice caught her attention. The Elven woman looked to the brief distance as a man had picked himself up out of a throne like seat and stood a decent height. Her attention had become a little more defensive as her arm rescued back to a grab hold of something. It felt a little overwhelming looking down the line to his calm demeanor. He of course had not meant any ill intentions towards his guest, but in Mialana’s case, there was no telling what a friend and what an enemy truly was any longer, so until she could fix that way of thinking, everyone would be perceived an enemy until she knew otherwise. His coming closer only brought her closer to irrational choices, finally unveiling the bow that had folded itself in half from the handle and a brief click of the two halves of the handle locking in.

Before the green haired huntress notched an arrow, she paused and started to think things over. She couldn’t be like it with every person, but in the same moment she wouldn’t simply throw her worries out of the window either. He had manners, well more than most humans ever had especially with elves... for whatever reason that was. She laid off a steady footed position to a calm manner while her eyes peered about. She remained silent for a moment while she thought over what she was going to say. Was she going to say her whole name and just hope for the best? She needed to try sometime soon and if she never tried, she couldn’t move on anyway... so why not somewhere that nobody could know of her past. This was supposed to be her fresh start. ”My apologies. My name is Mianala Qinwynn. I’m mainly a Bounty Hunter for hire these days.” She gave a bow, to an extent of one.

It was in the bow that she noticed something that caused an instant reaction. In merely the blink of an eye, the elf spun herself around before firing an ethereal arrow from the bow, hitting the wall just by a woman who had tried to sneak by. Was she trying to ambush Mia? With another arrow prepped, showing that her first shot was just the same as the first one. It was in the moment before she reacted that she noticed the woman was bleeding. Though her glare was serious, her stance still ready to fire, the green haired guest had lowered her weapon and the arrow dispersed to nothing. ”I never miss a shot, so don’t think I did that to her... but you should really get someone to look into that... you also have rubble in your hair, Miss.” Her observations were more detailed than first thought, but given what had just occurred, either she was shy, or she just didn’t want to interfere in anyone’s business. Courtesy was always a plus one to Mia.

”Is it true that Dies Irae is a place of no restraints?” A look over her shoulder led to the elf to step back, able to look both current people to be able to answer if they so chose. ”Let me rephrase... is it a place that doesn’t cater to the laws of society? Dead or alive as goals for tasks?” As she asked, she turned her eye to the named Ambassador, Johann. Knowing his question was more law than anything, she was willing to hear him out. Her rumors were just that and she’d want to make sure to hear it straight from the horses mouth. ”I’ll patch up your member as well if she would like.. I would just like a first aid kit of some kind if one is available.” A quick glance to the injured party had mainly been to measure her wounds from what could be seen, but more over to make sure that no new bodies appeared, nor that she hadn’t tried to make any other moves while she wasn’t looking.

As it would happen, the guild's co-guild master would be wandering in from the mess hall with a snack.
Judging from the skewers in her hands and the one in her mouth just shy of its third occupant, she'd been munching on more mochi than any one person should in a single setting. She was careful not to spill anything since she was wearing one of her more official Ambassador uniforms. Her official business earlier in the day had called for it and had been stressful enough to ignite her large appetite. Hearing the voice of a familiar person, Johann, her mentor, and that of someone she'd never heard before had drawn her from her previous trajectory of her room initially. More alarming was the scent of blood and dirt, a smell not uncommon for the guild members to have upon returning from blacklist jobs but made more concerning because of whose scent it was mixed with.

As soon as she stepped foot into the Throne Room, sharp crimson eyes took in the scene. Johann, standing conversationally close to a stranger with green hair...who had a bow in her hands firing an ethereal arrow at an injured Amalie! Even though it missed, her reaction was immediate. The tinkle of the skewers on the floor was the only indication that she'd moved. In a pop of blue aura, 7 had teleported across the room to right in front of Amalie, shielding her from the potential second arrow and perhaps drawing the wrong conclusions from the scene in general. There was a large sword on a chain in her left hand and though her expressions were rarely fierce, at this moment it was just that. She'd even dropped her last two mochi in her state of alarm! Anyone who knew Sivvy knew snacks were life.

"Amalie! What happened?" 7 asked sharply, then whirled to eye the elf. How dare she? If Sivvy hadn't been examining and worrying over her good friend Amalie's wounds, she might have retaliated on the elf before even pausing to think it over! But now that she was closer, it didn't seem the arrow she'd witnessed could cause this type of damage even if it had hit. Her eyes appraised, mind blurring through potential scenarios. Did this woman hurt Amalie and bring her back here as a threat? Was she threatening Johann or something? No, Johann didn't seem fussed prior to the arrow. Did this elf and Amalie know each other as allies, enemies, or at all? After shooting at Amalie the woman just returned to speaking about business as usual, offering to treat Amalie. So perhaps...not an enemy. But why attack then offer to help? That made no sense. As far as she could tell, the green-haired woman made no sense at all, and 7 had never cared much for things like that.

Regardless of the backstory, it didn't excuse the behavior in her eyes....and no matter what the situation, she did still fire a warning shot at an injured guild mate just trying to come inside their safe place. "Excuse me," 7 started with pink brows lowering, ever polite even in her simmering irritation. "Do not fire your weapon in our guild hall at our guild members, please," she requested sharply, somehow managing to sound threatening without actually making the threat she was imagining. She wanted to remove one of the arms, thus putting the strangers arrow-firing to an end. But..as her inquisitive glance toward Johann might betray, she was waiting to see if such a thing would be needed, or perhaps get permission to attack. If the archer ended up being a Dark Mage, then she either must be very strong or suicidal to wander into Dies Irae, a guild that wouldn't hesitate to wipe her from existence.

"Miss Qinwynn", Johann repeated the name, a small smile running over his lips as he gave the woman before him, who had now introduced herself, a nod. "A pleasure". His other inquiry would, however, remain unanswered as the woman quickly drew her bow. Johann, too, had caught the scent, his affinity for blood directing his gaze over to a familiar person. Before the guildmaster could do or say anything, however, the woman next to him had already fired a projectile at Amalie, the God of Strength ready to move within an instant, adrenaline rushing through his veins. Luckily for the newcomer, her shot had missed and hit the wall of the throne hall, but it seemed like it had not only alerted himself but also is fellow Ambassador as well. Sivvy had moved in an instant to protect the other, but, much to Johann's relief, had not needed to do anything. He sighed. The newcomer didn't seem to acknowledge the fact she had just shot at someone without any evident reason at all. "That's putting it lightly", the uniformed male with argent hair reiterated Sivvy's statement. "Dies Irae has many rules and restraints, one of them being the fact that firing a weapon at a guildmate is the fastest way to being blacklisted". Of course, what he meant was no ordinary blacklist, the guild's own working in way that was a little more ... sinister. "You are right about that, however. Dies Irae is interested in efficiency. By what manner you hunt dark mages matters not", he said, though quickly following up. "But by dark mages, I mean only dark mages. No collateral damage, no unnecessary casualties. I hope I make myself clear". It would be unambiguous. While Dies Irae was indeed more ... eccentric than other guilds in their methods, they were still a legal guild, and their code separated ridding the world of darkness from idle murder. After all, what would be the difference between dark mages and Dies Irae if both would just kill randomly? It would be no different from the anarchy they sought. "If these limitations do not suit you ...", he concluded, "... then perhaps it is time to look for another guild".

Mianala, he recalled her name, went on to offer Amalie first aid, a thing that would be somewhat redundant, at least in the presence of the God of Ishgar. "I think that won't be necessary", he said, turning to and walking towards his injured guildmate, turning his head back at the newcomer. "I do think you owe Miss West an apology, however". He turned back, making his way over to the two women, a swelling magical signature emitting from his form before touching her shoulder softly, the maledict beginning its work in an instant. Around her head, a swirling corona of black crystal would appear for just one instance before vanishing again while her wounds and injuries would heal in a matter of moments. Johann sighed once more. "You don't have sneak in, you know". Joh would address the Articulation Mage, turning towards Sivvy to give her a greeting nod before swerving his head back to Amalie. "What happened for you to return like this, anyway?".

The instant that her hand let go of that arrow, the atmosphere changed. Or rather the moment after once everyone in the room urgently both known and unknown had become aware of the situation. Frankly, any normal person had been able to approach this in a better manner than Mia had, but she wasn’t the type of person to regret her actions when it came to her own safety and of others around her if they so needed it. First the appearance of another person whom had escaped her sights until now meant either she was much faster than she had ever seen in a person, or that she happened to be in the right place. Then again, she knew nothin of the layout in this guild so any place could have filled the latter of the scenarios without much realization. This newly added member to this dance had given Mia a fierce look, one that didn’t put her in a fearful state, but it showed how determined that this person would be to attack her if she didn’t desist from her actions and try to be more rational.

And she had. Easing herself to lower her bow completely, she lowered her arms to her side as at the least a show she had not planned to do anything more. As the ambassador had begun to speak, Mianala couldn’t help but continue to gaze at the anger filled in the pink haired girls eyes. It made her remember a bit about how she used to be when she was a little younger. That was something she’d cut off from herself for a long time, and seeing it felt almost like a mirror. It put a bit of a smile to her face. ”No, you’re right. I’m much more used to the thick jungles filled with anything and everything put to kill. I merely acted on impulse... but i am not going to apologize entirely over it. It was a mistake I won’t make again, however.” She was stubborn about a lot of things, the first being admission of being wrong.

Yet, one other thing stuck out about what Johann had told him pertaining to what she was informed of. While she had not replied until he was finished with her, she had a chance to reply. Her rumors and sources were a little more spot on than usual, but usually that’s what made them good informants to keep about to begin with. It helped in the long run and it’s what little trust she held in others left. But they were ones who reached out to help her in the time of need she was in for, so it was something to hold to. ”Limitations like that aren’t any worry. However I can’t be held responsible for hot headed blood junkies who decided to dash ahead in combat. I have a very very.. particular hunting method, but as long as coordination is done prior. My work is very serious to me.” Her bow would be set down, leaning to her side while she had folded her arms under her chest, casually stepping aside in the conversation to allow Johann to tend to his flock. After all, he had told her her help was not needed.

Post by Amalie 23rd April 2019, 2:09 pm

Amalie made it about halfway across the throne hall before everything went to shit. Just as she was starting to believe that she would manage the feat of sneaking pat the guild master and the visitor. An arrow suddenly shot in front of her, hitting the wall violently. This development gave Amalie two reasons to be extremely pissed off. The first being, the sudden appearance of the arrow had caused her to jump back slightly, jolting her arm roughly enough to send a shooting pain through her. So sharp that even the alcohol she'd consumed thus far wasn't enough to numb it. The woman growled through gritted teeth as she clutched her arm once more. The second reason for her anger was that her attempt as discretion was ruined and Johann had been made aware of her presence. All thanks to this halfwit woman who decided to attack Amalie for no reason.

Amalie turned her ice-blue gaze to the green haired woman that had attacked her. Her face contorted in rage and her eyes ablaze in a cold fury. Every fibre in her being wanting to punish her for having the audacity to shoot at her. She went to speak, attempt to cast her 'Shards' spell, only to remember that she didn't have any magic at present. She had used it all up on that target earlier. Well, no matter, she still had her sword. Even if she wasn't used to fighting with her left hand, she was prepared to figure it out. Although it didn't seem to be necessary, because, in the blink of an eye, Sivvy appeared in front of her. As though to protect her from another attack. Amalie looked on in mild surprise. Glancing around in an attempt to work out where the girl had come from. She eyed the mochi lying on the floor, the shock of the moment sinking in further as she glanced from the abandoned snacks back to Sivvy.

Sivvy asked her what happened, which would remind Amalie of what they were dealing with. She returned her gaze to the green-haired woman, who began to quickly defend her own actions by denying she didn't actually injure Amalie. This did nothing to calm the Articulation mage, nor did the rubble remark, which she ignored. The girl continued on in an ignorant manner, asking about the way the guild worked. So she wanted to join? This girl who had walked into a guild and attacked an injured passer-by, wanting to join a guild who aspire to protect the public against evil by any means necessary. Sivvy would make a surprisingly sharp comment, ordering her not to fire her weapon at guild members. The normally polite, well-mannered girl sounded pretty intimidating. which cause Amalie to calm a little, just to smirk at the pink-haired girl's fierceness. Johann would add to the conversation expressing his opinion on the matter. The woman commented about being used to jungles being her reason for attacking a stranger. Amalie rolled her eyes, scoffing loudly when the woman denied her an apology.

"No need to apologize, you clearly can't help being a fucking eejit." She retorted, her voice laced with sarcasm. She turned her gaze to Johann as he approached, he reached over and placed a soft touch on her shoulder. Amalie felt the magic course over her, her wounds, and aches would heal. Her broken arm would mend itself, feeling significantly better. Her body relaxed slightly, feeling significantly better. He commented that she didn't need to sneak in, causing her to glance away. Not wanting to meet his gaze, she was still bothered by the fact she failed. Failure was something she loathed immensely. She would hear his question and sigh, resigned by the fact she had no choice but to explain herself.

"I was chasing a target and ..." How could she say this? She didn't exactly feel comfortable talking about Anima so publically. She still hadn't explained her situation to Sivvy yet and well, as far as the green-haired girl was concerned. It was none of her business.  She looked at Johann once more, hoping he would interpret the meaning behind her words. "I ran into some interference. The target was able to catch me off guard with some explosion magic. I tried to track him down after but I lost him and used up all my mana in the process. I was hoping to wait to recover in my room until I regained enough mana to heal myself." But of course that had been ruined. She turned towards the green haired girl, moving away from Johann, she strode over to the girl. The blue-haired woman stepped up to her. Her cold gaze meeting the women, "If you ever aim an arrow at me again,  I'll carve you into a thousand pieces and feed you to the pigeons." Although the line was spoken in a calm manner, the threat itself was laced with a quiet venom.

Post by Masha 25th April 2019, 5:10 pm

Masha watched the unfolding scene below her. She was testing out a newer ability of her new magic which wasn't entirely stable. Probably not the best way to sneak her 'special' folder into her room. It was clasped against her chest. The folder was filled with various stories of people she'd met. Some of which stood below her. She chewed on her lip. How was she supposed to know that people would be shooting arrows beneath her though? Her perfect plan had been shot to hell. The magic was disintegrating beneath her. There were mere seconds before it was gone entirely. Maybe she could throw the folder to safety? No time to think about it. Go! The succubus tossed the folder as her sound disk vanished.

Things didn't quite go as planned. Instead of hitting the wall to slide to safety, the folder opened up throwing her smutty little stories everywhere. "NOOOOO!!!!" Masha cried out. Then she hit the ground with a thump. The white sheets of paper covered in elegant calligraphy fluttered down all around her. "I'm sorry! I'm sorry, don't read them, I'm sorry!" She said hopping to her feet and trying to snag as many of them as she could. Where were the ones regarding the people in the room? Her eyes caught one near Amalie's foot. The first sentences read: Amalie sank down into a sea of softness, lowered by her lover. The hunger in her guild master's eyes sent heat through her frozen heart. Seven had unlocked parts of this blue haired mage she hadn't even known existed... Masha paled. It was inevitable that the page would be picked up. Only prayer might prevent Amalie or Seven from actually reading it.

Of course that wasn't as bad as the pages near Johann's feet. Those detailed the intricate, methodical creation of the guild harem. It'd had been a joke story before she really started getting into it. Unraveling the character she'd made of Johann had been half the fun. What did the aloof proper guild master hide behind that uniform? Was it difficult to hide the heart that beat for his guild members? Once he finally tasted the forbidden fruit could he actually stop? Now the story was way bigger than she ever intended and all over the guild floor.

It was too late to truly save the situation. Masha carefully brushed off her skirt. She retrieved the folder and placed the pages she'd recovered back into it. Luckily, she'd snagged the ones regarding her Amalie x Johann and various others that might get her in trouble. Well no more so than the ones that were near Johann and Amalie already. The succubus managed to plaster on a shaky smile. "If you could just bring the papers back to me, I'll place them back in this folder." Her voice managed not to quiver while she spoke. That was a bonus. Flicking her long red hair over her shoulder, Masha flashed a smile at the new comer. The woman wasn't bad to look at. However, there was a distinctively absent flicker of desire. Masha wondered if she would ever recover it.

"Hi, my name is Masha. What are you called?"

As usual, the clone sorta blended into the background as Johann and Amalie took the speaking roles from here. She merely stared at the newcomer intently, trying to decide if it was okay to allow this person in and forget what happened or if she was someone that wouldn't ultimately measure up to the guild's ideals. The only thing that drew her attention away was the appearance of Masha, who quite literally crashed in and littered the ground with papers out of the folders she'd been clutching.

Since Amalie was both busy, injured, and pissed off, the pink-haired woman stooped to collect the papers at her feet. Despite Masha's command not to read, she couldn't help but notice the elaborate writing. Sivvy loved to read, so she truly couldn't help herself. Who knew, maybe reading something random aloud would calm the situation. "Amalie sank down into a sea of softness, lowered by her lover. The hunger in her guild master's eyes sent heat through her frozen heart. Seven had unlocked parts of this blue haired mage she hadn't even known existed..." she read eloquently, brows raising as she recognized her designation and slowly put together the context. Sivvy let the words hang in the air in all their glory, reading just a little further before her crimson eyes slowly tilted up at Masha.

"This didn't happen," the young woman said after a long pause. She turned to look between Amalie and Johann, a strange lump forming in her throat for several different reasons at once. "Obviously it's fiction since Amalie and J-Johann are..." Her voice trailed off, straightening the papers and walking over to Masha to return them. Her returning of the papers was as judgment-free as possible, and her next words were genuine and pure. "I didn't know you wrote, Masha. Have you published any books?" Sivvy asked, producing a small smile. She had never been one to read these types of books, but if Masha had anything else written, the clone was always looking for new material to read.

The Ambassador of Dies Irae simply raised an eyebrow in response to the newcomer, shaking his head slightly. "Great, but this is not the jungle, Miss Qinwynn, quite the opposite, in fact. The guild operates according to a set order. Any deviation from this order will result in consequences, and you will be held responsible. As long as you understand that, we will have no problems". It would make it quite clear. Any unnecessary damage or casualty would be on her, and the guild wouldn't back her up if she would endanger its position through unneeded acts of foolishness or reckless, hasty actions. The primary purpose of this guild was to protect, not to murder and get away with it.

Understandably enough, the Articulation Mage was more than slightly agitated, and so was Sivvy. Johann took a deep breath, he would act like he hadn't heard that insult. Still, the part that followed did bother him a little. "And you thought anyone would hold your injury against you?", the silver-haired male asked, honestly somewhat confused about her actions. He sighed. "Anyway, I'm glad you're safe". He couldn't blame her. Next time the newcomer would aim an arrow at anyone she wasn't supposed to Joh would gladly join Amalie in the "cutting-into-a-thousand-pieces" process, nodding at the Articulation Mage, though until then ... "I think that's enough animosity for now, don't you think? I'm sure we can still discuss this in great detail later, but for now, let's at least act civil". The comment wasn't aimed at anyone in particular, though would concern the group as a whole, Johann hoping that his attempt at stopping a massacre right here in the Throne Hall would be at least somewhat effective. He would feel bad for the poor Neophyte who'd be assigned to clean that mess up.

Speaking of mess. Johann had been about to turn back to the new arrival for further introduction when suddenly, and without much warning, sheets began raining from the ceiling, followed by another member of the guild making a rather sudden entry, falling from somewhere above the group and landing on the ground. One of the man's eyebrows began to twitch, a side of his mouth lifted into an awkward smile. A great display for a guild that was supposed to be taken seriously. Certainly, the new girl had to think that Dies Irae was nothing more than an ensemble of clowns after bearing witness to this. Johann knelt down, his eyes falling onto the black scripture on the page as he picked it up, the smirk vanishing from his face. He had had no intention of reading this, though couldn't help but spot his own name on the white paper, his intrigue piqued.

"The guildmaster named Johann could barely contain his enthusiastic anticipation for the future to come. His plans to transform Dies Irae into his own, personal Harem had been set in motion. The fact that the female population of the guild heavily outweighed the males was, of course, no coincidence. He couldn't wait to finally-", the man stopped reading, raising his eyes to Masha, blinking a few times in what appeared like shame, confusion, his face turning red. This fact, combined with Sivvy, who began reading another part of Masha's writings out loud, caused the man to wordlessly walk over the apparent author of these texts, handing her the page, before turning around.

"If anyone needs me, I'll be in my office".

”On the contrary, sir...” She seemed to smirk at the comment he’d made concerning the difference of environment. Trying really not to laugh, but never geared in any form of disrespect or anything, just crude humor of sorts. ”The only difference between the normal forests and the city is merely that the monkeys in the forest have higher IQ’s than most of the politicians and namely most with absurd amounts of money. Not necessarily all of them, but I still stand to my point.” She sided her comment to ending with a small shrug. She wasn’t willing to argue politics with anyone, but she wasn’t really wrong with her statement either. Some people really were dumber than a sack of potatoes, yet managed to be able to lie their way into seats of power. ”However, I have no qualms with your rules and stipulations. In fact, I’m more looking forward to it than anything.”

A creature of habit she was, and to continue being in a place where a habit like that was easily adaptable was a nice touch on things. Or... at least it was before the injured woman who snuck in had so rudely spoke up. Her comment about her being an.. “eejit?” was a little bit immature for someone who so quickly clammed up once Johann got to her. He was able to apply some type of magic or something that was visibly showing small signs of healing in a rapid set of a few seconds. While she remained silent to it, she didn’t feel the need to exacerbate a situation that would be pointless but to having her most likely being slaughtered for shooting this injured party by the Ambassador himself. ”So I take it that while she is simply a member.. this little Jelly Bean over here is also a member too?” Pointing a thumb towards the direction of Sivvy, the woven woman shot a small curious glance towards her before she heard a sudden interruption.

Another feminine voice called out, begging and pleading, apologizing about her accidental mishap with some loose papers. It seemed each of the few gathered picked up their own paper, but the still strange to her began to speak, reading aloud lines that.. oh god... no child should be reading that! As much as Mia wanted to instinctively snatch the paper, she quickly and innocently dismissed it as pure fiction. She.. was a wild card for sure. But when she mentioned the two of them, the pair that stood not far away from the elf herself, she blinked while her cheeks started to slowly flush pink. Was she insinuating that Johann and this rude brat were a couple? Well... it would be possible. Someone would have to ground that whack job and shut her bear trap of a mouth. Still, it wasn’t any of her business to interfere in these, so she quickly brushed away the sensation and just let things move on as they normally should.

A stray paper poked at her leg and she curiously looked down to her feet. As she reached down to pick it up, she heard Johann mention he would be in his barracks. The elf quickly shot a look to him as to what would make him- She knee it the second her eyes laid on the paper that he read something he either didn’t like, or that he liked a little too much. The green haired guest turned her attention to the paper in her hand and began to glance over the words written down. She didn’t even get several words into it before she felt disgusted. The idea of relationships haunted her and frankly made her sick to her stomach, so she chose to ignore reading it. Instead, Mia shot a glare towards the red haired girl. ”I’m just going to ignore the way that was asked, but my name is Mianala. Mia if you prefer. Speaking of preferences, if you’re going to walk around with loose papers, the preferred method to keep that from happening would probably be a binder. Something that even falling won’t cause your guild mates to look like 50 shades of red.” Her eyes slid between Johann and Amalie, since by now she’d have read something too, most likely.

”Ambassador!” The elf called out, trying to catch him before he’d leave. ”Before you leave, i still am expressing my interest to join. If you’d be willing to accept, that is.” She wasn’t aware that Sivvy was also someone able to fully approve her, but if he did or didn’t come back she wouldn’t be opposed to the whole idea either way of who did it.

Once the papers were returned to Masha, Sivvy turned her attention back to the group. She wasn't sure how to feel about the newcomer in light of everything. She'd read that first impressions were key, and Mianala hadn't provided a very good one so far. Attacking one of Sivvy's few friends had her own heart still pumping a hit harshly, anticipating another though none would come. Was this distrust? Perhaps, but she made the conscious effort to give the woman another chance. Mia did look a bit different, perhaps her teachings had not prepared her for situations such as these. 7 had made her own social faux pas, especially when she first began working outside the laboratory.

However, the next words thrown her way confounded her. "Jelly Bean?" Sivvy asked, angling her head to the left in confusion. Had Mia been referring to her? How she could possibly draw an analogy between a small, bean-shaped candy generally fruity in flavor to a full grown woman standing in an ornate Dies Irae uniform. "Are you referring to...me?" she wanted to clarify, and not that there was the offer of the candy somewhere nearby. Speaking of food...what had happened to her last mochi? Her eyes scanned for it upon remembrance, finding it melting on the ground at the mouth of the Throne Hall proper. Sadness washed over her face, followed by annoyance. Mia had made her drop her mochi. But she was giving her a second chance. Yes...second chances.... her brow subtly twitched. "Yes, I'm a member. An Ambassador, actually, same as Johann. I'm designated 7, but most call me Sivvy," the clone finally introduced herself, a bit befuddled by the crazy sequence of events. Dropping her snack to aid an injured Amalie that a potential new recruit shot an arrow at just before explicit papers of all sorts of strange stories fluttered down and she was apparently called a Jelly Bean. Hopefully, Johann wouldn't hold it against her that she wasn't on top of the stamping and admittance process for the Veridian woman.

Johann's words caused Amalie to bite the inside of her cheek. It wasn't like it was his intention but she couldn't help but become more irritated by what he'd said. The answer to his remark, being both yes, and no. It wasn't that they would hold it against her, she knew them well enough to assume that wouldn't be the case. But it was the sense of failing to do the job that irked her, them knowing that she was failing. She would prefer it if he had scalded her. His 'understanding', it was just so alien and it frustrated her. She hadn't just joined Dies Irae to escape the clutches of her past, she had actually found herself wanting to aid it in any way she could. Maybe because it was important to Johann and Sivvy, so letting them down in any way, it left Amalie much more flustered than usual.

"Thank you."  She responded quietly to his healing, deciding there was no need for elaboration at this point. Following her threat to the green haired woman, Johann would instruct them to 'act civil'. Amalie held her cold glare for a moment longer, before stepping away. However, hearing the 'Jelly bean' comment, would cause Amalie to grit her teeth. Shooting a Johann a look that suggested that this 'acting civil' business wasn't going to be as easy as he'd implied. she didn't appreciate this stranger actually so casually towards Sivvy, demaning her with such a childish nickname. Especially when Amalie knew full well that if Sivvy wanted to, she could gave in the girls skull without even breaking a sweat. From Sivvy's reaction,  Amalie could only imagine that the girl might not understand the meaning behind the nickname. Amalie was considering her reply, she wanted to snap at the woman. To order her to show Sivvy some respect, but before she could formulate the comment. There was a rather dramatic interruption, a loud girlish cry, and a series of apologies as papers flew everywhere.

Amalie glanced over, recognising the red-head from the opening ceremony. She would watch as Sivvy plucked up a few of the papers, beginning to read it out loud. Amalie's brow arched as she heard her name, listening as Sivvy begin to recite a rather sexual encounter between herself as the Articulation mage. Frozen heart? She thought confused, Did she had a frozen heart? She didn't think so, perhaps this was how others interpreted her. Huh. She thought, feeling herself grow more irritated by the absurdity of what was happening. I really just wanted a lie-down. She thought, suppressing the need to groan. She caught Sivvy gazing at her, the words the woman spoke, causing Amalie to eye Sivvy for a moment with a gaze of uncertainty, it was a complicated matter that was for sure. She decided, once again, it was best not to comment. Johann, seemed to have a similar thought process, excusing himself from the situation, only to be called back by visitor.

Sivvy would address the green-haired eegit once more. Explaining that she too was an ambassador, Amalie would decide that she was no longer needed in this situation. "I'm going to retire for some rest, I'll catch you later Sivvy."  She said, she offered Johann a nod as well before turning away. Striding down the hall, she would make her way to her room. Glad to be out of the 'ridiculous' scenario, once and for all.

In honesty, the man would've preferred to be left alone. He had some things to ... contemplate after reading this piece of explicit fiction that had literally fallen before his feet, the way to his office seeming like the most reasonable path to take right now. Was what the small exert from Masha's writings had revealed really his fault? He couldn't exactly control who joined the guild but ... was this what people were thinking of him? He had tried to maintain a professional, but welcoming appearance for both himself and the guild called Dies Irae itself, but ... had he failed in providing an environment like that for his members? The contemplation did not exactly help to lift the man's spirits, his eyes growing just a little sad.

Still, the silver-haired Rune Mage looked up when the newcomer addressed him, turning around with a somewhat awkward smirk. "Ah ... yes, of course, forgive me. Please don't betray the guild or shoot more arrows at the wrong people or we'll have to hunt you down and so on and so forth. Where would you like your guild mark?". The God of Ishgar seemed a little bit out of it, though still reached into one of his pockets, pulling out one of the vials of sanguine liquid, the ink that would form the guild mark of Dies Irae.

Another wave of silence washed over the elven woman as she allowed the others around her to speak over herself. It's a little harder to really gather a feel of the situation at hand with the gaggle of things that accrued in the time she'd entered. It wasn't as though she hid the fact she was to blame for the rather harsh verbal lashing that Amalie had given her, but her pride was much to high to simply admit to anything that didn't put her on the right side of it all. That's just how Mianala was and there was hardly anything-- if anything that could really tell her otherwise. Whether that got on anyones nerves or not was not her concern, but in the case of something as somewhat important to her as to find somewhere and do it without haste, she'd best to step around the land mines she had helped to create.

Mia had given it some time to allow the injured woman to get healed up before she excused herself from the group. It wasn't to blame, but she had to bite her tongue from any further arguments. She did watch Amalie walk away before finally returning her attention to the younger looking girl. "Indeed I did, yes." She confirmed, reaching into her cloak to pull out a small sack of Jelly Beans she'd bought a little before arriving here. "Comparatively, it's small, sweet looking, and kinda cute." She paused, her head turning to the dropped snack and then holding out the bag for her. "If you'd like, I hope this would smooth over the issue of your snack, ma'am." It.. didn't fully hit her yet in the reality of having someone whom looked and actually was younger than her in a higher seat of power, but that was of no real bother to her.

Her last bit of business to cater to was with Johann. He laid out the reminder once again over shooting at other members and the visible sigh of discontent was easily shown. She heard it time and time again, and while she understood his reasons and his intentions, Mia simply folded her arms underneath her chest for a moment while she had turned to fully face him. "In the future, I'll be a little more hesitant while doing such things. But... I'm sure there's unavoidable occasions as well? I.. may be thinking highly over the top in regards to situations, but in 31 years of life I've been through a number of various situations. I'm just trying to cover bases... but never the less." She trailed off and then reached up, unclasping a small covered part of her cloak and with that, let the cloak draped over her head and body to slip off, pooling around her feet. With that, her arms and shoulders were free to the air, her top cutting from the back in a V shape from the top of her ribs and moving down to a point by the bend of her back. One hand took her bow, Collapsing the weapon into several sections and holding it, while the other took her braid and pulled it over her shoulder. "If between the shoulder blades is sufficient, I'd like it there, please."

"Right", the man responded simply, watching as the woman unveiled the designated spot for her own guild mark, the Ambassador sending over the blood-red ink with a subtle motion of his hand. The ink would touch her skin and instantly shift to her desired color before molding into the shape of a cross, the guild mark of Dies Irae. "With that done ...", Johann began speaking once more, pushing the now empty vial into his pocket before pulling out a set of keys from the same, handing them over to the newcomer, "... these are the keys to your room in the East Wing. Welcome to Dies Irae, Miss Qinwynn. Within your room you'll find all basic necessities, including a set of uniforms. Mess Hall's over there if you're hungry. That said ...", the man turned around into the direction of his office once again, "... I'll be going", Johann, too, making his exit. He did, after all, have some things to contemplate ...
