Name: Jin Suzuka
Gender: Male
Age: 28
Birthday: 7/08
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Special Characteristics: -
Personality:
Out of Combat: Jin is a man of few words, mostly because he's always doing something. He is similar to a yes man, but in more of a soldier-type manner. He has no desire for personal gain from answering others' calls, doing missions, or anything of that sort. He just accepts any task given to him without a second thought. Because of this, not many get to ever talk to him and understand his emotions or mental state. He's just always busy. Should one ever get the chance to talk to him one on one, they'd find someone who is just as standoffish as he lets on to be. He isn't cold, nor is he emotionless, he is just very straightforward and blunt, and this can be taken as the former 2 sometimes. He will state how he feels about you directly to your face without any sign of remorse. If Jin likes you, he'll tell you. If he hates you, he'll tell you. This usually puts people off from talking to him, despite Jin legitemately enjoying company. He isn't the party hard type, but he likes a person around every now and then. Jin is just too quiet, always busy, and a bit too blunt. Plus, he is the type to only speak when spoken to, so that doesn't help.
In Combat: Jin is absolutely no-nonsense in combat. He doesn't play, he doesn't care for fighting, any of that. Jin aims to end fights just as quickly as he starts them, before anything can get too seriously. He is efficient, and aims to complete any mission or combat as thoroughly as possible with minimal injuries, casualties, or collateral damage. That being said, his tactics can be seen as underhanded at times. Jin is the type to fight how he sees fit, and however will get the job done quickly. He doesn't fight with honor, he fights to win. He will throw sand in the eyes or anything of that sort if necessary. Emphasis on if necessary. Along with this, Jin is a good gauge of whether or not he can fight an opponent without resorting to dirty means. That isn't his usual tactic. Instead, he just prefers to blitz his opponents down and give them no chance to breathe, showing absolutely no mercy.
Under A Leader: Under a leader, Jin will follow orders to a T. As long as they don't endanger his own life, or the lives of the innocent, he will not hesitate to do anything told to him. In fact, he will not bat an eye to even the most amoral order, as long as it abides by his previous established rules. Jin simply waits for orders, takes them, and does them. He rarely ever even speaks to a commander, other than just to tell them that he has completed his job, needs a new one, or understands what they gave him.
As A Leader: Jin does not prefer positions of power. He is an underling to his very core, and would only be a leader if it absolutely calls for it. In this situation, he'd probably just command his unit to do simple trivial tasks, and do the bulk of it himself since he is very inexperienced when it comes to being a leader.
Likes:
*Doing What's Necessary: Jin will always complete his mission, regardless of the cost on his part is. He will not leave the site until it's complete, even if it means him losing a limb, breaking bones, or anything on his part. On that same note, property damage and things of that sort are also of no concern to him. He'll do what's necessary to get the job done.
*His Own Means: Jin will always complete whatever is told of him, however he will always find a way to do it his way. No matter what. Doing something another person's way only irks him, and makes him feel like he's limiting himself, as well as blatantly boring him.
*Performing Tasks: Be it busywork or a giant mission, Jin always wants to be doing something. He likes work, likes doing things, and hates having nothing to do.
*Subtle Company: Although he is blunt by nature, Jin does enjoy a bit of company. He is fairly standoffish, but will always have fun with someone around, assuming he isn't busy of course.
*Gratification: It may seem petty, but Jin wants the satisfaction of doing, hearing, or seeing his work completed. Along with this, if he ever is right about something, he loves hearing people say that he's right, and will likely not leave them alone about it until they say it.
Dislikes:
*Disloyalty: One thing that will tick off Jin to no extent is not keeping up one's loyalty, to anyone without reason. To him, loyalty is the one thing people need most, if anything.
*Games / Playing Around: While it may seem like he's a killjoy, Jin doesn't like playing around, playing games, or not really being serious. He thinks that takes away from his work ethic, and will make his job harder.
*Combat: Contrary to what someone would think, Jin hates fighting and combat. He only does it because he finds it necessary in life, and losing combat would be against the nature of people. However, every time he is in combat or he sees people fighting, he gets a twinge in his gut that tells him that this is wrong.
*Questioning Orders: Jin has this soldier-esque mindset of everyone should stay in their own place, including himself. As such, he has created a sort of mental barrier to deflect any morals infringing on his missions and orders.
Motivations:
*Order: While Jin may not appear as such, but he is a man with strict ideals of order within the world. He wants a stable environment without chaos or anything of that sort. Now while he believes that a world with perfect order should exist, he knows that such is unobtainable. However, this doesn't stop him from trying his hardest to obtain it.
*Upholding the Law: Jin knows that the law is there for a reason, and this is heavily tied to his first motivation. The law is there to create order, and is there to keep the peace. Because of this Jin, regardless of the law, will try to uphold it to the best of his ability, and will make others do so as well.
*Others' Desires: As previously stated, Jin lives as a person for others to call upon. He is someone that will come to help regardless of how much he has on his plate, which usually leads to him being extremely busy, but not in a bad way. He wants to be able to do all he can for anyone, and that's what he lives for.
Fears:
*Nothingness: Ironically, Jin fears that which he will inevitably disappear into. No, not a fear of death - he doesn't fear that at all - he has a fear of a lack of anything. Nothingness. He will eventually cease to exist entirely, and that is his biggest fear. No afterlife, no hope, no anything. Nothing.
*The One Who is Not: Jin, much like his fear of dissolving into nothing, fears the creature that will inevitably erase him - although not for the same reason. Yes, Jin fears being entirely erased without an afterlife, but that isn't all that there is to fear from this creature. It isn't one with emotion, motive, moods, or anything. It is just a creature that erases, and that is too dangerous for Jin's liking. If he ever slips up on controlling the creature, Jin wouldn't be able to live with himself.
*Telepathy: Control over the mind, reading minds, or general mind-related abilities terrify Jin due to their innate extremely dangerous nature. They could be used for all sorts of freakish nightmares such as learning about his personal weaknesses, exploiting his other fears, or even more intimate thoughts such as his loved ones and the like. Anyone who has telepathy would be lucky to catch Jin in the same room as them at any point in time.
