After all the things that had happened, the things he had seen and the things that he had learned, Solmar came to realize that there were some things that needed to be in order before he continued the way he did. Because of his failed upbringing, he had never known about any council overseeing mages and magic users in Fiore, nor had he even been remotely aware of the fact that there were apparently guilds for mages that made it easier for them to sign up for jobs. Though he not exactly been coming up short on that front as there was plenty of work to be done in the smaller villages, towns and the cities surrounding Sakuramori, there were other places that he wished to see. As a wanderer, the goal had never been to stay in one place for long, which was more or less something he had been doing now anyway by inhabiting an abandoned bear den deep within the woods of Sakuramori. Believing that Fellis himself was quite keen on the place though, Solmar made no real plans to actually leave it behind. In spite of that though, he had been preparing for something that might eventually allow him to move on anyway.

With that said, the two of them had quite recently had reason to leave the place for a little while, traveling to Hargeon town. Hearing word of one of these mage guilds being rather close to there in a place called Magnolia, it was also apparently an important place now that the invisible borders people had made up had opened up. Hearing talk about how obtaining a "passport" would allow him to cross one of these borders and enter into another country, Solmar had decided that he was going to get one too. If it meant less factors impeding his travels, than that was something he was willing to set out to get. Wandering through the town, he did not really need to bother asking for directions to the passport place as a large crowd had gathered around it already. Figuring that this might make it difficult for him to get near enough to actually get such a piece of paper, he put on his hood and took his sword in hand while still remaining within the scabbard. Solmar had heard plenty of times how his appearance might come across as "dark and brooding", which was something he could actually use to his benefit now.

Being fairly muscular for his age, the fact that he stood at a height of six feet and wore a coat made from the pelt of a bear while holding an odd type of sword in-hand seemingly did the trick. Walking through the crowd, those that bumped into him did not really bother causing a ruckus, though some did tell him that he needed to think about their children as he cut in line. Looking back, he tossed a few Jewels he had laying around in his pocket at them and continued moving. Not really having a whole lot of use for such currency, he figured the kids might be able to get something nice with it. That said, just because someone had kids did not expressly mean that he cared about them, at least not enough to wait in line while everyone around him pushed and shoved like a band of animals. Truly, humans were often more like animals than the actual animals were. But all of that aside, he managed to reach his destination within five minutes of entering the crowd, taking off his hood and showing that he was not nearly as scary as his hooded appearance might have made it seem.

Led into a small office, an elderly man working for the council started asking him a series of questions, though he most likely did not care much for the answers. When asked where he lived, he did not really feel comfortable with the answer "Sakuramori", nor did "Wandering" count as a job description. After some more talking though, the man seemed to come around when he heard of some of the jobs the young man had taken upon himself, such as making sure the local flora and fauna could thrive, the fisherman of Cedar could keep fishing and how an old herbalist mage could continue working on new herbs and medicine because of his aid. Feeling like Solmar was at the very least not something he classified as a "Dark mage", which had been similar to the Necromancer he had faced, Solmar himself nodded in agreement. When a sudden flash temporarily blinded him, it turned out the man had used his magic to capture a picture of him before waving his hands around and making office equipment fly throughout the room.

Before his eyes, the man used his magic to put together one of these "passports" that seemed to mean so much to the people of Fiore. By the time the elderly man placed into his hands, he informed him on a bunch of rules related to owning a passport and that some acts might cause it to be revoked. Stating that, considering the jobs he had done meant he was likely practicing magic while doing his damndest to make money while trying to aid others, having the passport meant that he was allowed to do so outside of Fiore as well. In truth, this hardly meant anything to Solmar as he doubted the fact that he would actually let silly concepts such as borders and rules stop him from doing what he was going to do in the first place. Still, it could not hurt to own such a thing if it meant making his life a bit easier and giving people at least one less reason to dislike him and make things harder than they actually had to be.

With his passport in hand and the rules made clear to him about how they actually worked, Solmar nodded at the man as if to think him before shaking his hand and leaving the way he came. Slowly returning towards Sakuramori along with his Exceed, the two would make at least a few more stops at some locals shops and dining places as all the traveling and bureaucracy had made them work up quite an appetite.
