Breaking and Exiting Empty Breaking and Exiting

Post by Tier 1st July 2013, 8:02 am

[Breaking and Exiting Info and Approval]

He had returned to Hargeon Town for the first time in a very long time. With a rucksack slung over his shoulder, he stood in a shallow nook, staring at the front gates of Lamia Scale, debating about how he could ever repay his debts for his absences and to be allowed back through those gate into the only home he now had left. Instinctively his arm went up and he touched where the tattoo of the mermaid, the logo and icon of Lamia Scale. A stabbing pain filled his body, he felt as if he had betrayed them. If only they knew..

In the same instant, as if fate itself had interfered, a slip of paper rolling and flying in the wind caught itself on his foot flapping wildly against his boots. Glancing down, Tier peered at it a second. A piece of garbage. But a single word caught his attention, making him bend down and grab it. Reward.

Fully reading the paper, it became clear that this slip of paper was a job request, sent to Lamia Scale itself. The job was set here in Hargeon Town. It seemed perfect. It was an urgent request from the Shipping Co. A large company in Hargeon that had recently been robbed by a pack of bandits. It gave a little more information, telling they had a ship ready for departure and that it must be completed as soon as possible or else they would escape. This was his ticket. Tossing his hood over his head, Tier stepped out from the shadows, as if fate had again decided to show itself to him, another member of Lamia Scale had just stepped out of the gates.

The stranger to Tier reached his arms into the arm, stretching wide. His face took on of shock as Tier approached him. Tier, dressed in a black trench coat with the hood pulled low over his face, must have seemed like a member of a dark guild, or an assassin that was sent after this man. Feeling Saeryth boiling for a fight, Tier could feel his back warming with every step towards the man. Quickly, Tier managed to flash the tattoo of Lamia Scale to the man, who quickly took up a more relaxed stance. With the slip of paper in hand Tier reached it out towards the man, “Here,” Tier said quickly, “tell them Tier has accepted this task..” letting the paper go, Tier had quickly pivoted and was already walking away leaving the man in a confused daze.

Taking a quick glance back, he saw the man fumbling around, trying to catch the paper, and eventually having to chase it down a bit to pick up the request. To Tier, it was good to see the members hadn't changed at all. They still seemed to be the same old self. While effective and efficient, they still seemed to have a rather childish manner to them as well. A playful side. With another final glance, he noticed the man doing the same to him, before passing through the gates again to deliver the message and request slip.

Breaking and Exiting Empty Re: Breaking and Exiting

It didn't take long for Tier to pick up on a small trail that may have led to the bandits. A small glimmer from the ground had caught his eye, and upon further inspection it was indeed a jewel. To the left of him was an alley way, which could turn left again at the end of the row. Before Tier could even turn to start down the route, a small stocky man stepped in front of him. His fingers rolling around in his seemingly too long moustache.

That would be mine,” the clearly boss man said putting his hand out, “place it here.” While he seemed confident, due to the few men that surrounded him, it was clear in his eyes he feared the appearance of Tier, the mage who stood before him.

With a smirk, Tier placed the jewel in the man's hand, and reached his hand up pulling the hood down from over his head, revealing himself fully. His white bangs fell in front of his face, the rest of his hair being swept up in a mess with a gust of wind. The crimson red mermaid on his neck, shown brightly with the afternoon sun. “So then..I guess I'll finish what you started then?” Tier was quick to ask when the men surrounding their boss took a step back.  Even the boss himself quivered a bit, but surprisingly stood his ground.

Oh, then, you are Tier. The one Lamia Scale sent on high regards?” the little man said taking another look at the icon Tier wore on his neck. “Yes, yes then. You can take it from here. We didn't think someone would come in time, so we followed the trail to this point. Those stupid bandits must have a hold in the bag since we've been following these jewels since yesterdays break in.” The little man, clearly trying to seem like he was actually accomplishing something, wasn't even watching as Tier brushed past him, and into the alley way.

The job was on, and Tier could sense it was already close to the end. Taking up a rather quick pace he turned the corner at the end of the alley, meeting a swords downward chop. Trying to stop himself in and instant, Tier was only able to slightly step out of the way taking the end of the sword point downward across his forehead. A worried look crossed Tier's face afterwards, immediately followed by a look of exhilaration. “You're dead now...” Tier's last words seemed spacey as if it wasn't him saying it anymore.

Little did the man know, it wasn't Tier at all that had said them. Rather, his brother had become unchained, and now controlled the body. Which meant, this action of being attacked wasn't going to go unnoticed.
