Rune Knight, Brawl Night! Empty Rune Knight, Brawl Night!

Post by Albafica Temero 25th April 2019, 12:57 pm

Era, a city that to the young mage had always seemed so quiet and calm. Even though only weeks prior the azure-haired mage had been one of the attacking forces to pull the offensive upon the very institutional organisation that had its headquarters located here; The Rune Knights. He'd committed heinous deeds towards both this law-enforcing institution and the people of Era alike, for no goal he could've called even remotedly legitimized. But he'd done it because it felt like a way to find the powerful… and ironically, it *had* brought him to one of those most-powerful people he had been so desparately looking for. His change of heart had depended on his almost instant defeat at the hands of General Mythal Ragnos; a man Albafica revered and both feared. They'd allowed him to join their forces when he had come knocking on their door. Even though the young mage all but justified his deeds… and he would never come to pay for them either. He'd repent forever for the sins he'd wrought, and for once he did not mind being entitled to such a fate.

But his days as a new recruit had been boring; the training, despite harsh, was nothing compared to the training he'd received at the Sanctuary. He kept up without effort, much to many of his fellow recruits’ surprise. It bothered him little; it was part of his sentence, and part of his loyalty towards this new cause… be it that at this point, he only acknowledged two people in this entire city. Mythal Ragnos, General of the Spec Ops branch and the main reason Albafica had denounced his evil ways, and the woman Mythal respected, Serilda Sinclair, the Field Marshall and leader of the Rune Knights. He'd been sceptic at first, but not acknowledging her would thwarth his actions far more greatly… and, although reluctantly, he had to admit she was a nice person to be around. As far as he was around people. The azure-haired mage shook his head and stared out over the many streets below. He should stop daydreaming and head on down. A job had been entrusted to him, so he better get to it before another did.

Word had spread of a stranger beating up people to such an extend that most had been hospitalized at best. The reports had been numerous, but equally vague about the details. The victims were never specified, and the bystanders and witnesses too weren't of much help… some stated the people being criminals, scum and all else that made bars and streets unsafe. Other reports stated they were innocent bystanders to brawls the man had started, but aside from broken furniture and bruised bodies not much more had been found. The man had been rumoured to wander around a specific district riddling with uncanny people, with a description he wasn't much with. Male. Tall. Long, dark hair. Proficient with swords and in hand-to-hand combat, and his most unique trait; eyes the color of amethysts. Most-defining it was, but he wasn't quite planning on looking every dark-haired tall man in the eyes. Still, the gold saint figured that with a bit of questioning he could find the brawls and perhaps, a pattern. With a sigh Albafica invoked his magic,
his body glowing and shifting until it had taken the proportions of a young adult male in his early twenties, complete with a fully-equipped golden armor sporting the Rune Knight's symbol on his chest. Now looking the part, Albafica descended into the city, ready to start his investigation on this brawl-hardy fool.

Rune Knight, Brawl Night! Empty Re: Rune Knight, Brawl Night!

Ashiya had found the crime riddled alleyways and back streets to be the perfect training ground. Countless fights, countless victims saved. Despite his height, he moved like a shadow in the night, his black silk kimono provided an easy way to break up his outline, and his training in the arts of war making his every step silent and efficient.

His amethyst eyes easily cut through the darkness, as alert as his ears for any sign of danger to either himself or others. Something felt.... off tonight. Almost as if he was being hunted. He supposed it was inevitable, given how swiftly he acted and left. Few saw anything but glimpses of him.

As he came near an intersection between two alleys deep within the slums, his instincts flared, and he drew his blades, striking out to either side as he snapped forwards, dropping low, slicing the knees of two would be assailants, dropping them to the ground where they writhed in agony. As he shifted to a defensive stance and took in the situation, several more people moved in to surround him, several dropping down from the shanty roofs.

Ashiya took in a deep breath, centering himself before grinning, his eyes seeming to blaze with an inner fire as two approached to flank him. The first, a large man with a sledgehammer, attempted to bring it down onto his head. Ashiya slammed into him the moment the hammer was too high to counter, going low at the knees, and flipping the bigger man over his back, forcing him to slam into his ally, pinning him and dazing the large man. Using the shock of this move, he charged into the group blocking the far end of the alleyway, turning into a whirlwind of blood and steel, leaving six men bleeding and unconscious on the ground in a matte of seconds. Fools always think that quantity is a replacement for quality. If you walk in the way of strategy, one men is as good as ten thousand, or so the ways of his family had taught him. It has never failed him.
