Nightmare Incarnate: The Beginning (Kirahunter, Indar, Waffles, Khalix, Erza Loveheart, Daemon Spade, Marielle Sky, and Griffon Nighthunter)

Simon stared at the box and it's contents. He had listened to the recording and read the diary almost thirty minutes ago, and had immediately put them back he could seem to take his eyes of the box. It all just felt so wrong and he wanted nothing to do with the mess, but this was something that couldn't be overlooked. Someone was in danger and they were crying out for help, not to mention some kind of body possessing demon/phantom was running rampant something had to be done about all of this but if there was a vicious demon in a haunted forest there was no way in Fiore that he would go in alone. He sent out letters, he made calls over communication lacrima, and he cashed in favors like nobodies business and eventually he got a team together.

About a week later he stood by the edge of the spooky woods starring in. The whole thing was impossibly ominous, like the very woods were out to devour anyone foolish enough to enter. But Simon felt resolute in his decision to come, he wasn't going to let something like this stand in his way. Even if this was something beyond his abilities he had brought friends, allies and anyone he could get to come with him. He could feel it in his bones that this wasn't going to be easier or something that could be solved through conventional means. He curled his fists and just  gazed into the darkness of the forest.

He would hope that his friends would arrive soon this place was giving him the chills, the shakes, the hibbie jibbies and just about every variation of nerve wracking tension possible.
Simon had only gotten there about 2 minutes ago and he was already wishing he could leave, but there was no time for fear, there was work to be done.

OOC: Posting order will be determined by order of entry posts. Remember who is in front of you, inactivity will be our greatest danger in this mission with this many people.

Griffon was walking down the street when Simon called him. "A job you say... Sure me and Draco will make it." Griffon laughed and continued walking down the street. "So what do you say Draco, you up for a job?" Draco looked at Griffon and nodded excitedly. "Sure Griffon I'm always up for a job." Draco laughed and landed on Griffons shoulder. "I wonder what kind of job it is Griffon, I mean you never know if its going to be hard or not." Draco looked worried. "I'm not so sure what the job is called all I know is that Simon had found a box and apparently there is a Demon/Phantom lurking in a haunted forest. Its not that scary." Griffon looked at Draco and smiled. "Yah Griffon but your not really that scared of anything..." Draco was had a frightened look on his face. Griffon and Draco made there way to the forest and saw Simon waiting there. "Yo Simon how's it going!"

Marielle Sky
“shook” the sound of the mail, coming through Marielle Sky’s door sounded.
Standing up from where she was writing the story of her adventures inside the closed walls of her room, she sighed. “I wonder who it is”
Picking up the letter with her usual glum face Marielle read the letter from a friend she hasn’t seen for a long while.

Super MS
Super MS hopped joyfully towards the Spooky Forest, she was taking a job for Marielle again, which was usually fun and exciting. “I hadn’t had much time focusing on what the job was” Super MS thought to herself. “but, I guess it would fine” She laughed, getting excited about another mystery job.

Seeing heads up above the road. Super MS waved at her team. “Heeeelllllooooo!!!!” she screamed. Joining them, before entering the forest.

Pain stood staring at the work board and sighed, so far there wasn't that many jobs going on that was worth a real adventure. His eyes scoured the board before finally landing on a request for assistance in a spooky forest, smiling he grabbed it and stuffed it into his pocket. A spooky forest, demon boxes, phantoms and other creepy crawlies, yes this was definitely his kind of mission. Walking outside he waived the job paper towards Sora his Roc. "Hey mate, found us a job." Smiling Pain jumped into the saddle and showed Sora the job paper. Sora clacked his beak and sighed shaking his head.

Only Pain would see going into a dark spooky forest filled with monsters and phantoms as a good time, forget planning and preparation the boy if not kept an eye on would wonder for days in a circle without water or food. Sora opened his wings and after a quick run took to the skies, the fifty foot wingspan flapping until they were high above the clouds. Anyone looking up would think it was a normal eagle. "You got your food, water, maps, compass, and undies?" Sora asked. Sighing from the questions Sora was more like a big brother than a companion. "Yes, yes, yes, and none of your business...and you know the real reason I'm constantly travelling from that guild."

Sora smirked trying to hold back his laughter, he had seen it the first day they arrived and a certain someone had spoken to him. Since than Pain had been in a whole new world and often times trying to escape it before blurting out feelings. Sora of course thought it was all too funny. the pair landed fifteen feet from the others, jumping down Pain walked towards the group. "Someone needs a spooky forest investigated?" He smiled looking at the others. "Hey griff, seems like we get to do that job together after all." he nodded to the two others and walked a few steps into the forest and leaned against a tree waiting.

The Spooky forest

A ancient forest once considered a place a pure natural beauty but in the current era  within these hallow woods rest many  a dark beasts and buildings enriched with a bloody history. Within this dark forest our hero's meet an unlikely ally willing to offer them safe passage to their job destination and even willing to fight beside them for his own vision of justice.

Daemon

As the full moon rose into the night sky bathing the forest in it's radiant light. A slender man rested against a large dire wolf just a few feet off of the main path, The young man was Daemon spade the last living lunar mage. As the night rolled on at a snails pace Daemon and his Dire wolf partner caught the scent of four different mages coming closer to his present location. "Do people consider this place a playground lately, oh well maybe we can have some fun eh Lunos ?"

He asked his partner as he gently petted his back before he slowly stood up and yawned having slept for the entire day with Lunos staying by his side he was well rested and felt like he could take on an army of spirits if he had to.

Indar was walking towards the forest with a pretty fast pace. He had been waiting for this, when the team Simon made, would do this job together.  I can't believe i am doing a job with so many people i don't know, none of them are even in my guild but whatever. This job seems really interesting and when Simon told me about it, i really got interested. Seeing the Spooky Forest in the distance, Indar felt a little uneasy, like there would be something evil or paranormal in the forest. He took a deep breath and even thought he was nervous he kept going because he knew that people were waiting.
Seeing the entrance to the forest, Indar noticed the people waiting there. Hello everyone, Indar said, finally at the entrance. Having said that, Indar felt a little tired. He went to the closest tree and fell asleep next to it.

Waffles and Lucius went cautiously to the Spooky Forest, being careful of themselves. It wasn't -that- spooky for Lucius. However, the place gave Waffles goosebumps. "Errr... Lucius, are you sure that the rendezvous point of my team mates are within the Spooky Forest?" He doubted Lucius's instincts for a moment, as Lucius kept silent for a brief moment, in Waffle's brown leather sling bag. Lucius would force himself to transform, but nope. He doesn't want to. Waffles then came upon a group of mages, which seems to be his team mates. Yep. It was indeed. "Hello everyone." He said with a slight grin on his face, with Lucius still kept silent.

After a minute or two, Lucius suddenly spoke. "Lest the prayers of Loch'ness's men be fulfilled, by the name of Odin..." Lucius didn't seem to know what has happening. The reason he kept silent was because he is... praying. He is praying to Odin that Waffles will be safe, and what he said just ended the prayer. "Lucius? What are you saying?" "Erm... nothing..."

Simon allowed himself a small grin as the mages appeared one after another in rapid succession "Alright everyone. I'm glad you could all make it to this. I want to be optimistic as possible and say reassuring stuff like 'this will be a breeze' or 'we got this in the bag' just because we have managed to get such a large team for this.... But that would be giving you false hope." Simon paused examining the group around him, he was about to try and lead them into a phantom infested forest to hunt down a possessed girl that did in a squad of well train rune knights(or well Simon thought she did them in) the truth of the matter was that Simon was just scared shitless and he wanted very much to run away and leave the demon to them, but he knew he wasn't going to be able to get off the hook that easily.

"I'm going to be completely honest, I'm scared shitless by this place and I really don't think I'm capable of handling this. That was kind of the point of bringing together such a large group of mages for this mission." he sighed and his hands slipped into his pockets "I'm sorry I dragged you all into this, but I feel it was necessary. This isn't something that can be left unchecked." he put his hand on a tree and looked towards the fog "Whatever is in there is strong and savage. From my intel, it will play with our minds and attack our spirits before attacking us directly and potentially trying to kill us." he swallowed hard, he wasn't sure if anyone would die, but this threat was real and he couldn't not tell them this if they were going to come along. "So yeah, this monster is real and real dangerous. This is your last chance to turn back, but even if you all leave; I'm going in anyway."

He started a slow walk into the depths of the forest, anything could happen now. His team could follow, they might not. He could get killed, he might not. But if Simon was certain of one thing that had to happen, it was that this was a threat that needed to be terminated before it could do anyone any harm. He clenched his fists and kept walking, regardless of the risks. The hunt was on but for the first time it occurred to Simon: there was a chance that they weren't the predators in this hunt.

OOC: Thank you for all posting and coming along on this crazy job of ours. I know Simon said there was a risk of death, but that's your call no one has to die in this thread if they don't want to. While the danger is real to our characters that doesn't mean you have to kill yourself off. Have fun on our demon hunt :p

Griffon walked over to Simon and put his hand on his shoulder. Griffon looked at him and smiled. "Don't worry I'm with you all the way." He then turned to the rest of the group. "So who is coming along!" Draco landed on his shoulder and nodded looking into the forest. Griffon smiled at Draco and looked at Pain. "I'm sure you will be coming along also." Draco and Griffon both stared at the group with a big smile. He kept looking over the whole group satisfied with what he saw. "If you want to stay that's fine guys but I'm going to head out." Griffon and Draco turned toward the forest and took and deep breath and headed in. After a few seconds of walking in the forest Griffon was starting to get tired of walking. "Draco can you pick me up so I can start flying through here."

Super MS silently listened to Simon’s words. Analyzing the team’s capability of surviving. She clenched her little fists at the idea of someone dying.
“I won’t let anything like that happen” she thought to herself, and performed a tiny cute smile before everyone. Keeping her damaged feelings and emotions behind her superhero mask.

Giving out a silent deep breath, Super MS decided to follow Simon and the other guy that was already with Simon when she arrived. Her eyes sparkled, as the gleam of light showed a handsome guild crest on the man’s right shoulder. “FT” she whispered with a smile as the guy disappeared with Simon into the forest.


“Wait!” she ran and tripped before a man’s foot that, apparently was from a sleeping man. Super MS chuckled at the sight, thinking rapidly,she grabbed a few leaves, and made a funny beard, moustache, large eyebrows, eyes from a berries followed by two large leaves sticking out of his ears.
Super MS smiled cheerfully at her creation, signing a peace sign at the sleeping man, before humming and walking towards the forest with a sunny smile on her face.

Pain sighed at the mellow-drama of it all and just turned away from the others and walked deeper into the forest, his right hand raised he signaled for Sora to take to the skies and to watch them from above. The Roc made a quick nod than extending his mighty wings he lifted from the ground and went high above and started soaring in long lazy circles. Looking at the others he sighed and shook his head. The people talked to much which meant the enemy already knew they were there which to Pain meant it was time to show whatever was in there who they were dealing with.

Grabbing his coat he threw it off his shoulders revealing the powerful body of the Warrior Mage. He walked into the forest like an animal, his head moving side to side and sniffing the air for signs of life. Here he would rely on his other senses than just sight for the woods played tricks on the eyes. Breathing through his nose he smelt the deep life of the forest and made a mental note to add this place as one of his refuges for the future when needing to get away. Pains body was set low to the ground as he memorized the scent of those that were with him so he could track them in his other forms if necessary. For now though he would simply wait for it to arrive.

As Daemon walked closer and closer to the main path he had noticed several new scents appeared with the four he had marked earlier as well as the large bird circling around the area. Daemon grinned slightly as the sudden fog slowly dispersed having our young friend and his wolf partner leaning casually against a dead oak tree standing against the main path right in front of the group's path. Seeing that Daemon had a few seconds to think of a good lie he decided to pull out his lunar hunter clothing and quickly get changed . " Alright just got to make this convincing " He thought to himself as he quickly pulled the hood over his head hiding his facial features in a veil of darkness leaving only his silver eyes visible while he ordered Lunos to return to his original form as a wolf pup, Lunos nodded quickly then let out a sharp howl as he stared at the moon until he had shrunken down to the size of a six week year old wolf that jumped onto Daemons shoulder.

Daemon smiled and gently petted his partner and walked towards the group. "Such a strange sight to see nowadays to see a group of mages entering the spooky forest at this late hour, tell me what brings you to these once sacred woods ?" He said charismatically as lunos hid in a small pocket on the left hand side of his coat just before poking his head outstaring at the new people.

OOC: Well Indar has withdrawn from the job, and the entire roleplay in general. I hope you will continue this job with me. Waffles would be next now, if he doesn't post in 3 days, count him as out and it'll move to Erza. Until people start posting, we will continue this elimination till we are down to the actually active people. I'll edit this post once someone is removed. Also Nighthunter seeing as Grif died after the start of the job, if you would please continue to role play as him in this that would be awesome. Well after 3 days Waffles is out. Aaaaand 6 days, Erza you are done. Next is.... oh me aight.

Simon permitted himself a sigh of relief it was a reassuring presence knowing that a good number of them had followed him. He was a bit off set by the people who didn't come, but that was okay he could do this with the people who did come with him. The woods grew slowly denser as they entered their dark embrace. Looking around Simon didn't really see anything out of the ordinary with the woods, except it was a really dark. Well considering it was in the middle of the day it was dark, it wasn't like it was so dark that they couldn't see.

After nothing happened for a little bit Simon started talking "So we are hunting this killer demon and all that. I guess I should have asked sooner, but does anyone have any kind of experience in this kind of thing?" Simon broke a stick under foot and he jumped with a yelp "Oh sorry, I'm more on edge then I should be."
