How will my character learn about the guild?

    As stated in the guild laws;

'You're character will not know have heard about Hidden Blades before joining, essentially IC members are recruited in the guild via an anonymous invite. Selected through having seen your character in action and deciding that they had the necessary skills to benefit the guild.'

What does this mean for my introduction thread?
You can choose to either act out the recruitment meeting or skip this part and state as having already been tested for the guild IC, starting primarily at the guild hall. Should you choose to act out this recruitment test your character will receive a letter of sorts, formatted as such:

` INSERT CHARACTER NAME, we are pleased to inform you that you have been invited for preliminary testing to assess your aptitude in a special business venture. We have been following your career with a vested interest and believe you to be an excellent candidate to fill a vacancy within our organisation.

Our organisation is made up of various men and women with goals and skills very similar to your own, and as such, it is only in our best interest to extend this opportunity out to you. If you are interested, please meet one of our associates at SPECIFY LOCATION & TIME. We hope to see you there.`

You may use this format for an exam or a freeform job should you wish, and tweak the letter to suit your character as necessary. Note, the location for a recruitment test cannot be held at the Hidden Blades Guildhall. Recruitment tests can only be accompanied by an Ace or GM, as they are the only ones privy to information on guildmembers initial identities. Should you want to do this without an Ace or GM, you can alternatively arrive at the location and receive a letter stating the job you have to perform in order to pass the guild requirements. However should you choose it this way, you will still need an introduction with an Ace or GM at the Guildhall in order to be stamped with your guild mark.

Do I have to wear the uniforms all the time?

Only on a job where you are representing HB's or doing work for the guild. If you are in the Guildhall or a Guild Territory, for example, you may walk around out of uniform. You don't HAVE to wear a disguise if you don't want to. However, it is recommended should you wish to make your characters true identity even less discoverable. However, you CANNOT reveal your character's true name to any members, barring Directors or the Chairman, who may potentially have this on file from when they recruited you (This can be negotiated OOC).

How does the uniform work with Takeovers and ReQuip?

So the way the uniforms work is that they are made of a magical compound that adapts to the users magic. Meaning that when a takeover is used; as the body shifts in form, the uniform will work around it to compensate for that takeover so that it can be used to its full effect. What it will not do is reveal the identity of the user, therefore regardless of how much the wearer changes, the wearers face stays hidden. Should the face change shape, the mask will mould to the shape of the face, I.e. if the user grows a set of fangs in which they use to bite, a mouthpiece will open up around the user's mouth, but will still attempt to cover as much as possible. As per the guild's guidelines, it is essential that the member's identities remain a secret, removing the mask to use takeover or to reveal a takeover form is strictly prohibited.

In term of ReQuip, any weapons should not alter the appearance of the uniform, unless it is specifically attached to the body. If it is, the uniforms will disappear under the Requip, for example, should the takeover use an armour of sorts. HOWEVER, at no point can any skin, hair, or physically recognisable features when using a Re-Quip, as it breaks the Guild Law of non-exposure. Should you claim an armour from the Guild Items, and upgrade it, you cannot use it as a ReQuip, as this would classify it as a spell, and spells can be negated as well as having a duration that will expire. If a ReQuip is negated, destroyed or outlasts its durations, upon disappear the Uniform will have already emerged underneath it, therefore there is no timelapse of exposure. Because the uniform is made of a magical component, essential it has the flexibility to mould and reform to all shapes, and sizes, meaning it does not restrict movement.

So I can upgrade the armour?

Yes, the armour will be available as a free item from the guild vault that members can automatically receive under application. They can also pay their own jewels to upgrade the armour as long as the concealment abilities remain intact and unchanged.

Can I wear an alternate uniform once I advance?

Within Reason. I understand the uniforms may not suit everyone and am willing to allow for some slight deviations as long as the general look is quite similar. Also, they must abide by the guild laws, concealing everything; skin, hair, and any recognisable features whatsoever. This is not up for negotiation; when you apply to change your uniform, it must be approved by The Chairman.

    Can people see my Guildmark?

No, the guild marks have an enchantment on them that makes it invisible to anyone that isn't branded with the same mark. Therefore, guild marks can only be seen by other members of Hidden Blades. This is a non-negotiable factor.

How do I move up into a specialised department?

The requirement is the completion of FIVE jobs as a member of Hidden Blades, at LEAST two of which must be done with another guild member. Once completed, you can submit you're advancement here. It is also important to note that in order to advance, you also need to have completed an initiation/intro where you're character receives a stamp. However, you can actually include your intro in your required thread count for advancement.

Can I use socials for advancement?

Yes, however, these must be done with Guildmembers and must consist of some plot involving Hidden Blades, i.e. job strategising/discussions. In order to include these socials, you must get the approval of the Chairman. Directors cannot approve these alternatives.

What kind of Jobs can I take as a Hidden Blades member?

Because we are a dark guild, the jobs you will be permitted to take as a member of HB will generally be dark, and neutral. These don't have to be associated with HB, for example, you can do them out of uniform if you are not doing them for the guild but taking them on like a guildless mage would. In these circumstances, you are not to release you HB alias, nor any information about HB. Also, these jobs will not count towards your advancement into a specialised department. The guild will be producing as many guild jobs as possible for you to take should you want something more specific to the HB's plot, these can be found here.

What if I want to leave the Guild?

It is not possible to enforce anyone to stay in the guild should they want to leave or should it suit their character to go elsewhere. Essentially joining the guild put members under a contract of non-disclosure. This, of course, cannot be forced, but we would hope you wouldn't attempt to expose the guild in any way. This is built of a level of trust, should you break it, the guild will openly discredit your character via roleplay. For example, Dagger Corps resources sit in the billions; it would not be difficult for them to ruin your character reputations IC in order to discredit your claims and make them less believable to the public. They would also have the resources based on what the Chairman/Director knows about you to track you down, remember they found you in the first place, they could find you again. Of course, we will not attempt to force you into any follow-up threads with the guilds, and won't use anything that you feel would sabotage your plot. However using the guilds plot outside of the guild is not allowed, you would need the permission of the Chairman to do so. Without it, you will be breaching the COC and this may potential result in the matter being brought up to staff.
