Big Boned: Due to his life long training to handle his magic efficiently, a factor of David’s training regime since young involved breaking and naturally healing every bone in his body, this has culminated in a much denser, heavier skeletal structure than others his age, height and body type.
Scars tell tales: Due to such aforementioned heavy training to accept his family’s magic, David’s body is littered with all kinds of lingering scars and calluses that were forced to heal naturally instead of magic, this was to further his internal mana passages to flow more freely, allowing a faster activation of the Enhancement, a professional may mistake his old wounds for torture markings even when seen on a good day, David sees these remnant scars as more trophies then something to be hidden away however.


Personality:

What is a Knight? This question has always been the crux to the Bell family for generations, each member upheld a value they thought as the answer and David is no different. David’s answer has changed throughout his life, thanks to both hardships he has faced and people he loves, the current answer in the end boils down to a phrase David’s teacher, idol and Father, Redgrave (previously Reginald) said quipped.

“I think that if a person is still able to smile, they have some good in them, some good to protect”.

A statement that David believes to be true even to the most stoic of individuals, this can make the boy out as naive when forgetting the fact that he finds the matter of upholding his knightly duties or the law and believing in a criminal’s ability to change for the better. David is the type of person to give anyone a chance, even an enemy some breathing room to surrender in peace, but this faith in others is put aside for the safety of the citizens, meaning that David will never hold back when confronted with an immediate threat, deciding to act first and ask questions later.

This does not stop the boy from trying to convince criminals to turn to a healthier future after their current confinement, or feeling pity for those who truly regret their past actions and open up to him. David knows this mindset is potentially dangerous for himself and most importantly, the innocent that he strives to protect, this is why the boy tries his best to uphold his knightly values in spite of an internal conflict that may arise.

Under command, David strives to complete his tasks with a smile on his face no matter the task, he isn’t the type to shirk responsibility onto others but sometimes even pick up the slack of his comrades. David conducts his command similar to how he acts by himself, earnestly finishing the task without setbacks and in combat this translates to eliminate threats with as little casualties as possible.


Likes:
Smiling - A simple gesture when heartfelt can brighten the spirits of others, it makes people prettier too.

Hardwork - When you’re aching at the end of it, you know that a job is well done and you should be proud of that fact, no matter the new scars you’ve collected.

Fruit - Food in general actually, David sucks at cooking complex things but his knifework is decent, so making some fruit platters are nice to snack on during a break or laying around.

Dislikes:
Smoking - A habit that David’s father picked up from his own pipe smoking father, the boy would rather leave places that smell of it, or clean it completely of the filth.

Spicy food - More a weakness to the cat-tongued David, even simple spices sometimes start sending the boy into a coughing fit if he’s not careful.

Assholes - People who put others down just for the fun of it, toying with human life and treating them as nothing but a number, or not caring for the victims they create, people like that really grinds David’s proverbial gears. He’s not that naive to think those people don’t exist.

Motivations:
Become like his Father - Redgrave is a very unique sort of parent, choosing to become an adventurer instead of enlisting when young, this difference of perspective and stories of his grand adventurers, aspired David to become a true man of worth and his word like him, minus the perverted undertones his wife revealed about him

Find his answer - The Bell family is a family that has a history of serving within the Rune Knights, David hopes to find an answer to his family’s question during his active service, or at least get a better understanding on where this goal will take him

Finding a second half - Basically, a wife. David’s more distant goal is to create his own happy chapter of the Bell family, and hopefully passing on the Enhancement Magic that is the source of strength for most members of the family

Fears:

Failing his duty - As a knight, David’s worst fear is to be reason for the loss of many lives when he has the power to stop such a catastrophe.

Loss of family - Be it David’s own elder brother who is currently in jail, other family members or his comrades within the Rune Knights, the boy sees both his blood family and bond family precious, he would be gutted to find out their pain and hope he can help them strive for a better future, or shoulder potential dreams that were cut short.

Weakness - Even when stacked overwhelming odds, David will never normally falter but instead smile and grit his teeth. The fear comes when his body no longer listens, and doesn’t get up especially when his back is towards the weak. The boy wishes for such a future to not exist, and that is why he will continue to better himself until he has reached the peak.
