    The Engine Heist:

Artemis had reviewed the job thoroughly before assigning which agents he wanted working with him. It was another task involving 'Lacri-Cars', after sabotaging the Engine Showing. It seemed that they had gone ahead and developed a new engine, even better and more efficient than the C59x Torpedo. This engine was The C60 Stormbreaker and rumours were that it had the potential to break the speed record for all Lacrima Vehicles. Their client did not want this to happen, at least not without knowing what it was that made this vehicle so promising in the first place. So after going through their dummy factions, set up bay Hidden Blades. The guild had been recruited to steal the engine, following which Blanche would have it delivered to the client anonymously.

It seemed simple enough, but there was more to it than that. Because for one this job needed a team of individuals, he could have done it on his own. But the risk would be greater and it would definitely lower the likelihood of success. But who to choose, he could do the job with Troubadour and the Shark again. But then again that hadn't gone so well, Troubadour had a way of getting under your skin and although Artemis was growing a little accustomed to him. He doubted The Shark would be keen to work with him again so soon, there had definitely been a little tension there. He could take Deleronark, but it also occurred to the Guild Master that he really should attempt to get to know some of the guildmembers he was less familiar with. So after going through the list, he had managed to settle on two.

The first being, Stiletto, one of the newer members who came along to the mass recruiting. Although Artemis hadn't interacted with her much, from the reports he was getting back. The feats of work the woman was completing for the company was tremendous. She was efficient and hardworking. He was keen to see her work in person, to figure out what drove her. The second was a more myserious individual, the woman, Esper, who had quite confidently exposed her read to her guildmaster for a stamping. He wanted to see what she was capable of to. It was in a way a test for himself. For one he was going to be working with two attractive women, so he would have to restrain his urge to flirt. This had to be strictly professional...for the most part.

He waited in the alleyway he'd ordered Blanche to tell them. It wasn't fair from the Lacri-cards headquarters, which would mean they could get straight into it, once the party was together. He was wearing his full armour at currently, a version of the Unclassified armour, only painted red and black. Allowing him to blend into the shadows slightly in case anyone passed by the allyeway peeked in. He also had the ring of concealment on just in case, ready in case he would need a disguise for the job ahead. Afterall, they most definately could not get caught.

Iris found herself incredibly honored to be hand chosen by the chairman himself for a mission, though she couldn't help but ponder why. There were other much more serious members that had already proven themselves, while the beauty enthusiast had largely just squeaked by to pay her rent and for the copious amounts of booze she consumed. Ah, perhaps that was the point. Most of the others were busting their butts to prove themselves capable agents and move up the latter while she was playing it lowkey. This was probably the equivalent of being called into the boss' office to discuss job performance.

Well, if he'd just give her a few moments of his time, she could remedy any concerns he had about performance.

She had already decided that this particular female persona would be her Hidden Blade's persona and truly become separate as Esper. It added an extra layer of security for the guild, which surely the boss man could appreciate. Outside the guild walls on unofficial business, she'd return to being the ever sexy Iris Esperanza, the man associated with the Buzz Killers and the defunct guild Basilisk Fang, lover of humanity and a particular male stripper. She supposed no matter what form she was in or which guild she chose to align with, there would be equal chances to search for her original eyes and regain herself. Honestly, sometimes she had to remind herself that she was still searching.

Once clad in the appropriate uniform, Esper set out to meet her partners for the job. Blanche had indicated a certain alley to arrive in, bless that cold woman's heart. A figure loomed in the shadows, and Esper clucked to herself about how perfectly appropriate the cloak and dagger setting was for a mission start. "Hey, boss~" she purred, then gasped at how ghastly the voice disguiser made her sound. "Oh heck, I sound dreadful...rob me of all my appeal, why don't we?"

Recovering from her first encounter with audibly hearing herself through the suit, she was only reminded of how lonely she'd been lately. Small missions all alone... he'd gotten used to always being with his team. Oh well, no time to dwell on it now. "This uniform is sexy and all, but it really is a tragedy to cover me up," she commented, a tease in her voice though she was mostly serious. Oh, she understood the need to wear them very well, but being a shapeshifter, sometimes she felt she should be exempt. If someone saw her face, she could just change it. But she had to admit she was fond of this one. "I've never been fond of covered eyes..." sighed the voice, promptly dropping the subject after that. She leaned slightly on one of the alley's brick walls, realizing they were waiting for someone. "Who else is coming?"

Clad in her guild armor, Stiletto slipped into Talonia with no one the wiser to her presence. She was here to work with two fellow guild members on a job of considerable importance to the guild's interests. She was to aid her colleagues in stealing a very special vehicle engine for a "Lacri-Car", an engine that promised to revolutionize the nascent market and assure the maker's dominance for years to come. Apparently Daggercorp wanted in on the action, but it was not Stiletto's place to question the purpose behind the job... she just did what she was told and got paid.

Stiletto slipped by civilians and the occasional town guardsman without a hitch. They were far too busy with their mundane concerns to even notice her striding through the shadows with ease, as if she was their mistress. In a matter of speaking, she was. With the aid of her armor the shadows absorbed her and provided her with much-needed protection from the prying eyes of civilians, security guards, and enemies of the guild. In between the concealment provided by the armor and her own magical abilities, Stiletto could be seen only when she wanted to be seen, which was almost never.

Stiletto made it to the meeting site without being detected and silently entered the alley that Blanche had suggested the Hidden Blades operatives meet up in. It was in a location that most people did not care to visit, so it was well-suited as a temporary refuge for the Hidden Blades operatives. There they could make their plans in relative secrecy with little fear of being discovered unless they deliberately drew attention to themselves. Since no one had followed her or the other operatives, Stiletto entered with confidence.

The operative paused when she spotted her colleagues waiting in the alley. One of them was a new guild member, someone she had never seen before and whose codename she had not yet learned. The other was a familiar face, so to speak. The other was none other than the guild leader himself, a fellow known only as The Chairman.

"I apologize for the delay in my arrival." Stiletto quickly apologized to her fellow operatives. She had been selected by the chairman himself for this job, but she had no idea that he would be joining them in the field. This job must be of the utmost importance to Hidden Blades and its corporate benefactors if The Chairman had deigned to join them.

"I am Stiletto." Stiletto introduced herself to the new operative. Stiletto had not worked with either The Chairman or the new person before. She would be evaluating them as much as they would be evaluating her.

Artemis heard the steps towards the opening of the Alleyway and glanced over to the first agent to join him. He heard her spoke, her voice disguiser altering her tone. She seemed rather displeased by the way it made her sound, causing him to smirk under her mask. This had to be Esper. She would continued on to mention her feelings about the uniform, saying that it was sexy but alas an inconvenience. He resisted the urge to chuckle at her remark, he had to be serious afterall. Even though it was a relief to be working with someone a little more easy-going in nature. "A tragedy indeed." He replied, unable to hide the hint of amusement in his tone. She would make an offhanded comment about being fond of eyes, although he decided not to comment on that one. He cleared his throat, before replying to her question. "Stiletto will be joining us shortly."

It wasn't long after that that she arrived, also donned in the armour assigned by the guild. She would apologize for arriving late. "It's quite alright," He commented, she wasn't really late. He pushed himself off the wall, turning towards the two women as he addressed them both. "Blanche should have given you a break down of the job, but the sake of the mission I'll reiterate. Lacri-cars are in possession of an engine titled the C60 Stormbreaker, our client wants it. We're going to need to break into the headquarters, locate the engine room and nab the engine." He reached for his belt, pulling out the burner iLac, he pressed a few buttons on the screen. Turning it towards the woman, the screen would display a snapshot of the engine, so they would know what they were looking for. "Stealth is going to be our friend here, and we may need disguises if we run into any personnel." He turned the screen back to himself, swiping once more, he turned it again only this time it displayed two images of Lacri-Cars personnel. Women who worked at the company who just so happened to be off tonight, one of which listed under the name Elena Ridgewell, a data administrator in the company and the other a Lisa Garus, one of the technology engineering specialist. Elena was a young blonde, with freckles who wore her hair in a high ponytail. Lisa was a redhead cut in a sharp bob and bright green eyes.

"You may choose which woman you wish to impersonate. Do you have your 'Rings of concealment'?"He would ask them both, although he had spared on his person if they didn't. His silver band sat on his middle finger, ready to be used if needed. A nifty little gadget, even if it was redundant for certain members. Troubadour certainly didn't need it. But not everyone was gifted in that skillset of being able to create illusions over their armour. In fact, it had been the quirky little fellow that had been the inspiration for its creation. Not that Artemis would give him the credit, the boy didn't need his ego inflated any more than it already had.

As the last of the group arrived, she nodded a greeting to the other female, Stiletto. Codenamed after a sexy shoe, eh? Esper would take it as a good sign. "I'm Esper," she offered in return, still baffled by the voice changer's destruction of her honeyed vocal cords, but slowly growing used to it. Beyond that she fell quiet, not having much to say and turning her attention back to The Chairmen as he got started.

He explained that they were after an engine. She was so glad he had because he had basically no idea what they were doing. "Uh-huh, uh-huh," Esper listened, soaking in the information she'd skipped out on when Blanche tried to nearly force it into her brain. The alien had waved it off, bouncing into motion as soon as she had the meetup location. Coming prepared would have been preferred of course, but she couldn't be too on-the-ball or they may start expecting big things out of her. Esper was certainly averse to being relied upon and gaining nasty responsibilities. She wasn't lazy, but she was selfish enough to not want her party time or her search for her eyes to be impeded upon by management. Doing the bare minimum and enjoying her time was much more her speed.

"Oof," the woman huffed at the sight of the engine, recoiling a bit. "That's gonna be suuuper heavy, boss. I love everything about cars, but more so when they are put together and roadworthy with a cushy back seat. Are you gonna use your impressive muscles and carry that thing out yourself?" Esper asked in horror, though within seconds it morphed into keen interest. "Actually, I'd love to see that~" she purred, letting a suggestive chuckle drift through the voice changer.

Either way, he'd continue to explain, bringing her thoughts back to the mission and laying out the plan. Stealth and disguises. Wasn't that a given? He asked about the rings, to which she playfully flipped him off to show him she had it since it was on her middle finger as well, but then it registered that she actually needed to chose which of the women's identities she wanted to steal. "Oh god, I choose Lisa!" Esper jumped, nearly seeming panicked. Stiletto simply couldn't take the better-looking one! If this mission would play at all to her strengths as a person and not be a complete bore, she needed a form that allowed her to act as naturally as possible. "That other poor girl just doesn't have any pizzaz at all. She needs a makeover, and even then I'm not certain that would do any good.." the woman tsked, wasting no time using her ring of concealment, redundant as it may be for her. Within seconds the secret keeping armor was illusioned away and replaced with the attractive red-head in the photo. The galactic native gave the short bob a sassy hair-flip, especially pleased with the lovely emerald eyes. It was a shame the real Lisa wasn't here to give such scrumptious things up. "Lisa might not be as beautiful as me, but she'll do. How do I look, boss~?" the new Lisa teased, completing the look from the neck down with a fitted white button-up blouse and a black pencil skirt. Reaching to unbutton an extra button or two at the bust, a flirty smile crept onto her lips. Showing a bit more skin was always a good tactic for a nice distraction when impersonating someone whose personality was a complete mystery. "Is this something an electronic engineering specialist would wear?" her voice lilted with excitement, starting to gear up for the task at hand.

Post by Diana Winchester 6th May 2019, 6:36 pm

Stiletto received the greetings of The Chairman and of Esper, her other teammate for this assignment. Both of them seemed ready for action. That was good because a picture of the objective was shown to her by The Chairman and it looked to be quite the prize. It was a motor vehicle engine in pristine condition, but it was no run-of-the-mill engine.

It was an engine in the possession of a company named Lacri-cars and the engine was called the C60 Stormbreaker. The client wanted the engine intact and was willing to pay good money to receive it. However, the company was certainly not going to leave the engine lying around unsupervised like it had at the test track. This engine was going to be heavily guarded and monitored in high-security areas that were off-limits to all but a certain few individuals who were granted clearance... and the three Hidden Blades members who were going to infiltrate the facility. The Chairman had anticipated the difficulty of the task and had inquired if Esper and Stiletto had brought their special guild-issue rings with them. Esper held up hers and replied in the affirmative.

Stiletto fished her own ring out of her armor's pocket and presented it to the pair on her right ring finger.

"I have brought my ring as well." Stiletto calmly announced in a robotic voice that was strained through the voice-changer built into her helmet. She was glad that The Chairman had planned ahead because sneaking around a facility in her armor would be difficult, even with special properties of the armor and her own magic. Stiletto could eliminate her prints and hide from electronic surveillance devices, but there was little she could do to hide from human surveillance except hide in a shadowy place and hope for the best. There would be very few shadowy places inside the facility where the engine was kept. She saw that The Chairman had planned ahead even further when he presented two pictures of two women employed by the company.

He explained that they were women who worked at the company who just so happened to be off tonight. One of them was listed under the name Elena Ridgewell: she was a data administrator in the company. The other was named Lisa Garus and she was one of the technology engineering specialists. Elena was a young blonde with freckles who wore her hair in a high ponytail. Lisa was a redhead cut in a sharp bob and bright green eyes.

Esper enthusiastically transformed into the redhead, leaving Stiletto with no other choice but to transform into Elena. Stiletto ignored Esper's derogatory comments on the blonde employee and used the power of her ring to transform into a flawless copy of the blonde data administrator complete with freckles and a high ponytail. Stiletto wore a white long-sleeved button-up shirt under a gray jacket and a gray pencil skirt with black dress shoes. The outfit was similar to what she wore on a daily basis and it was sufficiently "office lady" to pass inspection. Stiletto was pleased with the special ring and would be certain to use it for future jobs.

"I am ready." The new Elena calmly announced. She would wait for The Chairman to fill her in on anything else that she needed to know before the trio went into action. Hopefully he had done some research into the lives of the employees so that Esper and Stiletto could flawlessly imitate Lisa and Elena and infiltrate the facility without attracting any more attention than necessary.

As he showed the girls the engine, Esper made another remark, referencing the engine and its size. Despite the playfulness in which she said it, she made a point; it would be heavy. Although, he could probably manage it, especially if he let Morte take over a little. "I have the means, but the likelihood is we'll need to get to a vehicle as quickly as we can. If need be Blanche can send a car over at our request, but we'll have to play it by ear. It really depends on if we can manage this without getting noticed. I should imagine the engine is going to be well guarded."

As the two girls transformed, Artemis would nod, satisfied. Once again Esper would make a playful comment, asking her boss how she looked. Normally, he might have offered her a more playful answer, but they were about to start the mission and he knew he had to show them it was time to be serious. "Convincing enough," Artemis would activate his own rings ability, over his uniform an illusion forming. He was slightly taller than he normally appeared, a man in his late twenties, with dark brown hair that was about an inch in length, styled with gel. He had blue eyes and wore a tailored grey suit. "From now on you'll know me as Trent Clarkson, one of the Lacri-cars executives in charge of overseeing the engine's debut. Now, remember, try not to behave in such a way that might draw to much attention to ourselves. We may look like these employees, but it'll be difficult to mimic their personalities. However, we can speculate that if Lisa and Elena were charged with escorted an executive, that they would behave with strict professionalism." The last part was aimed at Esper, eyeing the unbuttoned blouse in a pointed manner. He pulled out several entry cards, created by the Support division. With the information gathered from the Intelligence department, they had managed to gain access passes into the building, with class A level access. Which from the intel the Intelligence division had gathered, would be enough to give full access to all of the buildings departments.

He would check his burner lac once more, before putting it away. "Right, time to move." With that he would stride past the ladies, expecting them to follow after him. Moving out of the alleyway, they would begin to walk towards the Lacri-Cars office building. Moving at a steady pace so as to not draw attention, after a short while, they reached the building. It was a large building, several stories in height, the kind of high-end office building you expected to find in the city. With glass windows, looking in on office workers. It was fairly late in the evening, meaning that the majority of the employees would have gone home, save of a few late workers and security. It was ideal this way, they were less likely to run into any interference this way.

The front entrance was made up of a revolving glass door, Artemis stepped up to it, waiting for the other girls to move into the same sector of the doors, before continuing forward into the main entrance. It was as suave and stylish as he'd expected. With its black marble flooring and cream walls, decorating with pictures and paintings of Lacri-cars and their history. He approached the desk, striding past it with the air of confidence that would be carried by an executive, he would reach the metal barriers in place to the left side of the reception. Swiping his entry card across the scanner. There would be a pause, a pause that dragged on a little longer than the Chairman would have liked. Then there was a beep and a light on the barrier went green, opening up for him. He strode on through to the other side. Taking a few steps, before stopping to wait for the girls.

"I highly doubt anyone could remain strictly professional in the presence of that hair gel and well-tailored suit, Mr. Clarkson~" she idly responded, unable to help herself. However, after that she assumed the personality she felt best suited Lisa, based on shallow sight alone. A bit stuck up, coy, nonchalant and definitely more intelligent than most men were willing to recognize. Professional, but not dead and dusty. No, Lisa was a vibrant businesswoman who took what she wanted and tolerated no one's crap. She was both intriguing and intimidating.

Esper followed dutifully, lingering toward the right side of the disguised chairman so there would be enough room for Stiletto on the left. All important men and their entourage, regardless of occupation, walked in a V formation. It was common knowledge. The currently red-headed woman walked with the confidence of a CEO, clacking her heels on the expensive ebony marbled floors like she owned the place. Like she belonged, which as far as anyone knew, this fake-Lisa totally did. The assumed personality wasn't really a stretch the way Esper saw it. Anyone with a sharp bob and hair this bright shade of red knew they were gorgeous and could back it up with attitude. Plus, most women were moody, so any oddities could probably be explained away as a good day or bad day, that time of the month or finding a new favorite restaurant with live music that hit just right.

The deeper their security clearances took them into the facility, the more careful Esper became. While she could cover personality in confidence, meeting someone Lisa was friends with would be Esper's downfall. It's all fun and games until you forget Becky's name, the woman you've been best friends with for six years. Esper kept her burner iLac out, trying to seem as busy with important information and unapproachable as possible. Avoiding eye contact would discourage any who might expect certain behaviors from her, and her proximity to her very important boss would be a deterrent as well.

Inevitably, though, the mission had to hit an unavoidable snag. "Lisa!" came a call from a left hallway, off course from the beeline the infiltrating trio was making. Esper tried to cold shoulder it, hoping the man would read the room and back off. Sadly, this guy had confidence in spades and balls enough to strut right up to all three of them and pause their objective. "My apologies Mr, Clarkson, Ms. Ridgewell. I need to borrow Ms. Garus for just a moment. It's urgent business," the handsome man insisted, brilliant robin egg eyes gleaming beneath curls so black they seemed blue. He glanced at Lisa intently. It was all Esper needed to know this urgent business was anything but what it seemed.

"I'll take care of it," she said curtly to her co-workers, breaking from the V. "Go on ahead. This shouldn't take very long. I'll catch up."

Come to find out, apparently, this arrangement was common for Bradley and Lisa. Feign important business just to get Lisa out of some of the more monotonous work, if only for a few minutes to spend with him. Esper knew romance and lust when she saw it. Before Bradley could ask about their plans for the evening or notice she was acting too differently, 'Lisa' found a few ways to distract him in his locked office. He was too pleased to question it, and soon enough Lisa was excusing herself to rejoin her party, another button mistakenly left undone and her hair parted on the opposite side of her head from before. "Crisis averted," she whispered with a smile, seeming quite pleased with herself for a multitude of reasons.

Stiletto had never engaged in corporate espionage before, so she would stick to the script as Elena Ridgewell the data administrator. That meant being the opposite of Esper's Lisa, which was not too hard. Elena kept to herself and did her job. So would Stiletto posing as Elena Ridgewell.

"Elena" smoothly swiped her entry card across the scanner and waited for clearance to enter. When the light flashed green, she knew that she had been granted entry without a hitch. Elena quickly fell in the V-formation with Mr. Clarkson in the lead and with Ms. Garus at her side. Now that she had gotten in, it was time to play the part of a shy cubicle rat.

Elena followed her employer and co-worker through the lavishly appointed entrance to the building and admired it without being too obvious about what she was doing, and what a lavishly appointed entrance it was. Its most prominent features were black marble flooring and cream walls decorated with pictures and paintings of Lacri-cars and their history, which was a nice touch that added some sorely needed style to an otherwise sterile corporate edifice. Elena then focused on what needed to be done and followed them through security checkpoints of increasing difficulty. This was the part where Stiletto would have to play it cool.

Elena had very few friends, but she did have co-workers. If those co-workers were anything like Elena, they would undoubtedly be the type that stayed late to finish up one assignment or another and greeted the cleaning staff when they arrived to clean the office before the next work day. The blonde took a page from Lisa's book and brought out her burner iLac and pretended to be busy. She remained calm when a co-worker of Lisa's had swooped in to "borrow" Lisa for a few minutes and watched Lisa go with the man.

Thankfully Elena was a shy cubicle rat with no romantic attachments, only a marriage to the job for which she had been hired and a deep and abiding love for technology, which included the iLac. That made the blonde's life easier and harder. It would be easier because she would not have to feign attachment to anyone but harder because the fake Elena was not privy to the details that the real Elena was. A simple question could ruin the whole plan, so it was important to look busy and look very busy.

Elena calmly waited for Lisa to return and was rewarded with the sight of a sightly disheveled Lisa returning in triumph with an expression that was suitably pleased. Her gambit had saved the trio from discovery... not that Esper appeared to mind the detour that much. The blonde did not comment and looked up from her iLac only to make sure she did not walk into a wall or veer away from her colleagues and stray off the path to the objective. Elena had not encountered any co-workers yet because they were probably holed up in their offices or cubicles crunching numbers for yet another company project.

Stiletto counted her blessings and waited for "Mr. Clarkson" to continue to lead them deeper into the facility and towards their objective. Stiletto was a Support operative who worked best when unseen and would defer to her more sociable colleagues. She would have to be patient and play her role to keep the disguise intact and the mission on track.

Artemis made the decision not to respond to Esper little comment about his appearance, instead, he would set about on leading them to their destination. Trying his best to look as though he was familiar with the place, as though he was meant to be there. He had already taken a look at the floorplan of the building and had a good idea where he was going. Although he did have a copy saved to the Burner iLac if need be. The girls followed along dutifully, doing their part to appear as though they were accompanying him through the building, towards whatever arrange meeting had been organised. Everything seemed to be going well, they move further into the facility without interruption, from the gist of it. People seemed to be a little intimidated by Trent's position. Having one of the companies executives wandering past seemed to arrange, the look down and avoid eye contact kind of reaction. Something that worked in Arty's favour as he held the mans head high, trying to mimic the air of importance that he's own father seem to wear when he strode through Dagger Corp.

However their undisturbed stroll through the Lacri-Cars office building would obviously reach it's peak. As Lisa, the engineering specialist Esper was impersonating, would be approached by a man. Apologising to Artemis, whose expression turned quickly sour as he stared down the young man. His demonically enhanced nose could practically smell the mans intentions, the scent of arousal and pheromones that exuded from his pores. Artemis would glanced at 'Lisa' who made the decision to handle the fellow herself. She excused herself from the group, wandering off the man. Artemis gritted his teeth, his fist slightly clenched. This was not part of the plan, he could only hope that Esper know what she was doing, the two would continue on. Although Artemis would move a little more slowly, so as to give Esper some time should she need to catch up. Further along, he would stop, "We'll wait here a few minutes." He said, pulling out his phone, he would be pretending to look through as though Trent was looking for something to show Elena.

A short time passed, and Esper returned, her expression quite smug as she declared she'd done her job. The smell of sex lingering on her body, not to mention her clothes was still very dishevelled. "Give me strength~" He mumbled under his breath, reaching up to rub his temples. She'd only gone and seduced him, and all the while it was a good means of distraction. What would happen when the real Lisa returned to work and that man mentioned it to her. Well, maybe it wouldn't matter, after all if it was a secretive rendezvous with no witnesses. At the very least they're cover was blown, but it was still a risky move. It also told him that Esper would literally do anything to ensure the success of the mission, either that or she just really wanted to sleep with him, perhaps both. "Let's move on quickly, fix yourself up on the way. He instructed, turning to continue through the building. He would stride with a little more purpose, giving off a vibe that the next person that tried to interrupt the group would earn themselves a serious bollocking. It seemed to work because finally, they arrived at the engine lab. Artemis swiped the pass, which would allow him to enter, he noticed a guard standing at the door. He would show his pass. The guard nodded, to allow him through but would go to stop the girls. "They're with me." He ordered sharply, the guard looked at him, an uncertain look on his face as he considered the ramifications of doing his job or pissing off his superior. With Trent's face, Art would narrow his gaze dangerously at the man, which seemed to do the trick as he nodded and let them through. As the doors shut behind them, Artemis would look around. As intelligence had learned, this was the point the laboratory remained undisturbed. So as luck would have it, the Laboratory was empty.

"One of you keep guard, one of you locate the emergency exit, see if you can find a trolley of sorts, something to wheel the thing along with." He instructed moving throughout the laboratory. His eyes fell on the engine Artemis didn't know a great deal about engines, but he could tell this one was exquisite. The intricate design and the mechanical structure, it was clear that a lot of work had gone into perfecting it. It was currently locked away in a glass box, he eyed the keyhole to the side of one of the panels. Fortunately, it was a security panel of sorts but something a little more old fashioned and easier to work with. Perhaps they didn't think anyone would actually have the audacity to attempt stealing it. "Either of you good at lock-picking?" He would ask, figuring that would be the best option.

Even if the Chairman was bamboozled, Esper was proud of herself as ever. She nodded to him as he told her to fix herself up, and did just that has they made their way further through the facility while remaining unbothered and blissfully undercover. This usually wasn't the type of work she thought of when the term "undercover" was used, but it wasn't all bad. While her current form wasn't nearly as pretty as her preferred female form, Esper was quickly growing to like impersonating other people. What a fun game. She'd never considered it before, but it was proving to be quite entertaining...

As they finally reached their destination, she found herself on exit and cart acquiring duty. "Not a lockpick yet. Sorry, boss," she tossed at him as she turned, moving quickly out of sight though the piercing clack of her heels let them know she hadn't just run off and left them despite how long she was gone. With all the panels and cubicles and display cases with motors and parts in them, it was a maze trying to find a viable exit that wouldn't have them strutting back through the facility with their stolen prize. At last, in the very back, she found a door that didn't lead directly into someone's office or to another department. This one appeared to be the hall to the loading docks of the building, likely where big trucks dropped off the expensive, secret, and experimental parts needed to build these ultra-cool engines. Again it seemed security was more concerned about keeping unauthorized people out than keeping their machines in, so there was a high-tech keypad on the outside in but nothing to keep them from waltzing right out to a vehicle ready to load them up and take them away. Nice. Pulling her head back into the room, she only had to go a few more paces to find a cart that helped move heavy deliveries around. This would do.

The heel clacks were now accompanied by a particularly squeaky wheel as she made her way back to where she left the pair, her part of the job done. "Did you get it unlocked? I'm pretty sure we have a clear shot out unless there's some sort of alarm that I didn't see. The exit leads right to the loading docks. Convenient, eh~?" she purred, popping her lovely booty up onto the cart to rest until they were ready for it.

Elena blinked when she heard Trent's request. He needed someone able to pick locks and Stiletto was not very good at it, having only the barest knowledge of the skill and having not exercised it in years since her expertise lay in finding ways to get around around locked doors, not picking locks. However, Esper had done her job by locating both the cart needed to haul away the engine and the exit they would need to take when the heist was complete. Now it was up to the blonde to save the job.

Stiletto was more than a little incredulous when she spotted the lock she had to get through. It was a simple, old-fashioned mechanical door lock paired with an equally simple security panel. The panel would be little challenge to her anemic skills, but the real challenge would come in keeping patrolling security guards and roving staff members from discovering what they were up to. Elena was a data administrator, not a technician.

"I will disable the alarm, then I will pick the lock." Stiletto informed them in a soft voice. If she did not disable the alarm it would sound when the door opened. This would take a bit of doing, but it would have to be done if the trio wanted a silent entry into the laboratory where the object they were after was kept.

"Please watch my back." Stiletto requested of The Chairman and Esper in a soft voice while she set about her delicate work. Stiletto kept her ability to leave no fingerprints on as she easily levered off the security panel with her fingers and a little bit of effort that was slightly noisy. Stiletto held her breath as she gently lowered the front of the panel with wire still attached and surveyed the internal components.

This would be even simpler than she thought. Stiletto quietly and calmly disconnected the red wire which connected to the loud alarm, then quietly disconnected the blue wire which connected to the silent alarm. Both alarms would ruin the day of the Hidden Blades operatives if triggered, but now they would not have to worry about either alarm being set off. With that delicate work done, Stiletto gently put the panel back into place and a CLICK sounded... aside from the noise of the panel being put back into place, no one would know that both alarms were disabled.

"The alarms are disabled. Now to pick the mechanical lock." Stiletto stated softly. She produced two bobby pins from her pocket and knelt down to work the pin in the lock. This would be the noisiest part of the delicate procedure, so the vigilance of her colleagues would need to be heightened. The mage listened to the pin as it was jiggled about in the lock and the pins in the lock began to move one by one.

Stiletto paused and took a breath, then steadied her hands. She began to work the pins again and had three pins to go before the lock would be opened. Knowing that they did not have all day to take the engine, Stiletto kept at the task and managed to get another lock pin up. A half-minute of careful work moved another pin out of the way, leaving only one standing between them and their goal.

Stiletto ignored her aching knees and continued to work on the lock. A minute-and-a-half of work later and the last pin was up. Stiletto withdrew the pins, placed them in her pocket, and stood up straight. She faced "Trent" and spoke to him.

"The lock has been picked and the alarms are disabled. After you." Stiletto deferred to The Chairman, granting him the honor of entering the laboratory.

As Artemis looked over the lock, Esper would remark that she wasn't able to help with that in particular. Instead, she seemed to follow his other instruction and was searching for an exit for them to use. It seemed that instead Stiletto would attempt to handle the lock, which was ideal. The only other way Artemis could see himself getting to the engine would have been to smash the glass, and that would have definitely set off the alarms. Artemis moved away, watching the entrance to the lab carefully as the blonde got to work. Focusing on his senses to determine whether anyone was approaching, there would be those who walked past the laboratory. But no one actually moved to enter it. He would nod as the woman behind him informed him that the alarms were disabled. This was good, he glanced over as Esper returned with a cart, listening as she explained what she'd found. An ever so slight smirk crept onto his lips for a moment, he would reach for his burner and send a quick coded message to Blanche.

Once Stilletto confirmed the lock was dealt with, Artemis moved in, opening the door of the glass container holding the engine. He would eye it for a moment, it didn't appear to be fastened down. "Be prepared to move, once this is on the trolley, we make for the exit." He instructed before reaching down. Wrapping his arms around the hunk of metal, his hands would find a point to grip before slowly lifting the engine off of the metal counter. He gritted his teeth slightly if it hadn't been for Morte's fusion with his body giving him extra strength, there would have been no way he would have been able to lift the thing on his own. He would stiffly carry the thing over to the cart that Esper had brought over, before lowering the engine down gently. Once it was on, he would quickly lead them towards the emergency exit. Once there we out of the building,  the arrived a the loading docks where a black van with tinted windows pulled up. The back of the truck open and an operative in unclassified armour opened the door. The engine was quickly hoisted into the van and the members of Hidden Blades would disappear into the night, along with the C60 Stormbreaker.
