Cyrus is a relatively one-dimensional individual on the outside, having simple thoughts, and simple desires, conveyed through simple actions, words, gestures, and emotions. Intrinsically human, he will do good because it's the right thing to do, he will do bad because it's the easy thing to do. A man who does what he has to and doesn't think about it twice. Paired with a happy-go-lucky attitude and a very approachable no-nonsense exterior, he seems like a friendly enough type upon first inspection, grinning to himself more often than not.

What this exterior masks is a rather intelligent, cunning, charismatic, and sometimes ruthless individual. He's a calm and patient individual that is hard to anger. Cyrus is observant and analytical, a fan of a "think before you act" approach expressed through a cheerful demeanor that, depending on the circumstance, can be overbearing or even come across as arrogant... and, truth be told, he really does act with the faintest touch of perceived superiority. Something he, to the chagrin of certain other individuals, makes up for with a good bit of sarcastic, realist humor. Certainly not everyone's cup of tea.

Cyrus, in battle, is a proponent of a "Punch first, ask questions later" doctrine and believes that might does in fact make right. The world runs on violence or the threat thereof, be it on a home scale, an institutional scale, or an international scale. He does not intend to be left behind. He who wields the bigger stick shall be the victor, a profoundly cynical, albeit realist view of the world. His foremost trait in this regard is adaptability and he keeps a constant eye out for changing situations, adjusting tactics on the fly, and constantly assesses, reassesses, and evaluates the success or failure of his approaches. Based on his feelings of superiority, he can also get a bit potty-mouthed and taunting once he's fired up. Adaptability makes him both a versatile follower and leader and he has no trouble functioning in either role, which is, of course, entirely dependent on the situation.

• Tea: Preferably of the herbal variety.
  
• Books: Reading helps take the mind off of other things, and losing oneself in a good book every once in a while can make for a much-needed break.
  
• Battle: A small flaw. He likes to flex his muscles and show off what he has to make sure they don't go weak on him, which makes him a bit of an adrenaline junkie.
  

Dislikes:

• Lack of Responsibility: In the end, everyone is charged with sailing their own little ship to its destination. Those who seem to push all responsibility off themselves and leave others with the tough work, though, are despicable individuals.
  
• Politics: It's all a tiresome back and forth, a means to an end for the privileged few. His view of those in power in Ishgar is anything but favorable.
  
• Nobility: Those who have it all and squander it on material gain. They, much like their wealth, titles, and possessions, almost exclusively prove to be worthless.

• Losing his Siblings: He cares deeply for his younger siblings and, along with his mother, has helped raise them. If something were to happen to them... well, let's not think about that.

What this exterior masks is a rather intelligent, cunning, charismatic, and sometimes ruthless individual. He's a calm and patient individual that is hard to anger. He's always quick to share advice when he thinks it is appropriate, which, to be fair, is probably more often than it really should be. Cyrus is observant and analytical, a fan of a "think before you act" approach expressed through a cheerful demeanor that, depending on the circumstance, can be overbearing or even come across as arrogant... and, truth be told, he really does act with the faintest touch of perceived superiority. Something he, to the chagrin of certain other individuals, makes up for with a good bit of sarcastic, realist humor. Certainly not everyone's cup of tea.

Cyrus, in battle, is a proponent of a "Punch first, ask questions later" doctrine and believes that might does in fact make right. The world runs on violence or the threat thereof, be it on a home scale, an institutional scale, or an international scale. He does not intend to be left behind. He who wields the bigger stick shall be the victor, a profoundly cynical, albeit realist view of the world. His foremost trait in this regard is adaptability and he keeps a constant eye out for changing situations, adjusting tactics on the fly, and constantly assesses, reassesses, and evaluates the success or failure of his approaches. Based on his feelings of superiority, he can also get a bit potty-mouthed and taunting once he's fired up. Adaptability makes him both a versatile follower and leader and he has no trouble functioning in either role, which is, of course, entirely dependent on the situation.


Likes:

• Tea: Preferably of the herbal variety.
  
• Books: Reading helps take the mind off of other things, and losing oneself in a good book every once in a while can make for a much-needed break.
  
• Battle: A small flaw. He likes to flex his muscles and show off what he has to make sure they don't go weak on him, which makes him a bit of an adrenaline junkie.
  

Dislikes:

• Lack of Responsibility: In the end, everyone is charged with sailing their own little ship to its destination. Those who seem to push all responsibility off themselves and leave others with the tough work, though, are despicable individuals.
  
• Politics: It's all a tiresome back and forth, a means to an end for the privileged few. His view of those in power in Ishgar is anything but favorable.
  
• Nobility: Those who have it all and squander it on material gain. They, much like their wealth, titles, and possessions, almost exclusively prove to be worthless.
  

Motivations:

• Strength: The only thing the world respects is a tough front. Gotta do what you gotta do.
  
• Staying afloat: Times have been tough, and with the coming war, will likely get tougher. He'll push his family through and make sure everyone survives.
  
• Finding his Father: Someone oughta teach the old man a lesson, and he prays that he may be the one to do it.
  

Fears:

• Losing his Siblings: He cares deeply for his younger siblings and, along with his mother, has helped raise them. If something were to happen to them... well, let's not think about that.
  
• Powerlessness: He has experienced the loss of his powers once before and it was a truly devastating blow, a repetition of which he could entirely do without.
  
• War: The extent of the conflict that plagues Ishgar is only growing, and day by day the flames burn brighter. Who knows what all they consume in the end?
