Re: Thief in Ca-Elum (Solo, Job)
The journey to Ca-Elum was a simple one. Actually even after being there and completing her task was simple. It was what one could call a good day. Everything was going Samira's way. A minor thought about it would give her reason to worry. Surely it was a chilly day in hell when everything worked out that well. The journey was uneventful, nothing particularly extraordinary happened yet, and her task was complete in less than half an hour.
The research her grandfather had left there was still in tact and saved with the master blacksmith that it had been left with. Even getting the documents themselves were a simple task when compared to the ones in Desierto that took her all around the desert and got her mixed up in things that she would rather not talk about. Here, the man just gave them to her! Shocking really. Apparently the blacksmith had recognized her from when she was much younger. On occasion back then, her grandfather would bring her along to different countries for his work, the safe ones, of course. Not that she could remember much about them, nor did she recognize the blacksmith by appearance or by name. Regardless, he saw no reason to keep them from her due to her relation, and with her reputation reaching the shores of Ca-Elum he further saw no reason not to trust her with the documents and other possessions that were left with him.
There was just one teensy-weensy little favor he had asked of her, and that was to return at a later date to assist him in a mission he had planned. Samira saw no reason yet to refuse the exchange. It wasn't as if that would be the first less than detailed request she took on, and it likely would not be the last. At the very least it would be something for future Samira to worry about and not the present Samira.

Re: Thief in Ca-Elum (Solo, Job)
With that all done Samira had planned to depart the tropical country and head back to Fiore. Though, the sounds of hammers often caught her attention on the way to leave. She often found herself stopping to see what was being worked on and even more so to see what was being sold. Jewelry, weapons, armors, and more. All of it seeming to be masterfully crafted even at the most basic of levels. Then again, it was probably easy to impress Samira with such a craft. She knew nothing about it aside from it being hard and tedious work, in her opinion. At one point a close friend of hers was supposed to teach her how to forge a sword to end the training she had gotten from said friend, but things never got that far. The friend poofed, leaving Samira to never experience what it was like to do something like that.
Oh, well. Perhaps she could learn the next time she was Ca-Elum with some spare time. For now, it was getting very difficult to not want to buy anything, especially some things for her spirits and friends.
As she was glancing around, she had heard talk about a missing hammer that had recently been stolen. Job requests had been scattered all over the place and even sent to neighboring countries with Fiore being one of them. It shouldn't have been too terribly shocking that when Samira got within line of sight of that particular small group of natives that one jumped for joy and rushed over to greet her. In her dumbfounded and surprised state that took over after having nearly been run over by the guy before he hit the brakes Samira listened to his words to piece together why he was so happy to see her.
Oh, right. She was one of those mages with a good reputation and power to the point that she had a title or two. It was pretty hard to blend in as a normal traveling mage by that point. It was embarrassing really since the guy had thought that she came to his country to personally take the job herself. That... wasn't even remotely true since it was the first time she had even heard about it. That would remain a secret though. There was little point in correcting him and making him feel like a fool while crushing his hope. Samira would retrieve this hammer if it was that important to him.

Re: Thief in Ca-Elum (Solo, Job)
Tracking the thief down was simple enough, really. The work was sloppy and easily traceable. Granted she had talents and spirits that dumbed down the job even more, but she was pretty certain anyone could have found the guy with enough time and observation. The thief's hideout was located in a cave near one of the volcanoes and hidden behind some of the tropical plantlife. No traps were set to catch intruders or authorities either. Clearly the thief had either not thought about that, or thought he was much too clever to have been found out and traced by anyone. The Goddess of Ishgar wasn't really sure which. She didn't get to ask.
Upon waltzing right inside the cave and finding the hammer, along with some other things that were surely stolen, the thief had returned to his hideout and caught her exiting the cave with the item. At first the two stared at each other, both being surprised to see the other and had yet to decide on a proper course of action. Surely a fight would occur, right? The thief would want to reclaim what he had stolen and decided was rightfully his, right?! Nope. The guy must have recognized her or was just scared out of his mind that he had been caught by someone. He panicked, screamed, and ran away while flailing his arms around like a lunatic. Samira blinked as she watched him go further and further into the distance. Well... that was a thing. Deciding that it was probably for the best that he did not get away, Samira sent a spirit after him to catch up and restrain him. He could be taken to the proper authorities. As for her, she returned to the client and gave back the hammer. Mission accomplished! Now she just had to wait for the day that she was called back to Ca-Elum.
