Hackett had hear about the group called the Rune Knights over the last few years of his life and done quite a bit of research on them. They seemed to be a group of law enforcement that is to keep the whole area they are in to keep safe for people to live in while keeping order. The number one that had coughed his eye was the fact that their name wither it be for good or bad reason had been plastered all over the new and world. So in other words was a very well-known group that if Hackett was to join said group that it could have made it a somewhat easier to get his name out there. Over the next year, he gathered up even more information up on them and found where their headquarters had been located, an that is how he had ended up here in the city of Era.

The city was that of a normal busy place with people all behaved very well because not only where the rune knights headquarters but the magic council's headquarters as well. Throughout the place are people in casual clothing, uniform of the rune knights, or that of a cloak with a button that symbols that they're part of the magic council. Than there is Hackett walking around in a black suit with his odd hair, his hair was black with frosted tips all along the ends with a mixture of both half red and half blue. Closer and closer he had gotten towards the rune knights headquarters the more the eyes of people in their uniforms of the group had stared at him as he passed by them. Finally after a little while he made it up to the does of the building for the law enforcement group, than he just kicks the doors up in a single hit from his foot. The doors flow open and slammed into the sides of the walls.

    Hey Rune Knights,
I'm here to join and work for you guys till I die!

Sadly this whole screen had more than likely hurt his chances of being accept into this law enforcement group, but with his lack of emotions this is just how he always acts. Being blunt and doing what he thinks is right happened to be just how Hackett is for better or worst. Tho when it comes to working he doesn't play around and anyone can tell that from how he performs while working if they take him in. So there is a man standing five foot and eleven inches tall in a clean and slick black suit with beautiful hazel eyes that had just kicked the doors of the Rune Knights headquarters.

Yawning, Dela stepped precariously off the last deep step between the train and the platform, her steps labored by the heavy bags she toted. Moving was such a pain, and lugging around heavy crap so soon after awaking from her travel-induced nap was even more of a pain. In fact, taking her lazy lamenting a step further, owning things to even bring with her was a monumental aggravation, but there were just some things the girl couldn't live without. Her extensive journals containing notes, proofs, and images concerning the things she deemed worthy of cataloguing away for future use were most of the weight on her back, though she had packed some clothes and a couple gaming systems. And what girl would leave her favorite plushie behind? In her left hand a pet carrier lurched side to side in protest, the two felines within growing more and more restless as the hours of confinement stretched on.

Despite all her current hardships, the lazy magical girl didn't ask for help one single time. It wasn't that she was so ambitious as to take care of her own tasks, but rather she didn't trust anyone. It might seem like luggage to pretty much anyone else, but these bags contained everything precious to the blonde, and they were absolutely not things she'd ever let just anyone get their hands on, even if they were supposedly just wanting to help.

What felt like an eternity later, Dela dragged herself to the place indicated to be where Rune Knight hopefuls gather to toss their hats into the ring. If this didn't line up with her endeavors so well, she'd have said screw it multiple times before actually arriving at her destination. Era was annoying and crowded. The uniforms she saw on existing Rune Knights made her groan and wanna hurl. Everyone was so up tight. Even though she couldn't give two craps about the Magic Council and their guard dogs, working with said entities would possibly provide her the clout and freedom to get to the info she needed to acquire, so perhaps a little tit for tat. That's how information brokering worked anyway.

The young woman had already been inside filling out paperwork on a clipboard when the doors noisily flew open and clashed with the walls. Slowly her azure eyes rose to inspect the disruption, trailing until they landed on the man responsible. "Take it down a notch, cowboy," she commented, sighing as she returned to her task. "There's about fifteen layers of red tape before they might take you up on that offer."

    Major Branwen

Ah recruitment day. This used to be a glorious event for Major Branwen. For years he would look forward to this day, as men and women alike lined up to proclaim their undying oath to the protection of Fiore and to uphold the laws and rights of the Magic Council. He had always taken great pride in seeing all the people, both young and old, that would be standing in columns and rows all along the training grounds and the barracks beyond.

But all of that had waned in recent years. Their numbers had dwindled, as the promise of adventure and excitement seemed far more relegated to the legal wizard guilds. So many of their newer recruits had left, claiming they would enjoy their time far more within those aforementioned guilds than here. Each month the number of recruits seemed to grow smaller and smaller and now even many of the veteran staff were beginning to wane and feel affected. There were a handful of hopefuls that had come this day but on each one of their faces, all Branwen could see was the possibility of another lost member. But he had introduced himself and welcomed them with open arms all the same, stating how excited he was to see what kind of potential they would show.

The Major had stepped down as the other sergeants and captains had moved in to start categorizing people by name and magical ability. He had glanced briefly at the young, blonde girl who seemed to have set herself aside from the rest of the crowd and was filling out her paperwork in silence. He noted the number of bags she had around her – apparently she had planned on moving in fully and completely. Now that was dedication he could approve of and nodded to her silently, wanting to respect her privacy.

He reached into his pocket and pulled out a pocket watch and checked the time. A picture of a beautiful blonde woman lay pressed against the cover of the watch, her proud features bringing a glimmer of hope into his singular gaze. No matter what, he at least had her to keep his hopes up. As he folded the cover closed once more and inserted the watch back into his pocket, there was a sudden burst of sound from the far side of the compound. A man stood at the gates; having kicked open the door with such force that each swinging barrier had slammed hard against the walls just past them. A proud and bold proclamation was shouted for all to hear, this man’s words falling on the ears of everyone within the training grounds. They had all stopped to see what the commotion was, a few of the guards turning and raising their magical staves just in case it was an enemy.

Branwen snorted softly through his nostrils but a small glimmer of a smile tugged on his face. Clasping his hands behind his back, he walked towards the man and stopped a few feet in front of him. “I appreciate the enthusiasm, young man, so long as your words are genuine,” he said, showing no wariness of danger. “My name is Major Branwen. I’m in charge of the Special Operations branch of the Rune Knights. It seems you are a bit late to recruitment process but that’s no problem – better late than never I always say,” he said with a small chuckle.

“Come, let’s get you to a table and have you fill out some paperwork, shall we?”
