Job Location: Spooky Forest
Job Description: A group of young students decided to get back at their headmaster by releasing his beloved pet Batty, an albino bat, into the spooky forest. One of the delinquents was caught and is to come along in retrieving the pet.
Enemies:
Weak - Wild bats, harmless but they are annoying.
Normal - Wolf, wont attack unless provoked. Attacks move - bite.
Strong - Specter, run away from it.
Reward: 1500 Jewels

Ebony fiddled with her hair as she walked towards the Spooky Forest. It was warmer today, and the birds were chirping their usual song. The birds made Ebony jealous, so wild, and so free. Not a worry in the world, apart from maybe getting eaten by another bird... Ebony laughed. Lucky things she thought as she kicked a branch. It skidded across the forest floor, bouncing up and hitting a nest. She walked up to it, inside was a bird, so small, so innocent. She couldn’t help but stare at it. How did it end upon the ground? she thought as she looked upwards. She found herself watching a flock of birds chirping madly down at her. She couldn’t just leave it there, but she couldn’t mess with nature. Her instinct told her to pick up, and so she did. She carefully grabbed its feathery wings and lifted it towards the mother. It couldn’t reach. She sighed and placed it carefully on the tree stump as she gripped a tree branch, heaving herself upwards. She grabbed the bird and placed it next to its mother. She couldn’t believe it. The mother just flew away as if nothing happened. She sighed and left the bird to fend for its own. I hope some nice bird takes it in she sighed as she reached a path. She liked the peace this forest brought. Ebony smiled, enjoying the peaceful walk through the forest even though she knew what lay beneath the thick undergrowth. Tales of beasts you couldn't imagine, creatures that lurked into your mind and corrupted your soul. Ebony looked behind her as she found herself shivering, They are just tales she said gritting her teeth as she walked further into the wilderness. A swift breeze sent her ponytail in a wave of tosses. She couldn't help but laugh. A change in the wind sent a shiver down her spine as the birds stopped chirping, "Someone, or something is here" she muttered as she fled for the safety of the trees. She quickly scampered up a small oak, trying not to make as much sound as possible. She reached about 10 ft. in the air before she finally stopped climbing. She peered her small head out of the leaves, blending with the nature. Who was it? What was it?

Now, I was supposed to meet Ebony here Leonard thought to himself. The girl was pretty much always in the hall that's why Leonard knows her a little. They were supposed to meet at the Spooky Forest which to his surprise wasn't spooky at this time of the day. The sun was up shinning on them and there were birds and other cute small animals as if this wasn't the nesting place of dark creatures and demonic spirits. Indeed, Leonard had been to these parts before and he'd always let his guard up, however, he felt like that wasn't necessary, well, for now at least. Journeying on deeper which seemed like he was going in circles, he finally found himself in a familiar area. Leonard found himself on an area wherein he commonly goes to whenever he's here in this forsaken place. And to his luck, Ebony was nearby but she hasn't felt her, yet. So Leonard thought of a dynamic entry, Leonard climbed up a tree and jumped to the next one and to the other until he was near Ebony. Unfortunately, she caught wind of a presence, obviously it was him she sensed. He saw her climb and blend with the area but Leonard saw it all and knew where she was. He breathed slowly this time and was light on his feet until he got to a place directly above Ebony. The set up was perfect, all he needed to do now was talk and that's what he did "So who you hiding form?" he asked her in a rather uninformed way as he snatched up a fruit nearby and ate it.

Ebony jumped nearly ten feet in the air as she heard the voice of a stranger, she quickly readied herself for an attack only to realise it was Leonard. She frowned. Obviously he snuck up above her, but how? She shrugged and gave him an evil look as he laughed. Then again, should I expect anything less from my Guild Master she thought as she jumped down onto the ground landing with a thump. She smiled up at Leo, "Shall we start moving then?" she asked excitedly. She didn't really speak to the Guild Master often; he was probably busy doing other things, so it was nice to finally go on a mission with him. They walked along a rocky path, well; it wasn’t much of a path, more like a rocky strip of sand. She kicked a rock, sending it tumbling down the hill and into the undergrowth. As her eyes adjusted to the light, a faint outline of a little shack could be seen. ”Why don’t we stop there? Just to have a look and ask if they saw a bat?” she asked hopeful that Leo would say yes. She went anyway, sprinting towards the little shack. She didn’t take as much caution as she did before, resulting in her tripping over a tree branch and into a ditch. Ugh… she thought as she looked up. She stood up and looked through the tunnels, Three tunnels, maybe this is somewhere where bats would hide she muttered as she heaved herself out of the hole and onto solid ground. She patted the dust of her clothes as she randomly just sat there, waiting for Leo to catch up.

Leonard watched as his plan of sneaking worked. Apparently it made Ebony fly ten feet up. Well would you look at that, she could fly. Haha guess she won't be needing me he thought to himself as he laughed while still on the tree. However, Ebony did give him an evil look which meant the fun was over. He jumped down from the tree about the same time Ebony landed with a thump. Leonard came over and reached his hand out for her to help her get up "Hey I'm sorry, the mood was kinda perfect so I made a go for it. Besides, you're one of the fun loving people of the guild. And I don't get to speak to you often. Though I don't know why since I'm always free." he said to her cheerfully. Indeed Leonard haven't had any personal conversations or times with the others which saddened him greatly. So he's been thinking of ways to get them all together so he could know them on a more deeper and personal level. As the excited Ebony decided to go on ahead they strode down a strip of rock and saw Ebony kicking a rock. That kind of gesture got to him, maybe what he didn't wasn't right or Ebony is upset about something? He really didn't know. Anyway, as they got to a shack, Ebony voted that they should check it out and without another word, Ebony made a run for it. But as the girl tripped, it made Leonard so worried and hoped she was okay, he was too far to be of any help so he decided he should always keep with the energetic girl. As he dashed to see her condition, they came upon three tunnels which looked liked bat caves. Ebony was there sitting and that made Leonard relax "Were you hurt? You got me so worried. You might wanna be more careful next time." he said in a friendly manner not in a way a parent would scold a child when the same thing happen to them. With that, Leonard inspected the tunnels carefully, the entrances had a foul smell but they were dry. "Place kinda looks it hasn't been used in a while." he said. "So this is your job, and I'm only here to help you out. So, what do you wanna do now?" he said in anticipation. Normally he would decide but he didn't this time because of another reason. He didn't know what to do.

Ebony scratched her head, "Yea, I'm fine thank you for the concern" she said smiling as Leo asked her if she was alright. She looked back down at the tunnels, "So this is your job, and I'm only here to help you out. So, what do you wanna do now?" Leo asked her, obviously wanting her to answer. "One of the job requirements is to take a boy with us, and I have a feeling he is in that shack. We will go there and then back to these tunnels and explore, I just hope that boy isn't afraid of the dark" she said amused.

As they reached the shack a dim light could be seen, lurking through one of the windows. Someone is home she thought as she picked up pace, itching to know who was inside. She reached the door, unsure what to do. Knock? Knock over the door? Knock seemed the safest option. As her fist was just about to reach the door, the door slammed open, leaving Ebony smashed against the brick wall. "Owww..." she said heaving the door off her. A boy, about the age of 11 had openend door. He was quite tall, blue eyes and brown hair that stuck up everywhere. "You're not those mages to take me, for that stupid bat prank are you?" he said quite subtle. Ebony laughed, "Yes, we are. And I did not appreciate the way you flung that door against me! That hurt...". The boy frowned, ”Yea, yea, whatever”. This boy was not co=operating.

Leonard simply nodded with a slight smile as a reply to Ebony' suggestion on what must be done. Apparently they require the presence of a young lad who is most likely to be residing in the shack over yonder. "Don't worry Ebony I'm sure the lad's the kind to be rough around the edges given that he lives in a shack which is a little worse than mine." he said to her happily as he walked beside her and a little behind her. Not a moment too soon, and they arrived the shack. They saw a light by on the window, someone was home and it was the young boy no doubt. Leonard was just a few meters away from the door. He had an expressionless face as Ebony neared the door to knock. Which is kind of a good idea since they don't know what's behind the door. That face of his changed and an expression of shock was seen. The door burst open violently and Ebony got smashed to the bricks to the door's side. Unfortunately, there was nothing that Leonard could do. He was stunned at the event and at the sigh of the boy in front of him. He had met children like him, he even became a child like that when he ran away from his burning village but the lad was different. He even called the job a prank. Leonard for one knew it wasn't the billfold was clear and the paperwork on it was done, surely a guy told this kid otherwise. And the kid wouldn't cooperate and even talked rudely to Ebony. Leonard held Ebony by her shoulder calmly "Relax Eby, I'll handle the kid." he said to her softly yet seriously.

The kid turned around and Leonard kicked him in the back. The kick wasn't hard at all but it was enough to send the kick back inside the house with a thump. "He what you do that for!?" the kid shouted at Leonard while rubbing his butt. Leonard on the other hand ignored the kid and simply walked inside the shack "Well it was kind of you to let us. You know you're manners don't you?" he said rather sarcastically. As he stepped in, he grabbed the kid on his arm and made him sit on the chair while sat on the chair in front of him with his feet on the coffee table.

Ebony's eyes widened as she saw Leo kick the poor kid in the back. Ouch, that gotta hurt she thought as she followed him inside. The shack had a warm vibe to it as you entered, bright colours surrounded you and it gave you a feeling of home. Ebony couldn't help but smile. It was very small but so cosy. Ebony watched as she stared at Leo who plonked the boy down on a seat. The table was long and rectangular and needed a good clean. In fact, the whole house needed a good clean, she couldn't imagine herself living in such horrific conditions. She stared at the boy, "Hey kid, where did you lose the bat anyway?" Ebony asked sternly as the boy simply stared at the ground. "Why should I tell you anything, you're nothing special" he muttered as he folded his arms, Ebony grinned. Special? Oh, I am special. "I'm a Space Mage, I control Galaxies" she said proudly as the boy's eyes didn't move. She frowned, Does nothing interest this boy? she thought to herself as she looked at Leo. Ok, one more shot to try and be ‘friendly’ or I’ll… she didn’t want to take the Leo approach and use violence. This was her last chance to try and win over the boy’s trust, she decided to bring in the big guns. “Come on, tell me where it is and then you… she said as she rustled inside her back pack, [yellow=color]”you get cookies”

Well, Leonard still sat on the chair looking around at the cosy shack. It wasn't hot and the insides get a lot of wind from the forest breeze. But the place looked like a dump. It wasn't clean and a lot of stuff were scattered here and there. Something he’d expect if a kid with the attitude of the one in front of them right now were to live alone. He then focused his eyes on Ebony who started making her move. She tried to approach in the friendly manner. This was the best way to go. It was kind of like the good cop bad cop thing police would do when questioning the suspect. Unfortunately that didn't work. The kid really won't budge and even said something about not being special. Ebony showed the boy something special but that didn't seem to work either. After which Ebony took a moment to look at Leonard. It seems she wouldn't want to try the bad guy approach. And so she didn't, trying to get to the boy's heart will all that sweetness and even tried offering cookies. Leonard giggled in a rather scary way standing up and gave himself a private tour of the messy place. Maybe somewhere in the shack could give him the answer as to why the boy acts that way. Looking at the rooms it seemed that the shack was once a big place, enough for an extended family to live in. Some furniture was covered with white sheets and every time he walks, sounds of dried leaves cracking could be heard. On a bedroom, he saw an old picture of a family. On the picture was the kid, some siblings, his grandparents and his parents. Where could they all be? He thought it would be best to tell this to Ebony.

The boy's eyes shimmered as he saw the pile of cookies Ebony laid on the table. It looked so tasty, so tempting that even Ebony had to control herself to not eat one. She smiled as she pushed then closer towards him. The boy seemed to get agitated as Leo walked around the house so she decided to follow, leaving the boy to stare at the endless pile of delicious cookies. She stood behind Leo, a good 3 feet away, staring at the photo. They seem so happy...I wonder what happened she thought as she looked back at the kid. He seemed to be leaning closer to the cookies now. Extremely close. He was about to take one as Ebony interrupted, "Hey kid, who are these people?" I asked curiously as he dropped the cookie back on the pile. "First of, my name is Bruce, not kid. And secondly, don't ever ask me about my family again" he muttered as he grabbed a cookie and started eating it. Ebony couldn't help but laugh as she found out his name was 'Bruce'. It was an uncommon name, that was for sure. She had never heard such a thing. She grinned, "Feel free to eat as many cookies as you like, as long as you help us" she grinned as she looked at the stack. It looked so scrumptiously delicate, that giant stack of amazing things. She couldn’t help but grab one for herself as she chewed on the small round biscuit. She looked at Leo, hoping he would knock some sense in this kid, she was itching to start this find.

A he got back to the living room he was stunned at what cookie paradise he sees before him. He almost drooled but he had to keep composure, stay the bad guy in kid's eyes. Make sure he had something to get scarred and worry about. Now Ebony was looking at the happy picture and asked the kid about it. Apparently Leonard being the bad guy in the kid's eye got up since the kid didn't want him snooping around "I'm sorry, but I thought I could feel at home." he said sarcastically which kinda irritated the boy. So when Ebony went and asked about the photo that made the boy even worse. But all that pestering got a result. At least we know that the kid's name was Bruce. Rare but awesome. He knew of people from long ago named Bruce Willis and Bruce Lee. Anyway, the two looked liked he couldn't hold back from the pile. He might not be able to too. Ebony looked at him and might need him to bust another move to push the kid again. He smiled in a rather evil manner because at the back of his head, he'll use this chance to get some cookies. He hogged up the entire pile and put it next to him "Hey Bruce, better start talking or these cookies won't be going down your stomach." he said as he looked up to Ebony waiting if she could pull off a good girl move so the kid would feel much comfortable with her. Leonard even nodded a little gesturing that she could do whatever she needs to, even hit him in the head or something like that. Anyway as Leonard continued, he took a piece and ate it, slowly chewing, teasing Bruce. That gesture hit a nerve as Bruce got so frustrated but he could do nothing. Bruce had become slightly afraid of Leonard because of what he had being doing from the start.

Bruce's eyes widened as he saw Leonard toying with him. Must ... not ... give ...in ... to ... cookies ... he thought as he closed his eyes. Ebony looked at Leonard and winked. This was sure to break him. She grabbed one of the cookies and held it in front of his face. "Here you go" she said as she dropped it in his hands. He opened his eyes and smiled, obviously pleased and unafraid of Ebony. He munched on the cookie as Ebony sat on a chair, "Was actually quite funny when we let that bat lose in those tunnels near here" he grinned as he suddenly realised what he said, "I mean, no, not what I said" he lied as he covered his mouth in horror. Ebony grinned and grabbed his shirt dragging him outside. She was stronger than she looked. She looked at Leo who was still carrying her stack of cookies. He seemed to be wanting to bring them with him. Sure was fine with her, as long as he didn't take any. Of course, she knew this wasn't possible. Even cookies get the better S Rank mages. Bruce squirmed as he got to his feet, walking along side Ebony. I can't believe I told them! he muttered as the girl held onto his shirt tightly, pulling him along. Ebony looked at Bruce, her eyes cold. It wasn’t the time know to play nicely. They needed to find his bat, and fast. They still didn’t know much about where the tunnels were, but she had a sneaking suspicion that they lay where she tripped down the hole.

Now there was a slight pause with the heavenly cookies trying to work its way to each and everyone's mind. After Leonard ate a piece, he certainly wanted more. But he couldn't break or else it might cause them the job. After a few moment more, finally someone broke and to his relief it wasn't him nor Ebony. Bruce gave in with all the leaning in closer to the cookies and slightly drooling over it. Ebony decided to go in for the kill and become all sweet on Bruce and gave him a cookie. Indeed the tactic he had in mind worked, the kid got close to Ebony and spilled everything on her. Apparently the kid spilled more than he should, and said what they did to the bat. Now that they knew, the act was over and Ebony approached with hostility as she grabbed Bruce and went outside going to the tunnels. Leonard was at a shock at that moment and didn't really expect Ebony to do something like that. Well now that those two were gone, Leonard grabbed a handful of cookies and stuffed them in his pocket and ate some as he followed Bruce and Ebony. "Note to self: Never piss Ebony off." he said as he walked, following Ebony and Bruce. Although there was a problem on what tunnel Bruce let it loose. But Leonard was sure Ebony will get on with that. He thought with a slight evil grin as he thinks of what Ebony can do to Bruce.

Ebony grinned as she saw Leo eating the cookies. Her stomach growled as Bruce followed her, without a sound. They were near the entrance now, a dark hole of nothing more than three dead tunnels. It seemed that no one had been in there for a while. She opened her backpack and looked at Leo. "Any light by any chance?" she asked him as Bruce sneaked away from her, heading towards Leo and the cookies. Not that easy she grinned as she grabbed his shirt and pulled him down the hole. He screamed as she heard a thud. "Everything ok down there?" she asked as she could see a faint outline of his small build. He scratched his head and stood up, uncertain of what just happened. He was in a hole, not a big hole, just big enough for a couple of people to enter. It was quite dark and hard to see, although three tunnels about 1 meter wide could be seen through darkness. "Yea, I'm fine, what do you care anyway" he muttered as he patted his shirt, getting the dust of it. "Well, if you ever want to get out of there again, you're going to co-operate" she smiled as his mouth dropped. This time he didn't hestitate, "Ok, one condition. I get one of your cookies" he said grinning. Ebony smiled and nodded, "Well, then, where did you release that bat?" she said pointing to one of the tunnels. Bruce sighed, he couldn't believe it. This was third tunnel was where he and his friends had released the bat! There was even a rope going up the side of hole for him to get out. "The third tunnel"

As Leonard wrote the note down, he saw Ebony give her a fierce stare as he kept on biting cookies. It would seem that one thing that makes her pissed off is if someone eats her cookies. And by now Leonard wouldn't want to make her angry and pissed off, especially because of what he seen. He did see what she did to Bruce, poor kid, even if he was a jerk. Leonard put away the cookies to stop Ebony from being angry any further. At the entrance, Ebony asked him for some light. Leonard equipped the Paladenium and shed light on the cave, and it clearly showed the three paths or tunnels in the cave. Bruce crawled up to him but Ebony caught her. And pulled him away, too much. Bruce fell on a hole and huge thud was heard. Leonard hurried to the area and bring light to what happened. It would seem that Bruce fell on a hole. Ebony used this chance to get Bruce to cooperate, seeing as the kid is in trouble. They held an agreement, one Leonard was surprised to see Ebony didn't hesitate to agree to it. Bruce revealed that the bat was released in the third tunnel. He looked at it and said "I'll go in." as he dropped in to the third tunnel. There was a lot of clanking when he dropped because of the metal he was packing. He sniffed around and there was a foul smell. He was sure there were beasts down there. "Be on your guard down here Ebony, there are beasts down here. And we better be quick in finding this bat. For all we know, it's in something's stomach already.". He clutched the sword with both hands to get ready for something. And in the dark, Leonard saw two pairs of eyes.

'Monster Dice' :

Ebony looked at Leo as he went inside the third tunnel. It was so dark, so death like. Ebony shivered as he turned to the boy, who seemed to be shaking in fear. She couldn’t help but feel for the kid, after all, he was only a child. “Stay behind me kid, it could be dangerous” Ebony teased, hoping that her hypothesis was not correct. She gulped, forcing a smile as Bruce looked at her, his face expression slightly changing. She ducked her head as she followed Leonard into the tunnel. She hated confined spaces. Probably because she couldn’t use her magic underground. Two pairs of eyes peered through the blackness making Ebony twitch. [color=yellow] “Leo... I see something... Run!” she yelled as two wolves jumped towards them. Acting on instinct, Ebony pushed both Bruce and Leo behind her. Ebony grinned as she saw the two wolves. The light was dim, but clear enough to see the two figures watching her every move. There was a small grey wolf and a dark black one, both with piercing yellow eyes. As Ebony swallowed up her fear, she did the most stupid thing anyone could think of. She ran up to the black wolf, its toothy grin curled back into a snarl as she raced towards it. She threw a punch at the creature as it took a blow its face, sending the creature hurling across the tunnel and into the wall. The smaller wolf looked at Ebony, and walked backwards, slowly. I guess that hand to hand combat training with Heero paid off Ebony laughed, grinning to herself. Ebony, amazed at what she had just done raced at the other wolf, careful not to hit her head on the ceiling, she swung another punch. This time, she wasn’t as lucky, as this wolf was much more agile than the last, easily missing her attack and snarling.

Now two wolves got out from the darkness. But why did they had to be wolves? Little did most people know - because it is rare for Leonard to find any wolves, is that Leonard likes wolves. Others may prefer the cute little animals such the exceeds or normal cats. So the moment he saw the beasts he was reluctant to slice them in half. It took him some time to decide whether to keep them, or kill them. But when they lunged at him, the answer was clear. He had to kill them, well it was probably the most obvious thing to do at first sight, but hey, to each his own. Leonard was about to slice them from below with a vertical slash but the opening wasn't enough and might be damaged. But it was fortunate that Ebony took the initiative on impulse and she attacked the two wolves, pushing him and Bruce aside. It was unexpected and very brave of Ebony to do. She showed impressive melee skill because she couldn't use her magic underground. Though one may have evaded her attack, it wasn't the too much of a trouble. As soon as Leonard saw that the wolf would evade Ebony's attack, he got up and attacked it in a two slash move. The attack cut the poor beast into four chunks of meat and bone which Leonard wasn't very proud of. He held the blade up again to illuminate the area once more. He helped Bruce up with his other hand and asked him "You ok, kid?" "I'm fine I can take care of myself you know." Bruce replied with an attitude. But Leonard let it slide and didn't pay attention to it. He also asked Ebony if she was ok.

'Damage Dice' :

Ebony gulped as she saw Leonard slice the wolves into four pieces of meat. Well then... she thought as she looked at the wolves. They were dead, truly and utterly dead. She felt quite sorry for the poor creatures. She liked wolves far more than cats at any rate. As Leonard lit up the cave once more she could see the four pieces of Wolf Sashimi lying clear on the floor. She cringed her nose at the sight, hoping they wouldn't scare Bruce for life. He only shrugged, stepping over the dogs with great care. The path ahead was narrow, and quite small. Ebony could fit through it easily as she followed her Guild Master through the tunnel. Where would a bat go... she thought looking up to the ceiling which was about a meter above her head. Sure enough, thousands of Fruit bats and Black bats were above her. She gave Leo and Bruce a stern look, indicating that if they made to much noise, these bats will go into a frenzy. It would be a shame if they moved these bats, as the Albino could be with them. As she turned her head back down to face Leonard and Bruce she stepped forward, careful not to step on any unwelcome critters, she took another step towards them before she stayed stationary. She looked up again, this time examining the area. The ceiling of the cave was filled with a range of bats, most brown and black. Not one albino could be seen, making Ebon clench her fist. She hated not being able to use her magic, let alone be underground. This job sure tested your time and patience. She hope Leo would have an idea, as she had just drawn a blank.

Well Leonard made quite a mess in that last one. Leonard also saw that she did not like what he had done to the poor wolves that were surely acting on instinct. They passed through them carefully and went ahead. As they journeyed deeper into the dark cave, with only his sword people sometimes nicknamed as the "Glowstick" to, well, make it glow so they can see. On the ceiling above them were bats all hanging and sleeping. These bats could cause a ruckus when they are disturbed, thus making it harder to look for the bat. Like Ebony and Bruce did, he also watched his step as he pointed the sword at the ground so they can see where they what they're stepping on. The road was thin, making hard for him to maneuver especially with his his big, heavy footwear. Some of the areas were low making him have to duck to get through. Leonard was pretty big and had a hard time getting through. Looking at the ceiling and at the road sure was hard. But finally they got to the end of it.

They all looked at the vast ceiling filled with the winged beasts.To have to go through them one by one would take long and be boring. He took a seat on the floor as he waited for a thought to come. And it seems Ebony was waiting for it too. She was getting anxious as she couldn't really use her magic in this place. I know going through them one by one would take long and be boring. he thought as he rubbed his chin. The sentence played in his mind hoping to find the answer at the problem. Then his eyes widened with gladness as he finally saw through it. Going through them one by one would really take long, but they could make it fun. He looked at Ebony. She might be able to use her own power, but he could lend her his since it's not like other magic that exists out there, it's Requip. He stood up and stayed at the end door of the cave and equipped another sword. A fire sword that shoots fireballs and gave it to Ebony. "OK Ebony, here's what I have in mind. I'm gonna colapse the exit with us in here. That would wake the bats." he said with a very sadistic look as the light sword he was holding shined brighter and now crackling with electricity. "The fun part is we're gonna blast every non-albino bat we see!" his sentence ending with a sadistic chuckle.

As Ebony looked around at the thousands of bats, Leo handed her a sword. This was no ordinary sword, this was a Fire Requip called Blazing Inferno Blade. Apparently it shot fireballs, which made Ebony smile. Finally, she could use a form of magic. She had been quite claustrophobic since the time she stepped underground. Not showing her fear, she soldiered on, trying to act brave against Bruce and her Guild Master. Unaware of how happy she was, she gently pointed the sword towards a random mob of brown Fruit Bats. The sword shone brightly red as a red fireball appeared, and sent it shooting right at the group of bats. Half of them were now Fried Fruit while the others tried to fly away. Ebony, pleased with her newly found weapon smiled at Leo and gave him a curt nod. She was pleased to see the expression of admiration on Bruce’s face. I feel like a celebrity she joked to herself as Leo explained the plan. “OK Ebony, here's what I have in mind. I'm gonna collapse the exit with us in here. That would wake the bats”. Collapse? More like demolish Ebony thought grinning as listened to the rest of the plan. It sure seemed simple, and quite fun actually. As Leo readied himself for the explosion, Ebony made Bruce hide behind a rock, just in case something went wrong. Which, it most likely would, knowing her luck. She lifted her sword once more, readying herself for when the bats came screaming towards her.

Leonard gave Ebony the sword and she was eager to test it out. She pointed it towards a group of bats and fried them smoking crispy. Leonard was glad to see that excited and happy face of Ebony's, it really suited her. "Hey you'll startle the rest. We better close this place up before they leave." he said happily after a short laugh from Ebony's test run. "OK everybody brace yourselves. Oh and Bruce you can join in if you want." he said while he got to readied stance and pointed his sword at the ceiling at the cave's edge. "I'll pass." Bruce replied as he hid behind a rock cowering on it, shivering. "And do you even have a plan of getting out afterwards, idiot?" he added. Leonard simply smirked and replied "Simple. We blast the wall." his reply ended with a big smile showing his white teeth. Bruce who showed an expression of annoyance rolled his eyes and murmured "Figures...".

Now Leonard focused on blasting the cave entrance. With a quick flash from the sword, he shot a beam of light at the ceiling that exploded on impact. It made the entire area rumble as some pieces of debris fell. The waking bats added to the noise as they all burst out angrily. The exit is now blocked by big boulders creating a thick fog of dust. However, the raging bats blew them away and Leonard focused small bits of his power to his sword so that the beam he'll send will only take out a single target. He reminded Ebony to do the same. They really didn't want to accidentally kill the bat their looking for because of the area of effect explosion created from their weapons. "LET THE BLASTING BEGIN!" he shouted as he randomly pointed his sword in the air sending beams of light. And for beam he shot, brown or black bats would fall to the ground.

"LET THE BLASTING BEGIN!" Leonard shouted as he blasted the wall to pieces, sending chunks of debris to fall into a pile and over her head. Ducking, just in time as she looked at Bruce who was cowering behind a rock, only to peek his head out to the side occasionally before a flying rock passed above his head, making him pull back behind the rock and tremble in fear. As the wall broke down, hundreds of Black and Brown Bats swooned over Ebony's head and throughout the cave, tugging on her long brown pony tail. "OUCH, GET OF ME YOUR FREAKY BATS!" Ebony yelled as she pointed the sword to the sky. The sword turned a bright red crimson colour as five flaming fire balls were shot at the roof of the cave, sending about 20 Brown and Black Bats into flaming turkeys. It was quite the amazing sight. The streams of fire in the background looked like fireworks in the dark underground cave! Ebony pointed her sword at a group of bats once more, only to be stopped by the flutter of white wings. No way… The Albino Bat? Ebony thought, amazed at what she saw. “LEOOOOONARD! It’s the Albino Bat!” Ebony screamed as everything went quiet, deadly still, for one moment before the frenzy started again. As she swung the sword towards a group of incoming Bats, Ebony looked at Leo for support, hoping that he, being the smarter one, would think of an idea to get the bat without injuring it.
