This is, of course, a lie, and Sigurd simply doesn't enjoy fighting hand to hand, preferring to use tricks, intimidation, or magic. As a leader, Sigurd uses his intelligence to devise strategies and combination techniques which generally focus on those under his lead, while he stands back and makes sure everything is going according to plan. He tries to be just as inspiring to those who follow him as he is terrifying to those who oppose him. They taught him to recognize the privilege he was born into, and to always treat others with kindness, traits not developed by his parents or siblings. It was a young boy-servant assigned to him as a friend who introduced him to superhero comics. Though he has moved away from his past, adopting the new name "Sigurd Siegfried" of that servant who he consider his closest friend, there are many personality traits that have carried over from his history. His literacy rate is above average, and he is knowledgeable about the world and history, thanks to his wealthy background providing a sound education. He also takes cleanliness very seriously, and will clean anything he owns if it gets so much as a speck of dirt on it. Sigurd is generally very kind, having developed a maternal form of caring with his younger siblings after the death of his mother. Also, his personality as a hero is reflected in his civilian persona, as he is generally protective of people even when not in uniform. At the same time, he will stubbornly deny any accusations which may be related to his identity as "Darknight." For example, he claims that he has absolutely no ability with magic, which is a lie. Whenever a legal mage is nearby, he becomes incredibly humbled and shy, as, regardless of their rank, they represent heroism to him. Of course, the more famous mages do receive a bigger reaction from him. If he meets with someone  at his own home, he always offers to cook something for them.

In battle, Sigurd changes into his disguise and becomes the dark superhero "Darknight." As Darknight, Sigurd acts incredibly confident in a bid to intimidate his foes. He tends to strike a menacing pose in order to have a similar effect, while avoiding direct confrontation if at all possible, as he claims: "My strength is so great that if I were to actually fight you, the world would be split in two." This is, of course, a lie, and Sigurd simply doesn't enjoy fighting hand to hand, preferring to use tricks, intimidation, or magic. As a leader, Sigurd uses his intelligence to devise strategies and combination techniques which generally focus on those under his lead, while he stands back and makes sure everything is going according to plan. He tries to be just as inspiring to those who follow him as he is terrifying to those who oppose him. If he is under someone else's command, he tends to try and follow directions while maintaining his cool and powerful demeanor, and avoiding physical clashes. He does everything possible to keep his helmet on his head to protect his secret identity, as he wants to emulate the heroes in his books and keep his personal and heroic lives separate to protect his privacy and the safety of his loved ones.

Sigurd grew up reading superhero comics, which came to effect him personally, as he would come to develop a superhero persona himself. He still enjoys reading these things.

Sigurd thinks of Legal Mages as real-life heroes, and admires their selflessness and fierce pursuit of justice.

Sigurd, being the closest to the maids and butlers of his childhood, learned how to clean, sew, care for children, and of course, prepare fine cooking. Sigurd enjoys cooking for others whenever possible. However... his baking...

Just as Sigurd admires Legal Guilds, Sigurd despises Dark Guilds. To him, they represent the villains of his comic books, and as a hero he feels it's his duty to wipe them from the earth.

Growing up, Sigurd was often made fun of for his interest in superheroes. He greatly dislikes people who make fun of his super hero persona or his other interests, though this dislike is on a much lower tier than his dislike of villains.

Sigurd, being a pretty great chef, can't bear eating food that is either poorly made or just bland. He can restrain himself from saying anything, and will eat to be polite, but it drives him crazy. Though of course... in terms of other people's baking... it's not hard to top him.


Motivations:

Sigurd wants to become the kind of superhero who has so much credibility to his name that the very utterance of "Darknight" causes evil-doers to quake in their boots.

:spades: To Join A Legal Mage Organization:
Sigurd dreams of the day when he builds up enough power to feel confident in joining a Legal Mage Guild like his heroes.

:spades: To Find His Brother:
Sigurd holds a powerful grudge against his younger brother Victor due to the latter's actions causing their family to fall apart. He hopes one day to find him and learn why he did what he did.


Fears:
:clubs: His Brother:
Sigurd and Victor were incredibly close growing up, but the events which lead to the death of their sister and father tore them apart so badly that Sigurd now has nightmares about his brother. The only thing he wants from his brother now is an explanation for his actions.

:clubs: Loss in Battle:
Sigurd so desperately wants to protect the world that he fears not being able to. In his comics, the loss of a superhero always has dire consequences for all of their loved ones, and sometimes even the whole world.

Sigurd is a tall, broad-shouldered, muscular figure. As his persona "Darknight" he wears cheap,
ineffective prop armor, and a helmet stylized to look like a skull. As Sigurd, he tends to dress conservatively, in collared shirts, ties, vests, dress pants, and dress shoes. Though he has 20/20 vision, as Sigurd, he wears rectangular, black-rimmed glasses, as an extra attempt to preserve his secret identity.
