The yellow sun trekked across the heavens above to the point where it was situated in the middle of the sky and signaled the middle of the current day. Brilliant golden sunbeams danced through the dark green and verdant leaves of the tree-tops and shined down on the crystal clear spring which laid at the heart of the fey-touched wood known as The Green Grove. The untainted water of the natural fountain cascaded into the surrounding air - spinning and twirling due to the magic of the impish water fae who fluttered around the edge of the spring. The water which was moving rhythmically and haphazardly in the air had formed a brilliant rainbow from the sunbeams that had danced through the leaves of the tree-tops. It was at this small crystal clear pond Flora had found herself splashing a bit of the water into the air by kicking her feet in it as she lied against the soft earth covered in delicate green grass. On this individual mild spring day in fey-touched spinney, Flora had elected to dress in an outfit of a more natural influence. She had determined to apparel in the very clothing that she conceived into this world wearing. In other words, she had decided to go without any clothing. After all, she only elected to wear clothing of any type to make things much easier for her when dealing with the foolhardy non-native humanoids that entered The Green Grove without completely understanding and underestimating the myriad of dangers which awaited them. Flora had closed her eyes and simply listened to the sounds around her with an elated smile plastered on her face.

As she basked in the otherworldly beauty of The Green Grove, Flora felt the warm sunbeams brush against her creamy and soft pale-complexioned skin. Another sound, a different one than the laughter water fairies, reached her ears. It sounded panicked and exhausted. It took a moment before Flora was able to recognize the voice as her fairy friend, Lilly. “Flora! Flora! Wake up!” The small nature sprite exclaimed landing on the relaxing green-haired were-alraune’s face and fluttered her clear wings quickly whipping up a light breeze. Flora’s shut eyelids opened and revealed her crimson-red eyes. “Hi, Lil. It is a lovely day, isn’t it? Now, take a deep breath and relax, my friend. What has you flustered on such a nice day?” Flora replied in an almost sleepy and lost tone - not giving herself over to the panic that was filling her fae friend. The small humanoid fairy took a deep breath and tried to silence her mind and calm her nerves as her friend advised. “Deep breath in. Deep breath out.” Lilly repeated to herself a few times and finally felt her racing heart to slow down a bit. “Flora… Another human has made their way into the Green Grove.” The blonde-haired fairy finally told her friend the situation that was happening. “Another human has made their way into the Green Grove? Is he staying to the outside area of the forest, Lilly?” Flora knew the forest quite well since she had lived her entire life within it - not making contact with the outside on the few occasions when she left to deliver herbs to local villages and soothe various spirits of the earth to ensure the people had fruitful harvests. The most dangerous creatures resided outside of The Green Grove’s first ring. However, these beasts were not the ones Flora was worried about. No, she was worried about the mischievous fairies who went to the outer rings near the exit of the forests. Their mischief was quite worrying because they weren’t exactly evil creatures, but their views on morality and human life were quite skewed. Some of them did not understand humans were frail while others didn’t care as long as they had fun.

“A few of the other fairies saw him and wanted to play with him a bit, Flora. I didn’t mind them trying to play with the humans since they are so much fun to trick and mess with, but they wanted to lead him deeper into the forest near the golems.” Lilly told her friend. She was one of the few fairies who had a certain sense of morality after watching a human die by one of her pranks. She still played tricks on wayward travelers who would enter the Green Grove, but always tried to make sure they weren’t injured too severely from them. “The golems? Oh dear, this is indeed quite troublesome. Our fairy friends like to keep me busy with their playfulness.” Flora sprung up from her location on the grass. Her feet in the shallow end of the clear spring. The golems weren’t usually anything to be feared since they generally just roamed around minding their own business. However, with a few impish fairies leading a human toward them, there was no telling what type of trouble could be stirred up from this. She walked back on the grass.  Flora reached for the red plaid dress that she had brought with her in case of an unforeseen emergency similar to the one taking place at the moment. It would be more awkward to deal with a human who was panicking cause she was nude especially in this situation. With the dress now cover her, she began her trek from the center of the forest to the second ring of the Green Grove where the golems walked back and forth through the forest.

With her rose red plaid dress now covering her pale-complexioned physique, Flora had begun to run barefoot through the fey-touched verdant wood with abandon with her fairy companion, Lilly, fluttering over her right shoulder toward the specific area of the forest where the creatures made of rock and soil, the golems, resided. As the duo continued toward their destination, a man appearing to be in his mid to late twenties continued to follow the bewitching glows of the small group of fairies who continued to lead him deeper into the second ring of The Green Grove. The man was a botanist who had came to The Green Grove in search of rare plants that weren’t found in most areas of Fiore. He was completely unaware of the danger that following these enchanting lights would bring him, but he was already spell bounded to them. “Continue to follow us, dear human. We will light the way for you. We will take you to what you seek,” One of the fairies responded in an almost sultry and seductive tone which seemed to keep the human bound to them and enraptured under their spell. "Y-Yes... Show me the way," The man responded to them.

The group of impish fae escorted him through a small opening of the woodland which led into a more open space where the trees and the undergrowth were sparse in antithesis to the rest of The Green Grove. Within the confines of this section in The Green Grove, a single creature, a golem, made of stone and soil sat in the center of the area. Lengths of dark green lush ivy grew up and down its arms and legs - wrapping around them. Small snow-white flowers had blossomed forth giving off a sweet scent. On the golem's back, a single light blue bird had landed before flying off noticing the human in the fey-touched forest. As the bird flew upward toward the heavens above, the golem began to stir from its respite upon sensing the foreign entity within its domain - a presence that was not a normal one within The Green Grove. The golem stood upright. It was around 5 meters in height or 16 feet. The creature made of rock and soil observed over the individuals who had entered the clearing, specifically the human male that was with the gathering of fairies.

For a brief moment, the golem simply stared at the human male who was about 3 meters or 9 feet away from him. The human male simply stared at the lights of the fairies in front of him. One of the faes hovered over the golem and released a petite fog of enchanted powder over it. The golem commenced assaulting the entranced man. One of its large rock hands hoisted into the air before it slammed down into the unsuspecting guy and sending flying toward one of the trees which he struck against with a loud noise. The collision woke the man from his induced stupor. He bellowed and screeched in immense amounts of pain - not understanding why he was in this situation. He laid on the forest floor. "Help! Help!" He screamed out only to met with the laughter of the fairies. The faes were simply savoring the spectacle of the golem striking the human. It was a consequence of their magic meddling with its capacity to recognize threats to The Green Grove.

Once more, the golem raised its forearm and its large closed fist toward the heavens. It was completely ready to crush the man who was sobbing from the pain and lied on the forest floor. The man closed his eyes as he had sensed his time on this plane of existence had reached it ends. As the golem started to bring its closed hand down, the man felt someone or something grab him and pull him out of the way. He noticed that he wasn't crushed or dead yet. The man opened his eyes and noticed he was in the arms of a green-haired woman who had rose-red eyes. "Are you still able to speak, my dear human? It is quite dangerous for people to traverse through The Green Grove without being prepared." Flora asked the man as she looked down at him with a soft smile plastered on her face. "I can speak, Miss..." The man responded while he tried to move his body. While he was in an immense amount of pain, he could move the parts of his body which meant he wasn't paralyzed from the impact with the tree. "Good. Good. I can tell that you are in a bit of pain, but if you can lie here for a moment I will be able to deal with this shortly." Flora told him gently laying him on the forest floor.

"Flora! Flora! Do you really think that you can take the golem? Your magic isn't for combat," Lilly said fluttering around Flora. It was true that her magic was not for dealing damage, but since the fairies were involved in the matter. More than likely, they had done something to the earthen creature running amok like this. "There is no need to worry, Lilly," Flora responded as her soft smile never wavering even in perilous moments like this. The green-haired human-plant hybrid looked over at the group of fairies "Do you not think it is time that you stop with your pranks, my friends? You have scared the human quite a bit. Why not dispell the enhancement you have over the golem?" She had asked them. "Boo! Boo! Flora is no fun! We won't stop playing tricks!" The group of fairies said sticking their tongues out her. The golem looked over Flora and raised its hand into the air - preparing another crushing attacking. It brought it down over the head of the green-haired woman. Flora nimbly dodged to the side of the attack. She felt the wind generated from the attack hit her face. Again and again, the golem attack with Flora just barely being able to stay out of its attack range. While she was not the type of person to harm another, she was not going to let herself be injured as well. However, constantly dodging the barrage of attacks wasn't getting her anywhere in this situation. Plus, there was the issue of the hurt human laying on the ground. Flora had led the golem away with her antics of dodging its attacks, but still, the man needed to be treated.

The golem launched another attack toward Flora which she dodged to the right and looked for the group of fairies, who were still watching the show. Even though it didn't turn out the way they had originally expected, they were still entertained by the present events. Flora quickly gathered the required magical power and used one of the spells she knew. The spell was called Verdant Torpor. A short distance away from her, a silver variation of the valerian flower sprung up from the soil and erupted into full bloom. The flower expelled a silver-colored orb which traveled in a straight line forward. The orb hit one of the fairies and erupted into a small cloud which afflicted the others. "What was that?" They asked among themselves before they started to yawn and then fall asleep. With the fairy that had cast the enchantment now asleep, the effects of it had started to fade away. The golem stopped its assault and went back to the center of its opening and went back to its resting position.

With that bit of matter finally solved, Flora went over the human male. She knelt down near him before she looked him in the eye. "It is still dangerous for you to be this deep in the forest, but we should tend to your injuries first." She leaned in close to him as her hand went behind his head. "I am sorry..." He said apologizing for this entire situation. The green-haired were-alraune gathered a bit more magical energy and used another spell - Verdant Kiss. Her mouth had filled with sweet nectar. Flora brought her lips to his lips and interlocked hers with his. Her tongue entered his mouth and he felt something sweet enter his mouth. Dazed for a moment, the human male realized what had happened and felt his face burn up with a blush. Flora stood back and smiled. "How are you feeling?" She asked him. "Wait, why did you kiss me?!" He asked confused and flustered. He didn't dislike the random kiss but it was simply random. "Hmm? Kiss? It is just a way to ensure you could partake in the nectar." Flora said pointing to her mouth. "You were hurt and could hardly move. It is stronger if you have it enter your mouth rather than just use it on your skin." She was still a bit confused about why people acted that way. The man was a bit confused at first about all of this until he noticed that he didn't feel any more pain.  He stood up and realized that the nectar she had forced down his throat had actually healed him as she had said. "Well, I will escort you outside of The Green Grove. If you do return, please be sure to prepare yourself for any Fae enchantments. I might not be able to rescue you in time." She told him - leading him out of the clearing and such.

In time, they had made it back to the forest entrance. "I am sorry again for causing you so much trouble, Miss?" He said realizing he had not introduced himself to her. "Flora Aislinn, I live here in The Green Grove. You are?" She asked him in return. "Edward Henry. I study plants. I had come to The Green Grove to learn more about the unique plants that grow here." He responded. "Well, if you come again, make sure to stay to the outer ring of the forest, Edward. More dangerous creatures live deeper in the forest and simply making a group of fairies sleep won't be enough to stop them if they get riled up. Take care." With those words, Flora went back into the fey-touched forest to enjoy her lounging at the side of the spring.
