Re: Why am I learning to drive?
It had been a while since Demi had made her bond with Rui and now became a summon, she was there to help him when she sensed he was in danger but other than that she was free to do as she wished. Though she preferred using portals and public transportation she knew there would be times that this wouldn't be the case at times and personal transportation required. With that in mind she started looking for what she would need and where she would have to go to earn it such things. With a little help she found that she would need a driving licence and that the only place you where seemingly able to get one was Motor City. She was really glad that she didn't have to breath because of how the smog filled the air, in honesty she hoped Ruvel would never have the need to come here because this place could make him extremely sick and she would likely go on a murder spree until the air was purified. Now that she thought about it that was quite a dark thought, one that she really wish she didn't have but she was super protective over the youth and it was hard for her not to be given how he had been within the facility, taking everything so she wouldn't be harmed.
In honesty even now she found him a fool as she was stronger and had been through worse thanks to her training, still he tried to do what he believed right though it had some bad outcomes for him. All that was in the past for now at least and so she tried not to dwell on it, she just hoped he would open up to someone about the place before it was to late as she knew if he was taken there once more he wouldn't ever be the same. For now however she walked into the driving school and took an application form giving her details and had her picture taken. Seeing it she couldn't help but roll her eyes as she looked like the picture perfect doll, it was sickening to her and she only hoped her twin brother Oykai would never see it as she would never live it down. She then took a seat waiting to be called her blood ruby eyes looking around the small waiting room until she heard her name be called over the lacrima crystal and so went to the designated area and into the car that she would be tested in. She blinked seeing an elderly woman who almost seemed like she was in her mid eighties, thick lensed glasses, hair tied up in a bun wearing a bright flowery dress 'Please tell me I am not going to have to claim this woman mid way through this lesson... that be hard to explain' she thought to herself, she had no idea how this woman was still allowed in a car let alone instructing someone how to drive. "Hello there dearie, I'm Elyssa Cambrige and I'll be your instructor today." she said in a kindly grandmother like voice, Demi found herself wanting to guard her cheeks because she came across as a cheek pincher but kept her arms in front of her "A pleasure, I am sorry to rush you but can we get this moving along? I have other duties I must perform while here and I still have to get back to the docks a few towns over if I'm to get the ship back to Tolgalen on time." she said calmly.
The elder woman nodded and so the driving lesson went forward, there was a few times the woman coughed quite hard and her blood ruby eyes looked over to her instead of the road but she was concerned that her twin would end up in the car or a scroll would appear in front of her to claim the sweet old lady. Luckily nothing like that happened and the few minor mistakes she had made went unnoticed by Mrs Cambridge because she seemed to be as blind as a bat. When they got back to the driving school she parked and waited to see what the elderly woman had to say "Perfect, just perfect..." she said stamping a large red approval stamp on her paperwork a licence now turning up in the death goddesses hands "Drive responsible dearie, enjoy the rest of your day." she said leaving the car not waiting for Demi to even reply, this left her speechless for a few moments before she shrugged and left not caring she just wanted out of this city and somewhere else.
