WHEN WORDS COLLIDE
Chika perched on the edge of the Fairy Tail roof, grinning ecstatically at the feeling of wind rushing by her, the ground precariously far away. Always one who longed for the thrill of danger, such a position was exactly where she belonged. Gazing down at the ground below, the girl watched attentively as people walked by, doing whatever it was normal people did. What boring things, they did. Slowly, against the screaming instinct of her body, the girl pushed herself up to a standing position, teetering slightly on the edge of the building before becoming fully upright, stretching her arms up to the sky even as blood rushed through her ears and her heart pounded heavily. Every centimeter of her body screamed at her to get away, telling her it was too dangerous to stand here, but Chika ignored the impulse, eyes quivering with a touch of insanity as she relished the sensation.
The gust of wind ended, leaving a lull of peace and a calming of the body, ending the sensation. With a disappointed sigh, the girl stepped back onto the roof, eyeing the mannequin dummies set up for battle training. A lazy flick of her index finger brought three of them floating up into the air, the energies around them shifting in order to support the items in thin air. Thinking quickly, the girl’s eyes lit up suddenly with a spark of an idea. Of course! Jumping on top of one of them, she manipulated the dummies off the roof, diving down into the street in front of the guild with a loud laugh. People before her would scream and yell as they dove out of the way, the dummy crashing into some of the bushes that decorated the front of the guild hall.
Pulling herself from the wreckage with a skinned knee and some scratches on her face Chika raised her hands up into the air with a triumphant stretch. “Well, that was fun. What’s next?”
