    Job Title: Motor City Rush!

       Rank: D

Player Requirements: Must be at least D-Rank. The character must be over 16 years of age at least physically.

Job Requirements: 5 posts. 100 words per post. You must roll once to get your Driving Instructor/Test-giver who rides with you and can pass or fail your test.

       Job Location: Motor City

Job Description: With the popularity of vehicles of all sorts on the rise, people from all over Fiore and the surrounding kingdoms have been flocking to Motor City in hopes of getting their hands on a Driver's License and shiny new car, motorcycle, truck, or other vehicle! However, to legally drive one on any road one must have a license in their possession! Getting one is no easy task however; you must successfully prove to your Driving Instructor that your skills for navigating the high-traffic Motor City are top-notch! Fasten your seat-belts, this is gonna be a bumpy ride!

       Enemies/Dice Roll:
Weak-- Everyone's favorite Driving Instructor! She's an older lady, kind, sweet, caring, and very forgiving.... to the point where you cannot fail.

Normal-- The greatest distraction of your life! This person really is bored with their job and does not mind chatting up a storm while you drive, messing with the radio or other buttons, and pointing out different things going on outside as you cruise. Don't take your eyes off the road!

Strong-- A veteran Driving Instructor, he is in no mood for games. Strict as a line, ready to point out all your driving flaws, and happy to withhold your license if you fail... drive defensively! And don't forget to use your blinker... or else.

Reward: Driver's License if you pass the test. (Ability to Drive Vehicles in General)

Motor City was a bustling place, full of fascinating technology. Vehicles of all makes and models careened swiftly down the roads, their owners in a hurry to go about their lives. Trinity watched it all in awe, her discolored eyes taking everything in around her. In fact, she was so captivated by her surroundings that she hadn’t really been paying attention to them very well. More than once, the young woman almost got hit by one of the self same cars that she was watching go by. Despite this, a gleeful and almost childlike smile brightened her eyes. Those looked like fun!

Could she learn to drive one, she wondered? She searched around the city and it honestly wasn’t hard to find a place that was willing to teach her. There were signs posted everywhere, making it obvious that this place was known for issuing these things called “licenses” that one could carry with them and use to drive a car whenever they want, so she’d wandered into the first building she’d found that was willing, handed over the appropriate amount of jewel, and signed herself up.

Trinity was patiently waiting her turn in the lobby, watching everyone around her with interest, when a middle aged woman approached the benches with a clipboard. She had long brunette hair that hung freely over her shoulders, and nice looking clothes. Looking a little bored, the woman glanced over the paper on her board. “Trinity?” she called out.

The young woman smiled and practically bounced onto her feet, making her way over quickly. Her smile didn’t falter once, even as the instructor looked over her dual colored hair and eyes with obvious surprise and fascination. “I’m Faye,” the older woman said, extending a hand. Trinity accepted it with a small shake -- a common greeting gesture in civilized lands that she found strange, but amusing. She wasn’t used to such interactions, and they were novelties to her.

“Have you ever driven before?” Faye asked. Trinity shook her head a little, quietly. “Brand new driver! How exciting. Don’t worry, we’ll get you on the road in no time. Follow me, honey.” The two of them walked outside to a row of cars owned by the driving academy for instructive purposes. “Did you have any questions before we got started?”

Trinity opened her mouth, and then pursed it in a small mixture of frustration and humiliation. She hummed softly and shrugged, pointing at her mouth. Faye blinked at her a bit with confusion before it finally dawned on her. “Oh, goodness!” she exclaimed. “I am so sorry. Are you mute?” The younger woman nodded. “Bless me, I can be so insensitive at times. Well never you worry, we’ll just take things slow and if you have any questions… well, just apply the brakes to stop the car and I’ll let you write the questions down on my clipboard, okay?”

She probably should have declined, but Trinity couldn’t think of an effective way to communicate that she didn’t know how to write. So instead she just nodded again happily, dedicating herself to simply listening intently to the instructions so she wouldn’t have to ask any questions.

The lessons took a few hours since she was starting from the beginning, but Trinity found that she enjoyed every minute of it. Faye took the time to explain the different parts of a car required for driving, and let her practice for a while in an empty parking lot before giving her the chance to take the vehicle on the main streets. Faye was an extremely chatty woman, but Trinity did not mind that. She was friendly, often pointing out interesting things going on around them and easily striking up conversation despite the fact that the younger woman couldn’t talk. Trinity enjoyed listening to her, however.

By the time everything was said and done, with only a few minor mishaps about speed and paying attention to the road instead of her surroundings, Trinity found herself the owner of a brand new driver’s license. She smiled at it proudly, and threw her arms around Faye in an excited hug as a thank you for her time. The older woman was surprised, but laughed and returned the gesture before bidding her farewell so she could move on to her next student.

Please forgive me if I don’t talk much at times. It’s loud enough in my head.
