Rank: B
Player Requirements: At least 1 B-Ranked mage or equivalent. 9,000 Words minimum. At least 5 monster rolls. Defeat "The Goliath." All mages having completed the job "To Hunt a Vampire; I - First Things First"
Job Requirements: Survive the ritual and acquire the enchanted blades.
Job Location: Silent Cemetery
Job Description: The leader of the group is impressed with you for acquiring the book and asks that you help with a bit more for, of course, a hefty award. After reading through, she'll come across an entry for new vampire breed. In the entry lies a ritual which, when performed correctly, will enchant specially crafted silver blades to hurt the breed of vampires. This ritual is quite powerful and will likely attract monsters from the nearby woods. It is up to you to protect the leader of the sets up the intricate magical circle made of monster blood and vampire ashes and recites the incantation to bless a pile of silver swords at the center of the circle. You will have the help of the 4 hunters that make up the group of monster hunters. While they don't have magical power, they do have masterful form and formidable strength with swords, axes, bows, and guns.
Enemies:
Weak: Shadow Beast x10
These beasts typically lurk in the Spooky Forest and hunt at night, though they have been attracted to the Silent Cemetery by the ritual. These beasts look like silhouettes of regular predators and contain much greater strength than their real counterparts. No one really knows how they came about, but what is known is that they're efficient hunters. They blend into the night and deal C-Rank damage with each of their melee attacks. Each beast has 60 HP.
Normal: Lycanthrope minora x5
Their appearance is preceded by a powerful howl. These are humans which have been cursed by a Lycanthrope majora. While they aren't as powerful as their pure-blooded counterparts, they still pack a punch. They are massive and will try and pounce on their prey. Each has 150 HP and deals B-Rank damage which each of their melee attacks.
Strong: Serpentine Mammoth
This thirty meter long serpent with two large tusks and black fur typically stalks the same forest which are occupied by the Lycanthropes: The Lycan Woods, though it has since been attracted by this ritual. It has 300 HP and deals A-Rank damage with its melee attacks. Additionally, it can spit glowing red liquid that will burn for B-Rank damage and deal B-Rank damage over three posts before fading away.
Boss: The Goliath
This beast stands at a height of 10 meters and has come to stop the ritual. It it seemingly in some kind of trance as its eyes are empty and its body moves unnaturally. Every three posts it will screech out dark energy which will deal A-Rank damage and deafen its targets unless blocked. It has 500 HP and deals S-Rank damage with its melee attacks. After it dies no more enemies will spawn and the sun will begin to rise. Any dice rolls you have left are satisfied by beating The Goliath but he cannot be spawned before rolling the 5 dice.
Reward: 18,000 Jewels and a Legendary + weapon each [it must be related to one of the monsters you've killed as it is made from the parts] and access to "To Hunt A Vampire; III - Find the Nest"
Now he could relax. He let out a sigh and groan, feeling the stab wounds from the hardened blood itch and burn slightly. They had been right; this entire job had been much more than it looked on the face of things. He reached back and touched the closest hole, feeling the slippery feeling of his blood on it. Luckily they weren't deep -- they had escaped with enough time and speed to avoid any major injuries. They were just going to sting for a bit. He opened up his knapsack and put the book inside, locking the buckle in place and yanking it tight. Then his gaze lazily drifted over to Markus walking beside him.
"So..." he started, unsure of himself. He wasn't used to being the one that asked the questions -- they always seemed to be directed at him. But this other Fairy Tail wizard had magic that was almost identical to his, though it was used in an entirely different fashion. Mythal kept a cap on his magical output by rooting it through his body, making classifying it very difficult. Markus, on the other hand, seemed to steer right into the thick of it, almost glowing with dark pride over where his magic came from. He just had to know. "Fallen God Slayer," he remarked, crossing his arms over his chest as he walked along.
"Didn't know there was another one like me."
