Now that you're entering the higher ranks of shinobi- I mean wizards, you'll be sent to a worthy challenge; deep within the icy caverns of Silent Glaciers, rumors state that the spirit of an ancient god of frost and ice named Karstaag roam the areas hidden under the ice. A ferocious, giant troll-looking creature of high intelligence, wielding the skull of its ancestor as a crown and to distinguish it from its troll companions... but it is all alone now. Its cave, its glaciers are all covered in the skeletons of its forefathers that passed throughout the eras, and wandering alone as an earthbound spirit, it seeks one thing... a last challenger.

People have reported to Mura about these paranormal hearings, and after having met the ice god himself and sparred it, he deems it perfect as a challenger... just not for a shaman like him. He left it to wait for an even better challenger; you.

Go to Silent Glaciers. Mura lends you his cloak for extra warmth and to identify yourself to Karstagg. He also gives you a tome written on a piece of paper. Your task is to give Karstaag what he wants - a proper battle between two ice wizards as well as a suitable ending for his stay in this world by releasing his spirit with the paper (his spirit is solid given his magical power, so yes, you can punch Karstaag and all that). Mura chose you, because he is assured that the surroundings will enable you to enter Dragon Force - just the kind of power that Karstaag wants to witness before his departure from this world.
