When Sol addressed him on the topic of impoliteness Johann simply gave the Vice President a nod. He did not really mind nor care if there were things between the void princes and the other that would remain between them, and he wouldn't insist on knowing everything, so he would remain distanced and apathetic, listening to him explain the training he had gone through further. He could've been spared the details, in honesty. She would manage to break Sol, but if she and Johann clashed it would not be him who would draw the short straw. He would not break like Sol had. Time would tell how that continued. He went on even further though to explain that he would still have to see Demi on whatever reaper duties it was that the two would share, a circumstance that took Johann by surprise. Was Sol's loyalty to Demi greater than that for Ruvel? Did what the young summoner was suffering through not move him even a little bit? "As I said, Sol ...", he would repeat what he had said before, all the while wondering what intention the other held by reiterating his point, "... what you do with your time is your business. Just don't expect any sympathy from me. Oh, and ...", the man expanded on his point further, slightly surprised and more than a little angered Sol not only seemed to pride himself with the fact that he had taken her last name, no, he even seemed to defend her against Johann's arguably mild insult. "... I think that "Reaper Girl" is about the nicest thing I can come up with. I can think of other, less endearing words if you like? Unless you wish to provoke me, Vice President of the West Fiore Trading Company ...", his eyes once more centered on the pale Deathless, "... I consider this conversation over". Johann sincerely hoped that the other would learn to restrain his tongue when dealing with the already on edge Ambassador. He was close to the Berserkergang as it stood, what happened to Ruvel not exactly serving to soothe his state as the lacrima in his chest pumped a magical heartbeat after heartbeat.
It was then that Johann heard a familiar voice from the other end of the Mess Hall, looking up to spot Oykai there, seemingly appearing out of nowhere before addressing his cousins and Sol. Johann only half-listened to the back and forth, his mind concerned with other things. Sol seemed to respect the summon, a position Johann could not share. While he did not hate Oykai, he disliked the other for his bratish attitude and his rather crude ways, at least as he had witnessed it in the past. It was then that the man' voice rang out inside the head of this vessel, bringing forth a direct request not only to himself but also the Seal, Mars, the Lord of War, dwelling within the depths of his mind. Oykai practically asked for them to, should he succumb to the same madness as Cirven and, eventually, Demi, put him out of his misery, so to speak, should it come to that, stressing that it would be better to start a new cycle than live this one out in madness. Johann understood, giving him a nod. "I see ...", he would send back the same way the other had spoken to him, "... I will do my best to find an adequate solution when the time comes". Mars, now directly addressed, similarly had his own comment to share. "I do not care for your conflicts, but I will not shy away from a good fight, and if you ask me to end it when I finally get my hands on her ...", he would grin broadly, "... well, who am I do deny such a charming request, tssehehe ...".
It was then that Oykai's attention seemed to return to Sol, Johann once again paying little mind to the talk that was none of his concern. Still, it was a circumstance the silver-haired male still had a hard time believing. Ruvel had always been close to Demiari, as far as Johann could remember and ever since he joined the West Fiore Trading Company. It was a situation that was as intriguing as it was sad and confusing. Further, Oykai explained the dynamic between himself and the other reaper as twins, and then even went on to share a detail that could be crucial, sharing the location of his own and Demi's life force, saying that he would be prepared for anything that may come. Johann shook his head. "You bear no fault in this, Reaper, and as such, I do not wish to harm you or even end your existence permanently. You are not to blame, and I have made it my mission to preserve those that are innocent. I acknowledge that the need might have to arise, but it is a possibility I will reserve for only the harshest of situations, should it come to it."
It was then that the void beings answered his question whether his own and the young summoner's mind could be connected after debating the subject among themselves, following up with the prospect that it was indeed possible, though warning him to take great care. Johann simply gave a nod. He would understand and heed Oykai's words of warning, closing his eyes as the world around him went black. He opened them again to see a space filled with nothing, only crumbling and cracking darkness all around him, staying unmoving as he simply looked for a few seconds. That was when he spotted the glimpse of light in the distance, coming from a seemingly heavily fortified door. At first, it appeared strange, but the man knew that for Ruvel's sake, he had to keep himself together, staying composed. With determined gaze, he took a step forward towards this door, seeing how it would affect the unstable space around him before pushing on, his want, his need to save Ruvel overshadowing anything else. With few determined steps, he would reach the shielded portal, standing before it and looking up. The runes, chains, and glyphs that bound it in place seemed like a heavy hurdle to push past, but he had to try. For the boy's sake. Gently, he would raise up his left hand and place it on the defense placed on the door, careful as to not upset the natural balance this place seemed to follow, convinced any sort of overaggressive action would not be a good call, not for this fragile space. He hoped Ruvel could sense he was close, sense that the silver-haired man was trying to help, but that was the only thing he could do. Hope. The man opened his mouth, an almost saddened voice ringing out. "Ruvel? If you can hear me ...", his eyes began to tear up a little, "... it's me, Johann. Your brother is here to save you".
