Kyll had gone ahead of the group to go scout things out on the island. Mainly because she needed to go first to probably set up camp and make sure that food and water supplies are taken care of. Which they were in her super large bag. This bag was so huge that only the ferryman and her could fit on the boat because her bag was so large. Kyll jumped off the boat and thanked the ferryman for taking her. The animals around could hear her feet hit the snow with the large amount of weight on her. She looked around for a good camp site. The cold wind blew straight through her. Kyll could feel the cold in the wind straight down to her bones. Kyll had traveled as far as she could onto the island and into some woods. She turned her head left and right and nodded. This was the campsite. This was where she was going to set up her tent. Kyll put the bag down with a large clang and untied the knot.

The bag unfurled revealing camping supplies, pots, pans, a couple warm coats, and separate boxes. Kyll took out a random box and tapped on it. The box immediately opened up and a large tent was formed. The tent was blue and white with stars and moons all over it. If you walked inside, you could see that it was perfect for five full grown bodies so there was more than enough room for the three of them. She then went to the pile of camping supplies and took out the cold weather cover and spread it over the tent. She then grabbed some rope from the pile and tied it down onto the tent. Kyll moved all of the other supplies inside. She took her sleeping bag and rolled it out on the ground. "I told them to bring their own bags, it's going to be a long job, but I know they will enjoy the adventure," Kyll told herself happily. She then walked over to the entrance and looked outside. "It's very cold, but I feel fine now after setting up camp." She walked outside and took a deep breath. She reached into her obi and grabbed a pack of cigarettes and a lighter. This was going to be a good time to smoke and think about how this mission was going to go. She light her cigarette and took a drag as she paced around outside.

Iana was sitting with nerf head in a boat now. She was annoyed as hell as the mission would probably be just beating up a bunch of whatevers while they do their thing and attack them. She had no understanding of why or how the two of them could be so siked for a simple killing mission. All they had to do was... go to that stupid snow covered island and fight a bunch of creeps that would most likely even be strong. The boat ride to the damn island didn't help either as it was getting cold as shit on their way. The sea current wasn't helping and even though the island wasn't far from land, it still got pretty windy out in the open. Iana could already see the docks and she looked at nerf head.

They were sitting in a boat for about 4 men and because the Kyllster packed too much stuff in her big ass bag they weren't able to go over to the island in a go. Now she was stuck with broccoli in a boat while they were swaying on the ocean. It wasn't the fact that Iana didn't like transportation, no, train rides were even welcomed by her as long as they wouldn't get interuppted by some nincompoops trying to highjack public transport. However, Iana wasn't too fond of the sea. In fact, she hated being out on the open, and being stuck with broccoli nerf head wasn't helping either. She didn't like him. The only reason she wasn't currently insulting him was because of the Overkyll.

Iana had her elbow on the side of the boat and was resting her head on her hand. The free hand was just dangling or doing whatever. Her glance wandered over to broccoli and her mouth got covered by her resting hand. She gave him the we-will-never-get-a-mutual-understanding look. Yes, she was prepared to never actually get friends with broccoli nerf head. Not that she had planned to get friends with him, she just disliked him. With Overkyll it was fine since she..... because she was..... Iana didn't really have a reason but she was searching for a reason to differ broccoli's happiness from Overkyll's. Why she was angry now was because there was none. She simply hated nerf head for the sake of putting her anger in some position.

By now the dock was only about 5 minutes away. The cool air started to blow around Iana. She grabbed under her legs and pulled out a gigantic red winter jacket. Slowly sliding it on, the furry collar reached up to her cheek. Her kimono was definetly not enough for this weather. The white functional winter jacket colored in a bright red went down to her knees. She wore it open as she knew that she would look like a redneck penguin if she would close the zipper of her winter jacket. Then again, she glanced over to Mishi to see what he was doing to prepare.

Mishi sat quietly in the boat as he and his new teammate headed for Snowfall island. Typically he would be taking this opportunity to talk with Iana get to know her a bit and maybe formulate some basic type of strategy base on what they had been told ahead of time about the island not that making a strategy on how to fight ice...somethings was easy. However even if they knew what they were up against it was clear that Iana did not like Mishi, why was anyone's guess, maybe he would have ask Kyll later, but for now he didn't want to make things worse. He had nothing against Iana and wanted to get along with her especially now that they were on the same team but unless Kyll was present Mishi figured most interactions between the two of them would be sour and even then chances probably weren't that good.
Still Mishi somewhat understood Iana's hatred of the world as it was similar to the hate that he once felt towards everything before his master had taken him in and changed that, and it was because of that understanding that he knew that for now leaving Iana be was for the best. As they drew closer to the island Mishi felt the sudden drop in temperature whatever spell was used on this island it was certainly a powerful one. Luckily he was prepared for this and made sure to wear a pair of thermal pants and 2 thermal shirts underneath his usual suit as to prevent the cod from getting to him.
This still didn't help his exposed parts of course but a gentleman always comes prepared so opening his canvas bag Mishi quickly removed a black winter scarf with the outline of red sparrow on it as well as a matching pair of earmuffs and a pair of plain black gloves. He began to put them on one after another soon noticing that Iana was looking at him, he just smiled while putting on his gloves "you may wanna zip up, wouldn't want to catch a cold now of all time would ya?" he added as he noticed that Iana had put on a puffy red coat but had for some reason left it open. But before Mishi could recieve a response he felt the boat stop "oh? I guess we're here".

Kyll took another drag of her cigarette and thought, Looks like they're almost here. Kyll looked at her outfit and flicked the cigarette in the air away from the camp site. She walked into the tent and got a coat from the pile of supplies. She didn't know which coat she had grabbed. Then it hit her. It was a white jacket. White was something she wasn't going to be happy it. Mainly because of her nosebleeds. She sighed and put it on anyway. When she walked out of the tent, only her legs were cold. Which she didn't mind of course. Kyll tied the jacket and looked closer. This was her favorite fur coat she treated herself to on her birthday. Kyll sighed. Great, I unknowingly brought my favorite dress jacket, and now it's going to be completely destroyed, Kyll thought. The jacket was super fluffy. It seemed like it would get in the way during the mission. Kyll knew that once she got into fighting she would have to take it off though. Coats and jackets won't be able to withstand the immense amounts of cosmic energy.

Finally she looked out to see the boat coming in. Kyll smiled and walked out to the shore to wave down her team mates. "Over here!"

"I wondered who would make it out here..."

Kyll turned around to see a transparent human being in her sights. Kyll fell over and flew past the boat landing on the short. "GH-GH-GH-GHOOOOOST!!" Kyll shouted.

The gentle looking woman floated to the Heavenly Body Mage. "It seems that a mage who's body is supposed to be in-tune with the Cosmos and other worlds has an inconvenient fear." The ghost was a beautiful woman with long brown hair clad in a white dress. The ghost was barefoot and still floating. "What you seek is in seasons, seconds, and minutes, but not in days, years, or decades." The ghost disappeared leaving the riddle and Kyll sighed in relief.

Iana looked at the nerf head somewhat questioning. She disliked that he was talking to her. That was not only because she wasn't really up for socializing with him, but also because her belly had just decided to wallop and make her seasick. Her face got somewhat pale and she suddenly felt the urge to puke rise in her. Luckily, land wasn't far away and she would make it before some of this morning's breakfeast would feed the cold-blooded fish swimming around here. "I'm...... fine..... She said with a stammering voice as the boat hit the dock and swept around a bit. Iana's stomach still rumaged. Slowly and stammering she got to land. As both feet suddenly stood on the dock, she let out a relieved sigh and calmed her demeanour. "Gaaaah, finally. She called out as she started to bend around and stretched her limbs, looking around.

The island was a beautiful site indeed. Completely white and untouched by the hands of man. Iana imagined that this was how nature protected itself. By making the land so unable to live on, it can stay how it is. That would mean that the nature would have a consciousness. Iana snickered at her own thoughts. Her eyes still traced that white land where structures were barely even recognizable. While there mission was to fight, Iana didn't mind taking a moment for appreciation of the land. It was a landscape worthy of heaven. If it just wouldn't be some damned cold. A slight wind breeze upheaved and pulled through her jacket. She wasn't a person that would get sick easily, but she was sensitive for the cold. This definetly wouldn't make her catch a cold but it was annoying as hell.

Then her eyes caught Kyll. She was eyeing their arrival and waved. It seemed that she was up to meet them at the docks. In that moment she suddenly turned around and shouted something. Her face froze in fear and Iana couldn't help but let out a suppressed laugh. It sounded like a flat tire but she wasn't able to help it. Iana calmed down and started walking towards Kyll's direction. While doing so, she grabbed in her jacket's pocket and got out a long, black, silk scarf she wrapped around her neck. The only thing still cold were her legs, only protected by her bandages. She had put on more than usual, and even used her thermo bandages but it was still quite cold. Her feet were fine for now, somehow she had grown enough corneal in her younger years that she barely felt anything in them anymore. Her bones had hardened. This had helped her through time. Her kicks were deadly and had gotten her out of dangerous situations.

Now she was walking towards Kyll alongside the broccoli, who seemed busy with something, some kind of floating ghost or so. She saw that the camp seemed all set up already. At least this was better than nothing.

Post by Mishi Gonyma 10th April 2013, 5:11 pm

Mishi began to stand up as the boat arrived at the dock as Iana began to talk "I'm...fine..." she said to him, an answer he was actually happy to hear. As while it was obvious from how she was acting that she was lying her response was still much less aggressive then what he had been expecting to hear. Mishi waited for the boat to come to a stop before stepping onto the dock, he looked back and a wobbly looking Iana staggered onto land. Mishi laughed to himself making a mental note about Iana's unexpected weakness before looking around. The island was beautiful, a frozen wasteland yes but a beautiful wasteland, ice had covered everything, every mountain, structure hell even the plants were encased in ice a lovely yet strong warning to the power of what they could be dealing with.
Mishi's attention quickly shifted forward towards Kyll who was walking towards the two of them waving well isn't this a nice welcome especially in this unwelcoming frozen wasteland he thought walking towards Kyll waving in return. However their pleasant greeting was soon interrupted as Kyll suddenly turned around and screamed Mishi could feel himself jump to attention and without a second thought darted forward as he got closer he could barely make out what appeared to be a person a transparent on at that. Thoughts quickly sprung up in Mishi’s mind What the hell is that thing…a ghost?...maybe an illusion? No time to ask really, doubt it would respond anyway “LIVING ART: GENTLEMAN’S BLADE”. Mishi quickly left his thoughts and continued to run forward now holding out his right arm as his blade sprung forward, no longer just a tattoo it had become a real rapier.
This proved to be pretty pointless in the end however as by the time he reached Kyll the ghost had already begun to fade. Mishi didn’t care even if the ghost was leaving he still ran forward in order to make sure his teammate was safe, running past Kyll and taking a defensive stance between her and the spot the ghost had been floating until a second before. “Kyll, are you ok? What the hell was that thing?” Mishi asked continuing to look forward in case whatever that thing was came back with more hostile intentions

Post by Aria Beleren 11th April 2013, 1:18 pm

Kyll shook her head and looked at the two. This was going to be a bit difficult. Kyll jumped up still a little shaken from the ghost. She sighed as she thought back to her mentor. He talked about how ghosts approach mages all the time or about how ghosts always have something to say to help with a confusing moment, but when ever a ghost speaks to a mage, it's always in riddles or some sort of question. She looked a the snow capped island they stood on and turned back to everyone. "Thanks Mishi, I'm quite alright, it was just a ghost approaching us. People have seen me freak out around a ghostly presence before. There's just something about them that isn't normal.. They just freak me out." She thought about what the ghost had told her. "So we need to go in a certain direction to get to the bottom of this mysterious island. The spirit told me a riddle while you guys were unloading from the ferry. What is in easons, seconds, and minutes, but not in days, years, or decades?" Kyll thought about it and looked at the three. She figured the answer had to be a simple answer, but she still couldn't figure it out. Maybe she was over thinking the riddle. Either way this mission had to keep going. "So which way do we go? East, West, or North?" The group was on the south side of the island.

The cold nipped at Kyll as if it was biting her legs like a lap dog. This cold was chilling to the bone. She felt as if there were cats clawing at her face. Kyll put her gloved hands over her nose. She sneezed and her cheeks went from pale to pink from the burning of the frosty winds. This was going to be an interesting mission. As soon as they get into the forests, she knew there were going to be some major encounters in the woods. So she started to bend at the hips to help stretch her ham strings. The last C rank mission she did, she wound up pulling a muscle.

Post by Mishi Gonyma 25th April 2013, 10:00 am

Mishi stood there for what felt to him like an hour, in actuality it was only a few minutes of course he wasn’t really aware of that fact and would feel pretty stupid when he finally left his thoughts . He was rubbing his chin contemplating the riddle trying to figure out what this apparent "ghost" was trying to tell them maybe it has something to do with where the mystery of this island lies. What is in seasons, seconds, and minutes, but not in days, years, or decades?...what could this mean I'm no philosopher and then they are all forms of time except seasons... his thoughts went on like this for a short while until he realized that the answer was right in front of him. Wait this isn’t a philosophical question at all its just a simple riddle like the ones in kid’s books, I bet the answer is in the words themselves.
Snapping his finger Mishi's and exclaimed "Duh! The answers so obvious now I don't know how I couldn't have seen it and why it took me almost an hour, the answer is the letter 'N'". His face growing a huge grin Mishi quickly turned to Kyll to let her know what he thought "Sorry about that don’t know how that took me so long or why you waited this whole time but why don’t we set up camp for the night here to make a game plan and in the morning we head North, I’m positive that’s where we will need to go to get to the bottom of this, though I don’t know what we will find there". He began to walk with Kyll off of the dock and towards a nearby campsite, well it was more like a tent next to an empty fire pit but stil on this island it was better than nothing.

Kyll turned toward the north and saw a blue light appear. She was very curious about this job. "Okay," she smiled. "It seems like the stage is being set for us, so let's just go ahead and rest up. I'm worried about the night. I'm a light sleeper so the need for shift work as far as guarding goes is going to be rather easy." She put her hands on the collar of her jacket. Then a cold wind burst by the two as they were standing there. Her knuckles changed to a white color as the wind blew right through her. "It seems I attract a lot of supernatural beings." She said more to herself than to Mishi. Kyll walked into the tent and grabbed a slab of steak and a couple of pans. She looked at the fire pit. "You wanna go get some fire wood? If you see anything just call out, I'll be right there if you need me." Kyll smiled and nodded as she began to put the steak in the pan and walk back into the tent. She had forgotten the salt and pepper. She walked back out and shook each shaker over the top of the steak. Then she looked out towards the wooded area. For a second she opened her closed eyes. "Better yet... We both should get the fire wood. It's up to you really, but I think I see something out there." As soon as she finished her sentence she started to make preparations to go out to the woods with Mishi.

Kyll stretched some more to perpare for a battle. Kyll thought about this mission. It seemed like this mission was going to be rather long. Something just didn't seem right for this mission to be a C rank mission. She wanted to investigate further as to why this was placed at such a low rank. Also, something about this island made no since. When she had sailed out on the ferry, it was only 30 minutes away from the mainland, but it was still below freezing. Below... Freezing.
