Ancient Magic
Description:
When magic first arose there was a such thing as Black Arts Magic, though there are various different types of magic beneath this overall category. One of the magics under the Black Arts category is Black Magic, an Ancient magic that has found its way to survive the various years of its existence. It is said that the magic is only obtainable when one spends their life trying to unravel the importance and value of light and dark magics along with the measure of others lives. Which in the case of Zeref is how he was able to obtain the Black Magic, due to his split personality caused by his inner darkness. The split allows Zeref to see both sides of light and dark in people and various magics, with this knowledge he was able to release the Black Magic from with in his very being.

Ability:
Black Magic - Controlled Death Predation
This is an ability obtained by Zeref after training to understand and control the impulse of magic that desires to engulf the world around it. Originally the Death Predation was a curse to those who studied black magic, however with great willpower Zeref was able to gain control of the destructive wave and make a personal ability of it. Allowing for one in battle use where he releases the massive burst of black magic to wipe out the wildlife in the vicinity, of course causing damage to nearby opponents and equipment that comes into contact with the effective wave. This ability is capable of reaching a maximum ranking of S, capping it's power permanently. This ability once activated has a duration equal to the Zeref's rank (I.e. D-Rank = 3 posts). When a enemy comes into contact it creates a debuffing effect of 25% decrease to enemy speed and 25% decrease to enemy attack prowess (aka Melee Damage), this ability moves at a speed of 10 meters per second. The final effect of the Death Predation is the slight damage it causes to those who allow it to come into contact with them, the damage being a measly 10 damage to the effected. Death Predation has an effect area equal to Zeref's rank (I.e. D-Rank = 15 Meters) making it a rather effective ability for taking a field advantage.

Description: This spell allows Zeref to create a basketball sized orb (29 Inches in Diameter) in his determined hand. Then with magic or just by throwing alone, it will be hurled at the target of Zeref’s choice causing the eradication of whatever it comes in contact with in an area the exact dimensions of the orb. This spell doubles as a good form of a throwable counter to spells of an equal capability.

Description: Black Magic Gauntlets, one of Zeref’s most common spells that allows him to imbue his hands with black magic and increase his damage output in a physical confrontation by increasing his melee damage. When the spell activates his hands become black giving almost what appears to be a non transparent black smoke resonating from his blackened hands, this of course is due to the presence of the previously mentioned black mage with in the hands. This spell can also be used to deflect spells of equal rank and strength, however if Zeref uses it for this method it costs double mana, deactivates the spell, and is only manageable once per post.

Description: By drawing with his hand, Zeref creates 3 magic circles which work almost like a scope that locks on to the designated target selected by Zeref. Once the circles appear and Zeref decides to fire the blast it uses the target as a focal point causing and small explosion from their location created out of black magic from Zeref.

Description: Breath of Black Magic, After studying various different spells in tomes left behind by Slayers of the past., Zeref created a similar spell to what the call a roar. However, Zeref’s rendition leads to him instead spewing a black mist from his mouth and lungs that covers a larger area as it was designed to assault multiple targets versus a single target. With that he named it a breath instead of a roar, mostly to distinguish it from the slayers art and make it seem more original.

Description: This is perhaps one of the strongest spells in Zeref’s knowledge arsenal. Of course at his current state the spell remains out of his reach, this is due to the magical prowess it requires to perform this technique. Using this spell requires a small amount of hand movement in which the user swipes both of their arms in a circular motion until the bottom of their hands meet. The hand on top has the index and middle fingers pointing upwards, while the other hand has the little (pinky) and index fingers pointing downwards. While doing this, the user is surrounded by a dark aura. The spell singles out a target and uses them as a focal point for a massive pillar-like explosion of dark magic that cause great damage if not eradicating the target all together.

Description: An advanced version of the "Black Magic Circle" where Zeref draws a single circle with his hand in the air then swings his arm across it to the left, this causes the circle to multiply and surround the target. Once the circles are in place, Zeref can activate them causing a directed blast to come from all 4 circles (one on each side of the target and two other Magic seals, one over the target and one under them.) which makes the technique hard to dodge or guard in a pinch.
