- Job Title: Missing stolen Jewelry
Rank: C
Player Requirements: N/A
Job Requirements: 2000 word minimum per character through entire thread.
Job Location: Hargeon Town
Job Description: My beloved wifes jewelry was misplaced during a vacation to Hargeon town. Please find it for me.
After searching the town for a few posts it is possible to meet a street Urchin who will give you Intel on the whereabouts of said jewelry(Dice roll optional). The street urchin will need a post or two of convincing to give you the information depending on how you go about getting the info.
Follow the advice to meet the boss, a pawnshop owner who is selling stolen goods. You, however, need to prove he’s selling stolen goods Continue arguing with the boss until you roll a boss in which you can find proof he’s selling stolen goods(dice rolls optional, max 4 per person). Keep track of how many other dice results you get.
Afterwards, a fight ensues and multiple punks and armed punks and even his street urchins will swarm the place in an all out brawl. Defeat the Pawnshop dealer and the low lives will scatter and you complete the mission. How many of each enemy appear are determined by the rolls you made during the argument and what appeared. So if after 3 posts total you rolled 3 weak, 2 strong, and 1 boss dice you will fight 3 punks, two street urchins, and the boss.
Enemies:
Weak:
Punk(D): nobodies not worth mentioning who are slow and uncoordinated. These low lifes have no skill in what they’re doing typically flail their fists around and are pretty easy to deal with. Can’t appear until the boss appears.
Medium:
Armed Punk (D+): Punks with two by fours and metal pipes. Just as uncoordinated but pack a heavier punch then the punks. Can not appear until the boss appears.
Strong:
Street Urchin (C): Low-lives who wander the streets of all cities and are particularly small, these guys are a great source of information if you can get your hands on one and convince them to give you information. Their honestly non-violent and aren’t stupid enough to take on mages but you’ll need to convince one to give you real information if you want to find the jewelry, which, in a city as big as Hargeon, would be a needle in a haystack. Aggravate one though and they may put a knife in your chest.
Boss:
Pawnshop owner (C+): A shop owner who has been knowingly selling stolen goods. He carries a one handed mace as his weapon and is pretty good at using it although not as good as many would believe.
Reward: 15,000 jewels

Missing Jewelry? This seemed more like a prank than an actual job.
Mythal brought the job flyer back up to read it again, scoffing and groaning gently as his crimson gaze focused on the writing. A man and his wife had taken a holiday to Hargeon Town – why Hargeon, he’d never know – and upon return, realized they had lost all her jewelry. It wasn’t just a single necklace or ring either; it was every glittering thing she had worn during her trip. This was going to be like finding a needle in a haystack. In fact, it was going to be worse than that. He assumed that the couple had taken an opportunity to swim in the port, possibly in the safe sanctioned areas or perhaps somewhere a bit bolder. And before the wife had jumped in, she had removed her jewelry so it didn’t sink down into the sea. There was no telling if she simply forgot it there and was picked up later or if someone had come by and grabbed it. Either way, Mythal was one hundred percent sure that he wasn’t going to find it just lying around. Hargeon may be nicer than some other towns but there were still criminals about.
It was just about finding those criminals. The God Slayer wasn’t much for asking for directions or advice from people – or talking to people at all. So instead he had found himself a nice, cozy hole in the wall bar to set himself up at. Once there, he just waited and listened to the conversations going on around him. It took some time and plenty of downed drinks before he heard a group of friends talking about returning home. They mentioned going the long way, as the only shortcut they knew took them through the bad section of town. They were even kind enough to provide street names. He downed his drink and tore off.
And now he was standing in the center of one of the alleyway paths, lazily looking around at each different route. He could see people leaning out windows and staring at him and others posted up against doors, also staring at him. He looked out of sorts in a way but he also seemed to blend right in. His dismal look always seemed to give him the advantage when he moved about the dark and filthy paths of the world. He wasn’t going to get lucky here by just listening into conversations – the whispers among the people would be as silent as mice moving through the walls. He’d need to actually talk to someone to get what he wanted. He scowled slightly and then set his gaze on a comely looking fellow to his right.
He was wrapped in a thick, woolen blanket that had several holes in it. His clothes were tattered rags at best, clinging by strings to stay upon him. He was sitting in a small divot on the side path, curled up in a ball. He seemed to be asleep but frankly, that didn’t bother Mythal. The people shaken awake were the ones that usually spilled more than they meant to, if only to get back to rest. "Hey,” Mythal said, kicking the man gently to rouse him.
“Screw off, man,” came the beleaguered man’s voice from under the blanket.
"No can do, pal. I need some info,” the God Slayer continued, glancing around cautiously.
“Do I look like some’un that got info?” The man asked, lifting his head. He was a pitiful looking sort but frankly… not much more than Mythal looked on the outside.
"Yer pro’lly the only one that does. I’m lookin’ to fence some… let’s say, family heirlooms that I ain’t got much use for,” Mythal explained, crossing his arms over his chest as he looked down at the man.
The urchin pulled back the blanket from his head, actually taking a moment to take Mythal in. He looked haggard – like he had just woken up in an alleyway and started his day. There was a faint odor of booze that clung to the air around him, hinting that he was either drunk or had been recently. The exhausted and worn lines on his face also seemed to tell of his lack of comfortable living. There were a lot of traits and aspects that could be faked but that look of being down on one’s luck was nearly impossible. This man couldn’t be a Rune Knight.
“Fencin’ some shinies, eh? I may know a place… fer the right price,” the urchin said, finally flashing a grin.
Mythal scoffed and shook his head. "You think I got jewel to just hand out, kid?”
“I think you does if you want them digits,” the man replied back, holding up his hand and rubbing his fingers together.
Mythal sighed and rolled his eyes, playing the part rather easily. How many times had he actually done this after all? He crouched down and reached into his jacket pocket, looking over his shoulder to make sure no one could see what he was doing fully. He retrieved a wadded up bundle of jewel and placed it in the man’s hand carefully, the urchin closing his fist around it just as swiftly. The hand darted back under the blanket to hide his payment and then it was his turn to look around, ensuring the deal was done without prying eyes. “A’ight, old man. Yer gonna’ wanna’ head over to ol’ Sanctum Supplies two blocks down. The owner there takes… ‘acquired’ goods. Make sure you say exactly that: acquired goods. Ya got it?”
"Good enough for me,” Mythal responded, standing back up. With his business done, he headed down the alleyway to find the street again, now with a destination in mind.
