Mythica stared blankly at the screen. Her eyes trained to a specific spot as the many beeps and sounds of the computer echoed throughout the rather large room. Despite the massive amount of activity around her, Mythica remained unaffected by it. The room she was in seemed to be rather large. Its roof stretched high above her, arching in an ominous looking way near its end. All around her there was nothing but terminals and computers. Each of which had many people or robotic figures hovering over, all performing various and different jobs. In the midst of this chaos, Mythica stood completely ignored. Not a soul acknowledged her presence. They all just kept to themselves and went about their business even as she stood there watching the main screen on the wall of the room. This was exactly how she would've liked it, and they all knew that. Mythica preferred not to be spoken too when she was down here. All she wanted to do was observe... And wait. They all knew this and respected the presence of their guild master. Or as many of them called her, the "Imperator". And they all knew exactly what would happen if they chose to disturb her in any way. Especially when her focus was taken by something else entirely. They all knew why she was down here, so they made sure not to get in her way, lest they suffer the consequences of their imputance.
In all honesty, though, Mythica cared little about that right now. Her attention was much more focused on the screen in front of her. The massive window into the world beyond constantly feeding her information. Right now it showed a picture of an old map. One that detailed the region known as Bosco. However, it was clear just by its looks that it had suffered many years of age. This map was not by any means modern. If it were, it would detail the various mega cities and well-known towns that scattered the country. Instead, the map only had one notable location on it. And that was the capital city of the country. Mythica was staring directly at it without any expression at all. The only motion on her face was the silent ticking of the golden clock eye that took up the left side of her head. However, this did not last forever. Finally, a figure appeared from the doorway of the room. Cloaked in head to two with a long black robe, the strode across the floor. As they did, the room began to feel colder slightly. Mythica did not seem to take notice, but the others did. Those that weren't robots began to shake slightly as the fog of their own breaths could be seen when they chattered their teeth. Soon the entire room fell silent and a few glances looked up to the mysterious figure walking towards their guild master. They did not slow or even acknowledge the reactions they had caused by those within the room.
Finally stopping within a few feet of Mythica's body, they kept completely silent as Mythica continued to stare at the screen above. "So then... Were we successful?" Mythica asked, finally breaking the silence. A few moments passed before the figure spoke. His voice sounded deep and almost mechanical. "Our sources were well placed, Imperator. The Death Rite has been found." Mythica didn't respond, she just continued to stare at the screen. Suspecting she was waiting for more information, the cloaked figure spoke up again. "But there has been a slight... Complication." He said. "It seems as though our friends in Bosco were the ones to have found it. They keep it as a well-protected secret, deep within their most heavily guarded vaults. I'm afraid there is little we can do to obtain it now." The air got almost physically tense with that sentence. The entire room was now silent, all eyes on the two people speaking. Mythica finally moved her body. Bowing her head down towards her feet, she chuckled slightly. This put everyone else on edge, as her feelings were always unpredictable. Finally, she turned to stare the hooded man in the face. A maniacal grin on her expression. "I wouldn't have it any other way..."
Sometime later, in a location far away, Mythica found herself patiently sitting at a small table within a nice little cafe. Outside the streets were buzzing with activity, and the cafe seemed to be pretty busy as well. Waiters and waitresses scurried about, delivering their orders to and fro while Mythica sat at her little two-seat table along the window, a small cup of tea in front of her. Now, the girl seemed to be just as normal as anyone else. She wore nothing unusual, and her hair easily concealed the golden eye. All she had was a white buttoned up shirt and black skirt, tights, and shoes. To any onlooker, she was simply a young woman waiting for someone. And technically speaking, that's exactly what she was. Disguise or not.
"Alrighty miss uhh.. Cyn Veros. The details of your contract seem to be in order. We can have somebody from the guild assist you in this matter." A young man said, quickly rushing back to Mythica's table and taking a seat across from her as he shuffled through a small stack of papers. "I just need to go over a few more details. You said this corporation illegally seized the artifact your father was studying? The artifact that supplies... Uh... limitless Magical energy to anything it connects too? I see why you'd want that back. Something with that kind of power could provide half the world with endless magical energy." "Yes.. But Nova Corp seeks only to use it for themselves and their dangerous projects. Keeping a secret from the rest of the world. If I could get my father's research back, I would be more than willing to use its power to help out the company." She said through an innocent smile. The man nodded while still looking at his notes. "Right.. Well, everything seems to be in order then. Just sign here miss Veros, and someone from the guild will be dispatched to help assist you in this matter." Mythica nodded and did as instructed. The man then bid her farewell, took the papers, and left Mythica alone at the cafe.
All she did was continue to sit there, her eyes shut as she listened to the sounds around her... Waiting for the person that would help her destroy a guild to arrive.
