It was early in the morning at the Silver Moon Inn, the sun had barely risen above the horizon most of the sky still blackened. Nothing moved this early, not even the mages most of the time, except for when one particular mage within the Guild one if it's Aces, who was a bit unique, had to live her life a bit differently than others. This wizard was incapable of sleeping through the night, every creaking floorboard and rattling branch woke her, both because of her hearing, and because she was so scared of the world she slept with a light on. Living each and every day wasn't so much the struggle because she died the second she saw her house burned down with her mother still inside, but existing was its own hell, yet every single day she had to get up to this hell and find some way to navigate it as if there was something else to be bought. While she had reason's to be happy like her guildmates? She also had reasons to be unable to drag herself out of bed and sometimes those outnumbered her will to fight. However, if the wind user was one in this world, it was someone who fought until they had no ability left to fight, until the very last breath, she had proven that several times, even though she didn't breathe anymore due to her bond with the wind. Another side effect of not breathing was the fact it made it slightly harder to tell when she was awake, normally one noticed their heart beating and breath leaving than entering lungs, but she didn't experience quite the same thing anymore. Sometimes, she wondered if her heart was beating because she exhibited a low soft thump due to her history and the fragile state of her physical body. Anyway's that was how her morning started, wondering if she was still physically alive than remembering she always had to be because otherwise there was no revenge to be wrought.
The witches small form rolled out of her bed, the pink blanket falling to a puddle on the floor as she yawned slightly, stretching in mid-air as her tail lashed once. Jiyu swiftly pulled a small pair of underwear and a bra onto her form before floating out of her room, she couldn't wear much else and not all mornings were all about her anyway's. "Maka?" the female levitated to the room across the hall from hers, knocking gently on the door as if the creature on the other side had sensitive ears as well, which considering a Kitsune was on the other side, the kid better. "Jiyu!" dressed in little fox pajama's the human disguised kitsune was quick to bust out of her room and rush to hug her levitating caretaker around the waist. "Shh Koto, you'll wake up others." Jiyu preferred not to be bothered by the other mages of the guild right before she headed out on missions! Yet, she couldn't be upset with Makoto for maybe accidentally waking up a person or two, the kitsune was barely on her second tail, still a toddler of the species! Luckily though Makoto was good at disguise magic or shapeshifting as she managed to disguise her two tails as extremely long pigtails, granted one's that sometimes moved like they weren't hair, but it was still easier than explaining to the mass majority that she had decided to take in a Kitsune she had been sent to take care of as a weaker mage. When the two first met? Makoto was recently orphaned and lashing out as passerby's very violently, so the wind user took the small fox in as oppose to killing her, because she knew how much it hurt to lose like that.
"Come on my aspiring mage, it's breakfast time." Plus if she had put the Kitsune in an orphanage? The special dietary need's species that were not human possessed could have present an issue, she was best off with another canine. Makoto gripped the wind user's small clawed hand with her smaller claws appendage, walking down the hallway beside the levitating Kazehime in the silly little fox sleeper she had gotten her hands on. "Sit here alright, I'll go get something from the kitchen." something uncooked, but considering the wind user's fear of flames? It was understandable that she never cooked, nor even attempted to, lighting a single match in the same room resulted in the female passing out most times, and the thought of fire made her body ache painfully as she remembered the feeling of that cursed heat against her skin burning away her flesh. Once she had fetched enough food, most of it being raw meat for the two of them? The canine levitated back into the cafe and set down their meal on the booth she'd told Maka to sit in, floating to appear as if she was sitting across from the child fox. Thus the two of them began a relatively silent but warm breakfast together which was a tradition between the two of them whenever Jiyu was actually at home. Often times? The wind user was not around thus causing the child to eat with the rest of the guild and study magic while she awaited the powerful mage to return home. Of course one day Makoto knew she would be able to go with again when she developed enough magical ability to be safe on Jiyu's missions again or enough people went with where someone could always watch her.
Of course, the silence eventually would be broken, it was almost impossible to remain the only two in the Silver Moon especially as the morning ticked on and the opening time came closer. Still, if anyone else showed up at the moment? They would be someone else sleeping at the inn, as it was not the time for the Cafe to open yet for another few hours. Sometimes, the people sleeping at the Inn were interesting, so hopefully whatever happened next to pull them away from breakfast would be a good show.
