Animals were not beings that Amalie carried any special feelings towards, she didn't dislike them, but she didn't feel that same warmth that others seem to feel. That love that owners would carry towards their pets, integrating a lesser species into their family and forcing it to be a part of their lives to fill whatever void they had. Perhaps it was something to do with the fact that her mother never allowed her to own a pet, why spend money keeping an animal when you could buy drugs right? Amalie's last memory of even wanting an animal companion was walking through the streets behind her money when she was eight, as she went to visit her dealer, seeing another child pass her by, adorable little puppy in hand. When she had asked about buying one, her mother had shot her down harshly. "Why would you want one of those Amalie, they're just needy creatures that can't look after themselves." Somehow when her Mother had said those words, Amalie had sensed she was talking less about a pet and more about Amalie. So she never asked again and that had been that.
The only other time she ever really had an animal close to her, was when Charles would swing by theirs to visit Wyatt, occasionally bringing along his two oversized Rottweilers. They may have been pretty dogs, had he not stuffed them with muscle expanding medication and taught them to be incredibly violent. One time Amalie had witnessed the two bitches tear a man limb from limb with a simple one word command. They were disgusting creatures, and greatly suited to the owner that reared them. Because of all these factors, Amalie wasn't especially fazed by the possibility of killing animals. Especially savage beasts such a Werewolves, she had only heard tales and horror stories about these monstrosities. Now that she was a working mage, it was time for her to face one herself.
She stood on the plains of the Curse lands, her long light-blue hair billowing in the wind behind her. She stood in a statuesque manner, in her newly fitted white uniform, representing her role as a member of the West Fiore Trading Company. Her cold eyes stared into the space in front of her, she was supposed to be doing this with another mage, who it was she did not know. The information had stated just to arrive in the Curse lands and deal with the beasts at hand. Perhaps, they would not show. But that would be fine, she didn't really fancy socialising, especially not after the idiot she had faced on the last job she took. However if they did show, she could only hope they would get on it with job at hand, she wasn't one for extravagant displays of magic. Pretty lights and sparkles where not her forte, sometimes the simpler the better in her perspective.
She would wait a few more moments, if her partner didn't arrive, she would set off on her own. She needed to track down these Werewolves, and who knew how long that would take. She had arrived at the last spot the Wolves had been spotted, now it was just a matter of picking up a trail. As though to answer her call, there was a howl in the distance. The corners of her lips rose in a smirk, Looks like it won't be too long until I get to play. She thought in excitement.
